Great hotel. Close to 94, Vernon Hills, business parks nearby, etc.
friendly staff, great hotel bar/grill, clean rooms, awesome clean pool, couldn’t ask for a more regular and comfortable stay. Nothing over the top, this is exactly what you need.

Hotel was immaculate. Every aspect was clean and well managed. Hotel room was clean and tidy. Any request I had was immediately responded and completed to the best of their ability. Only negative that I had was that there was no continental breakfast. You had 2 options on breakfast. First option was 5.95 for a simple breakfast (toast, cereal, fruit and yogurt) Second option was continental breakfast for 12.95 which was very good. (Eggs to order, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns and the other breakfast foods included)

Overall the hotel stay was fine. The staff pleasant. From my room you could hear the cars from the highway.

Staying here as pasrt of a business trip. Room was nice and clean. They have good amenities with a pool, bat, and restaurant. My only complaint is having to pay for the "cold buffet. " At this point, it seems to be more industry standard that this would be complimentary.

Great hotel. Everyone has always had a smile, and has been extremely friendly. I love Mike the day shuttle driver, and Eric in the evening has been so nice and respectful too. Just a great helpful, friendly place to stay. Thank you!

All the staff I interacted with were incredibly friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable and quiet. The gym was clean and had complimentary headphones for those that needed them. The shuttle service to and from the nearby business I had a class at was an added bonus. The morning buffet, while not free, was well prepared with a good selection for the health conscious and the less attentive.

Great place to stay. Modern cheerful, great front desk people. Rooms are modern, bright, clean, and comfortable climate control. High standard hotel well worth the fair price. The name Hilton tells it all.

Excellent all around service, cleanliness, great team of people making our stay very enjoyable. My wife's family lives in the area. We visit at least once a year so now HGI Lake Forest will always be our home away from home. Thank you all, very impressed and truly enjoyed our stay. See you in Nov.

I stayed here for the weekend of 5/11 — 5/13 to attend a graduation. My stay here was a very pleasant and memorable experience. Beginning with the bellman at our arrival, he was very friendly & offered to take our luggage to our room. At first I refused but he was persistent so I relented. When we got to the room I offered him a tip but he refused to accept it & said that that was his policy. He just liked being hospitable. This experience was unique & it was a first for me. Then there was the front desk staff all of whom were very friendly welcoming and accommodating. My sister planned to give a luncheon using the savannah room following the graduation. The gentleman who was our host (his name escapes me now) was so gracious and most accommodating. The catered meal was well done and presented beautifully. The food was also very tasty. The breakfast that’s served daily for a fixed price was well worth it, however there was not enough seating available for guests & if you ordered a special item such as French toast which we did it took a little long to be delivered. Excluding this incident my stay was amazing. The fresh tea, coffee & hot chocolate which was available in the lobby daily during my stay was a special touch, not to mention the freshly baked cookies. The hotel rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable as well as adjustable. I would definitely recommend this hotel & I would most certainly stay there again if the opportunity presented itself.

My job had some staff members to stay here n it was wonderful the rooms were nice in the hot breakfast was very good in the staff was very friendly thanks Amanda for booking me a very nice hotel loved it.

Jeff (the GM) made our experience at his hotel one of the best ever! My family was in town for my sons graduation and we are a handful to say the least. Jeff and him team went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. My daughter has 3 more years of school nearby and we will always choose this hotel because of the unbelievable service! Thanks Jeff!

The whole experience was wonderful. From the cheerful greeting of Alyssa at the front desk, to the attentiveness of our server Cinece, to the amazing food prepared by the chef. I don't know if they were, but the buns tasted homemade and the kids meal was a decent size. Very welcoming atmosphere as delicious food. We will be back.

Nicest Hilton Garden Inn I have seen. FB staff was outstanding. Desk staff was helpful but made a point of telling me how helpful they are being. I can't stand that. Either do it or don't do it but don't let me know how inconvenient it is to you.

I was here for a business meeting. The staff was courteous and the location is very convenient off of the expressway. I can’t say about room service as I haven’t stayed here yet but my company does use this location to house guests so it must not be that bad.

Lou the manager is very accommodating. His staff is very friendly. The hotel is very clean. Overall way above average experience!

Keeping up with technology… The digital key is functional and particularly useful if one is as forgetful as am I. It uses the Hilton app, your location and/or possibly Bluetooth (as I believe I read on their site) to sense your proximity to the door. Tap to unlock, wait a few seconds, and your door unlocks without the need to dig through your wallet while trying not to drop your phone. The hotel is… Well, it's a hotel. Nothing spectacular but clean and inviting.

The overall experience was very good. However, as someone with a disability there are some challenges that they could address but havent. For example, the doors to the rooms are extremely heavy and trying to get into the room in a wheelchair and with a bag is an issue. Adding some sort of door assist wiuld be useful.

Place was well located off the highway. Modern lobby with 24/7 coffee/tea bar. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bed had a knob to adjust firmness like a sleep-number. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again.

We had a wonderful stay while our son graduated boot camp. The people make this place a real gem. All employees were just great to us. Thank you so much for the early check-in too.

Very nice and clean rooms. Staff helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was good with several items cooked to order. Would stay here again.

Fine for a business hotel. Rooms are basic but comfortable and well sized. Decent mattress and pillows and good shower. Limited bar and menu, but attentive service and handy shuttle service to local businesses. Beware of the noise if you get a highway-facing room.

A nice place to camp out for a while. The rooms are great and the staff if very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is first class and the small bar after work is a nice plus. I just wish the breakfast was included. That would make it perfect.

Everything was good for the most part, but traffic from the highway was pretty loud at times. Bathroom layout wasn't ideal. Had to stand under faucet to turn on, so you're stuck in cold water until the temp is adjusted. When the shower door opens, all of the water drips onto the bathroom floor. The lobby was very impressive though and the front desk was always friendly and helpful.

We always stay at Hilton Garden Inns when we can and have always had a good stay. This time was different and disappointing. We booked a room from Thursday til Mon for my son's graduation from Navy boot camp and looked forward to our stay here. Overall the hotel is nice but there were a few problems. They need to do away with the Sleep Number beds they do not work correctly and I'm not the only one that noticed it I heard complaints at the front desk concerning these beds. When we can back to the hotel on Saturday night from dropping my son back at base there was a cocktail party going on in the library. While I do not have a problem with people having a few drinks I do have a problem with having to wade through a bunch of drunks just to get back to my room. One woman was so intoxicated that she fell down and cracked her head on the fireplace. There was blood all over the carpet. I understand that the hotel cannot control how people behave but perhaps they should put in a separate bar area, rather than having the lobby serve as one. I'm glad I did not have any small children with me. One last item of disappointment, when room service cleaned our room they left us with only one towel. All others had been removed. My daughter had to go back down to the cocktail party/front desk to get them.

We're really impressed with Mettawa, Hilton Garden. As a diamond member of Hilton HHonors with over thirty stays per year it is easy to tell which Hilton Garden Inn location makes the grade. This Hilton Garden Inn gets an A for performing as one expects of a Hilton brand hotel. Welcoming, spacious and hot fresh decaf coffee in the afternoon and evening. Believe it or not, most Hilton brands fail at the hot and decaf. Coffee offering at these times. For us, this hotel is very clean with friendly staff and premium dish television programming. Well done Mettawa Hilton Garden Staff! The only suggestion would be a cleaner window but it did rain today and this is just being picky on our part.

Rooms are nice and the staff has been pleasant! Some amenities include: indoor pool, bar, outdoor patio, Wi-Fi and dry cleaning.

Our family stayed here for Navy graduation weekend. The front desk staff, Ron Rivera and Avery, were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Other staff was equally as kind to us. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent guest services. Very clean rooms with adjust fit beds. The bathroom has a smaller profile, however it has a walk-in shower with glass enclosure. A couple of breakfast options and pricing. Large siiting area. Only 8 minutes from Lake Forest Northwestern Hospital.

Stayed for a quilt retreat. Great rooms, good in house restaurant, excellent desk personnel. Huge meeting room with natural light — full windows on three sides.

My son graduated from Great Lakes. This hotel is a convenient 7ish mile from the base. The room was clean and a comfortable size (2 queen beds). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a bar and grill in the lobby area and a hot breakfast, lunch and dinner available right there. There is an indoor pool, whirlpool and gym. I was very pleased with the hotel and recommended it to my brother, who will be going to see his daughter graduate from Great Lakes in a couple months. Great place to stay.

First time here. Very clean and friendly people. The place is 30 minutes or less from chicago and near everything elese. Big postive.
