My girls and I had a PHENOMENAL time here this past weekend. Everyone in the hotel was pleasant and so eager to assist in any way that they could. The penthouse suite is AMAZING! The view from there is magnificent. There was more than enough space for us. The appliances are top of the line. The restaurant has a cool ambiance and the staff was great. The food was very good. We are definitely looking forward to having another RBL staycation here again! And by the way, WE LOVE US SOME REUBEN!

It started the moment I called from the subway station to figure out which way to go. I was greeted by Paige and she stayed on the phone with me until I felt I was comfortable with which way to walk. She also reassured me after all that all I had to do was pick up my keys. She handled the check in. I mentioned we were there for my husband's birthday and when we got there she set up a birthday surprise with a personal note, his favorite candy, ice cream, and a bottle of champagne. The experience from there only got better. We needed food and attraction ideas and we ran across Artem. He was so helpful and upbeat. Knowing now that he's the manager and knowing how busy he is, he never made us feel rushed or in the way. Ross, Frankie, Kyle, Kendall, Sal, and all the staff we came into contact with were amazing. So much so that even if we won the lottery and could stay anywhwere else, We will stay here every time. Even as a frequent Marriott guest this by far is the best experience I have ever had. Great first visit to The Windy City.

The rooms were spacious and clean, had a big guest list we made noise but I don't think we bothered anyone maybe the rooms are soundproofed? don't know that but had a blast.

The suite I was in was great! id stay there again… even the front desks guys were great!

Highly recommend. Staff was incredible. Ismeta will make your waffle anyway you want it and bring it to you. All the staff was quick to help clean up your table. If you want to be treated like family, this is definitely the spot to stay. Breakfast was on point. They have so many options and is super close to almost anything you need in Chicago. We got three day city passes for transportation and we did not use them enough to justify them because we were so close to everything. The lobby is set up to be family friendly with some amazing games like connect4 and bags. They have computers in the lobby for you to use and a nice fireplace. Again, highly recommend. The views are not so fantastic because there are building surrounding it but the pool is on the top floor (27th floor) so that’s pretty awesome. If you are coming to Chicago… this is the place to stay!

Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.

Just checked in, and I can already tell you, every employee here is amazing. These people are the best. Very helpful in every way. Also, their lounge slash restaurant has very good food.

It's all about location location location. The room is very spacious. It's also awesome that they offer complimentary breakfast. The staff is courteous and the hotel is clean and well maintained overall. The decor is kind of dated though.

Usually stay at River North RI, but stayed here due to location close to conference. Beautiful historic building. Staff is impeccable. River North management team needs to have their staff trained here. This RI will most likely be my go to in downtown Chicago now.

Great location in the heart of downtown. Very walkable to lots of local attractions. They’ve taken over a beautiful historic building. Breakfast is a grab fest, we only did it once and then chose local restaurants after that. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

You have to be kidding me. This Residence Inn is in need of a complete renovation and the rooms are spacious but furniture is dated and the cable reception kept going in and out. The linens in the bathroom did not look clean and also the food for the breakfast buffet was a pure disaster. Can you get any cheaper with your food offerings? Powdered eggs, pork sausage patties, instant oatmeal, not very fresh fruit, cheap quality bread, frozen mini waffles and some yogurt. The staff were very attentive and kind but that does not make up for what the hotel is offering at the rate they are charging.

Hotel was good by location. I would give only 1 star since there were no special arrangements done for my anniversary (even though I told them THREE times and they kept saying "I ll see what I can do". ). Finally they promised to arrange a chocolate cake for us which never came in. Guess what, it was Friday evening and they staffed 3 young teenager girls from school (summer vacation) on Front desk of the hotel who had absolute no knowledge about the hotel industry. Another 1 star because they had smart experienced men atleast on Sunday morning on my check out!

This hotel is very nice. A great location, walking distance to many things. The hotel lobby has lovely charm and character. The rooms are a perfect size for our family of 5. I was quite impressed. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful, aways going a step above the rest.

Love the Residence. Good rate, but they include a fully stocked kitchen which really helps when you're staying more than one night. This location was great — zero complaints. The free breakfast was excellent — far better than the standard continental breakfast fare you get elsewhere.

Great hotel in downtown Chicago. Free breakfast which is pretty good. Tons of seating. We had a suite and it was comfortable and very clean. The staff was amazing! Very helpful and anticipated our needs. Highly recommend.

Great location. About 8 minute walk to Millenium Park or the Art Institute and also to the bridge. Rooms are spacious. They are suites so you have a mini kitchen with a fridge and a microwave. Bathrooms are good sized. Staff is friendly.

Can't say more good things about my visit so far. Rooms look to be recently renovated and are spacious as you'd expect for a residence inn. Restaurant downstairs has some good options for food and a killer old fashioned. There is no happy at this location so take that for what you will. Decent location to the entire loop.

Our room was clean, nicely equipped and quiet. The location of the hotel is pretty convenient as well, close to a lot of theaters and about a mile or two from the navy pier or millennium park. Breakfast was provided as was decent. All in all a nice stay! The only complaint I have is that the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke a few times.

We stayed 2 nights and absolutely loved it! We would recommend this place to anyone!

Enjoyed our stay here, the staff was absolutely wonderful! For a family of 5 in a 1 bed room suite, we had plenty of room. One of the largest I've seen, very clean. Great location, walking distance  from Target, Walgreens, 711, restaurants and more. Will definitely stay here again.

Looks like they recently renovated the rooms. Everything was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. Free breakfast in the morning is a bonus. Bell tower rooms seem to bit a little smaller but offer better views.

Stayed at this place for a week and the place is awesome. It's right in middle of the loop which is great. The room was spacious and one of the few to have a dedicated kitchen place. The breakfast service was nice and the valet service was prompt. Overall would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the loop.

Beautiful hotel and everyone we came in contact with that worked was very professional and went above and beyond. It was really quiet and clean. The room was magnificent with a decent view. Will definitely stay here again.

Very nice rooms and a really good size. Very nice architecture and a welcoming staff. Solid breakfast as well. Would recommend the hotel especially given the reasonable rate in the middle of downtown.

Kyle and Omar were so sweet to have sent a charcuterie, Chardonnay, and a card, with a handwritten note, to our room upon learning we're here for the shortest honeymoon ever. I work in hotels and didn't want to make a big deal about it but didn't know my new hubby called ahead. I was so surprised! This hotel is beautiful. We still have another night here but I already can't wait to come back!

Elegant and modern accommodation. Very clean facilities and breakfast was delicious. Appreciated that there waa scrambled egg whites on the menu. Stayed in a spacious, well appointed one bedroom corner suite with great city views. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Great place in the Loop. Quiet on the weekends due to location in financial district. Only downside of this is most restaurants in the near vicinity are closed Sat. /Sun. Rooms are immaculate. The building is beautiful, our room was clean and spacious (especially for a downtown hotel) and there is a large area for breakfast. Also, the staff was very professional and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!

Staff was friendly and quick. Room was clean and large bed was super comfy. Parking is expensive. But, good room for the rate and location.

Stayed 1 night in a suite with my sister for some fun in the city before she went home to TX. Was very impressed by the staff, they were extremely professional yet sweet, helpful and inviting. Suite was clean, breakfast was happy surprise full of many delightful choices, beds comfortable. Only a few small disappointments… thought we'd have a Keurig for morning coffee (as shown on website) but had a pot with undesirable coffee & one of the valet staff was quite harsh when we were 'told' to move because we were too close to an entrance while smoking… NO big deal & these little things would not detour us from staying again. Hotel was very beautiful & was the perfect location within the Loop.

Great location on the downtown loop, only a few blocks from millennium park and Sears tower. There were a few good restaurants nearby. Close to train and metro stops. The staff was great from check in to check out, let's us stay past our late check out time when we were running behind. Breakfast was pretty great and they changed the menu every day. Great bar and lounge area. The building itself was very cool, I recommend checking out the history of the clocktower if you stay. Overall great hotel. Will definitely stay there again.

I spent the night here with my daughter. Check in person was super nice and upgraded us for free. Beautiful room with a spacious bathroom and two large screen TVs. Nice to have coffee and microwave popcorn; would have liked to have a little more creamer. Lounge was lovely with a Christmas tree. No signs of the typical happy hour or free coffee you usually see. We ordered dinner (made by Roanoke next door) in the lounge by the fire. Hot breakfast with many items although not as much variety as I sometimes see in other hotels. Having said all this, it was a great value for the price and I would come again.

Excellent breakfast. Nice location. Within a few blocks of Navy Pier. No complaints at all except for the bartender. She has a terrible attitude. Avoid her at all costs. Everyone else is very helpful and goes the extra mile for you. I've stayed on higher floors and lower and they are both well appointed.

Good hotel, but higher floors are better. There were a few odd sounds every now and then in my room that I couldn't place (not elevator). Pretty good complimentary breakfast, and dinner is good too (from Roanoke I believe). Can be quite expensive as a downside. Overall — I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and bar lounge. The breakfast is great and included with your rate. The rooms are spacious and modern. Housekeeping does a great job at paying attention to the small details. Checkout the Roanoke happy hour downstairs, they have good quality food and drink for a reasonable price. It's the best residence inn I've stayed at when it comes to the quality of the property and what it offers.

The hotel itself is nice — clean, modern, comfortable rooms. Unfortunately I can't give this hotel more than 1 star due to absolutely horrible service. First of all, the housekeeping is beyond bad. It's disgusting. We stayed for 5 nights and had good service only one day. They either cleaned the room only partially, or came in at 7pm when we were in the room having dinner (even though the room was empty all day), or didn't come at all. When we checked out, we forgot $40 worth of chocolate we purchased as gifts in the fridge. We remembered as soon we checked out and I tried to get it back into the room. The maids wouldn't open the door for me for several minutes, and when they finally did — they said they thought the chocolate was "trash" ($40 of brand new chocolate bars and wrapped bulk chocolate from Dylan Chocolates), so they "threw it in the trash". When I looked in the trash, the chocolate bars were partially eaten. We weren't out of the room for even 5 minutes. On top of that, the hotel charged us $88.10 in extra fees for nothing. They promised to refund it, but ten days later the fees are still on our credit card.

A nice, comfortable hotel with a downtown location that can't be beat. The two block walk to the Blue Line to O'Hare clinched it for us. Our 1 Bedroom suite was reasonably spacious and well appointed. I was a bit surprised that the sockets weren't conducive to international travelers, nor were adapters provided in room, but that must not be a large part of their clientele. Free breakfast offered a large selection including two types of sausage, both pure and sugar free maple syrup, and dairy free alternatives for ones coffee. The staff were also very warm and the hospitality was notable. Even though we put our sign up that our room did not require service, housekeeping still called to check if we would like fresh towels. A nice small touch. Dog friendly a plus. Why not 5 stars? It's a well kept, spacious modern property with very comfortable beds, but it lacks any sort of defining personality — something that really provides the edge in hotels these days.

Excellent location right in the heart of downtown Chicago, only a couple blocks from Sears Tower on one side and Millennium Park on the other side. Easy bus to Lincoln Park Zoo (# 156), and short walk to catch the buses to the other museums. Suites are spacious, quiet, and the bathrooms are huge. Free hot breakfast is a huge plus. Waffles, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and plenty of coffee.

Was upgraded to a suite due to being overbooked. Room was very nice and updated. Fitness center was nicer for a smaller hotel. Good food, good drinks. Will definitely stay here again!

Pros: — room was spacious, clean, and nice — staff was courteous, helpful, and very polite — comfortable and cozy beds — free breakfast! Good amount of food to choose from. — kitchen, plates, utensils, etc. At your disposal. Cons: — no parking. You have to park at a self parking lot and walk over to the hotel — somewhat hard to find and easy to miss — check in is on the second floor — semi slow wait for elevators despite there being like 6 elevators I'd recommend this place to stay if you are okay with the general area of where it's at.

I enjoyed my time there. Great staff and good food. The only trouble I experienced was when I was leaving to check put the elevator stopped on every floor, even if people weren't there. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

We stayed at the Residence Inn for a family wedding. Every aspect of the hotel was outstanding! The rooms were extremely clean. Every staff member, including front desk staff, security, and breakfast staff, was professional and efficient, yet laid back and friendly. On the day of our reservation, my sisters dog died and she was not able to attend the wedding. The manager on duty was gracious enough to not charge my sister for the room she had previously reserved, and offered her condolences to my sister on the loss of her pet. To me, the manager went above and beyond in the area of customer service, and we are so grateful for her kindness!

The suites are amazing — we were in the Bell Tower which means very high up — great views of Chicago — my only disappointment was the breakfast was very "Pre-made" — we are quite picky with food quality only the best so it's hard to give a 5 except for 5 star hotels.

Although this hotel isn't right in the hub of tourist activity, it's really close to attractions like Willis Tower and Millennium Park, and close to buses that will go to Museum Campus, Magnificent Mile, and the Museum of Science and Industry. All rooms at this hotel have a kitchen with full fridge, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and two-burner stove top. Our one-bedroom room had 2 queen beds plus a pullout sofa with a sliding door between the bedroom and living area. We also had a walkthrough closet. The bathroom had a nice shower, two sinks, and toilet with a separate door. We loved how quiet this hotel was. We hardly heard noise from the hallway, and never heard slamming doors from nearby rooms or rooms above or below us. The breakfast buffet was well-appointed with mini waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, breads, cereal, oatmeal, juices and coffee, and lots of fixings.

BRAVO! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were modern, well equipped and spacious. The continental breakfast was outstanding. Very competitively priced for downtown Chicago. Great location. Definitely will stay again!

Great accommodations. Comfortable bed, lots of room, and nice amenities in the kitchen. The radio in my room didn't work, it wouldn't connect via Bluetooth, and there wasn't construction outside but that's not the hotels fault. Outstanding location, decent restaurant, and a bar on premises.

Gorgeous room and bathroom. Very spacious and nice! The continental breakfast was surpringly very good, as well. Much nicer than every other Residence Inn I've stayed at, but that is to be expected with it being in downtown Chicago.

This centrally located hotel has lovely accommodations. The staff was responsive and helpful. Rooms are set up for ease of extended stays, and contain furnished kitchens. The room was clean.

The hotel was an easy walk to Hamilton, the Art Institute and the stores on Michigan Avenue. A few blocks away were the subway stops that go straight to O'Hare and Midway. The staff were very responsive and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Love this hotel. Great rooms with super comfortable beds, big HD TV and an excellent shower. There's a nice bar on the second floor which offers surprisingly good food (but there's no room service). If you are offered a room in the clock tower decline, the rooms are smaller and it takes two elevators and a long walk through a corridor to get there. Otherwise, first-class.

Amazing stay! When I checked in, the concierge said, "since it's your first time staying with us, we'll hook you up". Had no idea what I was in for. 32nd floor views out of two sides of the building. Full kitchen and utensils. Lobby breakfast was the best free continental I've seen. 42 inch smart tv. Everything was very nice & new. Great location in the loop. Friends were very impressed. I'll have no problems booking w/ Residence again Alan.

Love the service! Exceptional staff, great rooms, spacious and minimal. Big TV that can link to your personal Netflix and Hulu accounts! Working small kitchen with fridge. Best part breakfast is included, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, French toast, the works, all you can eat with to go boxes of you need to going.

Everything was remarkable, we were in town celebrate a birthday weekend and Ahkeem and Kyle were extremely helpful and professional. The continental breakfast was simply well done. The room was gorgeous and left our native guests speechless and was more than we could imagined. This was definitely an experience to remember and we will be back.

Great location, tremendous staff that really know how to take care of their customers. Rooms are new, clean, modern and very functional. Within walking distance of several El Stations. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Could go on and on about this hotel… I highly recommend a stay here.
