Rooms are super cute and very clean. The beds are super comfy. The front desk and dinner is very cute.

Awful management. Got very rude service from a server and when I tried to talk to the manager about it she threatened to knock me out. Foods decent but not worth the crapy service. Wouldn't advise spending a penny here.

Not a Hilton or Marriott by any stretch! Comparable to a motel 6 or super 8. I stay here due to my job with the railroad. It is a railroad owned facility for away from home lodging. I enjoy coming to Sharon Springs, as it is sort of like a vacation away from the big city. This is the best facility, by far, of the three Oak Tree Inn / Penny's Diner combos that I stay in during my travels. I only get here but once every 10 to 12 weeks, but they still know me by name!

These are pretty basic rooms, but they are mostly clean. They are usex for railroad crews to stay in until they head for home, so there is activity 24/7, but they usually put the railriaders on upper floors, and other guests on the first floor. Could use bigger T. V. And better pillows, but its ok.

Would have been a better stay if all the items on the menu at the diner were available at all times. We ate around 9pm and at least 10 items weren't available. We asked about the cinnamon rolls and they weren't even sure if they would be available for breakfast in the morning. We stayed at the same hotel in Minnesota and ate at midnight and got whatever we wanted. Other than that our room was clean and it was quiet. Also the night manager or check in person wasn't to friendly but the morning staff was very friendly.

Horrible room service. Horrible staff. They told my friends they do not allow Mexicans because they make their rooms stink.

Very good hotel for being in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are very clean and a diner is right next to the hotel so you can just walk over to get something to eat whenever you want.

Awesome service, clean nice rooms. Only thing I wish was different was queen beds instead of full beds if you need more than one bed.

Had lunch in the diner. It was pretty good diner food, wait staff was very nice, friendly and the food was prompt.

A nice place to stay in the middle of nowhere. Good food and the staff is local.

Mostly clean, some bugs, but hey, this is Kansas. Would like to see them detail the rooms once a month or more. Wi-Fi recently upgraded, much improved, reasonably quick. Beds are toward the firm side, but not hard either. Not a lot of choices in Sharon Springs, this is probably the best choice, but consider Goodland (30 miles north) if you want a more comfortable bed. There's a 24 hour restaurant (this is a railroad crew change point, that's why the hotel is there in the first place, for the crews to stay until they head home. They usually stay on the 2nd floor, and non-rail guests stay on the first floor). That's also why this small town has a 24 hour restaurant.

Good contractor rates. Working mans motel for sure.

Really nice place. They own a 50's style dinner that's right next to it that has amazing food.

As long as it's ran by the same people with it's affordable prices, I will make it my favorite stop in Ks. Never could we ask for a better place to stay or a better restaurant!
