Attended a vow renewal ceremony today 7/22/22. Expected to park at the hotel but upon arriving was told it was full. Very disappointing! The nice valet guy said the nearest lot was a 5 minute walk away! Sir! Do you know where we are? This is downtown New Orleans. I love my city but do NOT want to walk alone and dressed up in heels that far away. Ended up paying $39.00 to park! Loved the rooms where the ceremony and reception were. Beautiful hotel.

From my husbands police report. Edit: Shania, the night shift manager on Saturday night, is awesome. We talked about the situation and she was very sincere. Departed hotel room at 0830 to attend breakfast and military seminar. Le! the Smith and Wesson. 40 caliber handgun on the nightstand closest to the window. Went on break at 1000, went to hotel room restroom, no changes weapon was still on the nightstand. Departed the room around 1010, attended next meeting until 1230. Arrived at room and noticed housekeeping had made the bed, and replaced the towels. My wife asked if the weapon was still on the table, and it wasn’t. We searched every drawer, closet, and safe in the room, along with our bags to ensure the cleaning sta didn’t move it while cleaning. The weapon was never found. I immediately called the front desk around 1240. They notified security and the head of housekeeping. The security oicer arrived around 1255. He scanned the door’s digital lock and stated only housekeeping and myself entered the room. At 1330, the hotel manager contacted me via cell phone and stated the hotel policy was that if there was a weapon in the room, the house keeper was required to notify management and not clean the room and The housekeeper stated there was no weapon when she arrived. I hung up with him, and proceeded to call corporate and initiate an incident report. They told me to file a police report before they could search the employees. As of 1635, the weapons has not shown up.

Check in staff are extremely rude. We were yelled at our entire stay when just trying to pass through the lobby to get outside or walk to the elevators. This chain has be owned by German nazis.

My wife and I always feel so welcomed when we arrive at the Doubletree. The staff has always made us feel like they are glad to see us. We have stayed here more than 10 times over the past several years and refuse to stay anywhere else when we come to New Orleans. I recommend the Doubletree because of the most welcoming and accommodating staff, the great location and the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in.

The staff immediately texted me soon as I checked in and was in my room to make sure I was satisfied. I was very happy and pleased about that. Everytime I come to New Orleans this is where I'm going to stay. It's right around everything, food casino, shopping. I love it.

During Covid-19 and especially with what we seen with Hilton CleanStay online the cleanliness of this room was the worst experience out of over 50 hotel rooms we've been in. Dust packed air filter looks as if it hasn't been changed in 6 months at least, disgusting tampon wrappers on floor, cookie crumbs on carpet, musty sheets smelled like they haven't been cleaned in 3months, and worst of all my pregnant girlfriend goes to the bathroom to find skin chunks or Feet Calluses stuck to her foot which we seen all over the floors with the light from morning coming through the window.
This is definitely not ok and unsanitary ruined our experience.

Nice rooms, very convenient location — walking distance from many historic places and things to see. Nice Bar and Grill and very good breakfast selection. But, the crown jewel here is the staff. Everyone I interacted with — and I was here for a full week on business — was amazing. From the front desk (whom you can text if you need anything) to the extremely helpful concierge who can direct you to places to see, things to eat, etc. Just a very good experience all around.

Was not the cleanest hotel. The room had a very musty smell when I first walked in. Shower curtain had stains on it. Very disappointed.

I’ve been charged $845 for one night of valet parking without authorization… obviously. The funny thing is that when I called to inform them that they made a mistake, they said they could not refund my money until my friend called to authorize her card to be used to pay for her room and that was in her name. I had given them my debit card not credit card so this has come out of my checking account for valet parking. However, they have charged my debit card 3 times without my authorization.

It's very nice and clean. The staff are eager to help whenever needed. The beds are a dream. I would give them a rating of a 10 out of 10.

Hotel was nice and clean, breakfast was subpar and the waitress was rude. Valet parking only and is $44.00 not to mention they lost our car for over 2 hours. Hotel contracts out the valet service so don’t expect any help from them.

Besides the fresh just right made cookies … the location where it sits (depending on your events). And the friendly staff especially the morning shift housekeeping.

This was a very nice hotel and we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The one complaint I would have is that I had requested a rate for the "Taste of New Orleans" package which included half price Valet parking as well as discounts in the area for some businesses. Well I got neither of those. The Valet parking was reduced to the correct rate AFTER being charged the full rate on my credit card and I let them know (I realized this on the day I was checking out). I never got the discounts for the local businesses. I feel that the people at the front desk should know what rates I should be charged and present me with any additional coupons or discounts I should have received. I would have rated 4 — 5 stars if that would have happened.

Loving our stay so far… the view we have is so nice… the room is nice and the beds are so comfy… plus it’s right across the street from the Harrahs… I would highly recommend this hotel… everything is in walking distance.

DO NOT USE THE VALET SERVICE! The hotel itself was good and the hotel staff was excellent but I had a watch stolen out of my Jeep while parked in the "secure" valet lot. There were no broken windows so either one of the valets took it or they didn't lock my vehicle. Either way, I have been informed by AceParking that they are not responsible for personal items stolen even if it is one of their employees. I personally will never stay here again.

This hotel was wonderful. The room was great with a beautiful view of the city even if we faced away from the night life. The hotel was clean and very inviting and the staff was so amazingly helpful even at 3 in the morning. They also checked in on me everyday via text message to see how things were or if I needed anything. The only thing that bothered me was the amount for parking cost. I have stayed at 2 other hotels in the French Quarter and one of them was half the price.

The location is perfect for access to the city. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are decent in size, but the two times I’ve stayed here I’ve found the rooms aren’t cleaned too well. Both times I’ve seen clumps of hair around the sink and on the floors. Also stay away from room service, unless you don’t mind cold food.

We checked into a king size room pretty seamlessly. Hotel is well maintained and clean. Room is the same. Beautiful view with a friendly staff. Just a couple blocks from french quarter so no noise but fantastic location. We got some great cookies at check in, as is the DoubleTree way. Very pleased.

Let’s start with the $40 a Day valet parking. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes for your car. Then try dealing with the congestion at valet. Housekeeping is unreliable. Totally missed my suite one day. Other days I had to call to get late service from housekeeping. Three times I notified maintenance about a air conditioning unit that rattled so loudly I couldn’t sleep. Each time it was a temporary fix. With the exception of the front desk, the service was lacking. A sign of poor or no customer service training. A good location and no other reason to select this hotel.

The room was rather small. But they set it up very well. The refrigerator was very quiet and you had a lot of storage space. The bathroom is also small. But it has a nice shower and also a lot of storage space. So you still have good space in the small room. The staff is very friendly and the location of the hotel is great. The price-/performance ratio is fine.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Beautiful entrance with a friendly staff that was speedy and assisted any way possible. The breakfast was great. Definitely coming back!

Although very comfortable there were a few things that made me deduct a star. There was a tiny bit of mold in the shower in the corner. The ice machines had towels thrown under them due to a leak. I believe they were the same towels used in the rooms. Kind of leaves a bad impression. Overall, the hotel is nice. Good location for easy access to convention center, malls, casino, and French quarter. I would stay again. For the price this is a very nice hotel.

After careful deliberation we had booked this hotel. After a good experience at another Hilton hotel, we decided to become HHonors member to avail points on our stay. This stay was off the same standards as the one we stayed at Chicago. The staff were super nice. Being a Honors member, we were given cookies as a welcome snack. The cookies were good! We would leave the room in a mess in the morning and by the time we came back, it would look like how it was the first time we came in. This hotel is aptly situated in a way you can get to French Quarter with ease on foot. Will stay here again and super staff!

Everything at the hotel matched my expectations. Nothing spectacularly worse or better than you would expect from a similar hotel. Well within walking distance to many interesting things in New Orleans including the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and many fine restaurants. No complaints, would stay again if the situation was right.

An incredibly modern well appointed hotel in central location. Fresh cookies provided at check in and when asked. The room was comfortable and clean. Employees were friendly and accommodating, notifying us as soon as room was ready. Will choose this hotel on our next visit there.

Stayed for 3 nights and had a blast! Staff was amazing and our room had an amazing view! Ms. Liz at the wow cafe bar was awesome. She was quick and spot on with everything! Loved getting to chat with her. I will always recommend you stay at this Hilton!

Clean spacious room and friendly staff. As soon as I got to my room I received a text asking if my room was OK and if I needed anything. Great service! The hotel is also in a great location within walking distance to tons of great restaurants and stores. Check-out is easy. No waiting in long lines. You can check-out on your phone and drop your key in a box near the front desk. And you get a warm delicious cookie when you check in.

We had a good view in our room. We arrived early and did not have to wait for an available room. The chocolate chip cookie is delicious that is given upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable. All of the employees were very helpful, polite and professional.

I had such high hopes for my stay at this hotel. From the entrance to check in with the warm chocolate cookie, I was like YES! This is going to be a great stay, then once my head hit the pillow all I could hear was the guys conversation in the next room like he was sitting right next to me. Finally he would stop talking and I would fall asleep then all the sudden I would be woken up to what I thought was our door being open. Nope it was next door. This went on for what seemed like forever. Then all of the sudden it was morning and he was at it again. I don't think I will stay here again.

Perfectly located close to the French Quarter, easily walked there daily, and just an overall great property. The staff was so friendly I'd go back just for that… I'm not kidding, they were exceptionally helpful and accommodating, especially with my toddler and infant on their first trip. I wish I could compliment 3 individuals by name, but I lost the card they wrote it on (I remember one girl had a distinctly unique spelling-she was awesome! ) ; that said, they know who they are, and their friendliness, caring, knowledge and attentiveness made me feel like friends/family. I was concerned about "noise" that other viewers mentioned, but we didn't experience any of the street noise and while there was "elevator noise", it was minimal (we only 1 room away) and such a non-factor that neither my light-sleeping toddler nor infant were woken. All-in-all, if/when we return to New Orleans, I will be starting at this Double Tree again.

The room was really good. Clean and inviting. The staff is friendly. Room service was really fast and the food was very good. Close to shopping and trolley transportation. A really great location. Mother's diner is just around the corner. Access to some of the great tours are nearby. The cookie given at check in was a nice touch. I felt very safe and comfortable here. My only complaints are that the noise from the elevators could be heard from several rooms away. Also, be aware that there is no parking on-site so the valet parking service can take awhile. You have to pay for parking at any of the downtown hotels, so take this into account for your budget. The fees can range from $25 to $55 dollars a day. Here it was $40 a day. I still rate this place very high and would not stay anywhere else when coming down to New Orleans.

Nice hotel in a really amazing location. It’s within walking distance of nearly anything touristy you’d want to do in New Orleans — The French Quarter, ghost & swamp tours, an aquarium, a casino, Bourbon Street. Also lots of great restaurants nearby; I highly recommend Mother’s Diner. The hotel also has a rooftop pool, which was very nice. Friendly, helpful staff and clean, quiet rooms with comfortable pillows and good water pressure.

Excellent service, clean rooms, beautiful atmosphere. When we arrived, there was a Christmas tree in the lobby and after checking in we received a warm chocolate chip cookie. Really nice! Rooms are big enough and the beds are comfortable.

Staff, room, and service was good. My BIG issue was the fact that there wasn't parking for customers. The only option for hotel parking was valet which charged $40 a night. Many of use are Hilton Honors members. Parking alone almost doubled our rate per night. Unfortunately myself, my family, my friends, and everyone else who stayed at the hotel will not be returning.

Our clients — like comedian Annie Lockwood — perform in cities like New Orleans and sometimes need a little respite from the excitement of a big city, but want to keep all the comforts. This place has just that, with a great restaurant/bar on-site as well as a pool and perfect bedrooms. It's right on the edge of the French Quarter too, so if you still want to take a stroll and see some of the sites it's a very nice little walk! The location for this DoubleTree was fantastic: close to everything but quiet (except for the elevator). Our room was right next to the elevator which I expected to hear a lot of foot traffic but all I heard was the elevator mechanisms. I would have changed rooms if I hadn't brought ear plugs and if it had bothered my partner. I loved that this room had a make up mirror! It made my life so much easier! The texting service they provide was a nice touch too!

Excellent staff, room, location, and food. It just happens that I’m usually out of town around my birthday, which is OK. But, I’ve never had a hotel staff surprise me with my own little birthday celebration including champagne on ice, chocolate dipped strawberries, and a beautiful card signed by 10 of the staff all wishing me a great birthday. Go Doubletree! This is extreme customer service way above and beyond. Thank you all, and thank you Paige. You have a great birthday too!

Great location. Very nice hotel entrance. Rooms were very nice, clean, but small. Bathrooms were small and outdated. Was an above average hotel, staff is very nice.

This stay has made me realize that apparently my standards for a hotel are a lot higher than I thought they were. To start with, I'm sharing a room with my parents for a business event and they requested a rollaway bed weeks in advance, but the hotel wasn't able to guarantee it until the day of. I'm not sure if that's normal, but it seems like with that sort of advance notice, something could be worked out before the day we checked in. That's really minute stuff compared to the rest of the stay. Apparently some of the rooms have an issue with doors not really shuttling behind you unless you pull them closed, and after a long day of driving we went to bed and forgot to put the latch down on the door, which we usually do. Somebody came into our room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping and stole my mom's purse and my dad's jeans with his wallet in the pocket. The next day security found my mom's purse and my dad's jeans in the stairwell, of course with the wallets missing. Obviously we should have locked the door before we went to bed, but I've never stayed at a hotel where the doors didn't have the heavy hinges that at least make sure the door shuts all the way. And I'm grateful nobody woke up while the person was in our room, that could have been really awful. Anyway it's hard for something like that not to color the rest of your visit. Hopefully they're also able to get a better handle on who's coming in and out of the hotel at some point.

Stayed here a few times but never offered or had available the penthouse Suite at the top floor which, cover's the whole floor. So there were definitely downfalls to this room at the rate which a little extreme considering there was no Fridge or mini bar in the room. R The shower did not work in the second bedroom. The sound system in the living room area was a mess of wires when checked in and I'm sure still is. No one ever called my room or to see if I needed services or house keeping. Don't get me wrong, the staff are cool and maybe just a little too laid back or I dunno. Now the food service and restaurant team are extremely accommodating by bringing ice and looking into thing's for me. Otherwise, greatest features for $1000 plus tax a night were: Baby Grand piano, jacuzzi tub, awesome 360 view of New Orleans, personal sauna, spacious and great lighting and ventilation.

Our clients performing in cities like New Orleans sometimes need a little respite from the excitement of a big city, but want to keep all the comforts. This place has just that, with a great restaurant/bar on-site as well as a pool and perfect bedrooms. Hotel we nice but the real stars are the staff. Front desk was super friendly and the concierge was very helpful and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. Speaking of which, the restaurant in the hotel was great and Micheal behind the bar was pretty great.

The room was a little small, it was tight getting in the door, and the bathroom fan was really loud. However, the room was very nice and the staff members were all friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect.

The front desk person asked us if we wanted a smoking room in this hotel property giving us the full impression we booked a smoking room. The Following day after being out on our vacation, they blocked us out of the room and said we owed a 300$ smoking fee for the hotel because it was a nonsmoking hotel. I explained what the front desk person said to us by name to management and was told that it would be corrected internally but even ad a Hilton Honors member, there was nothing they can do. The worst customer service I've experienced even after explaining the price of the charge was almost the price of the room. Even security thought the situation wad utterly ridiculous and unaginst hospitality standards.

This is the only hotel in New Orleans at which I have ever Stayed. I would say I have stayed here on 4 different occasions in the last 6 years. They always have great service and clean rooms. The location is fantastic. I left My car with the hotel and didnt think about it once. Everything you need is walking distance.

It was ok. I have stayed at much nicer places for cheaper. Parking is $47/day and it's not a secure lot. They give you 3 towels/wash cloths/hand towels for a 4 person room (when 4 people were registered for that room), the restaurant wasn't busy but was an hour wait on food due to room service. The restaurant food and service was subpar, and expensive. The bathroom was tiny. The toiletries provided weren't great. Overall I wasn't impressed with anything but the location. It's in a great location, central to everything.

This will be the only hotel I stay at when I come and visit New Orleans! Loved the atmosphere great service from the desk clerk to housekeeping. And my room was fantastic opening up to the pool. We both the Doubletree specifically for the outside pool. The pool was very cloudy and you couldn't even see your legs underneath the water. They're only three lounge chairs. When we did check in the employees did not seem thrilled to see us at all. We did get help from two bellmen were very nice. And a gentleman at the front desk during the night shift help desk. He was a younger man very nice. And he submitted a request to the manager to reimburse us a couple of nights. We did not hear back the next day about the outcome of that. So we went back to the front desk and a lady there said she would give it to her manager that morning when he came in. The manager was very nice and handled the entire situation with respect and concern. The room was okay as in cleanliness. I would prefer them to use them off on the tile floor. And the maid was very helpful with extra towels. The buffet was very good. And there's a coffee shop which was okay. If all you want was a coffee and a muffin. Overall when I stay here again? It is a good location. I would probably try it again. I have stayed at worse and I have stayed at better. I am just very happy that the manager did in fact reimburse us a couple of nights and was very polite and well-mannered. I just wish customer service was more consistent and more positive attitudes from everybody would be nice.

The DoubleTree in New Orleans is not even worth one star. We stayed at the hotel about a MONTH ago. During which, check in lasted us about 20 minutes because the girl at the front desk could not figure out how to charge 2 cards (split in half) for the room we were staying in. Once it was all figured out, or so we thought. We went up to our room. The room was mediocre. The cleaning crew and concierge were great. So I will definitely say that. But after our stay was when the real issues started. My friend and I were both charged the full cost of the room. And it has taken 3 weeks, countless phone calls, emails and and attempts to reconcile the situation. Today, I called their billing/finance department and had a complete unprofessional experience. They are not knowledgeable, prepared, hospitable or pleasant to speak to. One woman even told me "it's 8 AM and you are screaming in my ear. It's too early for this" when in reality it shouldn't matter what time it is and I was not screaming. I was speaking to her because before that point I didn't realize just how UNPROFESSIONAL she really was. I called a second time and talked to a woman who argued with me and did nothing to rectify the problem. In short, I will NEVER stay with DoubleTree again and I will make sure that everyone I know and everyone I can possibly reach out to does the same. Thanks for nothing, DoubleTree. advisory: do not stay at this hotel.

Location is great, staff is good, rooms are very old and outdated. It is a functional building for sleeping in if you get it at a reasonable price (125 corporate rate). Probably wouldn't come again.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in life. The staff was very polite at the front desk. The valet parking was very rude and he didn't acknowledge me at all… I stood out there for about ten minutes before he even came over too acknowledge me. The room was very dated and it has a very strong molded smell. I wouldn't dare bring my dog here because she might end up sick.

Great location, great staff, terrible rooms. Dark, visible cracks in walls/tub, outdated and worn furniture… Wasn't expecting a 5-star stay but I've never seen a hotel so run down for the price we paid.

I actually didnt stay here. I just walked in to use the lobby restroom. In the time I was there I observed great customer service, friendly staff. They also have a really clean lobby and restrooms. If I ever plan a staycation I'll be staying at the Doubletree.

Decent location to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Staff was very friendly when we needed first aid care. However when we called for more towels because our room hadn't been restocked, we didn't receive any. We had to go down to the desk after waiting 45 minutes and get them to hand them to us, which wouldn't have been a problem, but we were told they would be delivered.

Very nice hotel within short walking distance to bourbon street. It has a good breakfast and a nice bar.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful during a crazy New Years weekend. They worked their magic and we ended up with a perfect room with a beautiful view. The concierge and the valet parking staff were all very professional, polite and quick.

Ok my room was great 7th floor and my bathroom I could iron in it. The AC or heat worked great. The place was so close to everything. The staff was great. For the price it was great.

Nice location and plenty to do, it's a Hilton property. Valet charged me 3 times 2 days in a row but they fixed it quickly.

Paid 230 a night to stay at this location. The rooms are small, parking is about 40 per night, and rooms are small. The room I had mold in it and you could hear every door open and close. People shouting in the hall and threatening violence to other guest of the front desk were called on them. If your expectations are of Hilton quality don't stay at this location. It should be called the double tree motel rather than hotel. The TV in our room only worked for one hour the whole time we were there. Poor room, poor service, poor amenities equals one star rating. It almost felt like I was staying in a hostel. You will see what I mean if you ever decide to stay there. I would not recommend staying at this location. I contacted the hotel via Hilton website and was told I was going to be contacted by the hotel in 3 days but that never happened. Just goes to show how much the staff at that hotel cares.

The location was great but the rooms were a little small. (which is fine since we didn't hang out in the room much, but a little expensive just for a place to crash)

Great location. Nice hotel. Only negative is the cost to park a car. About $40 a night. But I suppose you can expect that from any hotel in this area.

If you're expecting Hilton quality, look down the street at the Hilton. This was, by far, the worst stay I've had at one of their properties. As an HHonors member for the fifth consecutive year, I expected MUCH more. The staff at the front desk were pleasant enough upon entering the hotel, but that's where it stops. Housekeeping is loud in the morning, and the wait-staff at breakfast was rude when I presented them with my breakfast vouchers. Breakfast — EXPENSIVE. HHonors members are given a voucher with a $10 value. The voucher can be used for the continental breakfast or toward your total at PJ's. The continental breakfast was dismal. The granola bowl was empty two days in a row, and the milk, yogurt, and hard-boiled eggs sit out on the counter. If a guest wishes to eat from the hot breakfast buffet, the cost is $18. The best option is to order from the menu and pay the difference. Don't think you're going to get a breakfast fit for a human being by using the voucher alone. Rooms — The rooms are poorly designed and outdated. The bathrooms have a toilet similar to one you'd find in a public restroom (no tank, just a hefty handle) and no ventilation system. The sconces are nice and rusted as a result. The sinks are unusually low. Mine barely reached the top of my thigh, and I'm 5'4". The feather pillows are thin and have an odor, most likely from not being dried thoroughly. I highly recommend bringing your own if you want to sleep comfortably.

So sick and tired of reading complaints from other guests, at any hotel, regarding how expensive a room is. Get a clue! You are told the price of the room when you book it and you can choose either to buy it or not. REALLY? Hotels post charges up front on there websites. I. E. Parking, Wifi, … It is not the hotels fault that you don't take the time to read before you make the reservation. Educate yourself before you travel and realize that big tourist cities like New Orleans is going to be more expensive. I have been coming here since 2005 and yes, prices have risen. DUH! Try going on the same internet that you complain on and find out what other places charge. Now, as far as being rude and unhelpful, NO EXCUSES! The guests may be horrible to deal with but that is part of the job and yes I know a lot of the times it is perception or if the guest doesn't get comped stays for the rest of there life then you are "rude" but I have noticed the same careless attitude, at times, in the service industry in New Orleans. I may be confusing it with just the slower pace than in other areas though. Everyone needs to remember that guest service is done by human beings and nobody is perfect. Be nice to them and they will be nice to you. If not, be nicer and show them how it is done as being rude will only make things worse.

The staff gets a five, but the hotel a 3. Rooms was very SMALL, had to close the bathroom door, in order to use the bathroom. I can hear the conservation they next roon was having. The pool little and had to ask the maint. Man can someone clear the pool. The next day it was done. To be a hilton honor member, I was looking for a better hotel compared to other double trees I have stayed in! Time to remodel.

I loved the veiw. The staff was amazing! I was just happy they accomadated me on such short notice.

The room was fine, clean, location is great. I wish that it had a safe to store belongings in. While they have a safe by the front desk, you have to go down there and wait for someone to help you when there's a line. The bellhop Seth Haydel was the best part of our stay! He did an amazing job. The maids outside our room were loud in the morning talking to each other and we don't understand why the hotel put us in a room near the elevator and maid's closet if the hotel wasn't full.

First off the five stars are for Brittany at the front desk. She was extremely professional and courteous. She made sure everything was up to par. My wife and I visited this property for her 50th birthday. I ordered a cake and Champagne to be delivered as a surprise. The cake and champagne didn't arrive on time so I called Brittany. She personally made sure that the cake and champagne arrived at our room. Everytime you walk past the front desk she asked if everything was okay. Then she said if you need anything feel free to let me know. Now as far as the property I love the location right across the street from Harrahs casino and right across the street from the Riverwalk. Away from he Bourbon Street hustle and noise, but close enough to go there whenever we wanted to take a little stroll. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. Housekeeping was extremely noisy and started early. All and all this is a nice place. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Borderline okay hotel. Bed is fine enough, AC is usual US noise level. Bathroom room is extremely inconvenient, and there are signs of rust in places. There were a largish group of us, and most found desk/chair combination bad for using laptop — the chair's too low no matter how you adjust it. Also, the hotel is not very clean, floor sticks where it's stone, and is clearly dirty where it's carpet. Also, this is double-charge hotel, they neglect to use your initial credit card authorization on checkout, leaving it hanging around until bank clears it.

I recently stayed here for a conference. The staff were all pleasant but the facility itself leaves much to be desired. When I first entered my room it was damp; I took off my shoes and the carpet squished beneath my feet. Thankfully the staff provided me with a dehumidifier and that helped a lot with the humidity level in the air, but it certainly didn't fix the black mold colonies growing around the window and on the ceiling. The other major grip I have is with the bathrooms. The pipes are poorly insulated and rattle loudly. This may not sound like a big problem, but every time someone in a nearby room took a shower, it sounded like a jackhammer in my bathroom. Showers started at 6:00 and continued until 8:30. So much for sleeping. When it came time to take my own shower, the hot water was very unreliable. For a similar price, you should stay at the Hyatt place. I expect these problems in an $80 hotel, not when I'm paying more than twice that.

Thus the very excellent truth in that city.

Staff were easily the worst hotel staff of any hotel i've stayed at in the world. They were not accommodating and even told me to move on from the hotel lobby whilst I was waiting for a friend to show up, even after I told them I was a guest of the hotel. Needed valet and they sent me to another hotel which charged me $75 a night and did not offer me an alternative. Would NEVER stay at this hotel EVER again.

On a business trip. The staff was very attentive and the room was nice and clean. The location is fantastic as far as getting around. Although, downtown New Orleans you can walk your way anywhere.

Just terrible. I am a Hilton Honors member. When we checked in, there was no shampoo or tissue paper; only 2 bath towels; and no in-room safe. Additionally, you have to pay for in-room Wifi. On the next day, they did not restock the creamer or artificial sweetener for the coffee. I had to go to P. J. 's coffee shop on the first floor. Imagine how they will treat non-Hilton Honors members! Even the cookies were cold.

How ridiculous it is to pay $249 plus tax per night and you don't even get free Wi-Fi? Yes! They make you pay. (oh and not even free light breakfast for that much money) all you get: a plain room, nothing special. I stayed 5 nights unfortunately there's was no other hotel available in the area. Very Disappointed.

Great room, great view and walking distance to everything. Very helpful staff and a great night all around on the book tour. Good elevators too, The kind you actually feel safe in.

Do yourself a favor; go some place else. It seems the Hilton Hotel administration have decided to bank on the Hilton name, and get as much mile as they can without investing on maintenance, repair or renovation. We have had the same experience in this hotel that we had in another Hilton hotel in Clearwater Florida, last November. To begin, we are still waiting for a towel we asked for yesterday, after we first came into our room. We already contacted them 5 times about the issue. The beds in the room are like hammocks. I do like soft beds, but this is ridiculous. It seems the hotel still has the same mattresses. They had, when it first opened. We asked to change rooms, but they told us all the beds in the hotel are in the same condition. They offered to place a board between the box spring and the mattress, which is something they are accustomed to offer to accommodate previous complaints, but our backs are still in pain, after they place the board. The room is very humid, and I can put up with humidity; I live in Florida. The condition of this very small room is poor. You find better room on any of the exits on I-95. Stay away.
