It says a lot when it was hard to leave the company at Lamberson House to go explore the town! Chris and Resa are such gracious hosts and great to spend time with. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Great views of the town and a quick walk to shops and restaurants. 10/10 recommend staying at the Lamberson House.
We had an absolutely amazing experience at the Lamberson Guest House. Our hosts, Stefanie and Jeff, were so wonderful and welcoming! They helped explain things and were easily reachable if we needed anything. This was our first b&b and after 1 night, we booked another stay at Lamberson for later this year! It's a beautiful home with wonderful amenities, and attention has been paid to every detail. From historic information and photos in the sitting area, coffee and tea aways available, along with fresh baked cookies and both filtered as well as bottled water. There's a refrigerator you can put your leftovers in too! We stayed in the Maud room. It's beautifully decorated and plenty of space for the 2 of us. We really enjoyed just sitting and relaxing in the room. One of the best features — the bed and linens. A truly amazing sleeping experience! On to breakfast… we weren't sure what to expect. There were 2 other couples that joined for breakfast each morning and it was so enjoyable! We were all first-time b&b-ers, and the mimosas were a nice ice-breaker! The dining room is absolutely beautiful. We had wonderful conversations about our plans for the day, the kids we left at home, and more. And while Stefanie swore she had no formal culinary training, every course that came out was beautiful and delicious! She was so helpful accommodating my wife's dietary allergies as well. She truly went above and beyond! The location is great as well.

Sometimes when you travel, you find a home away from home. Wonderful breakfasts, beautiful guest rooms, loving pets, wine and laughter on the colorful garden patio and Resa and Chris as our hosts made this feel like a visit with family. We will be back!
