I might be willing to change my rating SLIGHTLY depending on response. Myself and members of my company (three ladies, a man, and our underage male intern) were traveling to Indy for business, stayed here because it said both on Expedia and the website itself that is could "Comfortably accommodate 5 adults. " Our reservation was for 5 adults. We check in around 9pm on March 5th and the front desk clerk (who was incredibly nice, and the only saving grace of this entire stay. Should have gotten his name, I'm sorry) said that they don't have rooms to accommodate 5 adults. Still assuming that it would be ok, we go up to the room. It's supposed to be a Country Inn AND SUITES after all. We assume there would be a couch in the room and that we would be able to figure it out. But we couldn't, since it was just a standard double room, no couch and no space for anything extra. We go back downstairs because this clearly isn't going to work. The front desk man calls the General Manager and comes back and said there are two options, we could book a second room for an extra $200 for 2 nights or he could maybe borrow a cot from the hotel across the street. Except, the only place there would have been to put a cot would have been right in front of the door, which is a HUGE fire safety violation. Our company gave us a strict budget for our stay and we feel like basic safety should be obvious, so neither of these were an acceptable alternative.

My brother, sister and I took a trip to Indianapolis for a family gathering and we stayed here. From the time that we walked in the receptionist Rita was very nice. The entryway was immaculate, it looked so comfortable and inviting. Once we got to our room it was very clean, the bed and the pillows were nice and soft. We had plenty of room to move around and enough space to store our belongings. In the morning they serve a complimentary breakfast which was also very good. They had everything that a person could want for breakfast. Check out was very easy and I recommend this hotel if you are ever in need of a room or you just need to get away for a weekend. They also have a pool and a exercise room. The area has plenty of different types of restaurants to dine at in walking distance from the front door, and it also has night clubs in the same area if you're looking for something to do later in the evening. Check them out you will be impressed.

Clean and newly renovated hotel, nice rooms and refrigerator. Extremely helpful staff and go out of the way to help in any way. Highly recommend staying here, Also includes a hit breakfast buffet.

We arrived for the GenCon event in Indianapolis earlier than our room was ready, but the front desk was still accommodating with giving us our room key. Knowing we wouldn't be back to the room until way later in the night, this was very nice for them to do. Especially since there were still guests in the room. Once we finally got to see our room, it was clean and very inviting after a tired day. The beds were harder than I liked, but still comfortable. I would and probably will stay here in the future.

The overall experience was nice. The guy who checked us in seemed like he didn’t want to work there… but did his job well enough. The elevator situation was weird. I could barely get the luggage cart into it. The room was good. My only letdown was the lack of a recliner… or something comfy to sit in while watching tv. Breakfast in the morning was complimentary (free) and was adequate. The desk clerk came by and attended to things in there. Yes, I would recommend this place if stopping by in the area. No serious complaints. There’s also a lot of dining options in the immediate area as well.

Came here checked in. Left due to family gathering. Pool sign say 6 am to 12 am. We got back late so let the kids and nieces and nephew go swimming. Was told by the staff that kids were not allowed after 11 pm. I understand that but it’s a Friday night. Kids have been in the car most of the day and they can’t have fun. Last time I will be here.

Not the nicest or cleanest Country Inn we have stayed at but when we made a complaint the management was very quick to resolve the problem. The were kind and apologized many times. The location was also nice as there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance of the hotel.

Clean renovated modern rooms and facility. Friendly staff. Close to night life and restaurants and shopping. Easy access to hwy.

I am very disappointed in this hotel this time around. The so called remodeling that took place took away the atmosphere this hotel provided in previous years. The workmanship of some of the work is substandard to my standards. This is a list of things I found disappointing. Stairs, the natural finish made the entrance feel open and more inviting, the carpet on steps is too wide and the patterned making it too hard to determine the last step at the top. The chair rail gone. Door color changed. The room decor, room decor changed. The country charm is totally gone. This hotel in South Port (Indianapolis) used to be my favorite hotel of them all and I do mean all. Now I will have to re-evaluate further hotel stays in Indy. Good about hotel: The staff is friendly and accommodating, made me feel welcome. Location worked well for me. Well those two things are the only things left wealth of this stay! I know times change but, taking away the country charm makes this hotel just like all the rest. Overpriced place to lay your head down to sleep. So sad. I know things in this review will not make any difference. The atmosphere of a hotel makes a big difference when it comes to repeat customers.

Worst night's sleep I've had in years. I write this listening to my neighbors talk in normal voices. Walls are paper thin. You can hear everything your neighbor does and you can guarantee they hear you too. Every door that slams, you'll know it. Get unlucky enough to have a family with three kids and a baby next door, you will wake up everytime they do. Someone left a TV on all night. Could hear that at 4am. Will not be staying at Country Inn ever again. Hotel looks like it's been updated from outside. Kind of a dump when it came down to it though. Should have added sound insulation instead of new exterior siding.

Great room for most part pretty clean, staff very courteous, breakfast awesome.
I wanted room with indoor pool for my two night stay, to be able enjoy with my 2 great grandsons. Yes upon arrival kids wanted to swim,,, Water was cold, notified front desk, manager responded quite timely manner. I can understand water needed to be added early my day of arrival, temperature not adjusted or not working properly. Second day of stay, sorry say temperature NOT really good for swimming, totally disappointed my stay, as ONE main reasons selected was indoor pool, $$ seemed fair with use of indoor pool. As not able to use, enjoy pool, my stay was least to say disappointing.

Very accommodating to all I needed. Also. I was comfortable they have rocking chairs and a gas grill in front that just made you feel like chillaxin. Ppl were most humble. Its good if you have pets too. My puppies werent bothered and ill give it to them even the guy changing the garbage was impeccably dressed. Good and well done. I enjoyed my stay.

Smells so clean! Loved the bedspread! Crispy perfect sheets and pillows! Front desk was so helpful and kind! great room… great price!

Loved the decor (colors, 'smart desk' with device hook-ups, bedding/drapery fabrics) ; the amenities; the staffs hospitality; nice civilized non-disruptive guests; and excellent sausage (low in sodium) & eggs & wheat bread toast. Breakfast could encompass a few more healthier selections though. Bananas apples were good. How about stewed apples, baked green tomatoes, broiled veggies, fried okra or other? Hated that hotel sprays insecticide poison during daytime versus nighttime hours while kids & adults are moving about. While people are eating in the open dining area located off the lobby where the poison odor wafted in. Elderly stroke-victim Mother was overcome with the poison and we later had to go to hospital emergency room wherein she received a thorough checkup before we could continue our trip. Yet personally I liked the hotel and I'm in agreement with other reviewers here.

Staff is great! Rooms have just been remodeled. The area is very nice and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Texas Roadhouse is walking distance along with a few others.

Nice decent place for the money. It is a little older and needs some minor tweaks. The rooms are large, clean and have a seating area. They offer more premium t. V. Station than even some larger chains. They do have an indoor pool and laundry. The breakfast is ok but could use more variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Room was clean when I left it. Got a cleaning charge on my bill for having a dirty room. I've heard other people saying how they are scamming their customers this way but didn't really. Believe it. It's true! stay away!

Nicely decorated but lacking in the details. Outlet covers and outlets are different colors, paint on flooring and trim work. The TV in our room and the breakfast room did not work. Fruit and breakfast was rotting in the bowl. Bed was comfy and hotel was quiet. Staff was friendly.

Loved the recent decor updates. Fresh new contemporary furnishings, flat screen TV's and high end linens. Beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. We felt the breakfast was a step up from the usual, with the inclusion of fresh cut fruit salad and quality coffee. Easy access to the highway, take out restaurants, a local bar and gas stations. Additional features include: free parking and free Wi-Fi. This will definitely be our hotel of choice when travelling to Indianapolis.

I stay at this particular Country Inn & Suites quite a bit, and I have always had nothing but a great experience. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very comfortable and the renovations they did to the hotels are awesome. They have always been very accommodating and I will always stay here when I'm in town. Thank you guys for everything, and ALWAYS getting me a room. See you soon!

Place itself was fair as far as hotels go, nothing elaborate but far from the worst also. I booked this place with points so it was free of charge. Upon checking my credit card statement a few days after my stay I had a charge of $33. I did not authorize the charge. It is being taken care of as we speak (refund) and when I spoke to the customer rep she said that the credit card I used for incidentals was "accidentally" used upon checkout. Seems like a very weird reason for a charge to appear. "upon checkout, " what does that mean? I am under suspicion that this charge was fraudulently charged to me by the hotel (someone at the hotel) in hopes I would not see it. Accidents happen, but this one was sketchy, buyer beware.

The hotel has been remodeled and it is VERY nice. The breakfast is included and is a large selection of both hot and cold food. The pool is nice and warm. The room was very clean and well decorated after the remodel. I will be back for sure.

Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The kids loved the pool and the free breakfast was not only a huge money saver, but tasty as well.

Newly renovated rooms and lobby. Very happy with our stay. The staff went above and beyond to help us. We've stayed here previously before they renovated and we're still happy.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. We have stayed here 2 years in a row when we have traveled to Indianapolis. This time you could tell they were under construction, not a big deal. Everything seemed to be put away and cleaned up. Our room on 3rd floor had already been remodeled. Loved the updates! We did end up finding a dirty sock tucked up under the bed skirt and a cigarette butt under the entertainment center in our room. Other than that our room was great! Breakfast on day 1 we had to wait for more hot food to be made because it was empty. Not a big deal. We waited. Day 2 breakfast again, no hot food. There was a couple people already waiting on food. No big deal, we will wait. At front desk I was told they were making more food. We waited just shy of an hour for food. During this time, breakfast ended. We were told "get what you want, breakfast is over. Eggs will be done soon " when he woman "Teresa" that was cooking came out I asked if eggs was the only thing she was bringing out. She said "yes eggs is all, breakfast is over it is 1030 " I replied with, I know but we have been waiting for over 30 minutes for food to come out. We waited another 25 minutes for scrambled eggs. Then we had aluminum foil in our eggs. What a waste of time. We also had to listen to terms complain the whole time because the eggs take too long to cook and she needed to get this cleaned up breakfast is over and she is still cooking.

We stayed here last year, and made sure we came back. Pool and breakfast weren't bad. Some rust and aesthetic issues through the building, but really not bad. Great value for the price.

I stayed at the location on southport it was not clean pool was nasty and very hot too much chlorine smell it all thur building I had to book at another location in greenfield indiana this location was great everything was perfect.

We booked a queen room with hot tub for one night. The staff was friendly. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed. Price was reasonable. Breakfast was free and basically a typical continental breakfast from any other hotel, so that was nothing special. Overall a good choice, especially since this was our first time staying at a Country Inn hotel.

Worst hotel I've stayed in. It was filthy and in bad shape. It was so bad I'm afraid to believe the reviews I see for other Country Inn & Suites.

It was well furnished and the service was wonderful.

Spent the night at this dirty hotel last night! Stains on the ceiling, dingy bed sheets, moldy smell in room, cobwebs and peeling wall paper in the shower with mold not to mention rusty door frames and the exterior door was not secure to the hotel so anyone could just stroll in at all hours. Don't think about staying here.

When we first checked in the 1st room had a shower that would not stop running, the jacuzzi tub looked like a hooker had been murdered in it, the floor and bed looked like my cot I stayed on in Iraq after a 3 day sand storm, smelled like a dump truck full of dirty ashtrays, and the topper of it all was the bloody booger on the wall. The second room was pretty much a mirror image of the 1st. This hotel reminded me of the movie Hills has Eyes…

My wife and I have never had issues with country inn and suites and love staying in them while on vacation. The staff was friendly and assisted us with check in. We are traveling with our 9 year old son and 6 week old daughter. Woke up at 3am to feed our daughter and low and behold bed bugs! Usually hotels leave a nice welcome bag in the room, this one leaves you the gift of bed bugs and the joy of trying to eradicate them from all of your personal belongings afterwards. Thanks country inn and suites.

Very dirty and smelled like smoke, rusty faucets in bathroom and hinges on bathroom door. Comforters were dirty with stains, pool was not open. Friendly service and good breakfast but would not recommend staying there, definitely needs to be updated and cleaned.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is near lots of restaurants, hotels, gas stations and shopping. The rooms are a bit outdated but, clean. The breakfast is good and the staff are nice. There is a fridge in each room and a microwave. The fans cause noise at night and make it hard to sleep.

Seman, blood, urine, pizza crusts, piles of ashes, soda/Marana sauce covering the walls, microwave looks like a frat house bathroom, and your staff has to let me into the room because of "lazy handles"… so glad I stopped for the night. Call me crazy. But room comp doesn't really seem like enough. I'm going to have fun speaking with the owner in the morning. To say the least.

This hotel was horrendous. When I first checked in there was not a TV in my room. I called downstairs and they said they would call me back. I waited 20 minutes and nothing. I called down again and they had me come downstairs. They moved me to 321 and I thought everything was ok. Then I looked down and a bed bug was on me and I saw a couple in the room. They would not do anything to help me change rooms or accommodate the other guest that was staying with me. I had to switch hotels at 10:00pm at night. Very frustrating!

Great hotel, great location.

When we arrived our jacuzzi room was unavailable. Broken they said. The did put us in a suite and discounted the price. They also moved us to a jacuzzi room the second night. The hotel is a little run down and needs some updates. Also the beds are horrible. My back is killing me after a sleepless night. Kids in the halls yelling until 2am. The staff was nice enough but I have to say when I booked at 125 a night I expected a lot more. Was worth the 65 a night I actually paid but not more.

If I knew the floor had just been shampooed it may have been more comfortable than my bed which is stiff as a rock. As I lay here at 6am in the morning I can hear all the plans the couple in the room next to us has for the day and they aren't yelling at all. The place is clean, staff so far friendly. But sleeping is awful and walls paper thin. My reservation also said nothing of a microwave or fridge in our room and we have both. Would have been nice to know when packing at home.

This was a very unpleasant experience. The entire hotel smelled terrible and they had water or mold issues because they had fans running on all the floors on one side of the hallway. There was no hot tub as pictured in the photos and the pool was taken down for maintenance while we were there. Wouls not recommend it to anyone.

Extraordinarily bad! I am told each hotel is an independent. Service is terrible. Do "Not" make a reservation on line. We have been charged for $400.00 Will never stay at a Country Inn again.

No hot tub and no plans to fix. Pool is working. Also great location. Tons of businesses from fast food to grocery store.

I stay in hotel for 7 night for business trip. This hotel is excellet. Breakfast been ready way early, room is clean and very comforted, service and staff very friendly and location is perfect too.

This was the absolutely WORST hotel I've EVER stayed in! Yuck! Our first room was so nasty that I couldn't stand the stench so we were moved to a different room. It was minimal at best but the only room they had left and it was too late in the evening to go elsewhere. We left our shoes on due to nasty carpet. The toilet would not flush and there was no hot water for shower. The location was the only good thing — good exit, lousy hotel. I emailed Country Inns but never received a reply. We stayed in July of 2010.
