Enjoyed a getaway to this historic inn. Entire mansion is full of antiques and interesting things to see. We enjoyed rocking on the large front porch and exploring the surrounding area of Lake Erie. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

I photographed a 50th wedding anniversary at Steele Mansion this past weekend. The building was absolutely exquisite. I truly felt like I stepped back into time. The staff was also so wonderful and accommodating. This is definitely a hidden gem in Northeast Ohio!

This place is absolutely stunning and Carol was amazing! We enjoyed seeing everything and LOVED the fact that Carol had so much information and so many stores relating to the mansion and the pieces (furniture, tapestries and pictures) We can't wait to go back to see and hear more! The George Steele room was phenomenal!

My friend had a baby shower for her daughter and it was absolutely perfect! The owner, Carol, was fabulous and went out of her way to make sure the event was everything they wanted it to be. I had the opportunity to her talk to her and her daughter after the event. What a lovely family who are very committed to supporting locally owned businesses. She makes you feel like family and so passionate about this beautiful mansion and it shows! I highly recommend grabbing a couple of friends for one of their cocktail hours or tours and if you’re looking for a venue for a private event, I would definitely consider them.

I HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous place! The entire staff were so nice, helpful, and informative. I have never stayed in a place cleaner than this place is. The hot breakfast in the morning was very good. The owner Carol is a lovely welcoming woman who gladly takes the time to show you around and explain history about the building and wow what a history it holds! Will definitely be back! Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I traveled from PA to the Steele Mansion for a night stay and did the guided tour with Carol. Everything was incredible from the story, to the rooms, and the staff! We will definitely be visiting again!

My best friend and I needed a weekend away and this was the most PERFECT place! We were treated like family. The rooms were absolutely magnificent and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast in the hatch was above what we excepted and the bar is stunning and well stocked. The state park near by offered beautiful hikes and the college across the street has a gorgeous quaint campus to explore. We already have plans to come back for our birthdays and to catch a murder mystery night!

What a beautiful place! We went there for a small outdoor concert and Carol could not have been a better hostess. She was warm and welcoming, shared a bit of the history, and was engaged with all of the attendees. The Peacock Room was amazing. Beautifully designed, comfy bed and very relaxing.

As someone with over 1000 nights at Marriott Hotels I can say this is the closest I've felt to being at home in a hotel. From the amazing building to the friendliest staff this establishment will not disappoint. I held a 2 day work retreat here and my team is still bringing up how amazing the experience was.

This is the most romantic and amazing place my husband and I have ever stayed! Like going back in time and actually having the opportunity to live in a gorgeous mansion! The staff was best ever and the owner Carol so sweet and knowledgeable. Our room the “blue room”. Was beautiful with comfortable bed, and the biggest bathtub ever! We cannot wait to come back!

My daughter booked a room 2 months in advance and when they got there they put them in a different room and acted like they knew nothing about it. Then when they brought it to management’s attention, the owner was annoyed with them. Not good!

This place is amazing. I have never stayed at a place that paid such attention to details. Pride in ownership is seen every where. This place is so clean. The bathrooms are immaculate! Amazing!

My Wife and I stayed over Halloween night. With only one other couple up on the third floor (which we met for a great breakfast), it was like having the "Mansion" to ourselves. I would highly recommend coming to one of the open houses. Deciding which room you want to stay in first is a tough call as each room is as beautiful as the next.

Steele Mansion Inn is open to the public for Happy hour from 5 p. M. To 8 p. M. On Wednesdays and Fridays. Seating is limited so suggest making reservations. There's a $5 entrance fee per person and appetizers and drinks are available for purchase. Visitors can tour the inn which has been renovated beautifully. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Awesome venue for an event. Carol and Elissa took care of everything including all my requests. If you have guests coming in and they need a place to stay, I recommend the Steele Mansion Inn.

This is a picture perfect Bed and Breakfast. Every detail and amenity has been thought of and put in place. From the design of the structure to the comfort of the beds to the selection of teas available. No matter how small the details are all there. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, safe and convenient location. We were visiting with friends both in Painesville and in downtown Cleveland. We were easily within driving distance of Cleveland's west side without having to stay there. The rates are affordable and the selection of rooms can not be beaten. It was stepping back in time to a more elegant time without losing the comforts of today. We will definitely return.

This is the most gorgeous inn that I have ever stayed at. I can't even begin to describe just how beautiful it is. For the quality and comfort, it is more than worth the money. Each room is unique and absolutely stunning in its own way. You won't regret it!

I had the most incredible reception there yesterday. I just had to brag lol. We exceeded capacity and they did everything they could to accommodate our overflow of guests. Our hotel room was huge! The perfect day. We love the family that owns the place. Carol is honest and loyal to her customers. Elissa is on point and behind the bar she’s a freaking riot. Wouldn’t have changed anything. Can’t wait to return for all my anniversaries. Wish I could give more stars.

I loved working with Steele Mansion! I am a local photographer and worked with them for an August 2017 wedding. It's beautiful, classic, and a perfect spot for photos! Highly recommend for your next event or stay!

Recently on Saturday 17 February 2018, my daughter and son in law just had their wedding and wedding reception at the Steele Mansion. I can not talk more about the helpfulness of the staff. They went well above and beyond to make sure their wedding was everything my daughter could of asked for. Everyone loved the Inn and got to tour the place. Food was very good. Since we served it family style you ended up getting alittle of everything. This place is great for a weekend get away or just a night away for happy hour on Wednesday or Friday. You can call them and host party's in any of their room. Rates are very well priced. I would like to say thank you again to the owners and staff that made my little girls dream wedding go smoothly.

Had a holiday party here for a friend and made a nice weekend out of it. It was absolutely AMAZING! Everything was perfect! From customer service, the atmosphere, the rooms EVERYTHING! The entire staff went above and beyond! They made you feel like you were the only one staying there! Its only been 2 days and I can't wait to go back! Every room was beautiful however the red room has the most amazing bathtub if you like to soak with plenty of room.

I loved the room! It was clean and comfortable. But it was noisy early in the morning due to the craft event being held there. Had I known when I booked I would have gone elsewhere. I feel if the venue is being used for a craft event it shouldn't be renting rooms at that time. The early morning noise ruins a restful night. Also there was no one of age to sell me a drink so the bar was useless.

It's a big beautiful mansion that's been restored back to life, if you want a little taste of history being respected and brought back to life, with a lovely relaxing stay, and great food this place most definitely deserves a 4 star, I recommend staying here for a night, or just come visit to see the beauty of this restored piece of history and have a great day doing so.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Steele Mansion. We went for happy hour but also got a history of the mansion from the very gracious owner, Carol. When touring, don't miss the basement!

Went on a paranormal ghost hunt they hosted there. Had so much fun hunting ghosts of the past there. Owner is super friendly and accommodating. Absolutely stunning inside and out.

Steele Mansion is a must visit! The beauty of this restoration is absolutely breathtaking. My husband and I took a tour, and we were treated like family from the moment we stepped through the doors. I had the pleasure along with my sister and both our daughters of spending the night at Steele Mansion in the Aviary room. The room was fantastic. It was the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in and the owner thought of every detail in decor and functionality. We were greeted by friendly staff and they were helpful throughout our stay. Every room was decorated in period furniture and we enjoyed looking through them. The breakfast was great and was a nice variety — from the cooked just right bacon and small potatoes to the lemon blueberry bread and fresh fruit we enjoyed every morsel. I will definitely be bringing others to stay at this beautiful mansion. This place was beyond my expectations.

If you are looking for a luxury getaway in Northeast Ohio, look no further than Steele Mansion. I stayed here for the nights heading into our wedding and could not have had a better experience. Each room has been designed to be its own unique luxury experience. I personally recommend George Steele's room, but you will feel like royalty staying in any of the room. It's also worth mentioning that the staff is easily the friendliest I've met in a hotel. The bartender was quite cheerful, even at 1am (yes, the bar is open until 2am and the drinks are fantastic)! In short, Steele Mansion is a hidden gem here in Northeast Ohio, and makes for the perfect weekend escape.

They don't give them to the servers at all. Which is crazy. They get enough from the guests. Why do they get to keep the tips? I stayed for 2 nights and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much for the price but the place was clean and it was quiet. I would come again. Don't expect plush bedding or balconies, but the place was clean, the room was of decent size and it was laid out well.

We like the Best Western hotels but this is the best of the best. We feel we are staying in a home not a hotel. The décor is exceptional, the breakfast delicious, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again when we are back in the area.

Steele Mansion hosted my parents 50th anniversary recently. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue or staff. Elissa and Carol were very helpful and responsive every step of the way. Steele Mansion was such a historic and inviting venue. Each room (in the historic mansion and also the addition) is beautifully decorated and the owners are very happy to explain the history of the building. I chose the Mansion for the ease of planning an event there. They handled all the catering, including the cake for my parents anniversary. The food was outstanding. A slideshow was made available for use with our family photos, along with a microphone for speeches and access to a sound system for background music. I streamed music from one of my favorite services. The guests had the option of staying the night at one of the beautifully appointed rooms at the inn. I’m finding myself looking for an excuse to plan another event there. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a unique location to have an event.

The renovation is beautiful. The rooms are nice but do not fit the amount of people comfortably. I'm not sure if there are different menus to choose from but the two times I was there the food was not good and wasn't enough to to feed the amount of people. Both times we had a macaroni salad, soup and doughy pinwheel sandwiches. Not good. It is a nice place but the amount you pay to have a shower there does not match what you get.

Great place to have a family gathering. The mansion was recently renovated and looks amazing. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely stunning! The mansion is beautiful, it feels like you're staying in a beautiful museum. All of the staff is very charismatic and helpful. Extremely attentive and charming. Each of the 18 rooms have their own unique style and layout. Would recommend this to anyone. A very unique and lovely place!

Well worth the visit and enjoy the beautiful place, especially on one of the porches. VERY friendly people and amazing restoration. Would recommend for a relaxing Wednesday or Friday evening or an overnight stay.
