Great Service and Place to stay.

Beautiful hotel! Provides a Walkway to the convention center! A big gym and spots to eat! My room was spacious and immaculate.

Hotel room was dirty. Housekeeping just made the bed, using the same sheets from previous occupancy. The sheets were dirty and smelled. The bathroom shower and area was not cleaned, hair and trash was on the floor. Carpets were also not vacuumed. Manager Matt Brock was called to the room and stated that he was also dissatisfied with the lack of cleanliness of our room. Hotel was also overbooked, we booked several months in advance and did not receive the room that we paid for. Matt Brock was rude, unhelpful and condescending! He did not assist or attempt to resolve any of these issues. He stated that the hotel staff was busy and overbooked, therefore unable to assist us. He also stated that he couldn’t transfer us to another room because our luggage, even though unpacked, was present and hotel policy did not allow him to assist us because of that. So we paid $$$$ for a dirty room, horrible quality of service and wrong room (our original room cost more). We stayed at this hotel for our daughters EYBL tournament, which was a stay and play event. This hotel, and it’s management took advantage of our situation because of the stay and play and lack of availability from other hotels due to “WNBA All Star”, “Taste of Chicago”, and other events. We have stayed at other Hyatt locations with zero problems and were satisfied. We just don’t recommend this one.

We were upgraded to a city view room and it was quite the view. The front desk agent was friendly and gave us great tips on where to eat for dinner. Our room was so spacious and comfortable! I would give the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place a A+ and would highly recommend it to anyone I know.

The staff was excellent. Very attentive and helpful. The rooms were nice as well.

The only complaint I had was that the vending machine for drinks was sold out of almost everything and wouldn’t take my dollar bills. Otherwise, beautiful building, offers a lot of amenities inside (fedex, large market place, computers, etc. ).

Extremely small rooms. Very old. No “view”. With a 4+ star rating this is absolutely not what we expected when we booked the room. There is a terrible odor to the room. My girlfriend has no room whatsoever to move with her wheelchair. Nothing is open for accommodations. We requested an upgrade and we’re told for an additional $30 plus tax, we could be moved to a room of the same layout, just 2-4 floors higher, with partial view of Lake Michigan. This is NOT what we were looking for. Extremely disappointed in this booking.

My significant other and I decided we needed a change of scenery from being in the house and decided to give Hotwire a try to get out of the house. Low and behold the chosen hotel was the Hyatt Regency McCormick place. This saddened me for 4 years ago we stayed at this exact hotel and there were baby roaches infesting our room. The hotel did nothing to accommodate us. The review is also here and on yelp. Against our better judgment we decided to go any way, " they say they have enhanced cleaning" and "it was 4 years ago so it should be better right"… NOPE! At about 2am I was suffering from a migraine, so my significant other grabbed my bag to get my meds. Well the bag tipped over and the pills rolled under the bench next to the tv. He reached to retrieve my meds and said, " why are you panties under the bench" and I replied, "those aren't my panties because I have them on". He looked at me with a confused look on his face as I turned on the lights. He was holding a f*ing mask that didn't belong to either one of us. He instantly through the mask back under the bench as I dialed the front desk to report our findings. The concierge apologized and told us that they would switch our room. We would've left, but it was 2am and we had ubered. Upon entering the other room the lights where already on, bathroom floor sticky, and a rip in the sheets. What was this a shelter?!? A few hours later we decided to just leave and go home.

We had a very nice visit at this Hyatt hotel. Everyday someone from housekeeping called to inquire that we had all that we needed. The service was excellent. Walking distance to the metra train, McCormick Place, 20 plus restaurants.

I had the best experience here from the minute to walking in the hotel. I was with Starbucks for our Leadership Experience on September 4-7. Our Bellman Brandon was awesome! He help myself and my 3 mom/managers to our rooms in separate areas. He got us ice and was so personable! To top it off he helped us again when we left what a coincidence! I was going to ask for him to help us but thought what were the chances he was working again! We also had a great experience at the Marketplace with Brittany! So lively and fun! Great attitudes all around! Thank you Hyatt Regency and Brandon for all the great memories!

My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) just stayed there for two nights. It’s not a horrible hotel but for the price we certainly did expect it to be a little better. They have a parking garage but charge $50/day to park there (added to your bill). However, you’re basically charged twice for the first day since you have to get a ticket when you first come in and pay inside the entrance then when you get your key cards they charge you $50. Our room didn’t have a microwave, which was very disappointing. But we could always use the one in the market but who wants to go all the way to the lobby level just to cook your food? Our view wasn’t bad. Room was clean. Would have been nice to actually have clean towels everyday without getting charged extra. The mini refrigerator really didn’t keep things very cold and there wasn’t a way to adjust the temperature. The pool was okay but our experience wasn’t great due to other guests not respecting the rules by letting their children jump/dive in and having to dodge getting smacked in the face with their ball or crashed into because they weren’t paying attention. The locker rooms could have a changing area instead of just bathroom stalls, shower and sauna. A hot tub would have been nice. The location wasn’t too far from the museums so that was great. The food in the Market was extremely over priced for it being pre-made microwaved food. The omelette tasted good though.

Fantastic hotel! All employees friendly and helpful. Hotel clean and easy to find your way around. Great location for museum campus and Soldier Field. Near green line for easy access to the rest of the city. Taxis available all hours out front. Self parking is convenient and easy and there is a valet option. Highly recommend!

Great hotel, spacious rooms; however bottle water too expensive. Access to fresh fruits was a plus in the Market area!

I was actually at the conference center at this facility. It is very welcoming however: It is very difficult to navigate the event center. There is no signage as to where to find various events. There were staff members who were happy to assist even though you wouldn’t expect them to assist. The cleaning staff the security staff the bell staff all were very helpful showing us how to navigate this humongous the Facility.

The hotel is super clean and provides a spacious area for large group of people to hangout. The size of the room is also pretty big with large shower and vanity plus an individual door to the toilet. The conference rooms can accommodate a good number of people as well. There is a big outdoor area with fountain stairs and beautiful flower pots. It is a great place for young children to have fun and parents don’t need to worry about traffic even if it’s just by the street. Overall, I had a great experience staying here. I would love to come back!

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view was amazing and the staff was really nice, but the elevators were extremely slow, and parking is RIDICULOUS. Not just the price, but there was literally no spots. Nothing fancy about the room, so I don’t think it was worth the price at all… would not stay here again.

Professionalism and service: A+. Stayed two nights with my spouse and two kids for a big church conference. Needed special arrangements due to our kids; everything we expected (simple requests) were fulfilled to the tee. Quiet floor, almost zero noticeable foot traffic. Clean. In walking distance to affordable meal options. Quite satisfied. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

The hotel welcomed us with a warm welcome, and did not give us any problems during our stay. We upgraded to a "city view" room for an additional $15/day and it was well worth it. Location is decent and only a 10 minute ride from downtown. Great stay.

I came here for a conference that lasted a few days and stayed in the hotel. The rooms are decently priced, and they're comfortable with good views. Everyone supporting the conference was excellent as well. The technical staff were very professional and helpful. The good and good staff were also good. I would definitely suggest the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place for anyone looking to host a small or midsize professional event.

Fabulous view and the bar and outdoor seating was a really cool relaxing spot with a chill vibe. Love this hotel and it’s location.

Always ask for lake view here. My boyfriend and I went here on a Saturday night about 7:00 pm. It was busy and there was over an hour wait, so we waited at the bar. The bartenders were really nice and attentive. The wait was becoming longer than I could take, as my blood sugar started dropping and I asked for some crackers and the lady bartender quickly brought me some bread which helped me right away. She was so kind and said that she can sympathize as her Mother is the same way. Very thoughtful.

Great hotel in the heart of the city. Very busy area, stayed for a convention. If I have another convention there, I will probably stay here or the Marriot right next door since they both connect directly to the conference center. Rooms where clean and cold upon arrival, which is great when it was pretty warm outside. 3 pillows came per bed, but they were quick to send up a few more. Great service!

Absolute waste of money to stay here. We are not from Chicago, so we called ahead to ensure we booked a room with an excellant city view. We also requested a higher up room. We were assured what we booked was a great room with a great view.
We arrived to see our view was of the marriot hotel. There was also a lamp that did not work and what looked like a pubic hair on the toilette seat. I went downstairs to politely complain and a very rude red headed woman, who seemed to be management, decided to move us to a LOWER floor in a different tower.
I told her we wanted a higher floor and we requested a higher floor, with a view, and thats whatvwe expect. The trainee said they were available however the woman said sorry theyre not. Clearly she just didnt want us to move to a nicer room. She asked me if I was from Chicago, I said no, and then she walked away.
The room we moved to had a slightly better view but was still unacceptable. Moving to our new room we found it wasnt clean and still a lamp was out. This hotel is so rediculous they charge for the bottles of water, that are usually free, in the rooms. By the way it was aquafina!
Staff was not helpful, we were also suppose to be able to park free onsite and was unable to use the onsite garage. So we had to walk from building to building, which is not convienant after walking around a festival all day long. Also our key cards only worked for parking the first day. And we were charged for parking.

This hotel has the most wonderful gym I've ever seen in a hotel. I also very much enjoyed the lap pool as well — the only thing that's missing was a Jacuzzi. There is also a very nice locker room and sauna. The rooms were very nice as well and there is a lot of healthy food options on the first level, along with restaurants with vegan friendly options. We very much enjoyed our stay.

I love staying at the Hyatt Hotel in Chicago! The staff is so professional! The rooms and suites are awesome! The food is good! And view from the room is beautiful looking at the water! I’ll be back soon!

Terribly slow elevators for 20 floors and only 3 elevators worked. When you have to wait over 10-15 minutes to get out and you’re on the top floor, taking stairs isn’t a option especially when you’re checking out… Also, someone had the audacity to knock on my door bcuz I was laughing too loud at 9:30pm when there was a damn convention downstairs all weekend long day and night. I couldn’t even enjoy the outside because it was soo crowded… Someone should’ve been knocking on my neighbors door because they had their bad ass kids playing and running around at 2am! How rude and very inconsiderate! I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you’re attending one of their conventions but for relaxation that’s out of the question!

Excellent hotel. Great staff. Everyone I was in contact with, from my pre arrival emails, to my check out, was helpful and professional. Our room was well furnished and comfortable, and kept clean by housekeeping. If you are going to the convention center, the location can't be beat. I'll definitely be back.

It is a nice hotel, but the walls are extremely thin. I could hear my neighbors talking, playing their music, watching tv, etc. It wasn’t a volume issue. The entire hotel seems cheaply built so sound is an problem. The breakfast buffet is overpriced and the same quality as a Hampton Inn. Best perk is the Market downstairs that will deliver to your room. Very affordable and decent selection of basic foods. Overall, I don’t think I would recommend this hotel or location to a friend.

This is a beautiful property in the heard of Chicago right on the river. The hotel decor is modern and upscale and it has one of the best rooftop bars in the city (Aire). The rooftop bar has excellent spaces and views, and the cocktails are excellent and priced reasonably given the venue. The fire pits were a nice touch. Even if you're not a guest of the hotel, it's worth a visit for the views and a drink on the rooftop.

Beautiful hotel, polite staff, comfortable accommodations. Check out desk not as knowledgeable to out of town guest sent us on a wild goose chase in 90 degree weather for 3hours. Other than that. Perfect stay.

The staff was awesome, GREAT customer service. The Manager upgraded us to an spacious executive king suite that gave us an awesome view of the city and parts of the Lake! Most importantly my 3 year old enjoyed the space to run around. Thank you James and your staff for our wonderful stay! We will be back!

It's a luxury hotel. The rooms are big, furnished with all the amenities. There was a working desk in my room. The room was nice and clean. The only thing I noticed that the washroom didn't have the bathtub. Later one I found out that the other tower of the hotel has bathtubs but not this. The hotel has multiple restaurants and a large conference/event facility as well. There is a fitness center and a pool with maintained temperature. Furthermore the hotel is on a 5 minutes drive to the downtown and Michigan avenue. Needless to mention, great staff. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here.

Terrific hotel with nice amenities and centrally located. Within walking distance of Soldier Field and Chicago's museum campus. My only minor complaint is that it's a bit of a walk to the nearest "L" station. Also, the North Tower partially faces a giant tank, which is less than a stellar view. But made up for by the fact that you can see the Willis Tower (Sears Tower) from that same side. Staff were friendly and helpful. And room rates, though high for my tastes, are not bad for a luxury hotel so near the Lakefront.

Room 0630 blood on mattress. Bedding was sheet, light blanket, sheet. Feather pillows that were rock hard and my head went straight to the mattress. Was unpleasantly light bedding to sleep with and no extra blankets. The shower is doesn't get hot water just warm. Was less than impressed with my stay for the cost of the room 200$+ per night.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time I was in an upgraded room and it was wonderful. This time I experienced a medical emergency during my stay and the hotel staff was wonderful. I had to be transported to the hospital and they extended my room until I could get back to get my belongings. They were very understanding and helpful in a very stressful situation. Thank you to the hotel staff for all they did.

Nice location, the walkways to the convention center were so nice, no cold weather walks. The room was okay. The bed was comfortable. However the house keeping could definitely been better. I had someone else's hair in several places.

I was checked in and out with ease. I took away a star because the iron was not clean and I had to clean it myself because I was in a hurry. Service was not bad. I wish there was more nearby food options, but the delived food from outside was great. I, also, wish I had a better view outside my window.

Excellent hotel. Super recommended if the cleanliness and the spacious rooms you like. The hotel has everything you need for a weekend at a conference. The parking cost 36 dollars with inputs and outputs. The only thing I did not like the hotel, is that this removed from the center and go up the 55 to access the area.

Disrespectful partiers (adult) … up and down the hall, loud music, slamming doors and it took me (at 2AM) calling down to complain (overheard the security guard say I was the fifth complaint) to get the EIGHT unregistered adult guests to finally leave! I would think ONE complaint would have been sufficient to get non registered guests out of here (especially in a dance convention weekend when there are many children in the hotel). The food service at the Market place was EXCRUCIATING! Called down for room service… it took 1 1/2 hours! Stood in line TWICE to get food between dances and waited for over 40 minutes to even place an order because the ladies working were blabbing on and on about how the hot stylist made her hair orange and not even working while talking, just standing there … talking! I found the Market place staff to be inattentive and very disrespectful to their paying customers. On the plus side, they honored my parking pass discount. I really hope that the dance convention is not here next year because we will NOT be staying here!

This is a really nice hotel! The location is both awesome and terrible depending on what you're doing in Chicago. It's attached to the convention center so it's incredibly convenient but otherwise there is practically nothing near by at all. I was working the convention, so I did not stay overnight but I have in the past and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff worked hard to make sure the stay was good, rooms were modern, restaurants are pretty good. I don't have Hyatt status so I don't know about any of those benefits. Overall, if you're working at the convention center this is a great hotel!

We booked kind of last minute for $100 and were pleasantly surprised on the value. The rooms were either recently remodeled or really well kept. The decor for the rooms was very modern and well done, nothing cheap. My only complaint was the pool was very small for the size of the hotel and it was really cold. They need to get a heater in there for those parents that have kids that need to swim no matter the weather.

My family stayed here for the auto show and my kids loved the hotel! We had a city view, which was gorgeous at night and we ate at the Third Star hotel downstairs. Food was great! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My kids loved the pool and made new friends. Only issue is that whoever cleaned our room left a dirty sheet on one of the beds. House keeping apologized and changed them. They also were extremely nice and gave us free bottles of water (that are normally $3.50 each) as a apology. I’d definitely stay here again. Won’t let one little mishap ruin it.

Easy to get to. Self parking or valet available & reasonably priced for Chicago. Can enter/exit garage whenever you want. Only a couple blocks from Wintrust Arena. Staff are friendly, rooms are really nice, spacious, modern and clean. Would definitely stay again.

Will definitely be staying there again. The staff were incredibly friendly. Although there was such a long line to check in on New Year's Eve — the staff on site made a point to walk around and pass out water bottles to those waiting in line which I though was very considerate. Once at the front desk — check in was super quick. The rooms are so cozy and the views are great too!

Had the pleasure to be here for a conference. The staff were accommodating for our group and all the attendees taking over some of the common spaces and just hanging out… from the late night group singing, playing mafia, to impromptu hide and seek. Some nights we were up until 3 AM. The rooms are clean and the house keeping staff did a great job. I’d recommend this hotel based on their service.

This hotel is located 20 minutes walking distance to Downtown Chicago. So you'll need to take a taxi or you can walk it if you like. Hotel is clean and well kept. Room service is on point and great amenities like cooler in the room, safe, Starbucks coffee machine in your room. Great Gym, descent size pool and sauna.

Great hotel, connected to the South building of McCormick Place. Arc Bar has good food and a sufficient beer selection. Beautiful rooms, larger than many hotels in the city. I just wish there were more restaurants and bars around in walking distance. Not the hotel's fault, but I wouldn't stay there if I was looking to explore the city more. You pretty much have to take a cab to get into downtown.

The room is very quiet and comfortable the service at lunch a little long, the proximity to the Convention center is perfect.

Everyone at this Hyatt was super friendly. The rooms were spotless with nice high end furnishings. The food downstairs was excellent and convenient. It is located in a busy area but busy mostly from taxi traffic, not stand still traffic. The views overlook the city and Lake Michigan. The parking garage wasn't crowded.

Great hotel for the Convention center. Just to rate and pass to. All services expected.

I had the skirt steak. It was presented very well and had good flavor. A couple of suggestions. I would slice the steak before serving and suggest it be cooked medium for maximum tenderness. Also the Third Star sign should be more elegant. With these suggestions and a small candle for each four top I would give it 5 stars!

The bed in my room is very uncomfortable but the place is very nice. Good food, very professional service.

This is a great hotel if you're in town for a conference at the McCormick center. The hotel is directly across the street from the center. The rooms are spacious and the staff is very accommodating. You're a short ride from downtown and there are many options for food in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Good thing: Location for the Marathon Expo. Comfortable everything. The only bad thing: Wi fi weak and we were touched by sloppy sheets.

My wife and I stayed here for a no-kids date night. The room was large, with a king bed and a beautiful view of the city. Most important, it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the Hotel's Third Star restaurant was excellent. We had a fantastic time and would recommend Hyatt Regency McCormick to anyone staying downtown.

Excellent facilities with several options for food within the hotel. We liked the market. However, the lines are long in the morning. Rooms are well appointed, clean and safe. Hotel overlooks lake Michigan and is very lovely. Be aware there is very little in the immediate vicinity of the hotel so you will need to uber or taxi to other restaurants. Staff very friendly and attentive.

I like this hotel so much! I stayed for 3 nights with my GF. We had amazing time and great food in the bar at night. The buffet in the morning is not so good but it was fine enough. The room that we got was fabulous! Classic public transportation from and to the hotel. Very recommend!

Staff was friendly, professional and quick. Gym was nice, full of machines, and clean. Wish the rooms had refrigerators instead of coolers although there is an option to call and have the service provided for a refrigerator, but I did not want to put forth the effort. Walking bridge to the convention center is perfect. Room service always came earlier than estimated (a plus when you're hungry). Enjoyed my stay.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… We were amazed coming into the lobby with the scale and quality of the environment. The staff are very professional and kind as well as very thorough. The room itself was very clean and upscale. I especially liked the curved desk provided with two chairs as it allowed us to focus on our work instead of one of us working while sitting in the bed. The large glass shower stall was incredible along with the rest of the bathroom. There was ample room around the sink for our personal hygiene products. We were very impressed by the recreation center. Not only were the appearance of the machines modern and sleek, they worked very smoothly. The pool was two lanes with enough seating.

We missed our train and ended up staying at the Hyatt for the night. We were very impressed! We had a room up on the 31st floor with a gorgeous lake view. The room was spacious and the bathroom was gorgeous. The only complaint I have was that there wasn't much light at the bathroom vanity and there wasn't another mirror in the room to do hair/make-up. Staff was GREAT. Two restaurants. Small market with Starbucks coffee stand.

Spend a beautiful long weekend at Hyatt and it was amazing. We upgraded to the room with a view and I would highly recommend doing that because it is breath taking. All of the staff are very friendly and it is in a good location. The whole hotel is just amazing. You do have to pay a lot of parking about 35 a day which was a surprise to us. Other than that it was perfect.

I have never had to call guest services so many times at a hotel. When I first came into the room, the sink was broken. Then it was something wrong with a fixture on the wall. The cable system stop functioning due to a storm. My room was not cleaned thus no fresh towels. On top of all that you have to buy drinking water for $3.50 a bottle. I wish they would have inform guest about the water. The water from the sink has a sulfur smell. The Hyatt is suppose to be a upscale hotel. I received better service at the Holiday Inn Express and received free breakfast.

Terrible experience! I stayed at this hotel because I was attending a conference for work. I flew in from out of town to attend this conference. I will never stay at this hotel again. I also will never recommend this hotel. If the conference is held here again next year, I will book a different hotel and stay elsewhere. Save your money and go to a better hotel. For the price you pay you, it should be wonderful. It is not. I didn't even want to give it one star, but had to so I could post.

I really enjoy this hotel. The grounds are spectacular. The staff, kind and hard working. Yet, our AC stopped working one night. And our fridge also had to be reset but turning all the power off. Pool could be much cleaner. But over all I always feel fancy pants here. And there is construction at 830 am in the lobby, but how much love can you get from a corporation.?

Not happy with the experience here at all. We booked a room and when we arrived they informed us that they were completely booked out. They never called us, they never emailed us, they didn't do anything… they simply ignored us. We were stranded in the south loop late at night with nowhere to go because the manager didn't take the initiative to inform us that things had changed. Don't book rooms to people when you don't have them to book.

Great place for conference and not bad for tourism since the bus stop right outside shoots right into downtown Chicago. Gym and pool are just enough, wide range of machines and weights. Towels need a little more bleach, one of mine had this blood like stain and carpets could use a vacuum. Free cookies and lemonade at the front desk at night and fruit chunked water during the day. Wide range of free amenities and also many cords and wires you can borrow for charging or connecting to the TV.

Location was ideal. The room (Grant Park Room) was large and quiet, the service was tremendous. One issue I had was with bike parking. I could not find any clearly accessible biking lock stations or poles. This was a minor inconvenience.

This hotel hotel is fantastic. Wonderful views of the lake. The rooms are well appointed. Unfortunately there is no free breakfast, but the room dine in menu food is delicious. Parking is not free, but that is how hotels are going in bigger cities these days. The lake front is also a short walk through the convention center. Will definitely stay here again!

Hotel staff was friendly, parking was convenient. Shor restaurant had excellent food, good ambience, and good service for a reasonable price.

My wife and I use to only stay at the Hyatt when ever we stayed at a hotel. We stay so much that we are at a platinum status. However on April 23, 2016 we booked a room and was upgraded to the Skyline suite. My wife and I was ver excited. I copied and paste the email from Alex the front dest supervisor that was sent to my wife. "Good Morning Kimberly, I do see your request for an upgrade to one of our Deluxe rooms. Unfortunately, the Deluxe rooms are only in our north tower which does not have a good view from the room. I would be happy to upgrade you to one of our Skyline Suites free of charge tomorrow night, however the room has two beds, a queen and a double. Is this okay for you? If not, I can also keep you in your original room type you booked which is with a view of downtown on a high floor. Thank you, Alex" We was in town to attend a concert that night. However, when we I check into the hotel they gave our room away. My wife and I was trying to figure out what happen and why. Between talking to the front desk, Manager and corporate we miss our chance at the meet and greet (that we payed for). My wife was very upset with the outcome. Not only did she did not get to meet her favorite singers up close and personal — the room that we got was not up to our usual standards. The lights was not working and when we came back her Mac make up was missing. We filed a complaint but corporate never got back to us.

Beautiful location, wonderful staff, great food, easy access Wi-Fi with good free speed. Good walking distance to many things. Great river run, walk, or bike path. Close to public transit. Uber servicing area. Gym and pool were awesome. All in all zero issues, would definitely use this hotel again. Oh and the room shower had amazing hot pressure.

Really enjoyed our stays in the hotel. All staff members I talked to were friendly and informative. I like that the hotel let use check in early right after the room was available. We will definitely return to and stay in the hotel next time we visit Chicago.

My family and I stayed at the Hyatt while attending C2E2. It was the perfect setup. We were able to arrive Friday night, check in, park, drop off our luggage, and get straight to the show floor. We were on the 22nd floor, and it was as simple as getting on the elevator and walking through a few hallways to get to the convention. The room was great, but it was really the ease of access to the show floor that we loved. It allows you to go back and forth between show floor and hotel room periodically throughout the day. Wonderful staff as well!

The stay was fine, however my card was charged twice for one of the two rooms I had reserved. I had to change the name on a reservation because it was a group event. I called before even arriving multiple times, and got different information on each occasion. When I arrived I explained what had happened and the manager on duty acted as if I would have to pay for an extra room that I had not reserved. I was told I would receive a call later about the situation but did not until the following evening. While it got reversed "at least I believe so", I am still waiting on the charges to refund to my checking, the entire situation left unimpressed with their customer service. This should have never happened orbit least been explained when I called the first time days before and adjusted the reservation.

Hotel is conveniently located next to the Convention Center but there is not much else in the area. Hotel food options are the standard corporate fare designed for those eating on an expense account. I would like to see something with more creativity and better options for restrictive diets. Minimalist room decor is attractive but not terribly useful, with weak lighting at the vanity and a glass shower that allows water to leak on the floor. A clear case of form not following function. The entertainment system is quite useful with a breakout panel for audio and video inputs and plenty of ports for powering devices. I have not tried the room Wi-Fi. Staff has been very helpful and pleasant.

Stopped in for drinks during afternoon/dinner break for conference. Bar was slammed and overwhelmed. Took about 15 minutes to get 2nd drink but the bartender was very nice and I wasnt in a big hurry.

Arrived at almost 2am and hotel stay was great. Greeted us with a smile. Room was large, clean, and quiet. Parking was easy and we choose to include it in our hotel package for the night. Will definitely stay here next time we are in Chicago.

We chose the Hyatt because of its proximity to the Auto Show. The room was nice but small and I did not like the door less bathroom set up. My main issue was the lack of Valet. After driving several hours to get there I just wanted to relax and was in no mood for the mess we found there. The valet and self park were both full due to an event at McCormick Place so we had to park across the street and walk quite a distance when all we wanted to do was get to our room. This experience may weigh heavily on any future stay there.

Great service, staff was caring and professional. It was very busy when we went but we still felt very well taken care. We stayed on the 22nd floor, the only problem we encountered was noise from the stairs. Our room was next to a stairwell and in the middle of the night people were running up and down the stairs making a lot of noise and waking us up. After telling the staff about it everything was taken care of.

Well located! For meetings perfectly as directly to McCormick Convention Center then! Room and bathroom clean and big enough! Staff and Service excellent and professional! Several Restaurants & Bar in the house! Post and parcel Service is also in the house. Pool, Business Center available!

Although it is already about ten years ago when I stayed here but I have at the time, it was fine. Super location, great, large room and for American standards a good Breakfast.

This place is very helpful in taking care of their guests. The hotel has a modern design and is clean… at least before a massive convention. The rooms are good. They are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are also big and new. Overall had a great experience.

I stayed here for 3 nights during December for the music education conference. It was a fantastic experience. When I checked in, the staff gave me great recommendations on local restaurants, bars, and shops. The parking deck was large enough so we didn't have to spend very long searching for a spot. It was a little pricey to park, but it was safe and well lit. The beds were very comfortable. When we asked for extra blankets however, they were not brought. We had to ask several times for extra blankets. The coffee shop staff was very rude and did not get my order right. When I asked for a replacement, they were not willing due to the high volume of people. I did not go back. The free Internet was a joke. It did not work at all and gave me nothing but error messages. I understand large amounts of people slow it down, but don't advertise fast free Internet if you don't have the resources to provide it. The gym was great! The location of the hotel was convenient. Overall, I would recommend staying here! It made my Chicago experience fun and warm. Thank you Hyatt for a great time!

Wonderful hotel in the South Loop. Conveniently located within McCormick Place Convention Center, near Chinatown and Soldier Field, as well as several neighborhood restaurants and music venues. Lakefront as well as city views available. The suites are spacious and reasonably priced. The bar on the first floor has great thin-crust pizza and friendly bartenders.

The location was good. Just a few minute walk to the subway/L. Felt safe in the area, including late at night. The room was nice, but as with most hotels, the light switch when you first walk in barely lights a foot in front of you so had to fumble around in the dark for the rest of the switches. Pretty nice bar just off the lobby. Didn't get to try the pool, but looked nice and well mantained. The gym was great. Our room was on the wrong side, but some of the rooms would offer a view of the lake I imagine. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel and would stay again myself.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. Definitely a highlight of my visit to Chicago! The view was amazing and the room was even more amazing! Would definitely stay here again.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Blackstone and it was the most amazing night of our lives. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are great. And most of all, the staff was unbelievably helpful. Can't recommend this hotel enough!

Love the hotel. Perfect for anyone but especially exhibitors and conference attendees. Has a food/drink spot open 24 hours which is helpful. I have stayed here for conferences over the years and have always found the staff to be extremely helpful. Nice, clean, comfortable and friendly. Thanks for a great stay.

The lobby is quite nice. The rooms are like every other hotel. Nothing special. It's a Holiday Inn with marble bathroom floors. The front desk is staffed by people with barely adequate skills. If your a Diamond member, don't expect anything here. Hotel management doesn't give a darn. You'r just another body in a bed. I've stayed at Hyatt Hotel for months at a time. By far this ranks on the bottom of the list. Find a different Hyatt of a different hotel.

More overpriced than other luxury hotels. The shower made tons of noise. Burnt out bulbs on check in. Sloooooooooow Wi-Fi.

Here for work with The Bears Network (preseason), loved the rooms, extremely clean, beds are very comfy and all of the staff is awesome. Definitely would come back. Oh wait I am, for the last preseason game. Can't wait.

Actually it was last year, stayed there 3 days. Nice and clean, complete and new facilities, easy access to loop/ downtown/ attractions. I spent $90 per night, nothing can beat this I guess, highky recommended if you could get a great price, but itzs not woeth a hype for $200+

Stayed there one night over the weekend for Taylor Swift concert. Hate the fact that I even called to confirm my reservation and upon arrival I was told that there were only king rooms available and Hyatt was not responsible for what expedia sells. As someone who's worked in hospitality and in a high end hotel before I can't believe you would not only do nothing to accommodate but you also placed the blame on expedia stating that you aren't responsible for that expedia sells. Wow! Just wow I can't believe you would even call that good customer relations. I will never book Hyatt hotels again!

I was here for the 4th of July/Grateful Dead shows weekend and the place was full to capacity and even though they were dealing with thousands of people. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They made suggestions and answered all sorts of questions. I even got lost trying to find my car in the parking lot and a staff member walked with me to make sure I found it. I think the hotel went out of their way to make the experience one to remember. Taxi's come in and out in a very organized way and also the bus stops right in front so it was easy to get to all the special places around town and back at night. The views from the rooms are lovely as well.

The hotel is luxurious and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed for three days and two nights. My room was a double and the bed was so uncomfortable! will definitely book this hotel again.

Stayed here for a trip to chicago with my kids and it was a very nice clean hotel. There were 2 things that I really didnt care for though: 1. Having to pay $34 for parking when im already staying at the hotel is quite ridiculous. 2. As beautiful as the bathroom/shower in the room was, the drain was very slow. You were wading in 2-3 inches of water as taking a shower. Other than those 2 things we really enjoyed our stay.

I was here for a business trip and overall this will be my place I stay every time I come to Chicago. The location is perfect its right on the out skirts of downtown maybe a 5-7 drive not far at all its a great location due to it not being busy and being able to walk. I had a view of all the buildings and lake Michigan. For the price its not bad at all my room was clean and the front desk staff was very welcoming. The restaurants on site was good as well the hotel is very nice and its attached to the convention center. Cons: — Nothing major only thing is I felt since I stayed during the week the parking price of 34 a night is a little too expensive it should had been lower — Hidden taxes and fees they charge you after you check out — The room had every amenities you need except a microwave. They have a small re fridge but it doesn't help if you have leftovers from all the good food Chicago has you cant eat it in the room. Other than that Ill be back to stay next time ill go with a suite instead.

The stay was very nice. I did have a small problem. Room service was not up to par. I had a steak that was under cooked. I asked for Medium Well and and got Medium rare. The day I checked out the front desk person did take it off my bill. Why four stars. I had a small window for dinner. Going out to eat was not an option. I will return since this hotel was very nice, rooms were comfortable and the staff was very good.

I usually like Hyatt hotels and this wasn't an exception. Conveniently located by the McCormick Convention Center so there's no need to go outside, specially when an arctic cold wave is hitting Chicago. Rooms are very spacious, modern and super comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again during a convention. Hotel staff was awesome too, helpful and very friendly. Nicely done.

Our experienced turned out to be the worst experience ever staying in a Hyatt Hotel. We recently stayed at the Hyatt McCormick for a wedding. The rooms were clean upon arrival, everything was great! However, the following morning we noticed a really bad sewage smell throughout the bathroom. The smell was so awful we went to another family members room to use the bathroom and shower. We called the front desk to have someone look into the problem, no one ever came, even after several attempts to notify house keeping and front desk. Overall, it was never fixed. Secondly, my car keys were mistakenly picked up by another wedding party member BUT turned in to security. I continued to check with security and the lost and found every hour after checkout and stayed at the Hyatt until about 5pm. There were no keys, (keep in mind I was told my keys were there and had been turned in) I paid for two tows to have my car taken out of the structure and shipped back on a flatbed to Milwaukee. I was very upset and frustrated and did not enjoy my Sunday with my family. I called back to the Hyatt before going to the Infiniti dealership to pay for another key and guess what. Security said my keys were there and had been there since Sunday. So not only did I spend hundreds of dollars for a two tow trucks, a smelly bathroom, and missed the PACKERS game. But the Hyatt also charged me to ship my keys next day air to me.

Stayed there from 9/29 — 10/1/2014. I left my Stenson hat on the lamp next to the bed, I checked out 10/1 called several times and left my phone number three times no one called me back. I was placed on hold several times left for several minutes and finally told they would call me. (never did) I called again the next day and was told house keeping never turned it in. So it must of walked off the ninth floor? This will be my last stay at the Hyatt! — Watch your stuff.

Its funny that Im reviewing this place and actually never stayed a night. I'll tell you why. I booked a stay from August 8th-August 11th. Well, booked a reservation and left my card on file. Long story short, I found a different hotel and cancelled the booking 5 days in advance. (must cancel within 24 hrs for a 100% refund). I was charged $208 and I hadnt stepped foot in the hotel! I immediately called the hotel who stated they had no record of even charging my card. Odd. Yet they were able to locate my cancelled reservation. I tried to dispute the charge with my bank whom stated the charge could not be disputed since it was still pending and had not finalized. By the way, my wife and I were traveling from out of town. My card was put on hold for the $208 and took 10 whole days to clear which took alot of going back and forth with the hotel and bank. Completely unnecessary and very poor customer service. I would not reserve/book here unless you have an extra $200 to keep on hold : (.

We loved our experience over the weekend. 8/15 — 8/17. We did the Navy Pier and walked downtown Chicago. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the executive suite which would had been nice if there were a view of the city's skyline rather than lake Michigan and the convention center. I would definitely come back to this hotel it was a great experience. Great staff, clean room, and great housekeeping. Thank You Hyatt McCormick Place for a awesome stay.
