Nice, hotel. Good, rate. Nice, amenities… quite always from downtown Chicago though.

Horrible experience here. The staff and manager are part of a robbery crew and Rob the guests. We witnessed the night shift engineer with two women in the crowd of our event that were not invited guests. When they left so did money, purses and a phone. But the manager Adolph and the Marriott group buried that even hiding information from the police. I have been a LOYAL Marriott user and customer for years and have never been treated with such disregard or personal understanding ever in my life. So be wary and be warned this is a 1 star hotel in a sheepskin costume and under a great name that this hotel and management tarnishes.

I did makeup for a 3 day event and loved the rooms, amenities and employees very helpful.

I have had the displeasure of staying at this hotel three times — but never again. Very strange layout, restaurant food and service terrible, outdated decor in the rooms, rooms were not clean. Overall a one star facility.

No complaints with the stay other than the room is super small but what I do have a problem with is how unconcerned, unapologetic, and inattentive Lynzie York and the housekeeping staff responded to my items being left in the room when I checked out. Still upset and shooken up because one of the items in particular was a one piece black netted swimsuit that was my deceased sister’s and it was the only piece of article that survived the fire she was killed in.
However, my son’s swim trunks that was literally hanging over the shower door along side my swimsuit was found. I called several times to speak with someone in charge, emailed and left vm’s. When Lynzie finally called, her concern and care was nonchalant and unprofessional. She told me housekeeping manager said maybe I left my swimsuit in the pool area as if I walked out the pool area exposed. Insulting response right?!
I am very disappointed they stand behind their staff knowing if some of items were retrieved in the room but not all, It’s CLEARLY THEFT.

The rooms are clean and quiet your average Marriott. However, they have an above average Breakfast Buffet with made to order Omelettes. Can be a bit pricey.

First room we had the bed was terrible. Mattress was not comfortable at all. I went to desk and expressed my concerns. I was given another room which worked for perfectly! 2nd room the bed was very comfortable. Staff very friendly and location is great!

Really disappointing stay. First we were overcharged at the “Starbucks” in the lobby. The manager on duty said he would fix it but never did. Then we were placed on the “executive floor” where the hallways were still dirty from the night before (littered with trash) and our sheets had a stain on them. The hotel is not well-maintained and needs much better upkeep and staff training. Only giving a second star because the place is relatively inexpensive!

There is some renovation going on in this hotel. The interior of the hotel is extremely dated. I found a hallways cluttered with junk that room service should have taken away. The road going by the hotel is Fast and the entrance comes up quick so be alert if this is your first time visiting the hotel With the negative being said the rules have an exceptionally high level of comfort perhaps the best in the Chicagoland area the beds are super comfortable the rooms are well-lit I love that plenty of outlets to even better. I'll have to say the front death staff is Keen and extremely knowledgeable perhaps some of the brightest Minds in the Chicago hotel industry.

A friendly staff and the best Concierge lounge I experienced. The pretty lady who manages that lounge is the best. Disappointed with front desk tho, always staffed with one employee who is always busy. Small bathroom, which I don't like at all. But I would definitely book again.

Great hotel for the price but very busy, I stayed during the week and it's a very popular business hotel. The room was extremely clean but lacked a bathtub and a few other things such as a microwave and small amenities such as q-tips and other minor things. The indoor and outdoor pools we're very nice and clean, although the outdoor one was a little buggy when I stayed there which is to be expected in this season, it was also very quiet and empty as opposed to most hotel pools but I'm sure on weekends it would be busier. The bar in the hotel closes pretty early but has nice staff otherwise, however the drinks are very expensive even by Chicago standards, I ended up paying around $19 for two Jack and cokes, but I suppose that is due to the convenience factor. The Starbucks coffee booth inside was hit and miss, my first experience was nice, but on my way out I got a few coffees and the barista was extremely unpleasant. Overall the hotel is very nice, I would definitely recommend getting drinks and food elsewhere as I would at most any hotel, it's in a great location and isn't too far from downtown and other interesting locations.

Everything about this place is great except for 2 things: 1, the TVs do NOT have an HDMI port… and there are no rooms that do. 2, The concierge lounge has hours posted and will NOT let you in after hours… which stinks if you just want a water, soda, or late snack.

Had a nice weekend planned with my sweetheart, and the room was clean & quiet despite some soccer tounement nearby. Pool was busy & noisy!, but otherwise the rest of our stay was enjoyable. Room service was great too.

One of the worst experiences me and my husband have ever had at a Marriott. A hotel person (never identified himself) came to our door with a security guard saying we were to loud. We were not to loud. My husband was in bed and he sat up and the hotel person said you are drunk and my husband yes I am and that is why we were staying at the hotel. The hotel person said he was going to call the police and my husband said go right ahead. What is going on here? We had no music blasting or anything like that. Totally unwarranted. Me and my husband who have been Marriott customers for years and will no longer support their business.

Ok location. Check-in was quick and friendly. Room was clean. Bathroom small, but shower was good. Thin walls resulted in a 1am wake to the couple next door, well… enjoying themselves and then uncontrolled small children banging doors in morn and constantly knocking on parents door. Okay stay, but will not return. Will seek better, quieter location. Ask for room opposite of interstate if you do stay.

The staff was very helpful. I requested a room change because the highway side of the hotel was very loud. They were terrific and even moved my bag to the new room.

Ultimate resting and mental clarity facility quite Zen. Hospitable staff, extremely immaculate with Asian flair! Not so conveniently priced Convenience store for families with children in tow, bar and grille on main floor, buffet breakfast or in room dining available, indoor and outdoor pools, exercise/weight room, concierge, handicap accessible. Go visit I did!

Rooms are clean and nicely setup. Beds are soft. I had a room in the basement (first floor) that did not have much of a view. No breakfast.

Older, but very well maintained. Linens looked and smelled fresh instead of just refolded like other hotels. Above average toiletries. Bar is "selective" with their service, but that's Chicago right? Update: one star removed. My first experience was a unicorn. Still an ok place, but consistency appears to be an issue.

Clean rooms and the free shuttle (within 5 miles) is great. It didn't bother me, but the hotel staff is very accommodating if the interstate noises bother you. Multiple coworkers had their room changed without any problem.

Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Staff was super friendly. Pool area was nice. Didn’t use restaurant or bar area. Starbucks was just as you would expect.

Nicely appointed hotel. Rooms are good size. 14 floors, many conference rooms, indoor and outdoor pool. A number of on site restaurants and bars. There is even a frozen stream behind the hotel. I am sure the boys in our group will try and skate on it.

I went to eat, the bartender was very good people.

This is an old hotel with many problems. Not rhe least of which is the old television that doesn't have an HDMI jack. There are only 2 electrical outlets near the 2 beds (not even queen, full size) and that is only after you unplug the alarm clock. I went to the front desk to see if we could get a power bar or a surge protector. I was told they would check with engineering. After waiting a few minutes they told me they would call me. They never did. The bathroom is old and beat up. The gym equipment is also old and beat up. Truth is the only good thing I have to say about this hotel is the front staff was friendly and the French fries were good.

The room was very comfortable and having the concierge was a wonderful experience. We were given meal passes for breakfast daily, and while I don't want to complain about a free meal, I wasn't impressed with the food. The pool was spectacular! Hotel is always clean and beautiful. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Attended a work holiday party here. The food was above average and all of the employees were very helpful. I however did not stay the night here as I was local.

Attended the Days of the Dead convention and stayed 11/16 thru 11/19. The good… The hotel is clean. And the staff and bartenders are friendly. Food ordered at the bar was very good. The not so good… Ice machines on multiple floors had no ice. Soda machines were not working. The hotel bar was woefully understaffed for second year in a row. Full bar and lobby. Two bartenders. Lines were 10 people deep at times, and waited for a drink for a half hour multiple times while sitting at the bar because of this. The restaurant was understaffed. No omelet bar on the weekends. The buffet was alright, but breakfast potatoes and eggs were dry. The hot tub was more like a luke warm tub. Ice cold in the pool area. Turn on the heat!

The Chicago Marriott Schaumburg is very nice. The front desk personnel was very helpful upon check-in. The room was clean and comfortable. I ordered room service, the food was delicious and delivered at the expected time.

Clean, recently renovated rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We used the hotel shuttle to go out to dinner and return. The shuttle driver was very pleasant and happy to drive us out. Overall very pleased with the hotel.

Surprised that there are not refrigerators in the rooms but that they are available on request. Other than that a very clean and comfortable hotel! I absolutely love the hot tub! A design that I have not seen yet with an island in the middle.

Lobby is clean and inviting. Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating, especially Dreya. I requested for a crib for my room and it wasn't ready or set up. When I called for the crib, they sent it up right away. Room was a double. Kind of small with a crib. Bathroom felt a little cramped, especially with the door open. Otherwise, bed was comfy.

Like most all hotel rooms, this one has all of the usual amenities, so it's always good to talk about what was exceptional. First off the staff was super charming, and they had a bunch of fresh juice blends on offer up front. They were very appreciative that I didn't call the green juice Pond scum or algae and instead was just very excited to drink something tasty. The bathroom water pressure is excellent, and, although I'm not a huge fan of stall showers, it was very well fixtured and built, no mold and plenty of places to stash washcloths or soaps. There's also a variety of firmnesses of pillows, which is always something I really appreciate since I'm a back sleeper.

This is a premier Marriott property. I stay at Marriotts 40 weeks out of the year, and this one is impressive. It's a beautiful hotel, very modern. Close to highways, shopping, etc. But it's the staff here that makes the place shine. Polite, enthusiastic, eager to please. They truly made this hotel guest feel welcome and they earn every one of my 5 stars.

Great location! There are plenty of restaurants and and shops nearby to fill any free time you may have. The rooms and lobby are very nice, with great decor. The service is phenomenal, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Great experience!

This hotel was wonderful and very affordable! The service was great and the staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. The location is nice and away from a lot of traffic but close enough to shops and food which is very convenient.

The rooms were clean and nice. Shower pressure left something to be desired. They did a poor job with food for our event — — — they ran out and I had to go to the kitchen to request more as an attendee. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Phone service there is terrible, although that's not their fault.

Our room is big, we have tons of pillows, we Do Not have a fridge or a microwave. Which would have come in handy having leftover food. Especially since our room cost us over $100 per night. The very least you could do was have a fridge. We stayed at the Marriott San Juan and it was a lot nicer, better bar, friendly staff. I might only be a fiancé, but the desk staff could treat me like I matter. I was treated like I didn't exist.

Beds were very comfortable. That was about all that was good with hotel. Says has a tub/shower combo — just a tiny shower. Ordered room service for breakfast — 3 out 4 of our meals were wrong — didn't even offer to discount the outrageously expensive bill for the food! Tried to check in at 3pm — told our room wasn't ready — as were lots of other people's as well! After complaining, suddenly a room opened up!

Service is great, little in room amenities though make staying here for personal travel unwelcome. No in room fridge or microwave. You have to pay for Wi-Fi. Most modern hotels include these services.

If I have the option I will probably not stay here again. The only perk was it was walking distance to my current work location. Arrived the first night, they assigned me to a double queen room when I specifically asked for a king bed. They also said that my reservation was for only a night when it was for 2 weeks. Their hotel staff are rude and come off like you are bothering them. Loud hotel especially on the weekends. Front desk staff is sub par. I asked if they will charge me for long distance when calling a 773 area code, the guy basically said it is not a Chicago area code… I'm assuming he is not from the area at all. Next time I will probably opt to staying in another hotel.

Arrived late and had some issues with the room assignment. Took a little to fix, but Jonathan, the manager on duty at the time, took care of it. While mistakes happen, it is how they are responded to that matters. Jonathan more than made the situation right and I will absolutely be staying here again. Rooms are typical Marriott rooms. They aren't huge, but very clean and comfortable. Ate in the bar when I arrived and the meal was fresh and hot, even though it was 11:45pm.

Met some co-workers for drinks after work. Nice bar, quiet with a nice bartender.

The Chicago Marriott Schaumburg is one of my favorite places to stay in the Chicago area. Comfortable and clean beds, nice bathrooms, and a great breakfast buffet make it a great place that's also located in a good place in Schaumburg near a major mall.

Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Everyone from the front desk to the shuttle drivers is amazing. Nice bar as well.

If you are planning a wedding =, stay away from this place. Stay away from Marriott in general. Had my wedding reception held in this location. It was all planned smoothly until the catering manager quit and I had to deal with new manager few weeks before my wedding. Let just say that everything went downhill from there, it was an added stress. Lot of things that was suppose to b done and assured by previous manager were not honored by the new manager, end up paying more than what were suppose to. NO points were added to my reward card, called customer service and was put on hold for an hour, someone answered and put me back on hold I end up just hanging up without speaking the issue. That tells you how bad the customer service for this company.

Had wedding and reception here. Food was good, but staff was not readily responsive to requests. They provided a broken piano, the tent floor was dirty, and my final bill did not include promised comped room, and we were charged for an extra night on a room not needed. Would not recommend this facility.

Very nice room, bed, and bathroom. Everything you expect from a nice Marriott. My ONLY complain is that the TVs desperately need to be updated. Plugging in an HDMI pits the TV in PIP, not full-screen and the sounds from cable still plays.

This place needs to be remodeled. The bathroom is so small you can't even brush your teeth without bumping into the toilet or door. The bed is a queen sized bed even though the front desk insists that one bed in the room means it is a king sized bed. Sorry but a king sized bed is at least 6 feet wide and this one is only 5 foot. Yes I measured. Btw… I'm a platinum member and have achieved lifetime status. Which means I have stayed at a lot of Marriotts. This is definitely at the bottom. I suggest staying at the Courtyard. It's much better and cleaner.

I am a huge marriott fan but this hotel down not meet the usual standards. The road noise from the highway is a big problem so I asked to be on the back side of the hotel. I have to stay here regularly and each time they assure me It will be fixed next time. I have to insist on moving and wait while they figure out what room I will get. I do not get the refrigerator I requested because they have to move me. Last stay after being in bed for an hour with my do not disturb out housekeeping started knocking and calling to try and move a refrigerator into my room. I have sent emails to their general manager Richard Hulse in response to his requests for feedback but alas he has taken no action and the same issues occur over and over. I am now going to have to find a new regular stay in this area.

Property is need of updating. Lots of highway noise and many rooms have adjoining doors that barely keep sound separated. For this price seek out something better in the area.

Worst experience ever! My company had paid for my room and tax, this was verified by the rep when I checked in; when I checked out however, they charged all to my card. I called and they said a manager would call me to fix it, many hours later and no call, I called again and the lady said the manager was reviewing and working on the issue and I would get a call back in minutes, two hours later and nothing. I called again, the lady now said that she could clearly see the mistake, my card was entered for incidentals and it was notated, yet they still charged me for everything. Now she was saying no manager was working on my issue and there was nothing they could do until Monday because accounting was not in and that I had to call them Monday. They took no responsibility, I still have to call them to fix the issue! My second to last night there I also placed room service, hour and a half later I called down to check on the order and they said they forgot to place it. This is terrible. I've never been to a hotel where no one is doing what they say they will and where customers have to keep checking back to make sure things are getting done. So sad.

Wouldn't recommend staying here. We stayed for one night while passing through the area, and were disappointed overall. They didn't have a complimentary breakfast, but that's somewhat forgivable. A $10 charge if you want Wi-Fi, however, is just ridiculous. This is now a standard amenity almost everywhere. The room itself was small but clean. Fairly modern and looked fine, but the shower tiling had a large crack (repaired) and a constant drip. Everywhere (halls, pools, lobby) seemed to have a lot of guests. Front desk was hard to reach several times when we called down for info. I should've gone elsewhere for the price.

As a platinum member of Marriott, I'm highly disappointed by the level of service in this hotel. It's really the little things, like the treadmills in the gym facing a wall, with half of them not having TV's that work. (Do you know how long that makes 3 miles feel? ) Also — in the concierge lounge, they keep the wine/beer behind a locked door, instead of relying on the honor system for guests to fill out cards. Because they only have one attendant, this often means a line queues just to get a beer as the attendant is fetching more stock from downstairs. Really? How much could you actually be losing from your gold and platinum members taking wine and beer? Overall — a disappointing experience. The Renaissance around the corner gives you a superbly better experience for about the same price.

I have stayed here twice now and both times have been excellent. The rooms are very clean and the staff is wonderful (friendly and attentive). The location is nice and it's only 15 minutes walking distance from several restaurants. The front desk night staff is very accommodating.
