Was not told upon check in that pool and hot tub were inoperable. Then we had no hot water on our 3rd morning. As we were attending a convention, we had a guaranteed room rate, but had to have our bill adjusted at check out to take off the additional $60.00 they charged…. The check in person AArti was more concerned with us leaving her personally a good review than actually doing her job. Check in took 20 minutes and thankfully check out was quicker but a group that needed their bill split 3 ways took 42 minutes to accomplish with a long line and only one front desk attendant who was trying her best. I feel the rate should have reflected the lack of pool facilities. We found out after check in that new owners had taken over since we had made our reservation. I expect this added to the confusion. To top it all off, after the first night stay, as we left with our group for an outing, we received a call that we had “left our belongings in the room when we checked out”! We needed to EXPLAIN that our reservation was for 3 nights, not one…

Unfortunately, my stay was ruined by bed bugs. I realize bed bugs happen in these sorts of places, but I didn't appreciate being told I must have brought them in (when I didn't have an issue until I stayed there). After they "investigated" they at least comped the room. Hopefully the room was also treated to kill any bugs as well, but something to be aware of. Always check your bed for bugs before staying at a hotel!

This is most definitely the BEST hotel experience we have had throughout all our years of travel ball. King suites are HUGE. The staff has all be exceptional. We drank and ate at the hotel bar/restaurant and everything was so good. Drinks were top notch. We won’t stay anywhere else on future trips to the Quad City area. Huge King Suites! Front desk workers are beyond amazing! They went out of their way to be accommodating. The food at the attached restaurant was delicious. Everyone loved their meals. The bartender was fun and friendly. The pool area is huge and clean. I will make this my go to place every time I visit the Quad Cities.

The absolute best hotel! Clean quiet large rooms. From the front desk to the hotel bar, to the breakfast! The staff and food is amazing! Same bartender and same breakfast person. That is what we love to see! You take care of your employees and they take care of us! This hotel never disappoints me!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was family friendly and the breakfast was great! I would definitely go here again!

What makes this Hotel is the amazing staff at the front desk, Izzi was super friendly and informative, along with the staff in the restaurant, the housekeepers and maintenance, the rooms are spacious, well thought out and spotlessly clean, we absolutely loved our stay and without hesitation, we would recommend it to anyone. Please have a meal in the restaurant, the bartender was super friendly and the waiting staff are professional, friendly and a delight not to mention the amazing food.

Where do I start?!? We had a house fire the day after Christmas. The Steeplegate took all of us (3 adults, three cats and a golden retriever) in, when no one else was willing. Staff checked on us daily, offered resources, and allowed us to clean our own room (the cats were terrified after the fire). The breakfast and restaurant staff, especially Tony, were amazing and treated us like family. A horrible experience made so much better by caring people. The restaurant was really good, and the staff was so friendly! The room was big and clean, if a bit old.

Review I want to start off by saying that staff were kind, caring and friendly. Which is about the only good thing I have to say about this Establishment. We were in town for a baseball tournament, which is very common for this hotel and area as the Bettplex is not far. We had planned a 3 night stay and only lasted 2. 100 west bar and grill Tony the bartender great service goes out of his way to make you have a good time makes you return for another visit.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. The bar tender is amazing as well as the other staff.

Wonderful Place to host a party or wedding! Our Son and New Daughter had their wedding here this weekend, the staff was wonderful and so helpful! It is a great place for the entire family!

We love our stay! breakfasts are great, restaurants are great, the bar was very nice. Good food, and Anthony (Tony) is an exceptional bar tender. We love the pool and hot tub (just wish it was a little hotter).

We held our wedding reception here. They were so accommodating and friendly. I dont have anything for them to improve on. We stayed here in the suite. I would HIGHLY recommend BW Plus Steeplegate Inn for your event.

This place is great. One of my favorite places I’ve ever been to. Rooms are nice, large and clean. Great atrium to swim with a hot tub, pool table and video games. Restaurant has really good food also.

The worst hotel staff I have ever experienced. I thought Iowa would have had nice staff. I was wrong. The staff kept accusing my children of throwing ice at customers when this was false and not true. They then continued to follow my children who were just having normal fun and playing hide and seek. Shame on the staff. I want a refund!

We had a great time here in January for an adult get away. Can’t wait to bring the kids back for a family night! One of our favorites! Clean rooms, accommodating staff and delicious food!

The hotel was nice, overall. The room was spacious, shower had great water pressure and I liked the small refrigerator and microwave in the room. The breakfast was good, but pretty much the same items offered each day. I enjoyed the cut up fresh fruit each day and the hot breakfast items. The food and service at the bar/lounge was awesome! I had a problem with the remote control, which was promptly addressed. The ice machine near my room did not work, and despite several calls over my long stay, it was not fixed. All in all, a good stay.

This hotel has been nicely updated. The rooms were spacious and warmly decorated. Easy access off the interstate (follow frontage road). The breakfast is in an attached restaurant that creates a nice dining experience instead of the crazy packed hotel breakfast room. The breakfast was one of the best we had in a hotel package. Food was hot and had some extra touches that made this breakfast stand out. Cherries and whip cream for the waffles and real scrambled eggs. Table service was glassware and silverware… not paper and plastic! Nice pool and hot tub in an atrium with lots of space. Pricing on this hotel was very reasonable. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Definitely a great choice.

We stayed here 15 years ago for our anniversary. It was just as nice today as it was 15 years ago! They keep up with decor and amenities. The staff greet you in the hallways and are very professional. There is an on-site restaurant, and they have a nice breakfast buffet. Will definitely be going back!

We stayed one night in a two queen bed room. The stay was great! Super comfy beds, kind staff. They even called after being in the room for about an hour just to ask if everything with the room was okay. The pool itself was great for a hotel room and the area it was in was a huge open high ceiling area. Almost gives you the illusion of being in an outside courtyard even though it's indoors. The free breakfast was great too. Hot eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, and then all the other little things you'd expect from a continental breakfast. Yogurt, cereal, orange juice, coffee… That kind of stuff. All things considered, they earned their 5 stars. This is a very nice hotel!

I stayed here last week and my stay was wonderful. The room was spacious even with 2 queen beds, entertainment center with fridge/microwave, and desk. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is a must have! My son and I made it a point to be awake for breakfast, and it sure didn't disappoint. The server in there was great! While getting our food, he asked me if I needed a high chair or booster seat. I was impressed that he had asked before I had to! Food was delicious and still tasted fresh, even though we arrived near the end of breakfast hours. My whole experience here was 5 star worthy!

The staff was extremely accommodating during our stay. We were part of a wedding and they went above and beyond to keep the event running smoothly and all guests happy. All around good form.

Best western steeplegate was a great place to stay. Next time we are in the quad cities, it will be our first choice and we will spend more time relaxing and the hotel. Looked like a really nice facility through and through.

The hotel is older, but well maintained. The bathroom was new and very nice. I have stayed at this facility many times and have always been satisfied with the experience.

We ended up having issues with our air conditioning and made a mini vacation out of it and went here. The staff is so polite and helpful. They even tell you hello in the hallways and ask if there is anything they can help us with. Of course they were more than accommodating, even with our two small dogs. I love this place is pet friendly! Thanks for all your help!

A little bit out of the way down a long frontage road but pretty cozy once you get settled. Nice, helpful staff and decent breakfast. Larger than average rooms and an indoor pool are nice.

Be forewarned that if you want a quiet, relaxing sleep, DO NOT settle for for one of the rooms surrounding the pool / common area. With kids screaming in the pool, drunk adults being loud, and a pool table all in a big, echoey room, the noise makes it impossible to sleep, even while wearing earplugs. Apparently "quiet hours" don't start until 11:00pm, which doesn't work for those of us who have to get up early.

My stay at Steeplegate Inn could not have been better. My room was very large, comfortable and secure. Every staff member I encountered was experienced, professional and very kind. They made my stay extraordinary!

Jacuzzi room was very nice! Huge room nice jacuzzi and the room was very clean. The king size bed was kind of hard. Nice pool and free breakfast was good also. We will definitely stay there again.

I stayed here for work an I think it may be the nicest place they ever put me up in. Super clean great friendly staff! We had dinner at 1 hundred west in the hotel and was very impressed. Will recommend to everyone!

Location was a bit off the interstate, but overall the hotel was nice. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. I did like the 2 sink areas in the room, since we were a party of 3. We had drinks in the restaurant/bar and the service was great. The bartender was wonderful.

This Best Western is a Very Clean, Quiet, and has a Professional Staff. While I was not thrilled by the breakfast choices, it still was a Great Breakfast. The Staff was very professional and helpful towards me as well to all of the people I observed in their interactions with. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

As always, a nice stay. We work in the area biweekly. So we're frequent guest. They accept BW reward room upgrades. Breakfast is great!

A wonderful hotel located just off the interstate. The rooms are comfy, the staff is friendly, and breakfast is hot and fresh. I've stayed at this hotel two different nights and both stays were excellent. One reason for returning is that the pool and hot tub are both warm and ready to dip into. This hotel is kid and pet friendly. The rooms I stayed in were very quite and extremely clean. This hotel is well worth its money. I will be coming back again soon. :) 5 Stars all the way! I visited the Steeplegate Inn to attend a social function. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive. There was plenty of space to mingle with other attendees and had a pleasant atmosphere. I'd definitely attend other events there.

One of my absolute favorite hotels. Very nice pool/tub area. Excellent for kids. Fitness room has plenty of options. Staff is extremely friendly and professional. The literal BEST free breakfast of any hotel in the country, not exaggerating. Hot tub suite is large, comfy, and very well kept. TV's in all rooms are high-quality. Excellent place for receptions. The decor and atmosphere is excellent. Coffee always kept fresh up front. A+++.

We stay at hotels often and this by far was the best. Pet friendly, hot breakfast and amazing staff. Hot tub, pool, game room. Great television. The only negative is that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you.

Loud music, beer bottles bouncing against our door, people running into our door. No care from the front desk. Avoid this place unless your too drunk to drive. That would be the only reason I would stay here.

The girl that checked me in was really nice. Enjoyed the hot tub and the pool. The only problem was I wanted to take a nap and maintenance was in the room next to me and the beating on the walls and all the noise was annoying for several hours. When I went to check out at 5:30am the lady at the desk was on a lengthy call making hotel reservations and I had to wait at least 10 minutes to get my to go bag. Otherwise fairly nice hotel and entrance of hotel smelled like cookies baking.

By far my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in! We had the king suite and it was well worth the $! Bed was super comfortable, room was clean and the jacuzzi was awesome! I was excited to see they had a pool table too. Hot buffet breakfast was really good too! The staff was incredibly kind and went out of their way to be helpful! I wish I had caught their names lol I think the only thing I can say that wasn't 5 stars was room service we ordered from the restaurant. They screwed up our order and both orders of fries were soggy but besides that we will definitely be back!

Great experience! Attended wedding rehearsal dinner-reception-morning gift opening for 2 night stay. Staff was all accommodating in everything we needed even with last minute additions. Guest room was pet friendly and really clean. Will return if need arises and recommend.

We go there about once a month for their fish fry, the fish (cod) is always really good and the dill sauce is excellent. The fries are always piping-hot and the wait staff is courteous as well. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because sometimes it takes a lot longer to get refills on the food. I understand if it takes longer when they are really busy but it's not always the case.

Nice people. Restaurant is good and wait staff is friendly. No elevator to other floors, however I understand one is being installed. Indoor pool and hot tub are clean and easy to find.

This will now be our hotel when we travel to see family back home. The lady at check in was exceptionally nice, the hotel was cleaner than most I've visited, the breakfast was so good both my kids ate (they tell me every day they don't eat breakfast… haha). I can't say enough how much we like this hotel. The pool area is very pretty, although we were at the hotel such a short stay we'll have to wait to use it next time. Definitely would recommend!

Good handicap ability. Clean rooms. Nice staff. We would stay again and recommend it to travelers. We booked based on reviews. Indoor pool was great. We did change rooms when we arrived to ensure we had handicap bars in the bathroom. We went from a king room to a queen. The bed seemed like a double. It was comfortable but small. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms were fine and very clean but the decor of the steeple gate in feels dated. We had a room with a king sized bed. The room was very spacious. Staff worked with us when we asked to have a different kind of room than the one we booked. They have a nice sized pool. I was there for a wedding and the size of the room for the ceremony was much too small. It is also located in the same room as the pool so it is very warm in there. However the reception area was much more spacious and accommodating. Both rooms seemed to be pretty bad for acoustics. The hotel was easy to find and had restaurants within driving distance. I would say their bar is worth visiting again. It is spacious, has several tv's including a large projection screen, and is separated into several seating areas. The atmosphere was great and the bartenders we talked to were friendly and really seemed to enjoy working there. Would visit again for drinks with friends and maybe a night in.

I really like this hotel, we were greeted with nice staff and complimentary snacks and drinks by the entrance. The pool is indoors and is actually operational. There are arcade games inside the pool room so I can destroy asteroids and feel like I'm in a sauna at the same time. Housekeeping promptly gives you a wake up knock at 8am just in case you forgot to order a wake up call from the front desk and they have power outlets near the top of the ceiling for those of us that are vertically inclined and don't want others messing with devices charging while hanging from the cord.

Pool was a great size and temp was good. Our 1 st room would only put out hot air even when a/c was on and set at 62 degrees (it was 85 degrees in our room), switched rooms to a unit that had working a/c. Then my son wanted to take a bath after swimming in the new room and it took ALL NIGHT for the tub to drain. The little interaction with staff we had was fine but I probably wouldnt stay at this particular hotel again. At least my son enjoyed his swimming time, that made the trip worth it.

We stopped in our way home. It was clean rooms. But there is no elevator, so don't stay at the second floor otherwise you have to carry your luggage up. The offer free breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Overall, we had a good overnight stay.

We stayed at the davenport best western, room was immaculate. We used the pool and the hot tub, very nice. The hot breakfast buffet was good as well.

Clean, spacious rooms — although the halls and rooms were very dated and could use some updates and improvements. Staff was very nice as well. Breakfast was disappointing, as they only put two tables in the dining room for everyone to use — needless to say most of us had to eat standing up. The breakfast itself was quite lackluster as well. We have been staying at many different Best Westerns over the past couple weeks, and this one was the most expensive to stay at, with the worst breakfast! Kinda bummed out.

I have been staying here on and off for five years. They have always had an excellent staff and kept the motel clean and up to date. The bar/restaurant has excellent food and nobody matches their breakfast. This is the only place I'll stay in Davenport.

Best fish fry on the region. Friday' and Saturday nights feature the fish fry. This place can crank it out. Amazing French Fries in a special seasoned salt. The fish can be fried or baked and it comes with a relish and bread tray. You will not be disappointed. My guess is they serve hundred this legendary fish fry ever week. Yum!

One of the cleanest hotels I've been in! Highly recommended staying. Especially if you have breathing problems, you'll be fine staying here. There was NO DUST, NO DIRT anywhere! The staff was superior.

We spent or family Christmas at the Steeplegate! The hotel staff, room, and amenities were great, the only thing we noticed is that we had a strange squeaky noise in the night. Possibly a squeaking roof vent. But the fun time we had made up for it!

Was a very nice room and good service. Did have some issues getting the front desk to answer their phone and tried to get extra pillows to my room being it was a king size bed with 4 small pillows and they apparently didnt have any more. The hotel wasnt even that busy so id say thats BS but other than that nice hotel.

Everything was satisfactory. Shower could use some updating and the night light built into the main light switch was pretty bright. Overall however, we were happy with our stay!

We stayed at the Steeplegate for a friend's wedding. Our room was wonderful — spacious, but with all the amenities we were looking for, and very clean and comfortable.

We went to the restaurant only. The food was good as was the service. Manager was attentive as well. All was good!

I stayed one night at this hotel and accidentally left my bathing suit hanging on the hook in the bathroom when I checked out. I put it there to dry after having taken a dip in the jacuzzi. I called immediately upon discovery the day after I left. I was first told that the cleaning staff had left for the day, so I was transferred to their VM. I left a message but never received a call back. I called again and same thing — no response. $40 bathing suit gone. I am not nearly as mad about losing the suit as I am at not receiving a response. Really unprofessional.

I have stayed at this location literally around 100 times (I traveled to Davenport a lot for work), and the staff was always very accomodating and kind. The rooms are a bit outdated but kept clean. The beds are comfortable.

Worst management staff I have ever delt with several people in our group were promised ground floor rooms and thry barley had rooms on the upper level for us. No elevators I would not recomend this hotel ever again and I will not stay here again.

My family usually stay at the steeplgate once a month when my husband as drill. The staff upon check in were very rude. When the soldiers tryed to check in half of them didnt have rooms and had to sleep 4-5 in one room with a king size bed. The wedding party next door didnt stop the party till 4 am and when we called the front desk they said they were working on the problem. We will probably look for another place next month.
