INSULT TO INJURY!
As Marriott Members, We were "transferred" to this hotel in lieu of the disarray at their Ocala Residence In. We were were greeted with a good dose of exasperated hostility upon our entrance. We went up to the room after noticing that EVERYTHING in the hotel appeared to be neglected, run-down and unkempt. Well it wasn't long before we realized that the A/C was not working in the bedroom and the furniture was again filthy. Called and had to re-call for tech to come and repair A/C. He was not able to repair it and had to over-ride their thermostat to get it to work. Really nice gentleman, very considerate and exceptionally caring.
It is disappointing for me to be writing this as I feel Marriott in itself is an honest and consistent brand. The two stays we had in Bothe their establishments in Ocala represented what I would call the antitheses of their brand!
Severely Disappointed to say the least.

Yes I would recommend this hotel. It Has large clean rooms, nice linens and a great restaurant.

Spacious, clean room. Very comfortable beds. Check in was fast. Unfortunately for the first time ever, an alarm clock set by a previous guest went off at 6 am and it was SO loud, took 5 minutes to shut it up while half asleep in the dark. The hotel itself is very busy and with that comes lots of noise. The people above us must be renovating their room, as it was noisy all night.

Great location. Clean, modern rooms. Pool, fitness center. Easy access to a lot of great eating, gas, shopping places.

Great place for meetings, all the employees are very courteous.

Generally speaking it is exactly what a courtyard by Marriott is supposed to be. The grounds were well manicures and clean. The kids enjoyed their time in the pool. The rooms were clean and connected as requested. Parking is generally convenient with multiple room key protected entrances around the building. Navigating in and out of parking back to the highway was a bit difficult but some signs around helped. The room was nicely updated with USB chargers with each plug and plugs provided around the rooms. The Wi-Fi while unsecured provided reasonable stored.

Like any of the Marriott family of hotels, Courtyard offers class and comfort. Entering the front door, one sees the front desk, and a mini-store to the left of it. Look right for a view of the restaurant, which includes a bar. Inside the rooms, one is not disappointed. The arrangements incite the desire to relax. If one can make it to the large pool and/or the intimacy of the hot tub, they will have had a truly relaxing experience. However, for the workout enthusiast, there is an exercise room.

Standard hotel experience. Cozy beds, plenty of pillows, convenient ice machines. Decent location, close to plenty of restaurants. Included all of the necessary/expected amenities.

Beds were soft and so easy to sleep on. It was fantastic. Staff was so polite. Was here 2 times in the last 2 weeks and both times they were very accommodating. Ask for a balcony if you prefer one, otherwise you won't get it. Bathroom on the second stay had some mildew in the corners of the shower but I was so tired it didn't bother me. Maybe someone with allergies would be bothered, but I didn't mind. Price was reasonable compared to some of the other places. This will be my go to place when I need to stay in Ocala!

Beautiful room, clean bathroom, updated furniture. I LOVED their bed! And the pool was really nice. We stayed on the 3rd floor with no balcony. If you want a balcony, make sure you read the fine print for the details of the room. I missed that information! I loved it and would recommend others.

Got here late at night after a long drive from New Orleans. Although we mafe our reservation using our AAA discount upon checking in I couldn't find my card. They refused to give me the discount without it. Overall the hotel is nice and updated. Room and beds were confortable. Small restaurant but we were in a hurry and didn't eat there. Decent experience and we would stay there again if in the area.

Arrived very early for check in and was graciously allowed to check in as my room was available. All of the staff I encountered were very courteous and friendly. The single king room was quite clean and comfortable. Having the coffee bar available in the lobby was great. I would definitely stay again.

I stayed at this hotel this past January for a business trip. The hotel stay itself was covered by my employer, but my card had to be kept on file for incidental charges. Not only did they charge my card for the hotel stay itself, I was never refunded the charges. This was after I was told that my card would be used for the express purpose of incidentals, and that the funds would be transferred back upon leaving. Not only did I deal with incompetent staff, I dealt with a very unfriendly manager who was not sympathetic to the problem at all. I will never go back to this hotel, and I advise others to do the same. For people looking for a decent hotel I would recommend the Holiday Inn or the Hilton.

Hotel is good. Cafeteria people are friendly and feel good. One front desk lady was not cooperative when I wanted to break dolled bill to quarter for laundry and she looked like she was not enjoying work. Sad.

Poor customer service. Woman who stated she was the manager was rude and had an attitude. Not helpful at all. Surprising for the area. Have stayed at this hotel before but never again. Plenty of other hotels in the area now where there didn't used to be. At least there was not critters in the restaurant area like the last time I was here. I have Hilton Honors and Starwood. Will be using them from now on.

Very nice hotel. No breakfast included but they have a nice cafe near the lobby. They make nice drinks (for a price). The bathroom could use updating. Otherwise a pleasant visit at a comfy hotel.

Excellent location to stop. Abundance of restaurants in the area. Clean room and very comfortable bed. The staff at the Bristol, Ben & Valerie were Awesome! The food was Great and the drinks, but it's their passion and the Love for what they serve each customer, that will keep us coming back. You guys Rock!

Hotel is nice. Breakfast is good. Gym needs to be cleaned and a few air fresheners.

My family booked a room on 4/4/18. At 4pm. In the meantime, later that afternoon my grandmother had a stroke and I spent till 12am in the emergency room. We called first thing at 7am to cancel this reservation. We expected some kind of cancellation fee. But was told the fee was entire rate of the room, And there was nothing they could do for us. Is this standard procedure? We would appreciate a response or explanation. But as of now we certainly would not recommend this place if this is what one will expect out of customer service during an emergency. We use Marriott frequently for business and pleasure. We are very disappointed.

Our friends were staying there. They remarked their room was clean. They didn't recommend the breakfast. Good selection of food but not to their taste.

Rooms are nice hotel seems clean, staff is not friendly also when we booked the room we was told there was complimentary breakfast. When I asked where it was I was told that no there is not and I should take it up with courtyard since that was how the reservation was made. Very rude staff and will not stay with courtyard again. Also be prepared to not get a parking spot and walk all the way around the hotel. Very disapointed marriott.

The staff was courteous and friendly. No request seemed to big or a bother to them. The environment was great and I will be recommending this easily findable and accessible site.

It was a very good experience. I was given an upgrade upon my arrival. The staff was friendly and the location was very good. Gas, restaurants, and an abundance of shops for shipping.

Our visit was really, really good. Clean room. Great mattresses. Good Wi-Fi. Good TV with fast channel changing. The shower was good and hot. The USB charging outlet and 110V outlets built into the desk are a great idea. My only nitpick was pillows that were too soft. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The newly lobby, and banquet rooms are awesome. And they made a difference! The used furnishings they donated to Habitat for Humanity of Marion County to sell in their ReStore helps them build affordable homes. They are good corporate citizens who invest into the community.

Great place to stay. No free breakfast, but they have a nice small cafe/bistro for breakfast and light dinner. Rooms are snug but comfortable.

On Friday, 9/8/17 my wife and I fled from Miami to avoid the path of category 4 hurricane Irma. At the time we had no idea where we would lodge, we just knew we had to get out of the path of this mean machine. We jumped on I-75 (along with what seemed like the rest of south Florida) north and drove until we ended up in Ocala, Florida. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Waffle House and then start the daunting task of calling all of the hotels in the area. Call after call we were being told the same message, "sorry, we are sold out". The Courtyard Marriott was just about the last hotel left to try. When we called they told us they had accommodations for Friday and Saturday night, but not Sunday. Sunday was the day that Irma was due to strike. Needless to say, to took the room for Friday and Saturday. Upon check-in we were helped by the front manager called Melanie, she was fantastic! Very friendly, and with a smile on her face the entire time! We explained to her that we were very concerned that we wouldn't have a room or a place to lodge on Sunday. She told us she would do all she could, and advise us of any cancelations. Melanie checked in with us at least once letting us know that she didn't forget about us. BAM, someone cancelled on Saturday evening and we were in luck! A big thank you to Melanie and the entire team at the Ocala Courtyard Marriott, well done! — Maurice & Albina.

Awesome restroom on the first floor. Everything is automated, so you don't have to touch anything. Sign of a good hotel if you ask me.

Made a pit stop here traveling from Pensacola to ft Lauderdale. The price was right and the rooms were clean. It had a cracker barrel beside it which made it a plus. There is a Starbucks inside with limited drinks. Excepts military discounts also. 4 people $101.00

Nice room, mattress a bit soft for my loving it bit I slept just fine. Beautiful pool area. Nice restaurant with nice pricing too. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I'll stay there again when I'm next in Ocala.

Nothing but promblems since checked in! We got back from the pool around 8pm weren't in the room more then 10 mins got a call from front desk saying there were complaints we were to nosiy and needed to keep it down! Which was ridiculous as we were just talking and watching tv. As we were going to bed there were drunk guest yelling for over 2 hours slamming there doors. Also both Day and night time staff at front desk were completely rude, not helpful and just hated there job and couldn't wait to go home! We will not be staying here again!

I will not return to this hotel. I got this hotel through priceline. I booked a room with double beds. When I checked in at 4pm they didn't have any of those rooms available. When I got to my room which was located around the back of the hotel there was a sign stating to use the towels more than one day
I was in Ocala for a high school graduation. The next day the cleaning service knocked on my door around 930am. I would not recommend this hotel. I didn't get the "I love this hotel" feeling.

I usually love Marriott properties but this one was the worst stay I've ever had. Cleaning service must have been shortstaffed because returning to bryn at 6 PM the room still had not been cleaned. Keys continually did not work having to go all the way around to the front of the building to get new keys. Front desk staff was rude. Called about an item left in the hotel with no response care or concern. Rooms are beautiful but staff is a no go for me.

This place was great. Starbucks in the lobby and a good full breakfast menu. Room was clean and had a nice view of the pool. Recommend staying their.

I wish I had the front desk receptionist name. She was amazing. Would definitely stay here again and also recommend it to others.

Had a great stay. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Service was also top notch.

The room was clean, newly renovated and furnished with all the necessities. The check-in was quick and seamless. The front desk agent offered us info on local restaurants and facilitated a room move when we discovered the room we had been given had two beds.

I travel extensively and do not usually post reviews however, If you decide to stay at this hotel take all of your valuables into the the room with you. My car was burglarized and some valuables were taken. When I told them at the front desk they told me that I could file a police report but they didnt have any servailance cameras. Long story short. Be careful here.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights when we moved into the area. The staff was excellent, rooms were clean and we LOVED the Starbucks coffee. The staff, front desk, Bistro, and maids were incredibly friendly and professional. No problem staying there again.
