I liked the room I received. The place was clean quiet and staff friendly.

Yeah it's cheap at first for some people but when I come the rent goes up that's really messed up and a lot of Beggars out there asking you for cigarettes money even disrespectfully ask me if I sell my you know what : — (so no it's not good especially not good for children I don't recommend it and the people are very very nosey no privacy and rude always staring makes you feel very uncomfortable.

Gave it 3 stars. Its nice and cheap. So far nothing bad has happend. The people are really nice. Its mostly the area the motel is in. Seems like people come up and ask for money sometimes.

There's thieves… cockroaches.

The picture, s there showing is bs. The bed sheets stink, don't vacuum the floor. And I been here a week. Yes I showed my company this.

It was very crowded and a lot of staff bugs.

It is good to take a one night stand there or construction workers.

This is the best place to stay if your in the Baton Rouge area. Very close to the downtown area. Very close to a Sonic Drive-In and a Wendy's. The room was very clean and the service is more than 4 stars. If I ever go back to Baton Rouge area, I'm staying right here.

This is a very clean hotel. Comfortable beds. I have stayed here probably 9 times and have never had a problem. Close to restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend it and it is a great value. I travel with work about 260 days a year and wish I could find more hotels like this. Its an older moter lodge but kept up very well.

This is a place that is just as good as home. Very genuine friendly people who remember your name and treat you like you are part of their family. This motel is BETTER than any hotel I have ever been to and I will continue to go to this hotel anytime I need to stay in Baton Rouge.

My wife and I have lived across America and stayed at many motels, but I must say that this is our favorite! The only bad thing that we can say about The Shades Motel is that they are not a national chain. I wish that everywhere we travel there could be a Shades Motel waiting on us. Ken Goad.
