What a wonderful experience! The place was gorgeous, clean, tidy, and so charming! It felt so wonderful to escape for a little bit, and what a great spot to do it! We actually managed to book on a night no one was there! We had the whole place to ourselves! The bed was comfy, the sheets clean, the towels huge and soft, and the bathroom was spotless! The view from the Lavender room was gorgeous during sunrise. We were served a delicious, filling breakfast! And our hostess was so sweet and welcoming, we loved getting to chat with her! Wish we could have stayed longer. One night was just too short! I'm hoping to come back really soon! 10/10❤❤

This place is amazing! My best friend and I came here because our power went out during the storm. We have throughly enjoyed our stay! This place is very dog friendly! Our dogs loved it here! The staff made me feel right at home! They accommodated my every need! The breakfast is to die for! I felt like royalty here! They get a 10/10 in my book!

I loved my visit here! My friend and I stayed a night here after hurricane Laura. We booked a room the same day. The staff were super friendly and made you feel right at home. The rooms and mansion are BEAUTIFUL! They are also dog friendly which is great bc my friend and I each have a dog. I will definitely be back for another stay. 10/10.

We stayed overnight for Nee Years Eve. The place was quiet, comfortable, immaculate and BEAUTIFUL! And I loved the deep bathtub! Definitely recommend!

What a beautiful venue for your private events and wedding day. The staff is very attentive and easy to work with and as a caterer the staff of the venue can make the difference from okay to great on your food.

Stunning property that will comfort and amaze. Wonderful hospitality and staff! We stayed here twice and each time it was perfection. This mega-mansion B&B deserves a 10 plus rating along with a few Michelin stars. Best kept secret in Louisiana.

My boyfriend and I visited The Mansion At Red Hill for a short weekend in the summer. I don't think we could possibly express how wonderful our stay was, but I'll start by noting that the house is absolutely breathtaking. We asked for a late arrival, which is not the norm for our hostess, but she met us with a warm smile and made sure we had everything we needed. She is an excellent cook and served us a delicious breakfast both mornings. It was a pleasure chatting with her over coffee and learning about a few good places to eat and activities around the small town. Our room was very clean, spacious, and decorated very well. The bed was marvelous! We highly recommend staying here if you are interested in visiting the earth mounds built by the ancient people of Poverty Point, or if you are just looking for a peaceful get away in a small country town. We can't wait to go back!

A true mansion. The rooms are wonderful, as are the grounds. The hostess is super friendly and an excellent cook. You will be pampered. This is my second time staying there and plan on going back every year until I've stayed in every room. For the life of me, I can't understand why this place is not booked solid every day.

I’ve driven by several times but for the first time attended an event yesterday. The wedding was beautiful but the setting made it magnificent! A lovely place that truly warms your heart and exudes southern charm. I highly recommend this venue.

It was one of the rainy-est days in Dec 2016 but Eva made sure the mansion was filled with holiday cheer. Truly appreciate what you did for the Middlebrooks. We highly recommend.

Our family stayed at the Mansion at Red Hill with our 2 kids. Eva, the innkeeper, gave us a tour and showed us to our room, the master suite. It was incredibly spacious, and the bed was so soft. We had a great night's sleep on it. After getting settled in our room, we had a tea party on the veranda, which our kids were excited about, with a few delicious treats to go along with the tea. We had great conversation around the table and Eva gave us some great suggestions for pla…ces to eat for dinner that night. After an incredibly comfortable night's sleep, we awoke to the smell of an omelette on the breakfast table accompanied with bacon, fruit, juices, potatoes, and water. It was a very energizing meal for our day at Poverty Point, which is only about 15 minutes away. Eva made sure that we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable. We had the entire house to ourselves, so we checked out the other rooms, and they looked just as comfortable with their own private baths with a robe and pair of slippers to help you relax. The grounds at the mansion are gorgeous and I took some fantastic pictures at night and during the sunrise and sunset. This is a great place for anyone looking for a photo shoot in luxury. It also is a great place for any event that you might want to have in this type of setting. Over all, we had a great time here, and would love to return.

Great place, great hosts, great breakfast — fantastic stay! We absolutely recommend this place!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our 4 year anniversary. We were looking for a place to "get away" and this ended up being the perfect choice. We stayed in the Lavender room which featured a king sized bed, balcony, and a very spacious closet and bath. The host, Eva Dawson, could not have been more accommodating. She cooked a wonderful breakfast and even joined us for a cup of coffee. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Be sure to check out the nearby Safari Park and Poverty Point!
