This was a beautiful place. Well kept, friendly staff and a gorgeous wedding destination either woods or lake. You cant go wrong. Thank for the great accommodations.

We stayed 2 nights in the nicest suite available, can’t remember what it’s called. We thought the property was gorgeous and all of the staff were so friendly. Every time you passed anybody they would give you a warm greeting, whether it be the front desk staff, cleaning people, or outdoor maintenance workers. The restaurant was amazing. We both thought our room seemed pretty outdated, but I wasn’t super disappointed because I had already seen the photos. I noticed a room across the hall had better and newer looking flooring that looked like vinyl planks, whereas our room had old dark blue wall to wall carpeting, with a few stains on it. For the price, it would be nice if it could be updated a bit. Also, layout of room didn’t seem exactly logical. There were a ton of empty cabinets in the kitchen area, but no stove to cook with (just a microwave and mini frig) so it seemed odd the kitchenette was so large. There were also not enough hooks to hang towels in the huge bathroom. We would come back, but not pay that price for the room again unless it was modernized. We may try the cottages at Bay Point Woods in the future.

The service was absolutely terrible. You should not have to chase down your coordinator to get her to do her job. Absolutely terrible! we were charged fees for services we ended up doing ourselves because the staff was not doing them. Would not recommend at all. They almost ruined my daughter's wedding day.

We had our wedding here yesterday, my husband was passing a kidney stone and all of the staff went so above and beyond. They even made make shift heating pads for us. Thank you Jocelyn!

Stayed 1 night this week for the kids to enjoy a getaway for Spring Break. Live pretty locally but never even heard about this place until a friend introduced it to me. Clean, friendly staff, very quiet, and as a picky pool person… I was able to go swimming with my kids because it was like bathwater! Win! Will be back. Very nice place. Beautiful lake view.

Pool was heated perfect temp the kids and I loved it. The hot tub was nice as well. Very clean Hotel and the staff was awesome!

We booked last minute for a New Year’s day overnight getaway. The room was beautiful, the lake view was stunning, even in snow! We enjoyed a bright beautifully decorated clean dining room, delicious breakfast, lovely fireplace, entrance, and the grounds were so well kept and beautiful. I imagine the lake view is even more fantastic in the summer, and we will definitely return!

The staff was very friendly, the food in the restaurant delicious. We had a great time swimming with our grandkids. The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable.

We stayed at the boathouse and rented out “The Woods” venue for our wedding, and wow, we weren’t disappointed. Our wedding was PERFECT. All of the food, the views, the cleanliness, and helpfulness from the staff were absolute perfection. Evan and I both in the moment and looking back at it now can’t think of a SINGLE thing that could have gone better. We are so impressed with everything and if we could do it over again, we’d do everything exactly as we did with Baypointe.

Was honored to be mistress of ceremonies at a wedding last night held at Bay Pointe. I worked with a group of professionals, beyond organized and fun group of people! Amazing place and mostly amazing employees! Jessica was three steps ahead of anything we needed. She made our job easy! Also a huge shout out to the staff Jocelyn, Jess, Olivia and Molly were also wonderful to work with. Thank you for making a special day go so smoothly and memorable!

We had our wedding at the Lakefront Pavilion and had a great experience planning a wedding from across the country. Ashley and Jessica made the process so easy and were great to work with. The venue is absolutely beautiful and with the rooms on site for guests makes it a one stop shop! Highly recommend this venue for an event!

Beautiful resort with amazing views of Gun Lake. We stayed in a cottage in the new Woods Resort. Our cottage was spacious and gorgeous! The food at Terrace Grill was delicious! The pool and hot tub are clean, warm and fun!

Although we planned for just an overnight stay, it was well worth it. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Our room overlooked the lake and it was gorgeous during this winter weather. To see it frozen over was breath taken. Our room was very clean, the bed and the pillows (I’m in love with those pillows) were clean and soft and the shower was amazing! Although we only had the continental breakfast, they still managed to serve some warm items and the staff there were very courteous. An amazing experience for my birthday weekend and our date night! Will definitely be returning in the Spring or summer with the rest of the family! Thank You Bay Pointe Inn for a great experience.

Beautiful view on Gun Lake! The grounds were clean, the lake was so clean, peaceful and calm.

Stayed at Bay Pointe Inn for a couple nights last week. Nice room, nice grounds, gorgeous view. Everything clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and service at the Terrace Grille at Bay Pointe Inn was exceptional. Also we loved the music on Wednesday evening. We enjoyed our stay so much we made a reservation to stay again in October to enjoy the beautiful autumn color change.
I would highly recommend the Bay Pointe Inn.

Perfect place to celebrate 75th birthday. Last year celebrated 35th wedding anniversary dinner there, this year added overnight stay. Hotel staff helped us select just the right room. Bartender Megan even created special pina colada from scratch and Amber was most accommodating serving everything from appetizers to desserts.

This is the amazing Take and Bake meal provided by Bay Pointe Inn for Mother’s Day. All I had to do was warm it up and set the table. Everything was delicious.

Love this place! We’ve been there numerous times and it never disappoints!

Booked the fireplace whirlpool room. The room was very nice clean and modern. View is incredible and would really enjoy staying again. Would love lighting controls in the bathroom for the whirlpool to dim them down a bit but we just used the led mirror lamp and turned off the lights instead. Set the mood very well with the heart shape flowers on the bed and chocolate strawberries. The pool room is very nice and clean big for a hotel pool also and the hot tub w as a great. Wish it was a bit warmer but 104 is pretty hot as it is. Staff was great and friendly but not to sure of location around the area that are open or deliver pare nights. Great place for couples get waya beside the drives you must do for anything fun or food.

Stayed in the fireplace/whirlpool suite with balcony and lakeview. The room was perfect… and the view… love it! Will definatly be back when we can enjoy the lake!

We luv to travel around MI to see all the nice/beautiful places it has to offer… this is NOT one of them. Although most the people there were very kind… I feel like we were NOT TOLD the whole truth about the New Years Eve Party purchase. A deal for buy 1 get 1 free was offered to go to the party, which was standing only because too many people were there. When I was told over the phone that we could get into the NYE Party Free if we DINED at the restaurant… I thought that would be great we always like to try new restaurants. Thinking if we spent the $75 just as we would have for the party + tip that would be fair. NOT ONCE was I told that we had to buy TWO Entree's… NOT ONCE! We spoke with 3 people who didn't say anything until AFTER we already purchased an appetizer & drinks… WE WERE made to purchase 2 entrees to get into the party : (I am NOT happy about this NON-FULL disclosure on the rules. We waited 1.5 hours for THOSE ENTREE's we had to purchase : (Than went to a party where we had to pay more $ to buys drinks that would have been free IF we would have purchased the buy 1 get 1 free. Again… NOT happy with NON-FULL DISCLOSURE of this… Won't be going back… now that I have spoken with the manager her stated it is not their fault that they didn't tell me because they ASSUME you will buy 2 entrees… no one should ever assume anything & they were not willing to make it right.

The Great View Of Gun Lake!

Went to Thanksgiving brunch. Was wonderful, warm. Well supplied tasty food. Good service as usual and our favorite guy Kyle was there helping.

We have stayed here for the last five years the staff has always been friendly and helpful and the rooms are impeccably clean.

We loved having our wedding here! The staff made our day possible, run efficient and smooth. Our guests really enjoyed the delicious food. The rooms are spacious, and beautiful. If you have the op to rent or even tour the boat house take the opportunity. Perfect setting for large families or get togethers. Looking forward to coming back soon!

This full service resort is a true treasure. It has everything you need to make amazing memories with friends and family! The staff goes above and beyond … even the owner is on site making sure your stay is perfect! We often take this for granted as it’s in our community. But, each time we visit either for happy hour on the patio lakeside, enjoying Gun Lake Live Bands, attending weddings and now celebrating our daughters 18th birthday … it’s always a fabulous time! The NEW Bay Pointe Woods is an incredible site with a beautiful and peaceful setting. The cottages were exactly what we needed for our girls night! We can’t wait to plan our next stay!

I was at Bay Pointe Inn for a wedding. It is such a beautiful setting right on the lake! The staff were all very friendly! The food was pretty good overall, with some items being better than others. The bartenders we're nice and generous with the drinks.

Attended a wedding at the hotel and stayed the night. The grounds were beautiful, the outdoor venue fit quite a lot of people. Room was comfy, the bathroom was enormous! Only suggestion would more public bathrooms for event guests. Would stay again!

I visited Bay Pointe Inn for the second time. This time I was in the Boathouse for a writing marathon. The Boathouse is awesome and the perfect place for writing. There are lake views and comfortable places to relax. Customer service was great too! I definitely recommend!

What a blast! We stayed in the boathouse for our daughter's wedding. The staff were so friendly and the wedding coordinator was amazing and it made it easy for my daughter to not have to worry about a thing. I would recommend Bay Pointe Inn 100 %.

Wedding venue! Such a great well kept secret here in South West Michigan! We were so incredibly impressed and pleased with our wedding weekend at Bay Pointe Inn! We rented out the boathouse for the weekend and had an amazing ceremony with 80 guests at the Boathouse ceremony site. It was almost a mini honeymoon to have a weekend away on gun lake. With 12 of our closest friends staying in the boathouse with us, it was exactly the family/friend celebratory weekend we wanted. The staff at Bay Pointe Inn was spectacular. They were friendly, helpful, efficient and very easy to work with! They went over the top to exceed our hopes and dreams for the day and weekend. The communication was excellent. From the beginning of the wedding planning up to the very end… They were communicative and collaborative and came up with creative and fun ideas. The bar and wait staff that night were fast and friendly. Everyone did an amazing job. We received so many compliments that day and weekend. It was as if no one even knew about this venue. We were so pleased overall… Thank you to Juno, Ashley, Clarissa and Brandon. We truly had the wedding of our dreams!

The view at this place is great. The setup and service people were exceptional for our wedding, overall was very happy with this place. Only the suites have mini fridges and I recommend the resort fix this and put them in every room. My wife and I had our wedding here and we overall were very happy, but there were some negatives. We were unable to take pictures in a few places they advertise, the wedding planners need better training they are not experts like they should be, they need to have industrial size fans under the pavilion which would help keep bugs away, and lastly they sneak a line into their contract that the price of food packages can change all the way up to 90 days before the wedding so of course they raised ours 5% (this is a shady practice).

I thought the staff, food and the other guest were amazing. As a travel agent this was a wonderful business trip that exceeded my expectations, I will and have recommended to others. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner (Michael Powers) and he was so kind to share with me the expansion of more cottages to come in 2019. I want to thank everyone for the experience.

I reserved a room for my husbands birthday. We required special accommodations and the staff was so helpful and welcoming. The room was wonderful, the grounds were breathtaking and we enjoyed the Kari Lynch concert at the pavilion overlooking the lake. What a wonderful night. Highly recommend this outstanding gem. So glad I found it, will be back.

This is a very cute and quaint hotel. We did not stay overnight here but visited on two occasions while staying in the area with family. First we went to Gun Lake Live, a weekly seasonal event with live music. It was the 4th of July so very crowded. We had trouble getting a spot to sit in the lounge and it took some time to order food but our server was amazing and on top of it. After drinks and appetizers we went back out to our boat to sit and enjoy the band. The second time we went was on Friday and we had not problem at all getting a spot at the dock and nice seats on the patio. The food here is good but a little over priced. I think because it's a cute place with a nice view of the lake they feel they can get away with it. I had lobster mac and cheese which was pretty damn good, but not sure it was really worth $25. Of course we would go and do it all again.

Great views… other wise ok… no fridges in regular room. Beds are not comfortable and you can hear other patrons above and next to you. Breakfast has options but the eggs are terrible.

Beautiful location on Gun Lake. They do a superb job with their gun Lake live Wednesday night events in the summer.

I was totally amazed at the awesomeness of this property! We went on a Wednesday night to see the live band and were more than impressed! The place was packed, the bbq was superb, the staff was very professional, and the all around atmosphere was super fun! We also ended up staying the night at the hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

We had our son’s high school grad open house at Bay Pointe. It was a huge success. Great servers, attention to detail, excellent food, the marketing people… I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Highly recommend.

The staff in the restaurant actually get to know you and make great conversation. The dining room has a very relaxing vibe and tasty menu.

This place is a gem. It's close enough to civilization to have fun yet far-off enough to disappear if you want to. The breakfast is hearty, and the staff conscientious. The best part is their off — season and weekday rates are absolutely the greatest value. I'd get away here every chance I got if I had the money!

Just in for a family celebration. Did not spend the night. Did not know about this gem hidden so close to home. Mightave to schedule a weekend get-away. Very nice facility. Staff was courteous and constantly looking after the needs of the guests.

Small town feel Big City Quality and Service. Staff are great and the restaurant is amazing. Local talent at night and a great atmosphere whater it is a couple get away or a big wedding which can be hosted on grounds. They are adding on additional cottages and venues. Worth the drive!

They ran out of 2 of the 3 specials they were offering on Valentines Day and it was still early. Dinner took a long time, 45 minutes, to be served however the food was pretty good and it was hot. Music was nice but a little loud and was competing with conversation.

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. We have stayed here in the summer and winter and both were great. You have the dock to keep your boat in the summer and the in room fireplace and jacuzzi in the winter.

The staff the location and the rooms are all A+. Everyone is extremely accommodating and the lake is beautiful for weddings and parties. Even the Terrace Grille has good food and service.

I stayed at Bay Pointe for a work retreat. The room was very nice and clean and the view was beautiful. The service was very good too. I would definitely stay again.

We went in a small group of three for their Christmas buffet. Food was good, but selections somewhat disappointing for the festive occasion and higher price charged. In addition most desserts were extra and expensive! $7.50 for a slice of pie? We'll make other plans this year.

First visit here and wow did we wait too long. Beautiful venue for certain, but they keep the promise by backing it up with great service and a stellar meal. We will definitely return.

This Inn is beautiful. Just got back from a wedding at the boat house. The staff is superb. They are very friendly. They have a very organized system in place for everything. I highly recommend this place for weddings, vacations, relaxation, group events etc, etc… very fun, lots of things to do on the beaches and boats. The accomodations are spectacular and the views are beautiful.

Came here for a wedding, and it was fantastic! Located on Gun Lake and the landscaping made for a beautiful backdrop and the food was delicious. Servers were kind, attentive and was able to keep up with the 125+ crowd. Did not personally stay in the rooms, but heard they were spacious and comfortable.

Travelling for work, picked this because is was close to where we needed to be. Great property, friendly staff. Nice complementary breakfast (limited, but decent). Awesome spot in the lake, this looks like a great little destination hotel for a wedding or mini vacation. Clean, well kept rooms. They apparently have live music Wednesday evenings in the summer. Cool looking outside patio/deck area.

Beautiful inn that is located on gun lake. I'm sure it is much better during the warm summer but since it is their "off " season it was cheaper and you can't beat it for the price. Their grille was also delicious.

We stayed at a newly renovated room. The upgrades and additions were very nice. There was a wedding going on, but I don't believe we heard any noise from it at all. A very quiet and enjoyable stay.

Went here for a company 'Christmas Party' Dinner and it was fantastic! They served wonderful food and were extremely professional. The grounds are kept beautifully, and it has an exquisite view of Gun Lake.

Nice hotel in a woody area on Lake Gun. Room was cute and tidy. Lady at front desk was very nice. Good mountain bike trail 10 minutes away called Yankee Springs and it's groomed after snow. Restaurant is attached to hotel so I didn't have far to go to refuel after checking in. Free breakfast in the restaurant too.

Had a wonderful time last night the room my wife and I had was great. We had the room with the hot tub, fireplace and view of the lake the price was outstanding. The room was very clean the front desk staff was very pleasant and friendly. The pool area was clean and the pool water was warm not cold like a lot of indoor pools we have used. The breakfast was good also. Keep up the great work you all do.

The service was incredible, the staff was very understanding of the stress involved in hosting a wedding and extremely courteous. I didn't get a room, but the view of the lake was beautiful.

Excellent staff. Attentive and flexible. They participated in the reception, while still maintaining an exceptional level of service. Melinda was extremely helpful and the entire event weren't on without a hitch.

Lovely setting… Terrible food. Risotto was like paste and walleye tasted like a bland piece of frozen fish. Told our server and also the hostess, who's commentary was "I've been hearing that alot lately"! Really? No adjustment on the bill and never an offer of bringong something else. Totally unprofessional and not indicative of fine dining. We won't be returning.

My fiancé and I visited here to check out the area for a wedding venue. The place was beautiful and the customer service was great.

The hotel is nice. The 2 stars is for the fact there is no coffee in the room, the hotel has a restraunt that served a cheap continental breakfast while some group was able to eat real breakfast at the restraunt and not serve the customers actually staying. What a disapointment. We then decide to go eat breakfast and the front staff was nice but sent us on a 10 mile run to a nice place that was closed. Very frustrating. How do you book a room advertising a restraunt yet you cant serve your customers yet allow some small group of people and entire full buffet. I felt very upset and obviously duped on the hotel experience all together. Either way. We wont be back here.

Everyone was very nice, my wife and I booked our room for this fall. No complaints besides the food. Prime rib was cold but spinach artichoke dip was delicious.

We love this gem. It's close to GR, but not too close. The service and atmosphere are exemplar y.

Stayed in King jacuzzi suit. Very clean room and spacious. Loved the view of the lake from our private balcony. Only down side is that the food at the restaurant was not very good and over priced for a dish with tater tots.

Nice place to stay right on the lake. Was here for a wedding. Couldn't be more convenient to have the ceremony and reception at the same place without having to drive anywhere afterwards.

Some of the best continental breakfast I've ever had in my life. The whole place was clean and gorgeous and the room was spectacular, but the breakfast was the highlight.

Looks and seems like a nice place but because there is not at least one smoking area I would not pay that kind of money to go and smoke off the property sorry there are so many nice places to stay at that I should be able to smoke at least one area of the property.

Amazing view of the lake. Fantastic and clean rooms. Staff was very friendly. The only down side was that the "workout facility" is only one elyptical and one treadmill.

Traveled from the Chicago, and it was awesome seeing Gun Lake. View was perfect. Although, all the attraction close at 5 and everything is about 20mins-1 hour drive. Only down fall. Terrace Grill "build-your-burger" was on point.

Perfect cozy getaway. What a gem! The included breakfast was outstanding. The on-site restaurant was decorated beautifully. Our room was spacious and our balcony was perfect for enjoying the sun. The pool was clean and well maintained. Only con was that the sheets were very dry and scratchy.

Wonderful place. The negative reviewers are being far too picky. Stayed two nights and loved it. One can tell that the staff is genuinely hospitable and friendly immediately upon walking in the door. Our room (lower level, basic room) was immaculately clean and nicely furnished (not plain, but not luxurious). Had a great view of the lake! Dinner at the Terrace Grille was excellent. Not what you would expect from fine dining in a big city, but a very nice atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Great presentation. Plenty to do nearby. Hiking, fishing (through ice or from a boat), boating, ski trails, casino if you're into that. Great indoor pool and hot tub at Bay Pointe. Our only quibble was that the workout room was a bit small. I wouldn't describe this as an upscale resort, but I don't think they advertise this way. It is a wonderful getaway packing unbeatable value for your dollars. If you pay for one of the luxury suites, you'll get more class — — but the basic rooms are fantastic, too. HIGHLY recommended for a weekend getaway. The facilities they can provide for retreats and weddings look great, too. And once again, the staff can't be beat. We'll go back without looking elsewhere first.

The food was alright at the Terrace Grille at Bay Pointe Inn. The problem we had was with their billing practices. It's not a bad place to go for dinner as long as you actually take a moment to carefully review your bill for anomalies before paying it.

The crew at Bay Pointe Inn made our wedding day the most memorable day we have ever had. While planning a destination wedding was extremely stressful, Kari, Jenna and Marissa were a pleasure to work with. They were so kind throughout the entire planning, racking up over a hundred emails getting all the details in order for our big day. The day of our wedding the entire staff were making all the final touches and doing whatever we needed to perfect our day. From the moment upon arrival we were impressed with the staff and the cleanliness of the resort. The Day of our wedding Kari and Jenna were so helpful coordinating the entire event and greeting our guests with a warm smile. They both treated everyone not as customers but as friends. They certainly made a place in my heart on the happiest day of my life. We would highly recommend them for any event. Thank you Bay Pointe Inn for making our day magical. Cant wait to visit in the years to come.

It's a really beautiful place. With that being said it's difficult to go there just as a normal guest. They are booked with weddings (there were 3 while we were there for one night), so it made it hard for us to enjoy the beautiful grounds because there were constantly weddings going on. We couldn't really go out on the dock or lie in the sun. A week after we stayed there we got a charge for $60 for a red wine stain from "a box of red wine that was left" there. Neither my husband or I like red wine and we did not bring a box of wine there. They insisted we did. I'm unsure if they got the room wrong or if they got the date wrong but it was very annoying to be accused of something you didn't do.

Bay Pointe Inn was the best location for our wedding ceremony and reception! My husband and I were looking for a destination wedding were we could invite close family and friends, but not have to fly to get there. Being from West Central IL, it was a 4.5 hour drive and the perfect destination wedding. All of our guests are still talking about how great the location was, even though getting there was questionable, with the resort being in the middle of nowhere. All of the staff is superb! I was not stressed at all with everyone being super helpful! I highly recommend Bay Pointe Inn for your wedding or event.

We read the reviews before booking our wedding at Bay Pointe and I honestly thought how can it be THAT good? So we took a trip to check it out and it was absolutely perfect just as everyone had said. They had it all, and Mariesa made it seem as though the sky was limit on anything. I bet we were not even there 10 minutes and I was already asking to reserve Bay Pointe for our wedding and reception. It was fabulous.
