Being ignored by housekeeping! We had to go get our own towels after the first night because they didn’t bring us any, nor did they make the beds or empty trash. We complained a man in the lobby, and he asked us if we left anything on the bed. We did not. We came back to our room that night, and we came in to find no towels, no changed garbage, unmade beds, and no toilet tissue. Only one of us could drink coffee because there was only one individual packet of caffeinated coffee. We have come in late tonight after the lobby has closed, so we are left with no towels and no toilet tissue! Not the way to treat customers! There are hundreds more hotels in St. Augustine; take my advice… this was the worst hotel experience of my life. I will NEVER stay at a Quality Inn again, especially not this one! I’m furious, and they will be hearing from me in the morning.

Beds could use replacing but not to bad. I'm not sure what some of these other people's issues were but we have had none. They let us check in early at 145, though if we'd checked in at 1 like we'd tried it would have cost us an extra $15. Pool had just reopened that day after having been closed for them to paint it so was a little cool, but that's to be expected. All and all a good value for the money and if we were in the area again we'd stay here again, especially with proximity to the beach. 10 minute walk to a great stretch of beach. Oh, and this is a stop on the Old Town Trolleys Beach Line so you can use the hop on hop off shuttle and not even have to drive back into town.

My husband stayed here for 2 nights in August 2019. He had unresolved issues with dirty bed, filthy floors, and no response to change of sheets repeated requests. This place is an absolute disgrace to an otherwise good chain.

Staff was great! Dog friendly was a plus. Rooms are quiet and clean, no complaints here. Also a short walk to the beach.

I work here and the hotel guest services are amazing. As most of the house keepers here are my family we all promise you great housekeeping services and we make sure your just as happy as when you first arrive here at our hotel. There is ice machines on every floor. And a soda machine by the laundry room next to lobby. We have a pool that’s well kept and we do allow pets. “Wolf” “Meow” I would suggest this hotel to anyone who loves the beach it’s a 5 min walk.

Noisy rooms, sucky bed and filthy floors. This place needs some updating and better cleaning staff. Horrible night.

Was not clean, older hotel. Will not be recommending this place. Food was cold (had to go somewhere else to eat breakfast).

Nice, big and clean rooms, quite modern. Really nice staff at the motel. Walking distance to lovely beach! Highly recommended.

July 9 — 12, 2018 — Remodeled, clean, and quiet. Excellent location. Staff was awesome! Especially the lady who prepared the breakfast items and kept everything stocked and super clean in the eating area! She spoke to everyone and came around to all the tables asking if you needed anything.

It's okay. It's no Best Western. The water pressure is a trickle at best. Paint peeling on the walls, but if your only intention is the sleep in a bed for cheap while you explore the city it works. The pool is not bad. The free breakfast is sub par compared to Best Western.

If there would be a negative review, this hotels night manager would win for terrible customer service. We are a member of this group of hotels and love staying at them. We decided to stay in St Augustine tonight. Upon pulling into the parking lot a women was sleeping on the bench outside of the front desk. The abrasive gentleman who was working, if he could be called that, decided to accost us in the parking lot. Demanded to know if we had we had a reservation, told us there was no vacancy, despite half of the parking lot being empty. Was extremely rude and told us to come back tomorrow when he had availability. What a joke. I have never been treated so poorly by any hotel I’ve even been too, especially without being about to even go into the place. Check out the bench ornament in the picture, don’t take my word for it.

This hotel is nice, and affordable. The rooms are clean and updated. The staff is the nicest hotel staff that I have ever dealt with. Not just a couple of them… everybody! All of them! The outside could use a cleaning. The pool is very small and very dirty.

I stayed at the quality Inn on A1A in Saint Augustine On June the second to third. I was very disappointed. I requested extra pillows in my room and the late check out. There were NO Extra pillows in my room. And the ones that were there were very flat. The hotels alarm clock in my room went off at 6 AM. I did not set it to go off. Mid-morning I decided to take a nap. The normal check out time is 11. I heard the maids in the room next to me making a lot of noise At 10:30. Then they started banging on my door and tried to open it. I even had hung out with privacy hanger on the door. At 11:30 I received a phone call from the front desk Saying that I was to be out of my room by 11 o’clock. I told him that I had requested a late check out which was 12 o’clock he said he was sorry that no one had put that in the computer. There was something all over the curtain that was in the room. It looks like Grease Or mold and it was all over it. Later when I spoke to my mom who stayed in a different hotel not far from the one I was in she said they’re alarm clock in their room also went off at 6 AM that same morning. That was their second morning in that room and the first morning it did not go off. It seems like maybe the maids were setting the alarms to go off in peoples rooms to wake them up and get them out early so that they would have more time to clean.

This place is great. Free breakfast, a great staff and our room is always clean when we come back. I would highly recommend this place to stay. Close to everything.

I'm so happy this place was friendly dog friendly the rooms are amazing for the price and the staff was so awesome. Close to st. Augustine and the local beaches. A walk or drive to beach. Dog friendly beaches. Great price I stayed an extra day! Will be back. Great on a budget but or doesn't feel like you are. Laceykphotography.

We stay here because it's cheap and has a hot breakfast. There is a pool, but it's very small. The suites aren't much larger than the rooms but they do give you access to a sink, microwave, and mini-fridge. You also get a small counter top. The beds are not super comfortable but honestly we're not sleeping or spending too much time in them. The hot breakfast includes eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries and cold cereal. Nothing to write home about but a much better breakfast than a continental. The only off thing is every stay there is usually a group of people hanging out in the parking lot at odd hours.

Comfortable bed. But cleanliness leaves something to be desired. Do the job but don't forget your sandals to walk on the floor in the room.

Great pet friendly hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms are good for the price. Location is nice, right across a park that takes you down to beach. They have a little "yard" behind the hotel for the dogs to stretch their legs (not fenced). Rooms are clean. Bed was a little hard and water pressure in shower was low, but our room had a nice little kitchen area with a fridge, microwave and cabinets. Best deal if you're traveling with Dogs. We also stayed at Guy Harvey Hotel, but it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as this hotel.

No the cleanest. Service was good. Breakfast was good. Really nice people.

4 stars because it's what I expected. It's a simple place and getting old but it's priced properly, not too expensive. I found the staff to be helpful and in some case friendly. Still it's what I was looking for. Well located near the beach. Plenty of good restaurants around.

For the price, 5 stars all the way. Clean, simple, easy access motel style place so you can park close to your room. Pet friendly so expect animals. It's an easy and VERY pretty 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach right through Ocean Hammock Park. Cool little pool area. Close to a Publix for all your grocery needs. We enjoyed out stay very much.

Great rate, very close to the ocean, my room was nice & clean. Helpful, friendly reception. Pool, breakfast, clean bathtub & bed, charging station for gadgets. Nice tile flooring, comfy recliner, pretty decor/bed comforter, clean ac unit, nice neighborhood. They also give you plenty of towels which is nice.

For the most part I enjoyed my stay. We made late reservations online and the clerk was outstanding and getting a set up when we arrived. The previous night I stayed in a fancy Ramada but this hotel room was not quite as big but was much more up-to-date had a bigger TV and nice hardwood floors, which I really liked a lot. I would give it 5 Stars however my only complaint was that I was awakened a couple times in the morning by the sound of what I can only describe as a laundry machine the size of a dumpster somewhere nearby. Maybe I just happened to get a bad room location but it was pretty bothersome. I would very much like to stay at this hotel again but I might request a room far away from any machinery.

Booked via Choice Hotels (via Google) and they completely messed up the reservation (double booked, pet was not included). Reso was prepaid and non-refundable, but manager at the hotel refunded the extra room and got us into a pet friendly room. Super helpful, so 5 stars. And zero stars to Choice Hotels. Won't ever book with them again. About the hotel: location is great, one of the few pet friendly hotels on the island, room was clean, bed was decent enough (I'm easily susceptible to back pain from a bad bed, no issues here), there's a shower and hose by the pool to rinse off paws and feet, a little dog area stocked with poop bags. Only con was that cleaning service was difficult with the dog in the room. We asked someone to give it a quick clean while we were gone for an hour, but they didn't do it. So we went for a few days without cleaning service. Not the end of the world, and I'm sure management would of handled it if we asked. Overall, we will go back. It's a good, pet friendly motel for the price and location. Nothing fancy, but it's clean (about 3.5-4 star). And I bumped them to 5 stars for getting me out of a potentially bad situation.

The inn was in am ideal location. The rooms were kept clean. My only issues were the toilet paper was not new, and the a. C. Didn't work that well. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

It was the dirtiest motel we ever stayed in. The lamp shade was covered in mold. There were holes in the walls that looked like a third graders patched them. The mold on the ceiling was painted over. The room had such a mold smell my husband had an asthma attack. The fixtures in the bathroom we're extremely rusty. The floors were really dirty we had to wear shoes. The curtains on the window we're extremely dusty never had been cleaned. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I had a good experience here. I had booked a reservation for a different Quality Inn & Suites by accident and the owner honored my rate and got me in a room. He also found me a place to park my trailer. Overall staff was very friendly, my room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could have used some maintenance that is my only complaint. Would reccomend if on a budget!

The night manager is a bitter man on a power trip with nothing better to do than ruin your vacation and make you feel like an insignificant consumer. After booking months in advanced we were kicked out when we were not at the hotel more than 5 hours a day, spending most of the day at the beach. The floors and rooms were filthy. Do not stay here.

My family and I stayed at the Quality Inn Suites off of A1A and St Augustine Florida. It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in very unclean looks like a hole in the wall Motel. Rooms smelled and a lot of things did not work properly. It appeared that there was prostitution taking place out of some of the rooms. And addition to we were scammed and was charged a $250 fee for smoking in the room when nobody smoke in the room from our party. It was a family vacation with my husband myself and four minor children. I asked them to pull surveillance and verify that my husband smoked outside after sending me a email confirmation that they did indeed see him smoking outside however, they still refused to refund the $250. I am currently disputing with bank has filed a claim with Better Business Bureau and will be reaching out to the problem solvers with the local news station in addition to seeking legal representation for fraud and scamming. I do not recommend this hotel to anybody and I will make it a point to let everyone know that that hotel is the worst hotel in St Augustine Florida to stay at. WORST HOTEL STAY AND EXPERIENCE EVER! Will never stay at one of these hotels ever again…

The staff was amazing and very welcoming. I was moving my son home from college and decided to stop by the beach. I also was traveling with my dog and a Uhaul. It's so nice to have such a great place that welcomes furry family members. I can't wait to come back for a vacation visit! Jen at the front desk when we checked and the gentleman at the desk the next morning were genuine and welcoming! The lady that handles breakfast made me fill like I was a guest in her home.

We stayed here 2 nights. On a positive note the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was sufficient and the eating area kept clean as well as the lobby. There were several issues of concern regarding cleanliness however in the room, pool and stairwells. Comforter had a blood stain on it which was immediately replaced. Lots of maintenance issues. Pool chairs were filthly as well as stairwells. Needed a good pressure clean with bleach. We booked for another couple who was with us and was embarrassed by the condition of the hotel.

The room was amazing and very clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We always travel with our 2 little dogs, so we are always looking for a pet friendly motel with a minimal or no charge. There were only 2 things that I really didn't like and that was someone a few rooms down from us had a dog and they didn't walk it out to the pet area. They let there dog defecate on a small patch outside our door and they didn't pick it up. I wish all pet owners were responsible pet owners they make it hard for those of us who are responsible pet owner's and pick up after our pets. The other was that the breakfast area was very small and crowded. I would recommend this hotel.

This place was disgusting. The sink was not clean, there was a bandaid left on the floor, patchwork was done half-assed, and there was mold growing in the shower. Two nights had been booked and we requested to have the second night cancelled and a refund given. The manager refused and claimed that since it was booked through a third party, only they could give the refund. When we called the third party, they called the manager to ask for a refund who — surprise, surprise — refused. The manager then lied about his facility claiming it was the best and showed as another room to prove it, stating that we could move into that room for the second night. In this room we found a piece of shit decomposing in the toilet, the towel bar ripped out of the wall, and broken electrical outlet plates. Pointing this out to the "manager, " he still claimed his place was of quality and that they would promptly fix the issues with the room. What he failed to understand though is that the issues with how he treats guest were what needed to be fixed above his wretched, low-grade establishment. This guy has no standards and does not deserve your money.

Great long weekend at the Quality Inn. Comfy bed and pillows. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Nice breakfast with a variety of items including eggs, sausage, fresh made waffles, toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Our breakfast hostess Joyce was always adding fresh items and asking if anyone needed assistance. Only 10 minutes from the Historic District and 5 minutes from the beach.

Very clean and friendly staff. The pool is very warm and very well maintained.

Floors are dirty that they turn your feet black instantly. The pool is so green that your better off swimming in a swamp. The eggs are flabby saucers and there is not many choices of other breakfast items I strongly dislike this choice of a hotel.

Smelle like mildew but the staff was nice. And the location was perfect for going where I wanted to go with not as much traffic as some of the other locations.

We had a great time here! The staff is friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast is good. They made our stay perfect! We will be back!

Good value. Nice included hot breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt cereal and muffins etc. Room had a few dings and blemishes but overall clean. A few minutes walk to the beach.

Mark at the front desk went out of his way to be helpful when Hotwire screwed up our reservations. He graciously upgraded our room to one with a hot tub. We would definitely stay here again. The rooms were very nice.

Got more here than we expected for the price. Pet friendly with a 20$ non refundable deposit. Friendly helpful staff. Pool and hot tub area is better than expected. Nice location with nearby beach access. Rooms are decent with the mini fridge and microwave and nice beds. Wi-Fi was faster than expected. Breakfast has the waffle cooker and cereal, juice, pastries as well as sausage links and egg. Only drawback is the room floors which seems to be common for this price range. Bring flip flops to wear in the room or your feet will be black.

Nasty staff (indians) argumentive. roaches came out from under the shower. Musty moldy unhealthy. manager suggested I brought the bugs in! overcharged my credit card. Took months for a refund wonder why this dump is open. and if the health dept is inspecting it, they must be sending an on-line inspection. never never return. disgusting!

Everything was wrong. The room rate was $199 since he said they only had one room left even though it was advertised for $90 online. When we arrived the room still wasn't cleaned yet. We waited while they cleaned the room. Then during the night, the AC quit. Some of the outlets didn't work. The room was so humid that with no AC it was unbearable. The pool is nasty with green algae on the bottom. It is not a feasible walk to the beach as promised. Hot breakfast was not available due to a power outage on part of the building. The worst part was the excessive humidity. It was so dirty and wet in the room that even the toilet paper didn't work!

I stayed at the Quality Inn Hotel in St Augustine Beach Fla with my family located on A1A Beach Blvd. During the night while my family slept, a cord in the wall from our microwave caught on fire and burned the wall and surrounding area. Lots of black smoke filled the room and the fire alarm (almost directly above the microwave), did not go off. It obviously was not working, Thank god my husband woke up and acted very quickly. He was able to pull out the cord. Soot got all over the place (even in our noses), but luckily no one was hurt. It was very scary! We had small children sleeping in the room. When we went downstairs to report it to the front desk, the owner said “this has never happened to anyone before. ” He was extremely rude and had no empathy. I mean seriously had my husband not woke up we could have been burned or worse! He didn’t care at all. I asked for a refund (which should have been offered). He told me I wouldn’t get a dime back. I was a bit emotional at the time and told the other guests in the breakfast area what happened. I hope those guests never book at that hotel again. It’s illegal to have a non-working fire alarm in a hotel room. I feel a moral obligation to let other people know about this hotel. It is not safe and they have been reported to the authorities.
