The room was great and the food tasted amazing as well. But, our family stopped by the gym and there were five of us and only four machines, there was no weights to lift, and it is like a Sana inside there, the temperature is 100. I would stay at this place again but I wouldn’t use the gym.

A friendly atmosphere a place to go if you want to feel welcome and don't know no one in Baton Rouge very helpful people there.

My room was huge and super clean. The housekeeper assigned to me was very helpful and polite. I was extremely impressed with the breakfast. The food was always hot, continually refilled, and quite tasty.

Its okay. Pulling into the hotel is difficult if your not on the off ramp of the freeway. The mall across the street is great though. The breakfast was mediocre but the coffee provided at breakfast was not very good. The best amenity was the fresh ice cold water with fresh limes or lemons in the lobby.

Lovely place. Extra nice room. Very chic and comfortable. Close to interstate, shopping, restaurants. Rate was good. Definitely will come back.

I prepaid for 2 nights. Non refundable. I had a family emergency and did not show the first night. I showed up the second night and could not have my room. The hotel did offer to let me rent a room, for which they had already received payment, but I had to pay again. This time the room was going to be the same price as my 2 night booking. I did book the room third party, but the hotel was no help. They had their money and I had no room. Not a great adventure at this hotel.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, close to many eateries and shopping! Room was like a mini one bedroom condo, super comfortable, esp the bed! I'd definitely recommend this place to everyone! Very affordable too! I would stay here over and over again.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was great. Room was very clean. I love Hyatt Place hotels. The rooms are always so much like home with the separate sleeping and living space. REAL TILED SHOWERS! These are not shower/tub combinations, which are gross. A++ great hotel.

Great one-bed room, service at the desk was amazing, the breakfast was okay but not terrible, everything was so clean, loved the bathrooms even tho they were small. Amazing place! I would really recommend it!

Great Value! Easily a $179 room for less the $100. Rooms are big and comfy with nice beds! Strong staff and breakfast is tremendous! I travel half the year and I now look for this chain everywhere I go. Wish they had some free weights in the gym (some do) but the exercise room is still nice without! Strong recommend! Tim.

Good place to stay with some awesome restaurants along with the mall right opposite. A suggestion would be do start shuttle services, there are no side walks in the area and to get to a mall which is visible from the hotel we had to Uber it! The staff is great… did help me out with some local information. Would certainly recommend.

Beautiful hotel. Has a bar and restaurant. Friendly staff and very clean. Prices are reasonable and the beds are awesome! Very modern and somewhat trendy.

Place of luxury! "Hotel" sounds too average for such an excellent place to be your temporary home! The rooms were comfy and stylish with plenty of room! (The cozy corner was my favorite lol). The breakfast was amazing. Unlike any continental breakfast selections we have ever had! All staff were very friendly, always eager to please, and always had a smile on their faces while delivering professional service to their guests! They worked diligently to make sure breakfast remained warm, plentiful, and pleasurable to the eyes as well with a sophisticated style.

Great place! Very clean. Spacious and organized rooms. Breakfast or speak very good.
I would change only 2 things
The breakfast time that is not so short
And the reception the girls are not very smiling, they are not faces that give welcome to this place.
But the maids are very attentive and pleasant.
We stayed with our kids so it's perfect for the family.

Cramped lobby. Sheets and towels smelled as if they'd been washed with minimal detergent and no bleach. Doable for one-night stays, though personally, it won't be my first choice. Their breakfast was good and available until 10, which is nice. Once 10 rolled around, the emloyee managing it was super sweet and went around each table asking people whether or not they wanted anything else before she closed up. I thought it kind, especially in comparison to most hotel breakfasts that are quick to put food away, and not so subtly push people out well before time's up.

Love love love this place! Staff is super awesome! I've been staying here for business for about 4 months now, rooms are great, best breakfast ever, and they have a bar that has wine and other beverages, also Starbucks, and a menu that you can order from 24/7! Located directly across the street from the mall. And shared parking lot with Ralph & Kacoos seafood restaurant. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

For the fifth consecutive year we are staying at the Hyatt Place and our experience is excellent. Cozy place, clean, excellent service. Congratulations!

Room was nice. We were huried out at breakfast because apparently it closes at 9:30am. Staff was pretty rude about it. Other than that nice hotel.

The workers were very pleasant and greeted me when I came in for my training event. The space for the training was also very spacious and comfortable.

Very disappointed in the staff at Hyatt. My family and my dog arrived on September 30th, same day LSU PLAYED TROY STATE. The 2 receptionists which were very young and didn't know what they were doing SOLD our room that was specifically reserved because there were 3 adults, 1 child, and my dog (it's pet friendly). I got there early; about 1:30pm (Check in was at 3pm), they said no rooms were clean, but that I should have came early because they let a lot of people already check in. So we left and she said she would call me when our room was available. She never called, so we went back at 2:30 and waited in the lobby. Then both receptionists were looking at us funny. Then one came over and said they didn't have our room requested because they were already booked? How was that possible. They lied and said that the third party we went through to book them had over booked us, which was a lie! Because once a certain type of room is full, it will tell you that that room is no longer available and you can't select it. The Hyatt didn't even try to make it right and they charged my card and I had to argue with them about a refund. We had drove over 6 and a half hours over there only to find out they were selling the rooms first come first serve no matter what type of reservation you had!. Will NEVER EVERY book at any Hyatt ever and that would have been my 1st time. 1st impressions are everything!

Very nice facility. Starbucks coffee available downstairs as well as a good quality breakfast.

Reasonable rate, bacon and egg free breakfast! ants in bathroom, no washcloths, "hot" water at breakfast was cold, sheets on sofa pullout was nasty dirty.

Stayed December 8th 2016 for business meeting for one night only. Absolutely had the best visit/stay at the Hyatt. Mr. Evans and Cody checked me in (they have a great personality, I laughed a lot) and assisted with dining within the area. Ms. Cassandra was extremely nice and helped me with my luggage. The room was nice and clean. After, I was settled into my room, I went out for dinner. When I returned to my room, Ms. Cassandra called to check on me. She asked if I needed anything and wanted to make sure I had a good dinner. I have stayed at many hotels for business and leisure purposes; Hyatt in Baton Rouge has truly been the best stay. The staff is AMAZING! The best customer service by far because they CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! Thank you Mr. Evans, Cody, and Cassandra for the ultimate experience at the Hyatt! I will definitely be back to see you guys! Thanks again! I'm back… August 6th, 2017! Unable to make a new review so I'm adding to my prior review. Darius (Supervisor) and LI'AL and Darius (front desk) are the best! They all were very helpful while checking in, carry in bags, trending bar, and preparing dinner. Friendly and just all around great people! Hoping to come back in December for business! Thanks again for another fabulous stay!

We love staying at Hyatt Place, but this has been my least favorite so far. It was pretty clean, the room was fine, but the breakfast experience was seriously lacking in comparison to others we have stayed at. Food was mediocre, had no forks and had to wait, had no plates and had to wait. Has to get keys remade twice because they didn't work. It is normally such a great experience, but we felt a little let down this time. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Very quiet and spacious rooms. Free breakfast in the mornings. Across the street from the Mall of Louisiana and within close driving distance of many eating and shopping places.

The room was pleasant, although a slight damp odor. The GFCI outlet in the bathroom was damaged and provided no power. The outlets by the TV also were without power. The iron leaked water. The staff were fantastic. They provided us with another iron upon request and were helpful and friendly in all interactions. The gym equipment was modern, clean, and functional (1 elliptical and 3 treadmills). Towels were provided. The breakfast was buffet-style continental. The yogurt was weirdly in a giant self-serve bowl which didn't seem hygienic. It felt as though it were an older hotel with some recent updates. The staff were excellent and we got a great night's sleep.

Amazing decor and amenities. Staff attempted to enter our room unannounced to see if someone was in there at around midnight. Not cool. Pet fee was way to high and should have been disclosed prior to check in.

The hotel room was rather spacious and organized. The location of the hotel is convenient, as there is a mall across the street. The floors could have been better vacuumed, but the room was well stocked stocked with linens and towels.

This place is a ghost town for staff, you'd get better service at a Motel 6. My coworkers and I stayed for a conference that was taking place at LSU. We got two rooms, one of them had a broken AC unit. When we called for an extra blanket at night, we were told "You have to come get it, we have no staff to bring it to you. " We also stayed because of their supposed breakfast amenities. We walked down at 6, no breakfast was set up, there was no one at the desk. We waited fifteen minutes for someone to show up, no one came. Back in our room, I called the front desk, no one answered. I then called the hotel from my cell phone, after several minutes of ringing, a woman answered. She said she was running the kitchen AND the front desk. She said breakfast wasn't served until seven, ridiculous. When we checked out, we waited at the front desk again for fifteen minutes and no one showed up. We left our keys on the counter and left. Let's see if there's even enough staff to respond to this, since apparently only one person works there.

I really enjoyed my stay here. When I checked in the woman walked around the counter to shake my hand and welcome me. She gave a little run down of all the services offered. My room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very nice as far as complimentary breakfasts are concerned. Fitness center was small but nice. I would definitely stay again.

Had a very good Hyatt Place stay. Will definitely come back. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I've stayed at many Hyatt Places and Houses now, and this one stood out for their care.

Very disappointed for the $200 plus price. Was charged a pet fee and ok with that but no housekeeping service is allowed even if you are in the room while they change out towels and empty trash. We had to collect our dirty towels and glasses and take them down the hall to get them replaced each day. We had Tiny Tea Cup Poodles in a kennel. We had to take our trash to them daily also. They have dirty dishes stacked with clean dishes and the breakfast buffet does not have any meat. There was no water for an hour and a half on the day of our arrival and we needed to shower for an activity outing. The renovation is majorly loud drilling so it was a horrible noise while at the pool and then in our room. We could not take a nap for the loud noise which does not help with a headache. We were there for 3 nights during Memorial Day Weekend for the Bayou Country Fest. We booked this 6 months in advance. The location is the only thing good. This hotel ruins the Hyatt name .

This hotel is not worth the price you pay per night. I understand they are doing renovations, however, the room we stayed in was bad enough that perhaps the hotel should be closed during the renovation process. Water stains on the ceiling above the bed, paint hanging from the same area, broken toilet paper holder so they decided to hang the toilet paper on the piece that was left on the wall, shower had damaged panels, rusted towel holder, and what looked like black mold growing in the shower. $109 is a lot for these conditions. The furniture also looks like something out of the 70s.

I've been here twice. The rooms are great, I love Hyatt Places. But I had an incident here and management avoided my phone calls. You cowards. Also the rest of the staff, both visits, seemed uncaring. This past time the ice machine was leaking in the hallway unoticed for hours until saw it. But the other issue… well it was handled poorly and I will never visit here again.

When we arrived at the hotel at 6:30pm we were informed that there was a water pipe that burst on one of the top floor that created a mess. Our rooms were going to be ready for roughly 45 minutes, which was fine we just left for dinner and came back. We booked 2 rooms and didn't end up getting one until 12:00am! It didn't help that they were short staffed in the housekeeping department. The employees were very apologetic about it, which helped us cope with the fact of waiting around for 4 hours for only 1 room.

It's ok, I'm staying from out of town for a week to do some training for my job and I had high expectations for this place, seems I was wrong. I could make a list of what I found… Pro's* -Walking in is nice and luxurious -Staff greetings is friendly -Has a small bar for drinks and can make Starbucks Coffee -Complementary breakfast -Free Wi-Fi -Fridge in the room -Big TV in the room with easy hook ups and cable TV shows (no info on channels tho) Con's* -Breakfast is from 6:30 to 10:00 am (I had to leave for training at 6 am so I miss it every time) -Elevator takes forever to reach your floor -Hallway and the room has a foul musty odor -No washing machine room or dryer to wash my clothes -Room has a motel look to it -Bathroom needs paint and tare down the wallpaper and clean the rust off the towel rack -Bathroom shower/tub need to be leveled, I had the shower head spraying on the wall when taking a shower and the water was supposed to go in the tub but instead it streamed out the tub pass the shower curtain and flooded the bathroom floor. -A brownish color water comes out of the tub facet (A week before another cheaper hotel I stayed at had a blueish color water that came out, don't know if that matters) -No microwave in room.

The rooms were nice, bathrooms weren't so spacious but I loved the room. The morning after our stay we went downstairs for breakfast, only to find leftover food in all of the dishes. If you're looking for a hotel with a nice continental breakfast don't choose this one.

Great experience! We stopped here from our cross country drive and glad we did. The receptionist (Katy) was very proffesional and patient. There was a large group staying at the hotel for a religious convention and she made arraignments for us to stay in where we wouldn't be bothered by the noise. Great breakfast! The staff was very good and friendly. I was impressed with their ability handle the large group and still remain proffesional. Excellent service! I only rate them at a 4 out of 5 because the room had slight odor of mold but the bed was very comfortable and it was up to date. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
