Review of Best Bear Lodge 2*

What a gem to unearth in the northern lower! The hospitality started the morning Carrie called us during our travels. She was inquiring when we would anticipate arrival, so that she may ensure the cabin was warm for us. What wonderful personal service! Upon check-in, Carrie took us to our cabin and familiarized us with all the amenities. I was blown away by the amenities included in the comfort of our cabin. No detail was left overlooked. If you want creature comforts of home and feel like you’re miles from reality, this is the place for you. Everything is in new condition, CLEAN and inviting. When we discovered there was no can opener in the room, Carrie let us know that there should be. She immediately brought out a new electric can opener for us to use. I had the pleasure of meeting Carrie‘s husband, Matt. Awesome people. He was measuring a window to replace the blinds because he thought it needed an extra inch to keep the light out. I thought there was absolutely nothing wrong with the blinds. It just solidified the fact that Matt and Carrie leave no detail overlooked. In fact, I think they put too much detail into everything. Don’t tell him I said that! Not a bad trait! I asked Matt if there was firewood on site for purchase. He ensured me he would drop by some wood with some fire starter. When we got back for the evening, as promised, plenty of wood, gratis! We were snowmobiling the weekend that we had gone up. They are located on the powerlines which can be used to access the trails. This seems to be a great hub to enjoy Powersports as well as fishing, hiking, fall color touring or just relaxing. I will be staying here to do some salmon fishing in the fall. Camper trailers are set up with full hook up for rent during the warmer seasons and are currently preparing for very large, full hook up seasonal lots for your big rigs. Looking forward to that. Matt and Carrie have something special that I haven’t found anywhere else before. I feel like I have made new friends and a new place that I will frequent for decades to come. There is always upgrades and work being done around the lodge. They know what it takes to stay on top. Do yourself a favor and check out the Best Bear Lodge. You won’t regret it.
