Not a bad place but needs better ac. If it's the hotter part of summer plan to be uncomfortable sweating through the night. No elevators. Not on the beach but has access to coastline. Otherwise it's a nice inexpensive place to stay. If it had better ac I would give it four stars.

Do not book here on Expedia! We needed a place to stay in a pinch for one night and the price of $105 did not specify in the top section (oh yah scroll way down and read the fine print) that there is a $150 cleaning fee charged by the facility. Really? I could see if we were staying a week like most other guests, but we stayed one night. This is robbery. Total price? $268!

The Tale of two condos we stayed in here; First room was not an ocean view, it had overwhelming road noise & felt like a run-down second-rate motel. Second room had ocean view & was heavenly. Location makes a huge difference here.

I loved it! It was perfect! Stunning views!

Location is good but rooms are small, outdated, and don't feel entirely clean. There is no central air which makes the rooms really hot so you have to keep the windows open to cool them down. This can be awkward since people walking by can see inside your room. Overall, you get what you pay for.

Very comfortable entry level place to stay. Great for those that don't need to many flashy things.

Most irresponsible and unethical management staff ever. Massive flooding currently in Kauai and they were unwilling to refund hotel bookings fees. They say the hotel is not affected but there are "brown water" warnings prohibiting swimming and major sites on the island are closed because of the flood. Visitors were air evacuated off the island last week. I called as soon as I heard the news. It is complete robbery for them to refuse to refund my hotel booking.

The room was very ran… no baking tray, cutlery… 3 people and only 2 forks/knives.
No air conditioning, only ceiling fans.
Reception, not available… to check in you have to check in 500 meters further a building, for checking in, which is not immediately recognizable as such…
Yes price it is OK, but from all other points, fell through.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Located in Kapaa, everything is close by. Waimea is only an hour away, and it is in close proximity to the Lihue Airport. Great food and shops in the local downtown area will provide you with all you need. Not to mention the ocean front view!

Stayed in unit 310. Was very disappointed that we were not informed of ongoing renovations causing much early morning noise, or that the shoreline had been washed out. The property management was easy to work with, but the owners were very unpleasant and unwilling to compensate. As for good points, very roomy and adequately furnished with a nice ocean view. It does get bright early in the morning, but worth it for the sunrises.

Adequate, but oversold. No "Castle, " like Kona, check in at a motel 200 yards back down the main, busy road. Motel looks rough outside, like a middling college apt. Inside. Beach access is an illegal break in the shoreline restoration netting. Across the very busy, noisy road is a Safeway, a happy hour bar, and a really good down-home diner. TV room and an enclosable den with hide-a-bed. Don't forget: on all three islands you pre-pay $120 to $130 extra for cleaning after departure, an unheard-of custom on the mainland.

So far so good. Don't let the remodel throw you off. The rooms are nice.

Ridiculous front supervisor Stacey Ching in mokihana office. Don’t talk to her. Very rude. No help at all. She needs a good customer/tourist service training. Not going back to kauai kailani. Very disappointed.

DISGUSTED with Castle resorts! My husband and I stayed there in Jan 2017 and really enjoyed it so in March 2017 we rebooked to go again Over the Christmas season (which is the busy season) with the kids. We paid in FULL so we wouldn’t have the expense in December as we all know Is an expensive month. I get an email Dec 5th that the condo is not available anymore cause the owners don’t want to be part of the rental pool anymore! Why are there no regulations with the owners of the condo. It was paid in full and they did not give us sufficient notice! Nonetheless we ended up finding another place after searching for a few days and had to pay at other $3000 for a similar condo! Not impressed with management and ownership how they handled this situation!

Great location for not being really close to the tourist locations, easy for small families. Grocery and restaurants close by.

Stayed for 10 days; hard to find, office very little help, no maid service unless you pay for it (extra) ; only decent thing was the swimming pool. No regular a/c — only a very lousy portable one!

Very close to the ocean with a small private beach. Rooms are comfortable and spacious at a reasonable price.

Room was nice and a good value but if you book with Hotwire be prepared for a hidden $75 "check out fee" that was never disclosed. Also the check in desk is on a separate property a block away and there is no signage to indicate that. Luckily a friendly local family helped me find it.

Great place to stay. Sadly they are selling the rooms for condos. Great price too. Was tempted.

Beautifully remodeled condo units on the ocean, though they lacked certain necessities, such as a broom and a way to secure the doors from the inside so your toddler can't escape. There is no hot tub and the pool is colder than the ocean and thus useless.

This is a nice suite to stay in. The room surprised me with the amount of space & amenities it provided. Very up to date! It's close to many food restaurants & in walking distance to a shopping plaza. The only thing that was confusing was where to check in. The office was not at the location, but near enough to find when we asked the hotel next to us. May want to provide that address & phone number besides the actual physical location of the hotel. Other than that, friendly front desk person & a great experience :)
