This was the most horrible stay I have ever had at any hotel and I travel four times a month! Tangela at the front desk was very rude and combative. I had hair in my shower and a half eaten hamburger left in my fridge. I also, asked Tangela to switch rooms. Initially she said they didn’t have any available then when I pushed she stated they did have rooms but it wouldn’t make a difference because they don’t enforce any quiet hours as my neighbors were nonstop partying. She also made it very difficult for me when I did transfer rooms. I’ll never EVER stay there again!

Location is Great! Dining is Great!

I recommend this Hotel especially if you have a huge function or event. The location is perfect with two different shopping centers, restaurants and more less than a mile. The staff was great.

My family and I love this hotel! We stay here for every Braves game, the location is perfect but it's the ambience and people that really make it spectacular. Andrew is phenomenal, and the ladies and gentlemen that handle the food service at Kofi and the restaurants breakfast are attentive and treat you like beloved family members. Traveling with toddlers can be taxing but there is never a rude glare at children being children, and the place is kept so clean that even us germaphobes don't stress (too) much about letting our kiddos be free to walk. Bonus — Aveda products in the bathrooms and the beds are like clouds! 11/10 recommend.

Great hotel! We walked to Truist Park for a Braves Game and it was perfect! We saw the fireworks from our hotel room facing the stadium. We would definitely stay here again. The restaurant and bar and very nice! 👍🏻

The Waverly is in a very convenient location close to a lot of special places, Right across from the Atlanta Braves baseball field, they have a sky walk to restaurant row, we have a great view from the six floor.

Everybody working there was so nice and had so much much patience with me and my family. They also helped us so much as we knew where nothing really was. This is such a great hotel definitely recommend!

I have stayed at this facility from 27th feb to 1st march 2020… and my credit card was charged for incidentals. Even 7days after checking out, no refund of the amount has been made. Even though there were no incidentals theu had refused to revert the thing immediately like many other hotels do. Hiwever after comin back to India I didnot receive any refund and called them for the same. After talkin to me for 20minutes over international calling on my expenses they still couldnt figure out my booking amd reason for not refunding the amount to my card.

They will cancel your reservation the day before you arrive even though they know they can’t honor the reservation made 11 months prior. Very poor management.

I would recommend the hotel… My only negative was the breakfast buffet. $21 plus per person. For that amount their should be more options. I would stay their again but I will be skipping the breakfast.

Though it is tucked away near the fitness center and pool, Spa Waverly is why we come back each month and when the occasion is right spend the night. Would be a great location to attend Braves games with the walkway access over I-285. Their service is outstanding, just ask!

The hotel employees are so nice! Concierge and Charles the Bartender. My room is lovely. The bed is so comfortable. I love that the hotel is attached to other buildings. Just a perfect trip.

I stayed at the Renaissance to attend a Braves game along with some friends. The hotel is very convenient to the stadium, and we had an awesome view of the stadium from our room as well! A lady named Margaret checked us in at the front desk when we arrived, and she was super helpful and energetic. She answered all of our questions as we were not familiar with the area, and she made wonderful suggestions for restaurants and other fun things we should do while in Atlanta. I would definitely recommend staying here, and I certainly will again the next time I visit Atlanta!

Absolutely wonderful stay. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Only reason I’m not giving five stars is there was an alarm test at 10 pm, followed by actual smoke and a building evacuation (not sure if coincidence with alarm test or what! )! Nothing was ever communicated to us about what happened.

Rooms are huge and very comfy. The bed was pretty soft and awesome. They have restaurants inside and some connected by the Galleria as well. If you dont want to pay premium for restaurants inside, there is a mall across the street with a food court and plenty of other options. Its 15-20 min to the city center and parking was free as long as the lots weren't full. Definitely will stay again.

Room was clean. I had gotten a deal through an online booking service, so I got an excellent deal, however, but I didn't get a choice of room. Of course, linens and towels were fresh. The in-room coffee was good. There was also a mini fridge in the room. Check-in was smooth, but they asked which online booking I had used. When I called before arriving to verify the registration, they couldn't tell me, but when I arrived, there wasn't any problem.

Classy hotel, near to the Braves (Trustmark) stadium and Cumberland Mall. The common areas and rooms in general are well-maintained and feel modern/current. It's at the top-end of the Marriott family, so the beds and bedding are exceptional. My room did have peeling paint in the bathroom but not enough to make me want to move. I appreciated the additional amenities extended to platinum guests, especially the concierge lounge. We also enjoyed the hotel bar but I don't think the valet parking was worth the price, given the broad availability of self-parking (both are outdoor and it would have been easier for me to just walk to my car than wait).

We were hotel guests to attend a show at Cobb Energy center and to celebrate my sister's 21st birthday. We had mentioned the birthday at check in and while we were getting ready for the concert the front desk sent up champagne and a happy birthday dessert tray. They also included a birthday card signed by the staff. My sister was so happy! That above and beyond attitude from the Waverly staff makes the stay worth it alone. 10/5 stars!

Excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms. Beautiful open spaces. But far and away the best part of my experience was the staff. This was the first time my grandson stayed in a place like this and he fell in love with the staff and service. Watching him made my weekend.

Our room was very nice and the a/c worked perfectly! We were here for the National American Miss pageant this past weekend. Everyone was super nice and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Atlanta.

Went to this hotel for the Southern Fried Gaming Expo. The lobby is very large and open. Escalators on either side of the large staircases. Very nice for a convention. The women's bathrooms were reasonably clean. Some stalls were out of toilet paper. Some sinks out of soap. Behind the lobby area there's a little food court with shops. All-in-all I liked it for a convention. I haven't seen any of the over night rooms. Only the conference rooms.

This hotel is always amazing. The setup is great for events. The entire second floor between the ball room and all the side rooms are used. It's great because the rooms are kind of built around this going up and you can get to your room or any part of the event quickly. There are decent food options and you can even walk across the busy road without leaving the building by using a bridge that goes across.

This hotel is beautiful, very accommodating, and the staff is fantastic. We were in town for my boyfriend's father's passing unfortunately, but LaShan Coburn and the staff slipped a beautiful card signed by the staff offering condolences under our door. It was the sweetest gesture and just such a blessing and a surprise! Thank you really, it really touched us in a difficult time. I highly recommend staying here, and we will be back!

Large, comfortable rooms. Great service. Attached to a larger complex including convention center and mall. Uber seems confused by this. Location is convenient for conferences and nearby lots of doing choices, including locations in the hotel and in the adjacent mall. Also closer to the performing arts center.

Although my stay at your hotel has been ok I am extremely disappointed with the hotel and will contemplate as to whether I will stay here again. When I made my reservations over two months ago I had no idea that an emergency would prevent me from coming. I called to cancel earlier this week and I was told that I would not be able to cancel because of a locked in rate. I have stayed here many times in the past but since I’ve never had to cancel I wasn’t aware that there is a no refund policy. I was so distraut I called back just to confirm and was told again. I called one more time asking to speak to someone at the hotel with no luck, I couldn’t believe it. When I reluctantly arrived on Friday and told the lady my story she then said that I could cancel… REALLY! I drove 5 hours from SC now to be told that I could turn around? I’m sorry management needs to be on the same page as to what your policy is and how to consistently treat your valued guest.

When you're going there for the first time there's a lot of 'where is this place' moments, but just keep following the signs and you'll get there. It's actually part of a big office park so if you're surrounded by large buildings you're probably close. The convention space is on the second floor, which is kind of in the same corridor as the first floor, almost like a mezzanine space. The sheer size of the floor space is impressive and there's a lot of nice touches like polished marble. It's definitely very late 70s / early 80s in terms of overall style but when the place is this nice it's hard to fault that. The food they provided was about as good as you can expect for something that is catered, which is to say pretty good albeit not Michelin star or anything. The space itself has good seating, I can't really comment to the acoustics as I was sitting near the front. The only thing I will say is the open ceilings in the main space help a ton with hearing other people's conversations. In the actual event space there was a lot of reflected sound at least before the panelists started speaking. I give this five stars just due to how clean and well-presented everything is, although I can't speak to the actual hotel rooms themselves.

Desk staff was friendly and professional. Building is open-concept, which made it fairly loud. Great gym facility. Very disappointed that the pool area was closed for renovations without any notice on their website — — I booked this location specifically to take advantage of their pool facilities. Room was spacious. The shower took 15 minutes to get warm; never experienced that in a hotel before, and I expected better. Overall it was just okay; not worth the price.

The room I booked had a pretty decent view and was a nice size for the price. The breakfast supplied in the morning was definitely top notch and a wide buffet style selection. The restaurant and bad in the main lobby had fair pricing for what was offered. The hotel is located in a very nice area with a lot of different stores/restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Great conference rooms and hotel staff. The catering was amazing and conference rooms are extremely nice. The Wi-Fi is great, I had no problems. The bathrooms are extremely clean. This hotel is very kid friendly. There is ample free parking and a valet if you need it. There is a Spa which I will make another trip to check out.

Very nice rooms… AC I’m room didn’t cool down as much as I would have liked but it was okay… Amira was awesome getting us checked in and accommodating us on what we needed… only issue we really had was at check out today… we needed a cart to get our stuff out of the room to the vehicle and the carts were all being used by a huge group that was also staying there for the weekend… I felt that they were top priority and if you weren’t with that group you were just out of luck unless you called for a bellboy and we were told that they might have time to help… other than that one issue at check out the stay was awesome… Beautiful hotel.

This is my second time in this hotel. It is a very commercial hotel for business training and conferences. I don't suggest anybody to have a vacation in this hotel or bring the family. Service stuff is nice. But, nobody will take extra mile to make you feel special or comfortable. I might give 3 stars if the next door room didn't have a party at 11 pm. I called the reception twice within an hour to send the security.

Room is large and attractive. Checkin was great. Problem is noise. Most (all? ) of the rooms open onto walkways above the marble-floored ground level atrium — where the open restaurants and bar are. I arrived at 7 on a Friday and a lively band was playing — heard clearly in my room even with door closed and TV on. Band did stop at 9 as promised but now —at 11 pm —loud party people are screaming in laughter and shouting back and forth—has been going on half an hour. Don’t expect quiet here.

The location is great. It's walking distance from my place of work and takes little time to make the journey. The room where the meeting was held was adequately prepared however the chairs where to close to each other not allowing ample room between attendees and limiting comfort. The space between the rows should have been widened to allow easier access to seating within the center of each row.

The rooms were a bit small for what the normal price would be. Also there was no centralized light for the room but 3 lamps. So this made it feel dark. There were some good lighting for the bathroom, the entrance, and the little area that you can use to do makeup or get ready in. Also the signs for where the ice is was a little bit odd. That said the overall atmosphere of the room and the look of the room was fantastic. There is a mall connected to the hotel which offers some good places to get food. The lobby and the bar area are great to get together and hang out with people.

Great hotel at in a really good location across from Cumberland Mall and SunTrust Park, Connected to the Cobb Convention Center. I have stayed at this Renaissance several times over the years. They renovated their rooms a little over two years ago. If you can get a room with a view of the city, go for it. The view is beautiful when the sun is rising or setting. The higher up, the better. The hotel has a coffee shop, a gift shop, and a restaurant. All are a bit pricey to me, but convenient. If you decide to go to the mall, you can leave your car parked because their is a crosswalk that goes over the highway. The same is true for going over to SunTrust Park. There is every type of chain restaurant that you could think of within 2 miles of this hotel. There are also a few mom & pop spots and discount stores.

I enjoyed my stay here. There was one problem, I signed up for two beds, but only gave me a queen. Woman at front desk said she just had the same problem with another woman right before me. Considering I have 3 children, this was annoying, but they gave me a cot for my oldest son. They had a huge Muslim convention happening and I think there was some glitch from all the reservations. During the convention, it felt overbooked. Couldn't get in elevators, no parking, etc. Before that massive convention, I enjoyed my stay, once the mass of people came, it felt like 6 to 8 people were in single rooms and taking over the whole hotel. Way too many people for the facilities they offered. I enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, they were delightful after long days. The coffee shop closed early, which I didn't understand, so I had to get coffee from the bar. They have a cute selfie light camera in the lobby, which was a nice touch (took picture after driving 5 hours and being in the rain, just there as an example) Loved when I called the front desk, they always addressed me by my name automatically. Beds were comfy. Safe area.

We were there for a large event during Christmas. The hotel staff were extraordinarily helpful. Most of the were families were with children of all ages. But the staff showed extreme patience and sensitivity. Even on Christmas Day, the hotel was fully staffed. Check-in and Check-out was very quick. Rooms are super clean and have nice decor.

It was great! The rooms were amazing especially because of the Atlanta skyline views from the window. The hotel is a big very spacious and perfect for a convention. I absolutely loved it.

Great vibe when entering the hotel and the receptionist do appear very helpful. They have a nice coffee shop, good restaurants/bar, and gift shop in the hotel. Additionally it's located outside the bulk of the city and near the mall which can be a plus. Rooms are spacious and comfy with some premium TV channels. My negatives come from them not having a safe in the room, terrible iron, and very bad room service. Their worst service was on a night there was a snow storm in Atlanta so I let them slide on that. But the second time, the food was only medium temperature and was pretty mediocre when considering prices and hotel food. I've only started once so they are probably a bit closer to 3.5 or 3.75 stars but just want people to know the facts.

Room was super clean and comfortable. I had one minor issue during my stay that was handled quickly and efficiently. I had one meal delivered to my room that was excellent.

My favorite hotel. The rooms are so comfortable. The staff very friendly. The pools and hot tub glorious. And the sauna. Heavenly. If there are any issues, the staff use everything in their power to make it right. :)

Hotel was really nice, and staff was friendly. I had to call guest services twice to credit the wireless internet fee, but that was taken care of with no problem. But the greatest feature of the hotel was also its biggest problem. The interior of the hotel is open, and you can see the glass roof from the first floor lobby. But sound travels easily from the lobby to the upper floors. People were carrying on around 2am, and we could hear it with the door closed.

Had an awesome time. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and really enjoyed it we had a few drinks and the people working the bar were super friendly as well. Would definitely stay here again.

At first I was nervous about this place being used for my favorite conventions but I got used to it and the food court. I still wish for the ones near Peachtree Center Station but this just fine. Transportation is hard though, for these conventions compared to using Marta. They have a surprising lot of underground shops that are nice.

This hotel was beautiful, well designed, large, and clean. My only suggestion would be is to add more television stations and have housekeeping come sooner than dinner time. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I will stay with them again.

The rooms and overall facility was well kept! Beautiful decor. Parking can be an issue if there is a major sporting event. Beds were very comfortable. Only complaint is if someone knocks on a door close to you, you hear it. Would recommend highly to others to stay here!

Clean rooms, nice renovations, shower pressure is low, if you need to sleep during the day or early evening this is not the place for you, sound carries in the atrium and can be heard in the guestrooms. Beds are very comfy. Service was very friendly. We had a small maintenance issue that was resolved super quickly and they called to make sure everything was working properly.

Stayed here for a National Home Depot meeting. The hotel is excellent. Great rooms with very comfortable beds. Ample meeting space. Easy to get around. And the staff had taken good care of our 500+ people. It's also across the bridge from the new baseball stadium.

Not very pleased with this hotel. When we arrived, no one greeted us when we got there, the young lady behind the counter was not very nice and acted like she couldn't care less if we were there or not. When we got to our room, we only had two bath towels, there was a wet spot on the floor that lasted for two days and the bathroom door knob had a screw that was falling out. There were people screaming and yelling and slamming doors at 3:00 a. M. And kids running up and down the halls and yelling at 8:00 a. M. We had a late dinner at the bar/restaurant, the food was cold and the drinks were not very good. For it to have been "recently renovated", the room looked like it was built in the 1970's. We will try another hotel on our next trip to Atlanta.

Stayed for business for two nights with meetings for two days. Everything went pretty smooth and the employees were helpful and attentive. The shower faucet won't turn off so I called guest services. The issue was fixed pretty quickly. The rooms were nice and the bed pretty comfortable. The view isn't that great for the lower floors but I'm not expecting a great view while travelling for business.

The Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel is a tremendous property. I stayed on a business trip and couldn't be happier. The staff was friendly from check in through check out. Always asking if everything was good and if I needed anything. The hotel property is modern with a fun feel to it. The rooms were nice, updated, and the bathroom was great. I'd recommend staying at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are very spacious, clean, and very modern. My husband and I loved our room. The reason I am giving the hotel a 4 star is because the service was okay from the concierge to housekeeping. Concierge was not very friendly. The first day, housekeeping didn't even come to service our room. The second day, they came early and just barged in. Additionally, the parking is inconvenient and difficult. The restaurant was okay (very salty), though their service was excellent. The bar food and service was not good at all. Overall, our stay was nice.

Renaissance was in a great location, I didn't get a room but the ball room was spacious and comfortable, the hospitality staff provided great service to all guests. Welcoming.

Stayed there for three nights for a volleyball tournament for my daughter. The girls have very long days, so one evening we picked up food to eat in the open sitting area. I asked the waitress from the bar about getting drinks for the girls. She told us to go ahead and bring the girls in along with their food to the bar and restaurant area so she could serve us drinks. I okayed it once again with her because the girls had food. The bar was pretty much empty. Things were fine until Marlon a supervisor comes to my table and tells me we all have to leave with our food. I explained to him we were told it was okay, and asked if the girls could finish first. He said no, and demanded that we leave because no outside food can be brought in. I asked him to please let these girls finish but he would not. I have never been treated that bad at a Marriott.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this recently renovated hotel. When I checked in, Dennis noticed that I had flowers and other things and clearly saw that it was a special occasion. And when he saw that I was in a rush to decorate the room, he offered to decorate for me, which was a great help to me. My spouse was overjoyed and came to tears when she saw the room. No words that I can express, can show my gratitude for the staff and especially Dennis, for making this occasion extra special for us. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family.

Went in for drinks before going to the opera, and again afterwards for a quick bite and a couple more drinks. The drinks and service were good. Slightly expensive, but a fun night out overall.

Upon my arrival here and stay for the night on a business trip I checked out this place online to see my value and what it had to offer for me. Walking into this place I was greeted with such respect and helpful people. I was very impressed with the lay out mostly the front door takes you right in front of the elevator so that I don' have to walk around to find my room or look for the elevators to take me up to the 6th floor. Once in the room I was very impressed with the mattress set they had to offer. Taking me to a deep and very comfy sleep. If there is one thing that I like to make sure hotels have to offer me is to have full 4G cell phone coverage on all floors, so that I can stay connected with my business partners and family while on the road. I have noticed in certain locations I did not have my full strength coverage as needed. This could be a very big improvement for any type of guest that may raise their customer experience while staying here.

This was a good location for our conference do to the access from either I-75 or. I-285. Not being downtown means that parking is either free or at least cheap. There were adequate facilities for breakout meetings and panels. The staff were professional and courteous. The banquet meal was extensive and good.

My family stayed one night and we were very pleased with our experience. Our room was extremely clean and modern. We got a special room package that included breakfast and it was definitely worth it!

This hotel is considered to be one of my top notch hotel choices in all the years I have traveled. Upon arriving to the hotel, I was greeted by the friendly staff and I noticed the large, luxurious, and spacious atrium where all the action took place. The sitting area was VERY comfortable and relaxing for sitting down and enjoying a talk with your friends. The 5 elevators provided a quick exit and entry system that many of my friends enjoyed. The room was very luxurious and abstract, creating a sense of an art gallery in your hotel. One of the best parts of this hotel was the Spa. The Spa was very spacious and offered both a sauna and steam room. The bathrooms there were also pretty nice. II simply rate this hotel 5 stars out of 5 for its excellence.

Great location for conventions and the future Atlanta Braves stadium. We had a corner executive suite with access to the concierge lounge and would definitely stay again. The indoor pool was nice and the gym facilities were outstanding. Overall an excellent choice for travellers in the Smyrna area.

Do not stay at this hotel. We scheduled a 2-day work offsite and the hotel would not allow us to move it a single week or adjust the plan in any way. They are inflexible and not interested in guest satisfaction on any level. We paid for the entire event and were not offered a single dollar credit toward the same event the following week. We will not work with them ever again.

Wow, this is literally the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. All of the rooms are centered around the lobby so I don't think it would matter if I had requested a different one, literally someone can talk in a whisper and it would echo up into all of the rooms. I was on the 8th floor and I felt like I was at a sports arena with an event being held. What a nightmare.

Had an excellent stay here from both last year and this year. Rooms were spotless and clean, as to be expected. They helped me with all my requests. There was an issue with our room key not working and after multiple keys were made with no avail, the management at the front desk went above and beyond to help correct and compensate for it. I really appreciated this and it showed they cared. Thank you.

The stay was awesome this was our first time staying at this hotel. The staff was very professional and helpful other then that the stay was GREAT! It would be even better if they were pet friendly.

I love staying here every year during Anime Weekend Atlanta. Excellent Customer Service my family really enjoy all the amenities. Will be looking forward to coming back next year.

As long as you don't attend during an Open Carry Convention or the Anime Convention it's a wonderful hotel. Great service, great food, perfect cocktails. I'm not into TV so I dunno whether the tv's are up to date in the rooms. Our kids love it, too.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Waverly this weekend and I was very impressed. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, the rooms were very clean and well decorated and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. Even those this hotel has been around for a very long time, it was in excellent condition. I will be back very soon. Nothing like a staycation.

Hands down the RUDEST customer service I have EVER spoken to. I inquired as to whether or not the hotel offered a government rate for an event my son and I were attending at their convention center. Short answer, the hotel doesn't offer government rate for dependents. I explained that I was an active duty dependent of a deceased active duty service member. Generally businesses offer the government rate in this situation. I do not feel entitled or become offended if they are unable. However, the two people were complete jerks to me. The second guy the "supervisor" of customer serviced literally yelled at me and tried to talk over me. He barked "We are not giving you a government rate", and "it is not our fault you are NOT the active duty service member and cannot have him with you". Without notice he forwarded my call to the the rewards center. She hung up on me and sent me to a system to leave my name and number. I told them it wasn't about the rate, I didn't want it. It was about the treatment and the way I was being talked to. All staff members refused to give me their names or contact information to supervisors.
