Absolutely the worst experience with this hotel! Manager has a personal guest that are allowed to verbally assault other guest. Terrible way to spend your honeymoon, highly recommended the grand or anywhere else on the island. Customer service is not at this hotel, this hotel has had poor maintenance, there are a lot of bad dirty spots in this hotel as you can see In the pictures! Also a lot of safety hazards. Fire extinguishers not checked at all. Broken and possibly already used ones as well. Emergency fire doors always left open. This is what I have found in 20 Minutes looking around. And it will only let me add ten picture at a time. There are a lot of factors on why you should not stay here. Do yourself a favour and never stay here. Also not lgbtq friendly!
Amazing experience on Mackinac Island and we couldn’t have imagined staying anywhere else. Convenient location, helpful staff, beautiful rooms the list goes on and on. Thank you for making this family vacation memorable.

Unless you are a “preferred guest” you will be unable to enjoy the amenities of this hotel. We enjoyed our stay until verbally assaulted when we returned from dinner and tried to enjoy the fire outdoors. Questioned about everything including our room number, which was none of this ladies business. We are guests of this hotel and paid good money to stay here. We were told by her we were not allowed to sit there. While we are smokers, and had been here for days already, guided by the staff as to where to smoke and had been courteous guests about cleaning up. This woman went to management who was clearly a friend and we were removed. She told us we would “have a better time somewhere else” and that these areas are only for guests. Management would not do anything for us as they did not witness the verbal assault. This was our first time to the island, and trying to enjoy our honeymoon. We will certainly never be back to this hotel, as this is unacceptable. We are respectful people and only appreciate respect in return. Management simply walked away from us saying “well, what would you like me to do”.
