Visited friends. It was fairly clean. Was however concerned that none of the doors were secure and didn't need keys to get in.

Clean rooms, microwave, mini fridge, cable tv, security doors, management is very nice. Best motel for the $ that I have seen for a very long time.

I am giving this place a generous 4 stars because they are under new ownership and fixing a lot. The whole place is under on going restoration. THE GOOD: -Price I got a room for 60 bucks -They have tv -They have small refrigerators in the rooms -A/C -Was clean, is beat up a bit, but clean THE BAD: -The A/C is very loud -They have Wi-Fi but it is way too slow -Rooms are unfinished, but everything works -There is a stale smoke smell in the hallway (This is now a non smoking building that still needs the vents and ceilings re-done) Overall I had a nice time there. The staff was friendly and quick when I had a question. I would stop there again. 5-27-18

I stayed at this hotel nothing bad to say every thing was great stay the price is just right and the staff and services were perfect and polite.

It was disgusting! Half of the lights didn’t work. There was a cigarette burn on the blanket. The only soap in the entire room was a used bar in the bathtub. My wife did not sleep well because she was worried about bed bugs. I will never stay there again. Do yourself a favor and pay $10 more at a different hotel.

Comparable comfort to the Comfort Inn I was in the previous night in Salt Lake City (and about the same price) with a sort of classic "homey" vibe, like of I was in a mom and pop B&B. Place is likely getting slow updates, but everything was clean and in good condition. No free breakfast, but considering free breakfast is usually continental (make it yourself waffles, cereal, etc) not a huge loss.

Nice friendly place but they require a deposit if you don't pay by credit card.

Didn't stay there met up with a buyer on letgo.

It's not too bad room was very quiet my bed was very comfortable and housekeeping cleaned every day the price was very fair.

Although they are making improvements it still a decent place to stay and the rates are fare. Some improvements can be made but like I said they are doing them and most likely get to what ever I may say now but I will wait till it's all done before I commit on anything. But I do recommend this place to stay if your needing a long-term place.

Out dated, needs to be updated immediately. Smelled like smoke and generally wasn't clean. Duct tape used to hold floor strip down at entrance of room. Will not be staying again.

The place is very nasty very rude service and has bed bugs and too many people living there and wires hanging all through the halls will never go there again!

We stayed a full week here and never saw any bugs, like other reviews claim. Our only complaint was that the smoke room smelled like someone had chain smoked prior to us, but quickly aired out within a day. Also there are alot of people hanging outside at all hours, but everyone kept to theirselves, no problems. Front desk ladies were super friendly and helpful.

It was a pretty middle-of-the-road Hotel. Not fancy not run down I don't know what the prices are I was just delivering pizzas. But I would feel fairly comfortable staying there. I really need to look into prices if I'm going to keep doing these reviews.

Nice prices for the room we wanted but it still advertises the swimming pool is open all over the building and then when asked was told they no longer have it. I was never informed of this when I called or when I checked in with my kids. Very disappointed with that I guess I will be using the hotel that I used when I was a kid from now on.

The hotel has excellent service when it comes to the receptionist. However the hotel is in serious need of renovations and better management.

The rooms are very spacious, and clean right from the start. The beds and pillows very cozy and location was great. Even though hotel was near busy intersection no noise lst could be heard at night.

It makes me so sad to see an old place like this be this run down. The halls smell of stale smoke. Ceiling in our room was half way painted. The bathroom is super old. If they would change the carpet air the place out and give it some new paint this place would be amazing. It breaks my heart how bad it is, I love when I see old buildings still going strong, but this one is really bad. They let this place go. I say get someone else in here to run it and fix it up.

Roaches Galore Stayed For A Long Term Paid Rent When It Was Due Even With Timely Payments The Managers Still Treated Me Horribly Parked My Car In Their Parking lot To Have The Maintenance Hit A Rock With His Weed Eater Causing It To Obliterate My Drivers Side Window Even With Car Insurance And Police Officers Called The Management Still Denied Fault And Still Haven't Made Payments To My Insurance Company For The Damage They Caused You'd Be Lucky To Get Room Service And In Order To Make Living There Slightly Manageable You Had To Pay For Your Own Pest Service For A Endless Swell Of Cockroaches And Bedbugs I Checked Out A Week Before My Check Out Which Would Have Gave Me 250 Dollar Refund But They Don't Refund I Was Told To Contact Corporate Via The Website Because Apparently The Management Didn't Know Their Number… Upon Searching The Web I Found No Trace Of A Corporate Office Soooo They Lied And Said It's A Corporate Chain And If You Need To Do Your Laundry On Account Of An Extended Stay You Can Only Do It From 5 — 10 pm Because The Housekeepers Use GUEST Laundry For Sheets And Towels AND USE HOUSEKEEPING LAUNDRY ARE For Their Own Personal Gain And If You Get In Late And Check In Be Ready To Have Children Scream Laugh And Yell Up And Down The Halls Because The Management's Entire Family And Friends Live There And Don't Seem To Care If Their Kids Disrupt The Guests Or Not Overall The Management Is Very Selfish And Only Cares About The People They Know Within The Old

Went there for a social event in des moines iowa it was nice.

The place is a disgrace to the hotel/motel industry. It was obviously bought for cheap by a "family" of idiots who don't know what they're doing or how to run a hotel/motel. They promise Wi-Fi and it only works (somewhat) if you're close to the front desk. I checked in here for a week and it's winter time and these idiots have plywood duck taped in the windows with AC units still in the windows. We checked into a freezing cold room, had to wait 3 hours for them to figure out how to program a key for our door which wouldn't lock when we closed it, we cranked the thermostat on the wall all the way to 90 degrees and it took the heating system 7 hours just to get the room to 75 degrees, the fridge had a small separate freezer compartment that had an ice pack in it to keep it cold (which was broken open and melted leaving the freezer filled with water, and they folded a towel up in there? ) there were roaches in the room, it stunk of God knows what, and all of the staff at this place are straight up a**holes. They have no sense of customer service and no sense of respect for the people paying them money. The health department should be notified of this place and it should be shut down, though the place looks condemned already… 100% Disgusting, which is sad because with the right owners and care this old building would make a beautiful hotel.

This place honestly does not even deserve 1 star. I made arrangements to stay with someone while working the Iowa State Fair, & this is what she booked. I stayed here 11 nights and I have no clue how I made it through. Upon arrival plenty of sketchy people loitered the parking lot which is something that we learned was normal there. We were constantly killing roaches everywhere, the walls & the bathroom especially. With it being infested with roaches no food could even be left out which was a huge pain with 4 girls in 1 room and a mini "mini fridge. " Laundry was a huge pain in the ass until about 7 days of being there, they finally understood we were working and could only wash our clothes after we were off. People actually live in this motel & they don't exactly seem like the best people. I would have to agree that there is probably a lot of drug use going on in this facility. Honestly, I didn't even feel comfortable taking the trash out to the dumpster after dark because you know they only come and clean the rooms maybe once a week. We couldn't even get ice from the ice machine. I could go on but take it from me, go on down the road to the Motel 6 or the Rodeway Inn, either are much more suitable.

Worst hotel on earth. Does not even deserve one star. Spend the money and get a better room somewhere, anywhere else. All this place deserves for rating is a 55 gallon drum of gasoline and a match and never speak of this complete dump again… ever. Filthy from floor to ceiling. Lights did not work in the room. Ply wood on all the windows. The pool that was advertised online was, of course, " down for repairs". Probably the biggest meth/Crack kitchen in Des Moines. Sketchy people outside lottering all day and night. I am ashamed I let my kids spend one second in that crack den. Service stunk! I accidentally forgot my son's favorite stuffed animal that he sleeps with and called back to ask if they could look and basically got told to "get screwed". "They already threw it in the dumpster. "

Roaches everywhere! do not stay at this hotel unless you wanna take home roaches! check your room before you check in, cause they will not give you back your money, it's in the paper work you sign!

Fter a 24 hour drive and barely getting any sleep driving up from the West Coast we stumbled upon the Extend a Suites, the lady at the desk was very nice and helpful, it was around 12 am. She told me that we needed to look at the room because they did not offer refunds. The first room I looked at looked clean however the TV was on and one of three beds wasn't made properly. So I checked out another room and it appeared clean and would've been sufficient. I booked for four nights and within 5 minutes of paying and realizing we had to leave the 4th night I booked I called the front desk and told them that I had made a mistake and only needed 3 nights as we would be leaving the 4th day. She informed me that there were no refunds and I had assumed in my sleep deprived state that only converted satisfaction not that they would charge me for a night that I couldn't stay if I wanted to. I was told to talk to the manager Monday as she could offer a refund. I talked to the manager and she said it was out of her hands and she couldn't offer a refund if she wanted to. Aside from the fact that they wouldn't refund my money for the night we couldn't stay the place is disgusting. Carpets are filthy, it looks like they have never vacuumed the hall ways, or entrance ways.

They dont have a free breakfast at all. Ask before you check in. Rooms are smelly and showers are not clean. Very old and shaby place. We stayed here for one night which was ok. If u plan to stay longer, find something else. The price will be $40 plus tax =44.80 if you give the Volve dealership reference which is right accross the street from them. Save $20.00 if you care to :).

This place is not clean and is infested with rouches as well as they wont fix anything they also have people on crack all over the place its just a all around bad place police are there all the time I would not even try it.

I stayed there for a week and just couldn't do it anymore. First off theres sime serious looking drug users there. Im pretty sure a lot of meth using is going on in there because theres a very strong distinctive odor in the hallways that just burns my nose whenever I walked through there so be aware and no its not cigarettes or weed. And get this they have free coffee but no sugar or creamer but yet have a cup of coffee stirrers next to coffee machine. The clueless hotel rep said the stirrers go with the coffee. I getting a headache. Anyway the rooms are old they only clean the rooms once a week. Youre not allowed to use the laundry room until after 3 and by appointment only. Serious. I can go on and on about this place but if youre reading this and 7 still decide to stay there. Im pretty sure youll agree with everything I said and maybe add your on horror stories. Trust me.

Well all I can say is don't book ur room in the morning. Book. After 3pm when the witch lady is gone. I have never in my life been treated so badly. Also rooms are not nice stink an looks bad. The only good thing is its cheap. So if you are looking for a cheap room go ahead.
