Fabulous vintage hotel with all the modern conveniences and amenities one could wish for. Highly recommended!

They helped us throw an incredible event for our 35th Reunion — Robin was amazing and super helpful. We had 200 in the grand ballroom and everything went perfectly.

Great Hilton Experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We had our two dogs with us and they so accommodating. Our room was at the end of the hall which was nice and quite. Never heard anything from outside the room.

They said we had adjoining rooms and after flying from Switzerland they did not so now we are all split up! And worse they treated us poorly.

Extremely nice place. I would stay a million times if I could.

The room was totally decent, breakfast was yummy and there was plenty of it, but the highlight of the stay was the reception desk staff. Every single one of them was professional and kind to a very high standard! I was really impressed, and I'd stay there again just for that.

Stayed over night for a wedding. Had a great time! Room was clean and beds were comfortable! Staff were all helpful and attentive.

Great place for short or long term. The location is second to none and all the staff are so very friendly. Excellent service and reasonable costs.

Accommodating valet service and easy check-in/-out. Comfy beds and plush towels aka the champagne life. No continental breakfast but exorbitantly priced breakfast restaurants attached to either side of the the hotel lobby.

A very nice hotel — the rooms are big and very comfortable. My only issue was that the window could not be opened (to get some air). I did not check with the staff. The location is great, in downtown Evanston, with numerous restaurants nearby.

The hotel is right in the heart of Evanston, walking distance to Northwestern University. There are several restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Flat Top Grill. The rooms are pretty standard. The fridge is tiny, with no freezer area. There are not enough outlets in the room, but the biggest issue is the bathroom. It's very small, no fan,, nowhere to place your change of clothes if you shower. I've stayed there the times in the different rooms, and the issues are consistent with each room. Not a deal breaker, but definitely inconvenient.

Nice affordable hotel… it is near MANY restaurants, Lake Michigan beaches, NU, trains to downtown Chicago/Wrigley. Through refurbished several years ago, our rooms ceiling needed some paint repairs. Otherwise our weekend stay was great! Parking note. $30 a day on site or 3 blocks east is an indoor city garage for substantially less.

The room was very clean and it was very spacious, but honestly to the point that the room felt empty. Could definitely take advantage of the size of the room and spice it up aesthetically to be much more appealing for the price of a room. Service was great and friendly. Only complaint is that the bathroom was tiny, two of us had no chance of being in there at the same time.

The decorations were very nice and beautiful. The air in the room very nice and welcoming. Everything was amazingly great and awesome.

I came here for a brunch event. The catered food from the hotel was delicious and the staff were very nice. I would recommend this place for their catered events.

The hotel is cool. But it had a dusty room, no parking, chips in the tube, and housekeeping is lazy (didn't replace the sheet I had on the floor).

Staff was accommodating, location was easy to find. 23 dollars per night parking… 16 if hilton honors. Room accommodations exactly as defined on their site.

Went to the Orribgton Hotel for a fundraising event. Staff was courteous, and helpful. Space was beautiful, as the event spanned several rooms. Food was delicious, and servers were efficient and kind.

Great hotel and staff. Parking is very limited, so you will have to do valet. Comfortable beds and sheets as well as a good location in Evanston.

I was a guest from February 28 — March 2. Generally, my stay at the Orrington was not a good experience, since the hotel had issues with the water temperature. On the first morning, I had to take a cold shower and I notified the front desk. They said there was a problem and would be fixed that day. On the second morning, the water temperature was barely warm. When I was checking out, I spoke to the front desk person, Christine and she said they would reimburse me, but my room was paid by National Science Foundation since I was there for a national meeting at Northwestern University. She offered me a complimentary breakfast but that was not an option since I had a breakfast meeting at Northwestern. Christine said that the operations manager, Darryl Irby would do something to encourage me to stay a next time at the Orrington, since my stay was not a good experience. I sent him an email on March 3 with a detailed explanation and have not heard from him.

It's beautiful, historical, very well maintained. Valet parking is really really expensive and so is their breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff. Beds are comfortable and room was clean. I was attending a conference nearby two weeks ago. (Feb 2018).

I have attended an annual fundraising gala here for the last several years and it is always a great venue. The food was particularly excellent his year, with bacon-wrapped chicken and a wonderful apple-infused dessert. There was ample room for dancing, a silent auction and cocktail mingling area. I have never stayed here, but it's great for events.

I didn't interact with the staff when I visited for a professional event. That said, the hotel is gorgeous, spotless, and quite contemporary. The ballrooms are nice and spacious with quite high ceilings, considering the location. The Hilton Orrington a half block from the"downtown" area and is within walking distance of countless delicious restaurants.

Walls are to thin. Halls were way noisy last at night. Staff during the afternoon and evening were great. The morning staff was definitely a step below that standard. The valet staff and the bellman were the greatest and extremely helpful.

Very nice upscale property… no idea it was a Hilton. Great restaurants within walking distance. Super sushi and beer spots within walking distance too. What you will really love about it is the layout. Really cool.

Stayed there for work. No complaints. Hotel looks very nice. I'd say some of the amenities could updating but a good experience overall.

A very good friend of mine's son got married and not only had his reception there but provided a block of rooms for guests to stay in overnight. The amenities were wonderful and the staff exceptionally courteous and attentive. This is a "can't miss " hotel in the beautiful and historic suburb of Evanston.

I had been there as a proctor in the Grand Ball Room. Nice place, well lighted, open the screens and natural light enters. Can easily accommodate 1000 people.

Great service, used for business meetings. Very accommodating. Good to get a recap of the details as the staff could get detail lost in translation from the event manager there but banquet team and restaurant service very accommodating and attentive. Good AV attentiveness. Quick onsite response to any requests.

I had a room off the elevators on the 4th floor. Although it was a very busy weekend at the hotel, there were no late night disruptions and the room was very clean and well kept. It was modernized, but had touches of the historical moldings which added a nice touch. A very convenient spot and it was close to everything.

I love this hotel. Everyone is very friendly and courteous. Rooms are very clean and comfy. My husband thinks the bathroom is small but besides that we love it. Perfect location. I have a service animal and everyone is extremely hospitable.

This is a truly wonderful and civilized hotel with incredibly friendly and understanding staff. The facilities are all very well-maintained and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's located in the heart of downtown Evanston so everything is within walking distance. A shout out to the front desk supervisor, Michael B. He's as professional and wonderful as it gets!

This is a nice hotel in a great location, but the room we got was really really small. Like, it was comical that they even crammed a king size bed in there. I've stayed in tiny hotel rooms in NYC before, but this room was shaped on an angle, making it even tighter and more awkward to move around. The room had quality furnishings though and the staff was friendly.

I thought the hotel was supposed to be nice. But, in reality, it is mediocre. It isn't that clean. It hasn't been updated. Room service wasn't great. If you truly just want an "okay" place, this place is it.

I visited the hotel for a conference and found the staff to be attentive and helpful. The space was great for a conference. It was clean and kept cool which I appreciated. The hotel's catered meals were also well done.

The Hilton Orrington is a nice place with really nice rooms. Bed linens are soft and cozy but I thought the bathroom was really small with a huge walk in closet. If I could switch the closer and bathroom, it would have been perfect! Hotel is in close proximity to lots to do.

The Hilton is great. Half a block away from NU campus, and right in the thick of town, about 30-40 minutes outside Chicago. Our room wasn't ready but instead we were given an upgraded room upon arrival. If you use your phone in bed, bring an extension cord! There are only two outlets near the bed. Fitness center was great with a number of machines rather than just a dumbbell rack. Overall, very positive experience.

Nice stay had fun they couldn't find my name in the system clothes was still in the drawer because it was New Years Eve the bar closed at 11 and as I was going to sit the bar tender rudely says didn't I say we not serving there was tons of white people sitting we was the only blacks so I felt disrespected would I stay again probably cause it's five minutes from home but there employees needs to treat everybody whites blacks or whatever their race is with respect ✊

Comfortable beds and beautiful rooms but some of the doorstaff didn't seem entirely professional. I had a great view in the upper floors. The AC is quite loud but they provide you with earplugs (of which my room only had 1 pair, but two beds).

I was very impressed with the rooms and the facilities. The people were very nice and accommodating. The only thing that disappointed me was that the pool was closed during our 2 night stay.

Have been here several times for dinner and work events. Catered food at the large events was decent, nothing to remarkable but well executed for the type of event. Staff was attentive and efficient. The inside of the hotel is nice and updated, probably one of the nicest hotels in Evanston, although I've never stayed in a room there.

Had our dogs with us and everyone was so nice to them. Only complaint was that they need some grass!

We have stayed here many times. The staff, cleanliness of rooms, and local amenities are fabulous. I would have given this hotel a 5 star rating, but the bathrooms are so small that it makes it hard to get ready… No place to set anything down, such as curling iron, cosmetic bag, etc. But still our go to place.

Clean and modern. Staff is friendly. Would have gotten 5 stars, but parking is terrible. $23 for valet is worth it. Nice area with lots of restaurants surrounding. Too far from the lake for a nice view.

Food/snacks provided for meeting were good. Meeting room has fantastic acoustics.

Rooms are not very large, but comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is just by downtown Evanston, and just under an hour out of downtown Chicago by train.

Loud water gushing noises in 608. Switched to 628; quieter, but took many swipes for door lock to read card.

My husband and I were guests at the hotel for 3 nights. My husband is 82 years old and I am 79 years old. We we checked in we asked the desk clerk to arrange to allow us the senior discount as is advertised on your website. She told me we could not have the discount as we had prepaid for our rooms through an outside agent. The desk clerk also told us that if we paid for our rooms at the desk when we checked in she could make an adjustment. When we were checking out a parking charge was added to our credit card bill. Since this was a charge made at the hotel we assumed she could make the adjustment allowing an AARP discount by removing the parking charge from our credit card charge She refused to help us.

Liking it so far room is a little small, but the valet is fantastic and the view is very nice. The decor is a little dated, but staff is friendly, and fantastic location.

When I left, my friend who checked out later was told there's parking fee. While neither of us drove and parked, it was obviously a mistake, but they still asked for the money and my friend thought I might parked. Afterwards, it was most tedious and troublesome to contact the hotel to get the money back.

Stayed in a room facing east. Everything was clean and sanitary and the room service was great. All the staff are nice and polite as well. Great experience overall!
