I've heard the horror stories but have NEVER stayed at a hotel with bed bugs until now. The itching woke me up out of my sleep. I made myself turn the flashlight to my camera on after convincing myself it wasn't just paranoia and saw a tiny something in the bed. (Thank God all of the linen is white or I wouldn't have seen it. ) I grabbed my purse and poured hand sanitizer on it. But it must have already been dead. I took a photo and sure enough, after zooming in, it was a bed bug. I grabbed my shoes, turned on all of the lights and caught 2 more alive on the bed. I woke my daughter up in the next bed. I thought she hadn't been bitten. The night auditor (who was extremely nice, even long before this complaint) moved us to an entirely new building. I was still totally paranoid but couldn't spend another $200 on a room and it was 4am. I also didn't want to carry bugs anywhere just in case they'd gotten in my things. My daughter and I scoured the room well past 6am. We slept until about 9 and called the front desk asking if they could atleast put our things in a hot dryer to be safe, after explaining the previous nights events. I was told the location and price of their public driers. I've been bit by bed bugs at your hotel and all I've asked for is a dryer so that I don't carry your friends with me and I'm met with apathy and not so much as an apology. And you think I should spend money at your dryer? I guess being calm about an extreme situation doesn't pay off. Though I haven't gotten bitten in the new room, the photo of the pillow shows evidence somethings been in here. Contacting the site I booked through and looking for a refund and to be placed elsewhere tonight. I wish I'd seen the June reviews from here about bedbugs!
