This place has had bed bugs since 2012. I was in a tight place in 2012 and ended up here for a very very brief stay. It was disgusting and unkept. Very unprofessional and multiple times police were in and out. The bar next door is always loud and there are a lot of drunks and shady people outside. Please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. :)

This place is disgusting! Half of the rooms have bed bugs and the other half has mold on the walls! Sadly had to live here for almost 4 months and when I moved out they complained my counters weren’t clean but yet they have had people demolish the place and don’t say anything! The manager Candace who treats people horrible and chooses when to be nice is just horrible customer service!

Love it! FYI you can get bed bugs from every hotel it doesn't matter if you think it ain't clean enough it
takes 1 person to spread them around.

Always got the service needed. Friendly staff. After loosing my home, this place became my home. All in all a fabulous experience.

I booked a room at Cedars Inn located in lewiston, through The wonderful charitable people at St. Paul De Vincent. First off, as I walked to my room I smelled a strong cat spray, and urine smell. Accidentally opened 206, not 208. The smell, was coming from 206, a cat was locked in the room broken glass, bed over turned etc. I called the cat but it wouldn't come, so left door cracked. After entering my room, I contacted the front desk. while in my room Bites started appearing everywhere on me, then a rash. This was miserable. I am presuming them to be bed bug bites, I saw no fleas or mosquitoes. Sleep nearly impossible. Around 6 am. Proceeded to tell the front desk clerk, he was kind enough to move me to a much nicer room, clearly because I was indigent, was put in the less desirable room to begin with.

We went there had second thoughts just pulling in, but thought we would give it a try, husband got the room we parked went up stood there a couple seconds and said nope, by husband said he said it was a non-smoking room it's not, I said it smelled of urine also. There was no way we could have slept there just for health reasons. We went straight down and asked for a refund he sail no problem, but there was a problem and we didn't get the refund called several times got the run around. Now going about it a different way. Don't stay at this place. Terrible terrible. And I don't usually do these reviews.

If I could leave negative stars I would, as I was paying for room a customer called complaining about bugs. Walking down to room ran into I think, a person who stays in the area. I asked, "what was it? " He said, "just a roach! ". Went to room, and it was fricking dirty! My wife refused to stay! Ankles startled inching, disgusting, then front desk person lied to me, having hard time getting my $ back. Said, " we haven't charged ur card yet". But its still pending, hope this helps people not make the same mistake I did! Super out dated, and poor customer service!

Candice, Cheryl, Tim, Ken and the rest of the staff where friendly and kind to us. We thank them for all the did for us during our 4 month stay with them. I would recommend Cedar Inn to anyone. God bless the staff.

Great stop off during our road trip. Clean rooms and handy for town. They also have a nice swimming pool.

It's got a bed and a toilet and that's all you need. If your looking for more… don't get your hopes up.

As a an employee I am great ful for the time u had the give u a room which u work for and a small check ever two weeks. It got me off the river and a opportunity to better myself. The manager is a good person and I miss u Trish xandacC the new manager is doing a good job trying to fill her shoes. Thanks to all the staff and the guest for a good life experience.

I have never been more uncomfortable in a hotel/motel in my entire life! Saw multiple drug deals take place in the parking lot, the long-term patrons were shady and hanging around all hours of the night and early morning, and the room was AWFUL. At first glance, It seemed pretty clean, but kind of dark and outdated (which I absolutely don't mind, especially for the room rates we paid), but then the sight got more clear… Black mold on the ceiling and walls in the bathroom, and the shower drain was COMPLETELY plugged full of hair and whatever else, the water would not drain, at all. I put gloves on and pulled it out because I really didn't want to be standing in this dirty, festering water. What I pulled out of there, well, I'll spare you the details because if you're at all squeamish, you might puke at just the thought, my husband nearly did when he saw it. BTW, the photo I posted was just the beginning of it… Although the room was awful and the guests and area of town were creepy, the staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in, and and at passing.

I checked in thinking there was gonna be a breakfast and a pool. And to start of they say there needs are queen when they are actually doubles. The towel were like hand towels. The pool isn't it use because they drianed it and the Continental breakfast is a waffle and some milk and and cereal with some water down Luke warm coffee.

This hotel has bed bugs. I'm allergic to them, stayed in rm. 111 for 3 hours had over sixty bites on me and ended up in the emergency room. Great place oh they did refund my money. Didn't cover the 600 dollar e. R. Bill. Don't stay here please!

Horrible! Walked in and it smelt like piss. Not joking and I woke up with a bunch of bug bites on me. Worst night ever r.

Bang for the buck. Not to shabby. Friendly staff. You bet there nicer. But not for the price. Great place to lay your head.

Room smelled awful. Had to go to office for TV remote. Thermostat controller didn't work so had to stand on swivel chair to turn on heat. Springs in mattresses were very uncomfortable. The stench was the worst.

I made reservations and when I arrived I was given a different room with a different bed arrangement for more money. My room wasn't awful, but when I scooted the beds together to make one big bed for my family I found a yogurt and a pair of shorts! I would have preferred to have a cleaner room and if I couldn't have the room with the bed I reserved, I shouldn't have had to pay the difference for the room with 2 beds.

The atmosphere here has completely changed in the last few months. No more drug users hanging out on the balconies, staff is polite and friendly, rooms still need a little work but they are trying.

It's fine the room is clean and standard. Only issue is how gross the shower is. Some weird gray substance in the tub and hair. It wouldn't drain till the maintenance dude randomly showed up to fix it when I didn't even ask so at least there's that. 3 sibling cats around the property that are just lovely and added to the experience. Cheap prices but you get what you pay for.

Ladies at the front desk are AWESOME & very friendly! Nice rooms too.

Very rude staff… Also the manager seemed to be sexist and talked down to his female employee's.

Smelling, Nasty smells, horrible place, Wi-Fi suck. Contract Disease… Beware that place.

Family in town for graduation, aunt and uncle stayed in one room and said bed was uncomfortable, they checked out early. We stayed in another room and it had pee on toilet seat and used towel hanging on bathroom door. Sheets had some orange stains near the head; makeup maybe? First time we stayed here it was fine, beds weren't great. This time was dramatically different. Staff is nice at least, but otherwise not impressed.

The room had a really bad odor, the towels weren't big enough to even dry a child, they were more like hand towels. The pillows were like second hand and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The only good thing was the water pressure in the shower. The images on the website doesn't match what the rooms look like. You pay for what you get, but I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

This is the shittiest Motel I've ever stayed at! Stains everywhere, got woke up constantly, and they charge you randomly for different amounts! Your better off anywhere than here!

Front desk attendant was excellent and far exceeded my expectations deserves a raise our promotion.

I went to this inn on the recommendation of someone local. We did not even get out of the vehicle before seeing blatent drug use in front of the rooms. One of the cleaning crew was smoking while cleaning a non smoking room. Overall it did not look clean or safe. Did not. Stay.

It's an ok cheap hotel, but it's obvious that many people live there, including almost all of their staff, housekeepers (who barely get any paycheck), and many vagabonds who can't get a place anywhere else. The continental breakfast was barely anything, basically gas station type butterhorns and coffee. Everything else is always "out". Not the worst place I've ever stayed, but nothing to brag about, and it's adjacent to 4 bars, so you can expect lots of seedy drunk characters all around at night. Lock the door!

They were slow on towel service. The rooms were set up fairly nice with okay beds. There is a TV in the room but the sink isnt in the bathroom.

My stay has been quite pleasant. The staff are all so nice.

This hotel shouldn't be anything more than $50 a night. The floors felt like they've never been cleaned, there was yellow liquid all in the fridge, we had no trash, hairs were in the sheets, they ran out of towels, customer service is so poor, the windows aren't screened and the door had no seal you could see outside.

Felt sorry for the staff. Obviously underfunded. One building has tarps on the roof with gravel dumped on it to keep tarps down, but it's been like this for years because miss is everywhere in it, & the roof is caving in all over it.
Seems like lots of low-income people live there long-term.
Our room? 1 towel for 4 people. Stunk like cigarette smoke & wet dogs. Several broken, missing pieces if trim. Refrigerator bottom covered in about 1/8" pink goop. No trash can. Big openings around door you can see light through. Lots of loud, barking digs in the rooms. Obvious drug activity. Very run down.
I've stayed at lots of motels & hotels. This was the nastiest. My family & I couldn't skeeo well due to excessive outside noises & the horrible if it in the room.

The front desk clerk at night was friendly and provided good banter. The room was OK for 1974 and apparently the definition of 'no smoking' means the room is not on fire. I bring my own air freshener. Definitely a location to arrive and depart when it is dark. Day light reveals this is more akin to a section 8 flop house than a motel. The crowning moment was on check out when I asked the clerk what the definition of no smoking is. Her answer was 'what do you mean? ' $42 on the website. $49.99 when I walked in. For $10 more there are probably better options on the same street.

Worst hotel ever. Charged me for 2 nights after I only stayed one because it is a filthy nasty disgusting NO TELL HOTEL. The room as filthy smelled bad and and in need of serious repair. 2 weeks later I'm still trying to get my money back for the second day night that I wasn't even there.

Awful. Do not stay here unless you enjoy stale cigarette smoke in your room, shady people who live there and are cool if your car gets broken into, holes in bathroom walls, wondering if your sheets were washed… If all that is ok then by all means stay. But I would pay more as a bad room can really dampen a road trip experience. Never again.

The people that work here, are very unprofessional. I wouldn't suggest this motel to anyone. You can't even have guests in your room? Since when.

Called a couple times headed into town no answer. Get to town sign says open. Ask about room availability. Oh we raised the prices today because the other local hotels are booked $130 something online said $51ya no thanks not to mention a child playing on her cell at the desk with other children hanging out like it's their mom's daycare and they run the desk. So I went to inn America nice, clean, quiet and a check of a lot less $! Get a real crew to work there if you would to earn real money!

AC didn't work & the room was hot. The room also smelled & was not the cleanest.

Drugs, fights, dirty rooms, bugs, are a few things wrong with this place. Cops should search all the rooms specially the people who live there. Not a place for familys. The biggest problem with this place is the staff they are the start of the problem.

Dirty bathroom, looked like dried blood stains on bedspread. The arm of the dirty couch was laying on floor. The couch looked like it was recovered from the dumpster. Dirty place. When we tried to get out money back, the manager was in the room next door and would not come and talk with us. At first they were going to refund money then said since we booked thru Expedia they could not. We will never stay in this place. Managed to get a room at Comfort Inn and it was GREAT.

I was staying here while attending the swift truck driving Academy. Although the motel is an economy motel and appears to be old and worn on the outside, the rooms appear to be remodeled and they are comfortable. I was always able to get a full night's sleep in their beds. It has a continental breakfast and Wifi. It's close to other businesses. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Problems: it smells like garbage when you walk outside in the morning, but I think that's just the city aroma and not the motels fault. There's a cat lady living downstairs. If you can't afford much, it's a decent place to stay.

A motel that has people living out of rooms and cars. Filthy rooms that has head hair still on the floor and in the shower. Stains on the sheets. I could not stay, had to leave. I see others around the area and will not stay there.

Cedars Inn has got to be the worst motel I've ever stayed in. I work all over the western US and I've stayed at a lot of motels/hotels for usually long periods of time. Apparently the maids (all guys) live in the motel, they seem angry while they are working, they are pushy, they yell at each other and curse all the time. They have unexpectedly walked in my room multiple times without knocking! (there keys bypass deadbolt, and the room has no chain lock. ) I like my privacy, I don't feel like I had that here. It seems like the cops are showing up twice a week for domestic disturbance and thefts. All the guys staying here for some driving training school, walk around shirtless (fat and ugly. They shouldn't be shirtless) and talk loud at 2am and 4am in the morning. This place needs new management. They need to get rid of the squatters that work here and hire outside work. Anyway on top of it all, the rooms stink. The bathroom and shower curtain smells like sour mold. The breakfast is all processed sugars and white flower. The Internet is slow and disconnects constantly. However, that being said, Its cheep! So if you like to; fear for your life, have your privacy compromised, kept awake, breath mold, eat crap for breakfast and bath in yellow water. Then this is the right place for you.

Cedars Inn Lewiston staff were very welcoming and helpful with answering questions about the area and best places to eat. The room was clean, quiet and just remodled. The beds were comfortable and we had a good nights rest. Only stayed one night but will stay again if ever back in the area.

I have stayed here many times — I always had hopes that someone would take over and restore this place. I'm so glad that this happened. I like the location. The current owners have made this an excellent reasonable place to stay. The rooms are clean and very nicely furnished w comfortable beds. The staff Is pleasant efficient and knowable. Thanks for a great nights sleep! :).

Thank you ladies for cleaning the room each day. I really appreciate it. It felt like home away from home. I did notice when the maintenance man fixed my headboard and made the bed. There was quite a bit of stuff under it and it could use vacuuming under them. Thanks again I am a poor student and did not have any money left in my pockets.

Asst Manager, housekeepers, desk clerk, etc were very friendly, helpful and gracious. This was highly appreciated to a retired couple from Ohio who travel with 3 cats and whose truck broke down and was towed to a dealership. Our room, linens, and towels were very clean. Thank you.
