Excellent stay. Felt like I was the first person in my room. Staff were friendly and I loved the cookies and coffee in the lobby!

Staff was wonderful and our beds were so comfy! Breakfast in the morning was good and complimentary and it had a great family atmosphere.

Great little casino and hotel in the middle of Iowa. Nothing much going on in all directions and then you come across a nice hotel with casino!

Hotel is only a few yeas old. It is very nice and clean. The beds are so comfortable! There is a swimming pool. The breakfast is good! It's attached to the casino, but it is still very quiet! Definitely a nicer hotel than the Super 8 across the street, and worth a little extra money!

Went for a birthday celebration at the casino, and spent the weekend with friends. Location was ideal, just a short indoor walk to the casino and restaurant. Food was good, (both the hot breakfast and the restaurant), hot tub was hot, and staff was friendly. Rooms are small, but have basics. Beds are hard as a rock. So hard, no one in our party could sleep, and no recliner or other option. Maybe they have a deal with the casino, if no one can sleep then they’ll spend more money there? No idea, but being the main reason for getting a room was to sleep, that was a pretty big fail. We will come back to gamble and eat, but I won’t recommend the hotel rooms to friends unless they sleep well on concrete.

I stay here often and this place is probably one of the nicest if not the nicest Cobblestone Hotels. There is a lot here that seems to be lacking at other Cobblestones like the pool and elevator. The rooms are always really clean and make you feel like you're checking in to a brand new room.

The courteous service and caring attitude of the staff at this motel was amazing. My family suffered a fire and they allowed us a free stay while my family could make other arrangements.

Very nice and clean place to stay. Friendly staff. However, the walls are very thin and sound between rooms is horrible. I heard every word and sound the neighbors made. TV was like it was in my own room. I sleep with ear plugs in to try and deaden the sounds.

This was a really nice hotel. We loved the big town feel in such a small town, it has a nice indoor pool, breakfast, and it is connected to a casino. My son and I have asthma and we didn't smell smoke or wake up having a hard time breathing!

Decent hotel, although the front desk employees seened pretty unfamiliar with eveything they did.

Took 45 minutes to check in and got billed for 2 rooms. I didn't get a receipt at checkout due to the fact that they were working on the servers. I had to wait 20 days to realize that I had over paid. I'd never go here again.

New, clean and smoke free. My wife has trouble sleeping but had no problems here. Quiet and comfortable.

Had dinner/drinks @ The Coaches Corner, their Nachos and server were great!

The bathroom toilet clogged after the first use. The first gal couldn't fix what would have been an easy fix and got toilet water all over our floor. Breakfast was good though.

I travel for my job and have stayed in plenty of hotels and motels around the U. S. But for the price this is one of the best places I've stayed in very friendly staff the rooms are well kept and the rooms kinda make me feel like I'm back at home so if you are looking for a nice place to stay definitely stay here.

Not a very nice visit! Heater didn't work, appeared that the floor wasn't vacuumed for some time, & the shower curtain had something on it that I didn't care to touch. I paid $60 and really got a $30 room.

My family and I have stayed here numerous times over the years and it is a great little motel. The manager is very friendly and has always done all he could to make our stay comfortable… just ask and if he can he will help out. As another reviewer noted the motel is circa 1970s but has always been clean and served us well. If you are looking for an Embassy Suites or something along that line this is not it but if you want a clean, inexpensive little place to stay it fits the bill. My family and I will continue using this place in the future.

I've stayed at the Redwood 4 or 5 different weeks now while working on the road. The gentleman who operates this motel is friendly and courteous. The accommodations are basic, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. All are equipped with refrigerators. He works hard to keep it an affordable place for traveling workers. It's very convenient to be able to park right in front of the door for loading and unloading! Not a new concept, but hard to find these days with larger motels. Wifi was spotty, but I've seen worse. Allowed me to get my business done. No continental breakfast, but I think those are overrated, anyway. All in all, this was about the best place I've stayed in Iowa for the money. And I have been ALL OVER this state!
