Im stuck in Grand Rapids with car issues trying to visit family up here. I was frustrated and stressed to the max when I came in to check in, and im sure the staff could tell. Regardless of my attitude, I was assisted kindly and promptly which I couldnt say would happen elsewhere. Customer service is a tough world to work in and I'm thankful to have been helped with people who saw past my sour attitide and delivered great service. Thank you for your help I hope this review makes up for my negativity.

Nice location off of HWY 2. They do a great job on upkeep in and around the hotel. Tons of opportunities for food and beverage in the immediate area.

Clean, easy to get to, friendly staff, and no rooms are far from an exit.

Very patient, friendly and accommodating staff. Clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Very nice place, women and desk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! Takes a little bit to get comfortable in the beds for me, but otherwise it was a very good stay at the AmericInn.

Awesome hotel. Probably the nicest and cleanest hotel that I have ever stayed in as far as regular hotels go. I have stayed in five star suites, but that is a different product entirely. I wish all hotels were like this one. Soft pillows, towels were not scratchy, and the hotel room was actually clean! Breakfast was great.

Booked a pet friendly room for our family for 2 nights and ended having to cancel the first night based on the winter weather. Nothing was noted at time of reserving nor when I called 2 days ago to cancel the first night that the pool was closed for scheduled maintenance — the whole week! Not until we showed up for our reservation and read the sign were we made aware. We came up here to see someone in the hospital with my 9 year old son. Need a pool for something to do for him. 4.5 hours from home to come up here and to find this out is beyond disappointing and added stress. We will be looking for another pet friendly option in the future. Beyond disappointed.

Nice quiet rooms… good breakfast… nice staff… pool and hot tub… our favorite hotel.

Not a bad place but last time I was there the laundry staff stealed my speaker. So if you go there you better watch your stuff and dont leave it so the laundry staff can steal it from your rom.

Nice clean motel for value price. Definitely one of the nicer hotels currently in Grand Rapids.

This hotel was not what I was expecting. Everything was very clean and the bed was very plush, I felt very comfortable even at this value price! The lobby was decorated in a very cozy way, and it felt like staying over at a relative's house instead of a hotel far from home. I will stay at another Americinn next time I travel for sure.

Not a bad place. Beds and the rooms were clean. The Wi-Fi was ok you just had to watch an ad Everytime you wanted to connect to it. The night clerk who check me in wasn't the most helpful.

Love staying at this chain of hotels. Have spent 20 nights out of the last 30 in AmericInn and will continue to pick them first when available. Ok back again 2 months later. Had a really bad day and asked to be upgraded as I am an elite member with close to 50 nights stayed in AmericInn this summer alone. Put me sauna suit. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER… Thanks AmericInn of Grand Rapids. Really made my day much better.

Had an issue with Expedia messing up our reservations and the front desk went overboard to help correct the issue. Plus the room was nice and the breakfast good relatively speaking.

Great hotel, I've stayed here a few night for work, and have not been disapointed. The staff is friendly, breakfast is good, and it has a nice pool area. I would recommend this place to anyone on a trip looking for a place to stay.

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff, pretty good breakfasts, no elevator.

Location is easy to get to, and the exterior doors are positioned well so that it's never far from the parking lot to your room. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. Stayed in a room with a king size bed and pullout couch (for our 4 year-old), and there was enough floor space to set up our portable crib for the baby and still move around the room. I'll be happy to stay here again on our next trip.

Stayed several times before, it's always been a very clean, modest pricing, staff friendly stay. The breakfast is also a win-win. Stayed in both queen and king beds and they were both very comfy.

We just needed a place to stay for one night, and this place was great! Clean room, comfy beds, fun pool area.

I awoke to the smell of smoke at 1:24 am a made a call to the front desk and it rang and rang and after what seemed 5 min someone answered and it seems like she was Disturbed because I informed her that somebody was smoking and it was coming in my room I don't think she did anything because it went on till about 2:30 and the guy next to me was coughing up a lung not sure if that's where it was coming from but it made me go humm. Other then that it was a pretty nice place for the money.

Great place for friends or family to stay when they are in town. Too bad hot tub was down this weekend but still would rate 5/5

The hotel in Grand Rapids was a nice stay. The room was clean except for the fridge, but we were discounted appropriately. We were in the king suite and enjoyed the pool.

If you are a smoker I would stay away from this hotel. Although we did not smoke in the room, we were told that we did and were charged a $250 fee. Obviously, if you are a smoker, your things smell like smoke and will leave a residual odor. We stayed for 4 days so common sense will tell you that the room will most likely smell like smoke. The manager refused to refund this fee. The bathtub faucet would not shut off completely so it dripped continuously. Their website states that they offer a "hot, home-style" breakfast which is not true. They have breakfast sandwiches in a refrigerator that you can heat in the microwave. They also have a waffle maker but, apparently, it is only available when they feel like setting it out as it was not set out on our last morning. When we checked in there were particles of what appeared to be styrofoam all over the floor and anything near the floor level was covered in dust. I found a contact lens behind the sink in the bathroom so obviously housekeeping is not thorough. The hotel is set up in a sort of open concept so, from our room, we heard everything that was going on in the lobby. It was not a satisfactory stay and I will not stay there again.

Stayed here 1 night. Never stayed here before but was very pleased with the hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and maintained. Nice new LCD TVs. Very happy with the hotel. 5 stars.

Their rooms have Tv's from the 1990's, no fridge, no microwave. We had to get new keycards every night because ours would regularly stop working. The pool table in the pool room was exciting to see when we checked in, but it was jammed and would not work and the hotel clerk didn't have the key to the table because it was maintained by an independent company. The kicker was when we went outside for a smoke and realized the door back into the lobby was locked. Not the best policy to lock all doors except keycard-accessed doors after midnight when the keycards don't work. I've actually never encountered a hotel that closed their lobby.
