We brought our Girl Scout Troop to Savannah for 4 days. The staff and facilities made our stay not only comfortable but so inviting. The rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, the location was excellent — close to everything! But the shinning star was the staff Barbara who worked in the breakfast area. She waited on us like a 5 star restaurant. She was kind beyond measure to our girls and she was a good sport. She sang and danced with the girls and we even sang her Happy Birthday. Barbara made our trip extra special and memorable.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable, with linens that did not seem to fit. Also uncomfortable pillows. I, like many other reviewers before me, found the extra parking charge ridiculous. It is a mostly empty parking garage. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my husband is, and he said it was the worst guest coffee he had ever had. Just did not think it was up to Hampton's usual good standards.

We checked into our room and found that the bathroom sink had not been cleaned at all! There was facial hair from shaving and coffee all over. I would have complained at the time however we had to wait until after 4 to get a room and we had to rush and get dressed for our evening. Luckily I was able to find the cleaning cart in the hall and clean it myself. Next the ice machine did not work on our floor. Lastly the men's and women's lobby bathrooms were trashed toilet overflowing with feces, paper towels all over the floor and no soap.

This hotel seriously needs a lot of work. It is dirty and smells. The staff also isn’t the greatest, even the housekeeping staff just stood around in the hallways complaining about how bad the hotel is. Would never stay at this hampton again.

Bathroom was nasty when I checked in. Move us to another room. Kids run up and down the hallway that night. Went to complaint to the Manager he was so disrespectful. I wasn’t even finished talking to him about my complaint he turned his back on me walked away went outside to help a white couple that was on the outside and left my husband and I standing there. Guess he thought I was a black female that don’t have common sense but I have all my sense. My fellow black community please stay away from this place the Manager to me don’t really care for our community.

Very nice place. The staff go out of their way to help. Chelsea was very helpful upon check in. Jeff the concierge was a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend staying here.

Beware of Xtra changes. While I was checking in the question was " if I want to park in the Hotel Parking lot would only cost an additional $20.00 per day or $40.00 per day for Valet parking. I guess this helps keep room rates competitive. Free Wi-Fi. People were all nice,

This hotel rates 4 stars with me. Clean rooms, excellent a/c, the most impressive front desk check in I've experienced in many years. Breakfast from 6am to 10am. Coffee 24 hrs. While we didn't need it they do offer valet parking in case there's no parking spots available. My only complaint is that there's no exhaust fan in the bathrooms.

The rooms are clean, which is a plus. But we only found out after we checked in that they charge $15.00 for parking. What a joke! It is a hotel, which means people come from out of town. With vehicles. This should be included with a room. Never again.

This is my son's second year at SCAD and our first time staying at this hotel. It was very nice and the location is very convenient. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

This location is perfect. Across the street from the historic stairs to River street, and a short walk to city market. (Just turn left at Five guys :) the breakfast did not have as many choices as other Hamptons we have visited. Not even bacon, so we went out for breakfast. Rooms were so clean and comfy! We will always stay here when we visit.

Very nice hotel on Bay Street. Walking distance to River Street and shops in the historic district. Room was very clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. The hotel had an outdoor rooftop pool with amazing views of the river. Breakfast is included, which included waffles, eggs, bacon, ceresl, oatmeal, fruits, bagels/toast, muffins, juice, and coffee. They offer coffee and tea in the lobby 24hrs along with juice and fresh fruit. They have cookies in the lobby at 5pm. Staff was helpful and friendly. Valet parking is $30 a day, but also have the option to self ark in the garage across the street.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to visit Savannah. All of the staff if very attentive and answer any questions you have. I am here for job training and I told them I wouldnt be able to take my car out of valet parking until 5. They said thats fine, no questions asked. The beds are more comfortable than my own, the rooms are clean, and the coffee and breakfast in the mornings are great. Awesome experience at the Hampton Inn.

I am a busy mom and this hotel provided great service especially at breakfast! As I was trying to make my son a waffle and struggling through getting my other child breakfast. Ms. Pat helped me clean up after I dropped my son's waffle. She was so sweet and spoke to every customer that walked in. Also, I loved the coffee available all day and the clean rooms. I loved this hotel.

The staff is great! They were all very friendly and helpful. It's right downtown in the historic district and everything is a short walk away. There are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes away. River Street is easily accessible across the street. Plenty of shopping inn downtown Savannah as well as down on River Street. Trolley pickup points by the hotel. Pool is on the roof and had great views of the river.

Enjoli and Mahogany serviced my room and spoiled me with balloon and gifts! What an awesome way to celebrate my birthday and what a fantastic surprise! They even upgraded me to river view. I will come back here for every stay. Home away from home! Love this Hampton inn.

Ms. Pat's breakfast was awesome! The hotel was in a perfect location. The hotel was clean and the staff was incredible. I will always stay here if I am in Savannah.

Great staff and great location! I used to stay there a lot until I was hit by a car and spent a year and a half in and out of the hospital, but the staff that still works there remembered me! The reason I did not give 5 stars is because I went to breakfast and most of the stuff was out and they were slow to refill it. I think the girl was overwhelmed and needed help as the hotel was sold out for the weekend.

This hotel gets a LOT of traffic which is probably why it hasn’t got one of Hampton’s refreshes yet. My Hilton points didn’t go very far here because it’s Savannah, but the hotel was located perfectly and had one heckuva breakfast. Load up on coffee and food, then head out on foot to explore the city. Do yourself a favor though and park off-site and save your money — you don’t need a car here! Oh, and dont forget about the rooftop pool area. I never saw one person up there, but there were tables and umbrellas to play cards or have a drink, nice views too!

Great location in Historic District but showing it's age — a little frayed around the edges. Courteous, efficient staff. Hotel is acceptably clean. Room rates are staggeringly high, out of line with the overall condition of the property; probably driven by location.

Prime location right by the Savannah River and near lots of places to eat and shop. Service was great, rooms were clean and modern. Love the downstairs decor and fireplace. We'll definitely be back!

Great location near the boardwalk. Prices were decent but typical of Hilton. Breakfast at these places are never any good and I always recommend getting quality food somewhere else unless you're in a pinch. Try to get a north facing room since you can overlook the Savannah river and see ships pass. Facing south like me yields a less than desirable view of garbage and alleys.

We made a reservation for a room and forgot to ask if they accept pets. We called 24 hours in advanced when we realized this. We are Hilton Gold Members. They refused to let us cancel and stay at another one of their properties even though they had rooms available. We lost 80, 000 Hilton Points. We always stay at Hilton. We won’t be anymore. By the way we are in the military and always having to travel. We went to the Westin Savannah Resort. It was great.

What a great place to stay in historic Savannah! The room was clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and the complimentary breakfast had something for everyone in our family.

Very nice. Courteous staff and clean. Breakfast is scrambled eggs, hot oatmeal, fresh fruits, cereals, etc. Concierge parking, add to the cost. I do recommend staying here.

My wife and I stayed here near the end of November. The concierge was almost always available and gave honest advice and was helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was nice and was clean. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful and we loved the fruit, water, and coffee that was always available.

Clean hotel with friendly staff and an excellent complimentary breakfast. In the middle of the historic district and within close walking distance of lots of historic sites, stores, restaurants, and bars. Only downside is that the rooms can be small, and a 60" wide bed is considered a queen (normally what would be considered a double). Opt for a king room if you're a couple that like a little extra space.

The hotel is perfectly located. You have access to all the tour trolleys and the free trolley system. A number of great restaurants are nearby like The Olde Pink House. The river front area is directly across the street. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Free hot and cold breakfast is served. This Hampton more than lived up to their brand name.

Perfect location walk to all highlights, restaurants, located in historic district. Clean, updated though room was exceptionally small. Glad we only spent a few hours to sleep. Breakfast was a variety each day, fresh fruit to waffles. Great staff in breakfast room, smiles and helpful. Greet each person! Valet was too convenient to use self park across street. Super staff. Negatives: toilet tissue is the worst, pillows like rocks.

The service has been amazing, the room was clean, and the concierge was great. She was able to fulfill a special request for me, that made my 10 anniversary that much better! Would definitely come back for another stay!

Beautifully decorated main floor, friendly and helpful staff. Cookies, fresh fruit, flavored water and coffee available for guest all day. Breakfast included, but there are so many great places to eat that we never ended up eating there. Right across the road from the river walk. Easy walk to sites. Rooms clean and comfortable. Great value.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn in Savannah. A beautiful and clean hotel. Welcoming staff, lovely lobby and very clean and pretty rooms. Great complimentary breakfasts daily. Coffee, tea, fruit, and lemonade in the lobby all the time. The beds are great! Very comfy!

I made a reservation for September 28th and I had to cancel at the last minute because of anxiety that I have driving so far. Delores told me she would not charge me a fee for cancelling at the last minute. This beautiful lady Delores was so very sweet and has compassion and I am so very grateful for Delores. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed. The breakfast had a really nice selection. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A very nice hotel, complete with Southern charm, but still facing maintenance issues. Toilet was improperly mounted causing the entire fixture to rock uncomfortably while using it. Inside of closet door had metal bracket that was visibly bent. Ice machine on first floor was out of service. Otherwise, air-conditioning was good, as were the beds, though the matress tends to want to not stay centered on the box spring. Had to push mattress back into place a couple times. Breakfast was easily the very best I've had at as a free hotel offering. Exceptional. Front desk service was friendly, but our requests to repair the toilet went unanswered during our 2 night stay. All in all, a good stay, enhanced by an exceptionally tasting, cleanly-run breakfast buffet.

The room was clean and the view was really nice. Breakfast area is too small for the size of the hotel. The thermostat in the room is programmed to 75 during the day and 83 at night. Took us a night to figure out why it got so hot. Couldn't override and have it stay so needed to adjust the thermostat frequently. AC wasn't powerfully enough so took a long time to cool down again. The pool is small and on the roof. So had a great view but no breeze with 4 foot walls totally surrounding the pool area and with the small size, it got uncomfortable quickly.

Called for a pedalcab around midnight for a mcdonalds run, she made it happen. She even took care of the situation when the cab company sent the guy to the wrong hotel and left us waiting longer than necessary. She really took care us us.
— Room was super clean. Literally nothing else to say about that… Toilets, fridge, tv, drawers to lamps and ceilings. It was spotless. I checked. I've watched enough hotel reality shows that usually I'm a hotel service conplaint nightmare.

— The breakfast was the best. Ever. In the history of mankind, no other continental breakfast that great has been had by anyone anywhere else. Omelettes, make your own waffles, big sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, a plethera a juices and beverages to choose from, and let's not forget some of the best looking fruit, that even puts a grocery store to shame. It was less like a continental breakfast and more like a quality southern buffet.
So, the pool-on point. Hallways-clean, not smelly. Even the elevator was clean.

We brought our Girl Scout troop with a whopping 26 girls and 9 adults for 3 nights. Everyone we encountered here was outstanding. Michael at the front desk made a special trip to pick up ice cream for our girls. Chelsea helped arrange breakfast on go for the entire gang. The hot breakfast and make your own waffles was fun and delicious! Several adults plan to visit back with their families and we know just the place to stay!

Great hotel right on the main street closes to waterfront shops and local sites. Breakfast included. All day coffee. Tea hot coco. Cookies and fruit. Roof top pool. Underground parking for a fee. But city parking 500ft away for less. Rooms were clean fresh and uncomfortable. Price very during season but over all a fair price any time.
