Very quiet large spaces rooms microwave and refrigerators very clean. Customer service was very great continental breakfast very nice beautiful Lake and swimming pool. Great price!

It was pretty good I dont remember half the night but that means it was great lol.

I had people knocking on my door in the middle of the night. Drug nags on the ground and people dropping trash from upstairs. Room was comfortable.

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend for a 1 night getaway and was very impressed. Hotel staff is super nice & provides excellent customer service Our room was clean bed was comfy & clean w/good sheets & nice big comfy pillows. We enjoyed a peaceful stay here. Our room had a great view of the lake. We also enjoyed the driving range on the water. The pool looked very nice even though we didn't swim. We plan on coming back soon☺️nice affordable clean motel.

Room was nice for the price staff was awesome but had alot of shady people hanging out around the property and people partying in the parking lot all night.

I will never stay here again, room smelled like dog or cat piss, asked multiple times to put something on carpet. The after 2 nights started dealing with ants, went and told front desk who said they would spray the next day. Came up and barely sprayed and then they got worse, going up the walls from behind the bed headboards, on the bottom of the bed. I left 3 days early cause the other room they tried to give me had ants as well. Wasn't going to stay in that type of condition, the assistant manager would not refund any of my stay. Very disappointed!

Nice people, good staff… The amount of permanent residents is (wow) alot. Drug deals in the parking lot not so great.

This is our go-to for Bikefest every year. We don't even think about comparing rates. The nicest people! Love the suite, the pool and the service.

Clean and inexpensive. Not a five star, but nice for overnight stays.

Rooms were clean. Reserved a room with a king bed and slept in a queen size bed. The room was large with a 30 inch TV with a fuzzy picture (outdated tv) the a/c unit sounded like airplane engine starting up. The employees were very nice upon check in and checking out.

Perks:. Well priced, clean rooms, friendly staff. Fun driving range… golf balls/clubs provided (5$). Situated next to a drugstore which came in handy. Note:. There's a bit of a "shady" long time resident element, so definite general precautions by keeping room/vehicle locked up and valuables out of sight.

The grounds were clean, checking in was no trouble, and management in the office was very friendly. Walls are a bit thin, as to be expected with a motel, and the fact that they also rent to long term folks changes what type of people come to the place for a room, so it did get a little loud, but nothing that we couldn't deal with. They take pets of all shapes and sizes, non breed discriminatory. Bed was free of bugs, dirt, and debris, and I would definitely stay here again.

The best thing I can say about this place is it's cheap and I've never gotten bed bugs. My non-smoking room usually has an ashtray and a bunch of cigarette burns in the carpet…

Slept good, but woke up to A lot of bugs. If I wanted to wake up to bugs I would have just camped. Would have been cheaper.

BEWARE this is a nice looking pet friendly motel HOWEVERl A lot of locals live here. I was there for 3 weeks during Hurricane Irma which was the middle week. That week the rate was raised 100. And went back down the following. Law enforcement said to me You know who stays here People like you down on your luck. Drug Dealers and Drug Addicts it is very quite as most activity goes on inside or at night when the clueless out of town guest are sleeping. Check out Tavares Police Department Facebook Page they even know it's a problem. Used to be a nice place years ago. Shame it's drug invested I highly suggest searching for another motel.

Very bad place to stay. Not clean and very expensive. Owner is a a$$ the staff are very rude. Watched the lady at front desk stuff my money in her pocket for my dog staying at the place with me. Then she tells the owner I never paid for the dog. Very shady place and the cops are always there due scum they let stay.

Absolutely disghusting. Roaches all over, looks as if they never dust or clean behind beds. May as well sleep in the bathroom. Only nice part of the entire room. Definitely needs to be kept up and re painted. No stars for this place. Full of mold. Looks as if the place would catch on fire from the air conditioning unit, which also has mold and lint/dust inside of it. Rude staff. Nasty carpets. Place needs shut down.

My sister stayed here… It's very big and roomy… the maids could do a better job of cleaning the rooms. But my sister did her own cleaning.

I have rented rooms there several times and never had a problem. I was recently there and was kicked out for No reason. The Owner us very nice. His management staff is rude and he has a few housekeepers that engage in undercover pettiness along with his management STAFF. I feel l I was targeted by his staff do to personal reasons!

20 years in the Navy, traveled the globe & Inn on the Green is in the top three WORST places I've EVER stayed. Rude staff, urine-soaked (still wet) carpets, base-boards & worn-out furniture visibly mold infested, cockroaches (big & small — equal opportunity) making rounds while lights still on, door keys didn't function properly while staff condescendingly scolded me, displaced individuals staying as residents, peeling paint, etc, etc. Why did we stay; dogs allowed. One star was lowest allowed; I'd give it zero. $89/night will be $290/night for the spring bike fest. This isn't even a close-call from a jaded patron, this is a disgusting, repulsive, abortion in the hospitality industry. You've been warned.

Very tranquil environment with a beautiful lake in the back. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Large room with a 50s style country club feel. Oversized bathroom with granite countertop. Powerful shower with a massage type shower head. And the Price was the best I've found in that area.

I don't like it. I asked for the non-smoking room and they gave me a stinky cigarette. And the air conditioner didn't cool well.

Staff is rude and very unprofessional. Had a large barking dog in adjoining room. Front desk stated that the hotel is pet friendly yet have no pets allowed placards on room entry door. They don't even want people that they may have pet/pets next door… Clerk stated that she could neither refund nor discount room cost. Either accept to be moved to another room, have her call the dog owners and ask that they control the animal or just lose or money. Finally said that she had a customer and hung up the line on me. Would not stay or recommend this hotel if my life depended on it.

Allows pets. Nice area. Rooms kinda out of date but fine. Needs to get pest control for the fire ants tho… they are everywhere.

If you think 'Inn on the Green' sounds annoying and pretentious it might IF this place was like that. It's not. IT IS AMAZING and a family friendly hotel. Arrived at about 8:30 having been travelling for almost 12 hours. Erin was dressed casually and a joyful receptionist. She told us about putting geeen and swimming hours as well as giving us several places with very good food and great delivery times. She also told us about thr continental breakfast. Staff: courteous, friendly, and extremely professional. Facilities: 8 out of 10. Spacious room with TWO chairs, a large desk AND a closet large enough for 2 luggage racks. TV had a very clear picture despite being slightly dated. Shower head a bit funky. The two queen beds were firmly comfortable. Scheduled 4 night but changed to 3 at check in. Easily done at no charge for the room. We have a service dog, thanked us but needed his certification or verification card. Room is spacious even with 2 queen beds. Shower has several strange shower choices but all are largely low power. Great visit. I'll be back … soon.

Inn on the green is a very cozy place for a night with great customer service that you wouldn't expect at a place like this. Totally surprised me. Will definitely return.

This has been a nice place. The room is very clean and very affordable. The lady at the front desk was nice. We wanted to get away from Tampa and not spend crazy amounts of money and this fit the bill. We are aware of the tragedy that occurred here but I can't see how this was the owners fault. I'm sure that's why it's so inexpensive. It appears that they spent money to make it nice. If the grounds outside was a bit nicer it would be even nicer. Definitely a ok place to spend the night cheaply. Check out Mary's Kountry Kitchen on your way to Mt Dora.

Great family environment safe and friendly. We love it and try to stay as often as we can. Hope to see ken and the gang soon.

I should've drove off as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Just seeing some of the people staying at this place should have been a good indication of what I was getting myself int. Unfortunately my boyfriend had already prepaid the room and all the other hotels in the area were booked for the night. The bathroom was the only good thing about this place as they seem to have been remodeled. The bed sheets are not washed between guest. Our bed sheets had food crumbs everywhere. I was absolutely disgusted and will never stay here again.

I went to visit a friend who was staying at Inn on the Green. The room was very nice and she told me it was a very pleasant place to stay. I loved the the bathroom, very nice! I wish they would change the bedspread and curtains to a more modern look. The curtain/bedspread look is so outdated and tacky. But otherwise this is a great, clean place with awesome amenities. ***update*** I went to rent a room for my fiance and I to spend a nice weekend together and saw 3 drug deals and then ambulances pull up because an infant was found dead in the pool. And from what I've read and seen on news and talked to guests there, they have been renting to a bad crowd.

The worst place I've stayed at for sure! I wouldn't recommend anybody staying with this place.

Dump hotel, loud music shaking the walls, awful rude management, we lasted 3 hours there and HAD TO LEAVE! Worst hotel experience ever.

Very nice spot, with lake in the back and pool. Rented two rooms and they were nice and big and clean.

Two stars — let's start. Lol. This part of FL is so boring. Nothing to do. Small town. The hotel was clean and we paid cash for the room. The price was horrible! Lol wish I paid $30 tops! And I would have given it more stars. But we paid $69 off of Priceline and I wish I booked an Orlando Marriott for the cash lol. Mount Dora was small and cute but deff not a two day trip and we won't be back :) but the hotel was clean and the beds were good. But lol. Highway robbery. Looked like more of the motel 6 on some brown grass and a small pond. :) pool closed at 9 and did not look out over a lake. Let's just say we're weren't "checking in" on Facebook lol.

We went strictly for the use of the pool. You can have full use of the pool for $5 per person. If you don't have a pool of your own it's a very nice option. The staff was very nice and courteous.

I would not stay here again. I had 2 nights in a 2 room suite with no working TVs (had to call the front desk at 8:30 PM when I returned and just wanted to relax. The maint guy had bring a TV, and then spend 45 mins trying to program it to have channels, he got only 1 TV to work) I had no clocks, don't hotel rooms have clocks? Oh, there was a wall clock that was stuck on 8:10… I guess it's too much trouble to change a battery and have a clock. I had no pen, no paper. Only 3 of 6 lamps worked… guess it's too much trouble to change a bulb too. The room seemed clean, but I wonder what other corners they cut that aren't as obvious as a missing TV and no working clocks. My buddy stayed in the room next to me and he had one digital clock, that was blinking… too much trouble to set the clocks. Stay somewhere where they actually prepare the rooms for their guests.

Just wanted to say that Ken @ The Inn on the Green gave OUTSTANDING customer service. We had a reservation, but a family emergency came up and we would not be able to keep our reservation. Ken was very empathetic, he waived our cancellation fees even though we only give a couple hours notice. If we have another basketball tournament in the area again, we will be sure to repay Ken by staying at The Inn on the Green.

Clean spacious rooms, amazing and courteous staff, great landscape and lake on edge of property. Free breakfast, relaxing/ comfortable atmosphere, great location — best hotel you'll find that's along the more affordable lines! I would know from past months experience and hunting in the area! Spent a total of 3 weeks, out of a month total, in THIS hotel, and they are easily the one I would recommend highest, any time!

It was nice and neat and cheap.

It is a good clean nice looking place and it's Wi-Fi is iffy but still good and it's comfortable and a goo place to spend the night at.

There are two wonder woman working there named Denise, and Anna. They both were very polite and courteous.

Stayed this past weekend for a 3 day volleyball tournament at Hickory Point Rec Center. Great value and friendly staff. Pool was clean and well maintained. Close to dining and the sports facility. Definitely not luxury, but safe and clean for an older hotel. Will stay again if playing in the area.

We have stayed here many times before and were completely satisfied, but this last stay was less than desirable. We changed rooms 4 times because the a/c was not working in the first 3 rooms. The only room left the a/c was working, but not well. I hope this was an isolated incident and not the norm. the 3rd room they sent us to didn't have the a/c unit in it at all.

There was roaches everywhere we had to change rooms also we pulled the couch out and there was crumbs everywhere, the suite is not a suite! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Very clean, wonderful staff, lake out back, autographed pics of celebrities in lobby, smelled like my grandma's house in the lobby, beds were perfect and smooth and clean, no coffee maker BUT they had coffee already made in the lobby and breakfast, a/c runs great, I plan on staying here again ;-).
