Reviews of Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort 4*
We were in room 702. Lovely ocean view. Room was clean, bed not that comfortable. Check in super slow. Under construction wasn’t mention when booking.
Pay $25 a day to park my own car across the street! One working outlet… made my coffee in the floor of said outlet. Dripping from AC filter in ceiling to floor cause not only a midnight slip and slide, but a splashy puddle. Maintenance did arrive and fix by 826am I cleaned up the mess! AC started dripping again at 1030am. Called Rosie — very helpful — will send someone. Rosie called later, still no one… Rosie called again… still no one. Then someone (maybe Nicole) called — will put you in another room. Fast forward to 312pm when I could move my luggage… got in another room FURTHER away from where we were. Ice machine on 11th floor does not work. Jetted tub does not work — "due to the construction". Still… no one to fix the dripping water. Will be interesting to see how much water it will hold before the ceiling starts to cave. The bellman was wonderful on arrival. Rosie has been kind, helpful, and polite. Nicole has not been kind, helpful, or polite. We did ask for a comp on our room or another nights stay — — Nicole said, "that is not the way it works. " So there.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my friends or family. The location is great but that is all. The hotel staff is rude especially the valet employees. The rooms are dirty, they don't clean the rooms only provide towels. All the amenities are closed and the resort is under constructions which is not listed when you book a room. As for the parking you have to self park across a 4 landed highway close to a gas station and hope you don't get mugged or murdered. If you ask for anything you won't receive it.
Nice hotel but it would have been nice if they told people there was construction of the pool, hot tub etc. Not cool since we were looking forward to those amenities not just the beach 👎🏻
Good service. Reception and location
Trunk Manny very attentive and helpful
Thank you.
I booked a one bedroom suite and got a room with 2 beds. Pool is closed and so is arcade. False advertising at its finest! would never recommend this place.
Great location. And best service.
Beautiful hotel great people great customer service would highly recommend this hotel.
Clean place, friendly staff and amazing location.
The room that was given to us was gross. Dirty everything. The Sofabed was super dirty. Never again.
Excellent service, good rooms, excellent sea view.
Great location and nice pier.
Best resort we've ever stayed at! we were so relaxed and felt so welcomed! Grace from the Tiki Bar was the best, she was Soo nice and so welcoming!
We just left the Newport Beachside Resort! We had an amazing week! Way to many pros, Absolutely Amazing and Friendly workers who go out of their way for anything you need, Very Clean, The Bellhop even found my son who recently broke his ankle, a Walker from a closet! I couldn’t speak more highly of the staff, in the entire place! The beach was so clean and beautiful too! Everyone was happy, helpful and pleasant! The only con is the parking is located across a major road, but that’s not the hotels fault really! We will def be back! Thanks for an amazing trip and too many fun memories!
Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Bar and food were great and affordable and Tiki bartender Lauren was beautiful person nice and Lord could she make some delicious drinks my husband and I love her! ❤️. Overall the whole atmosphere the beach, staff was a great experience. If being honest the room was nothing like the picture but the oceanfront view made up for it BIG TIME! We will definitely be returning with our children and hopefully this can become a permanent vacation spot!
This place is absolutely amazing… everything's perfect, The people that write bad reviews are just Karens!
So incredibly disappointed, and we literally just checked in. The staff is incredibly nice, and the beach views are great, but the rooms are awful. Dirty and stained everywhere. I’m completely heartbroken that we booked this for a “honeymoon-ish” trip and the room looks nothing like what is advertised. I would expect the quality of a room like this at a Super 8 or Motel 6.
I love this place, I’ve stayed here several times… location, location, location! the staff has been extra specialty friendly, smilingly and accommodating!
Wonderful hotel with everything you need at one location. Family friendly as well as a great couples retreat! Tiki bar is fantastic 😀
If I could give a 0 star to this hotel, I definitely would have.
I walk into the hotel and to my big surprise water is spilled all over the floor at the entrance of the hotel room. I was gonna slip real bad and break my face but luckily I noticed it. The amenities advertised on their website are a big lie, and half the stuff advertised are not fulfilled as promised.
Coming with 2 babies making messes, they don’t clean the rooms, I had to myself call housekeeping and require a broom, mop and vacuum to pick up after my kids, you can imagine the beautiful vacation I’ve had.
Moreover, I’ve placed a grocery Walmart order to be delivered at the hotel, upon delivery, the manager Reggie did not accept my order, lied and told the Walmart driver that no reservation existed under my name.
When I went down to the front desk and asked to pick up my grocery order, the manager tells me that he refused the delivery because he didn’t notice my name under the reservation. I had my 2 babies whining to eat and had no food for them, I kindly ask the manager Reggie to accommodate us and give me a free voucher to feed my children but he refuses and laughs in my face.
This is absurd and inhuman and such unprofessionalism of a manager to act this way. I will in NO WAY EVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE! STAY AWAY!
This manager was not human and had no heart whatsoever, he saw my 2 babies crying for food and yet still refused to even hand them a cookie.
Friendly staff, amazing view and room, clean beach best stay we had.
Close to the beach and great customer service.
Where do I start? This is a very old and very unclean hotel. Absolutely nothing is included. The valet parking isn’t available anymore. They make you park across the street. No big deal right? Well you have to pay $26 a day for that and its owned by the hotel. And they rent out those spots to non guest as well. So we ended up not getting a spot until 9pm each day. We had to walk to get our car and park it at night to avoid getting towed. Our jucuzzi tub didn’t work. We were told they were all shut off for covid? Huh. The manager actually said people take showers instead to prevent covid. The ceiling was falling in above tub, it wouldnt drain and there was a water leak in our room. The carpet was coming up? Our porch light was busted and a bird had nested in it, a glob of green snot was on our slider. Tiki huts they show are $100 a day. The chairs are free but good luck getting one. The cafe is closed and the restaurant is awful with floors that are coming up and cracked. I did complain many times. I was promised my parking and resort fee back but that hasn’t happened. We booked through priceline. We called them today again. The hotel is now claiming we never told them anything and that we enjoyed our stay. They are trying to get out of the refund. Lets see my half an hour argument at checkout with the manager on your security camera. Folks this a 1 star motel. Literally anywhere else is better.
Excellent Customer Service!
Minus some of the men staff were really rude but overall it's a nice place especially for children and families (the staff who where the suits.
Very good resort… and good service.
Unfortunately this is our last night here (back to reality tomorrow). It was an awesome stay! The staff we encountered were kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The views outside were absolutely breathtaking. This mini vacation was exactly what we needed!
The staff here is rude the security guards are rediculous.
Beautiful beach, awesome outdoor waiting staff.
Excellent support from front desk staff. Very responsive to requests. Beautiful setting.
Great place love the drinks and food.
Beautiful oysters and a great menu. Good service. A bit expensive but it’s good quality and safely socially distanced. The fish is a bit expensive but it’s worth a visit.
Had fun, it would’ve been nice if renovations have been completed. It was a little noisy but still nice.
Unfortunately this was very disappointing. Extremely small rooms and the room itself was old and unkept.
Best customer service employees and attention to detail.
I loved this hotel with a beautiful view a staff of divine workers, excellent and very attentive pending at all times all guests deserves to be a 5 star hotel thank you for all again greetings from Maria Lorenzo…
I did not like that from early on I heard a vibration in the room and that bothered me the rooms is very spacious and has nice view.
Daniel R — Amazing guest service agent. Very helpful and a consummate professional.
Excellent care, clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfasts. The staff very friendly.
No hot water Not enough bar stools or staff they had to run to other bars for food and drinks leaving the bar unattended making people wait poor management if any!
Nice atmosphere and beautiful resort!
Great hotel! love the rooms & the ocean view!
After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous to stay here. We took a chance and we did have a great time. The rooms did need updating, but our room was cleaned daily. We didn’t have any issues with the staff being rude like most bad reviews say. We did have an issue one time with the elevator not going down but we were able to press the open button and get out with no problem. Benny was our bar tender in the main lobby bar and he was excellent! He was so helpful with any questions we had and he also recommended places for us to eat. We had such a good time with him. Overall we had a good stay, despite the bad weather. If we ever go back to Sunny Isles, I would stay here again.
After they charge you resort fee, you still have to pay for the cabanas! Then I asked for blanket and pillows so my kids can use the pull out bed and they sent us a very ugly old quilt and a pillow that is not usable and will cause migraine if used. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. After all these trouble, the kids did not use the pull out bed because the mattress is very uncomfortable. We slept in one bed and my other kid used the pull out bed as a couch to sleep in. The Wi-Fi is ridiculously slow, the staff were rude the housekeeping staff raised her voice to my kid, room is very old and loud from people walking by and elevator is barely working.
1 STAR
Toilet would not flush there was no water in the tank, jacuzzi tub was clogged filling the tub with water while trying to shower, heat was blowing cool air on 80 degrees and above. Complimentary fruit infused water was it. Elevator stopped with us in it we had to force the doors open. Stained carpet in room and hallways no camera surveillance for safety and the parking fees run from 22-28 dollars per day. Don’t waste your time here unless you see them knock this structure down and rebuild it from the ground up.
I don’t know where these people are getting these negative reviews from. I’m here now and check out tomorrow and I have had such a GREAT experience. We’ve ordered room service quite a few times and they give such giant portions and the food is so good. I’ve ordered the steak 3 times now because I’ve never had a steak so good. I have not had to deal with any of the negative things people have posted on here. No wet floors or mold. The workers are so nice. There is a front desk clerk named Brionna who needs a raise ASAP! She was so nice. I can’t even get over how amazing this time has been for my honeymoon. I was gifted this experienced with someone who uses RCI. I hope people keep a positive mindset. Being nice to people gets you FAR here. Show compassion to those who deal with so many different people everyday. Thank you Newport beachside hotel for making my honeymoon spectacular!
Staff are clearly unhappy with their jobs… customer service is nonexistent! Rudeness and crabby attitude was the norm every day during our stays (before and after our cruise)
Husband and I stayed at this resort this past weekend and honestly after reading other reviews I was concerned that our stay would not be as expected but as soon as we arrived the lobby was beautiful (the parrots were our favorite) and the staff was welcoming. Check in was fast. Yes the rooms are dated and the elevators can get annoying and scary when they shake unusually as the doors open but I think the staff/pool/pier make up for it. The rooms were clean and so was the beach. We dined in at kitchen 305 our first night (we sat at the bar) and the bartender was very pleasant although the food was not the best. The fish tacos at the beach bar however were amazing! Drinks there not so good && they were a little on the pricey side. The cabanas by the beach are nice and walking along the beach was too! Overall we enjoyed our stay!
Visited for treatment at Aveda spa which included lunch and lounge chairs by the pool for the day. Great value, dont miss a walk down the pier!
Excellent service and are very friendly.
Loved the hotel and the beach! Everyone was very nice and friendly!
Awesome! View, service, weather, staff ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The place to be for excellent quality service, delicious food and great atmosphere. Go get your fun own. Mareeta McIntyre.
Great Hotel! Wonderful Ambience!
Amazing food and drinks by the ocean!
Service is fantastic.
We love our Oceanside room! The view is amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food and staff are so nice. We would stay here again for sure!
We are just about to check out of the hotel this morning. I wanted to add this review because based on FB & Tripadvisor reviews I almost spent a lot of money changing our hotel in Miami and that money would have been wasted. We’ve had a really pleasant stay at Newport Beach Hotel. Yes, it does have some faults, all of which, from what I can see, are down to condensation and lack of any extraction fans etc in rooms, but this is an older building. The rooms are a little dated, but very clean! We upgraded to a two bed suite after our first night here, so experienced two rooms, both of which were spotlessly clean. The pool and beach area at the end of the day were in need of a bit of a clean up, but it’s a busy, family hotel. I’ve seen just as bad in 5* resorts, which Newport Beach doesn’t claim to be. Each morning there was a crew out cleaning the public areas ready for the day ahead. We arrived on a Saturday evening and were checked in very quick and easily. There was quite a bit of noise in the lobby from guests at the bar area and then down on the pier there seemed to be a bit of a party atmosphere. However with the door closed we heard barely a peep and my partner said that when he woke at midnight the grounds were in silence. Each time we encountered any staff, be it valet, front desk, bell hop, all of the, were more than pleasant and took time to say good morning/evening as you passed.
Everyone that worked there was awesome.! I loved the beach bar and felt like I actually had made a few friends there. Brooke is awesome, the chef that I don’t know what his name is? at the beach bar (very creative with excellent food and passion), I could go on and on as I got to know many of the employees by name and they made my visit very special. Since I have worked in hospitality for 33 years, I noticed that Everyone was very friendly and professional. LOL! I know how it can be behind the scenes but they never showed that out front … Which means they are well trained and top-notch employees. They were always friendly and upbeat. It is such a beautiful place and I have been considering moving to Florida that I am going to send you my resume. Loved it.
Please just look at all of the other reviews, this place is an absolute nightmare! STAY AWAY! Just like others have mentioned, the rooms look nothing like the photos, are beat up and not maintained. Maria the hotel reservation wannabe specialist was extremely rude and assisting me with my reservation constantly talking over me, even mentioning that an upgrade may not be in my budget. You definitely don't say that to a reserved guest in the hotel industry. I had a leaking AC unit in my room and when I asked the front desk for a water he snarled and said that they have none and I would have to get it from the vending machine… that's on top of the $30 Resort fee and all the other parking fees and 13% tax on top. Again stay away! bottom line This Place does not care about their guests and does not care to stay in business. Will never be back and it will tell everyone about my terrible experience…
Not as expected. Lobby is nice. Rooms need to be updated. Walls are paper thin. The advertising of the rooms looks way better than they actually are. Pool and bar is nice. Beach is lonely and scarce. Not ever room has a balcony and there is quite a bit of ghetto people here smoking weed with boom boxes.
The lobby is beautiful. The rooms, not so much. Carpets and rooms need much updating. The bathrooms are small and the layout is not efficient. The elevators take forever and are so small, you have to let one or two go before you can get on. The freight elevator must have been broken, two days in a row there were workers with garbage in the non-freight elevators. The pool area was a mess. Bottles and food all over. The pool signs clearly state no drinks or food in the pool. But the bar workers were serving drinks to people in the pool. Kids were messing around with the (unused) lifeguard chair and no one stopped them. There needs to be someone dedicated to policing the pool area. It is a nice area, but is being ruined. I will be back, but hope improvements are made.
For 250$ for 1 night it wasn't worth it. Seemed really nice walking in. 4th floor though I was in a horror movie! Walls and crown molding had water damage. Mold on the ceilings sink in bathroom broken. The beach was beautiful refused to get in the water as it smelled of. The pool is supposed to have rules people do as they want. Is it legal to smoke marijuana in Florida? Sorry not fond of every breath being of marijuana! People brought their own music it's "supposedly" family oriented haha lost that with the marijuana and nasty music playing!
What makes this place fair is the fact that we have an “updated room”, if you consider updated, rugs that are cut and placed improperly on the floor, dirty carpet and room, and a balcony door that doesn’t open or close correctly. In the bathroom, the tiles were falling off the front of the tub… caulking was coming off as well. Not to mention, we are time share owners and have been coming here for 16 years — we have never experienced such horrible conditions. The towels given at the pool are at the point that they are falling apart, the pool area is full of people that aren’t hotel guests or guests of the hotel guests. The hotel and its premises are full of random people. They book so many events that your guests don’t have a place to park because they are more concerned with their events than the people staying there. Additionally, now there’s a rule of no outside food of any sort. We have always taken snacks for the kids, or bought subway, or fruit/veggie platters — this time we had chips for the kids (inside our bags) and they asked us to take the food and remove it from the pool deck. Although there people with 2 liter coke bottles out on their tables and outside food. The pool attendant formed a HUGE show in front of everyone and they even called security on us (over chips). Lastly… although I can go on for hours… this place went from a family friendly resort to a place where all they care about is the money they make.
When we entered Newport Beachside, we found dozens of guests in the lobby, it felt like walking into a hotel that belonged more in a city like Orlando. The property has a swimming pool, beach, restaurants and direct access to the Sunny Isles waterfront. You can to rent jet skis, fishing rods or just sit and enjoy the scenery from the pier. Although the rooms have been recently renovated, the hotel still looks a bit old-fashioned and the elevators are usually full. It offers an ideal setting for families as long as they don't mind spending time with many other guests. If you wish to have a delicious fried fish while enjoying the ocean view, we recommend the Beach Bar restaurant which is located right before the pier.
Good hotel with the beach view. Hotel does need a little touch up. Staff is excellent and helpful. Myrna Edwards at the front desk have arranged our accommodations as we needed bigger room. One bedroom is not as big, it's more like a studio, good for couples but with kids defiantly very small. We got 2 bedroom 2 bath room with beach front view for a little extra charge a day for upgrade, thanks to Myrna Edwards for excellent costumer service!
Excellent front desk service from Niccole! Her and the other staff get a 10 out of 10! Room was just as described and was updated very nicely! We were in a 2 bedroom suite — 963. Hallways on that floor were a little retro but melded in nicely with the vibe that is Miami! Pool bar staff, food and drinks get a 9 out of 10 one bartender was exceptionally nice to my children when they spilled their $20some huge frozen non-alcoholic iced drink! The other one just ignored them so that brought the 10 to the 9! Pool bathroom was not clean (but that had to do probably with people being disrespectful) and the tile around the inside of the pool really needed a good cleaning! Downstairs bar before going out to the pool was nice however it was right around check-in time and the bartender was quite snippy with me and another guest. Was a 10 but he made the experience a 1! The breakfast buffet staff, food and cleanliness was a 10! But all in all I give the whole experience 9 out of 10.
It's an affordable hotel by the ocean. The lobby is nice. They have several pools and a spa. The personnel was professional and the location is fantastic. However the 305 Cafe is absolutely horrible and our hotel bathroom had hair all over it. They could do a little better housekeeping. But the price was right. I would stay here again.
I stay at this hotel with my family all the time. My favorite thing about this hotel is the fun activities they have for all ages and the pier in the beach right behind the hotel. We always get the most basic room because the price is great for the value and I love how you can simply just walk to the beach and soak up rays. The lobby is very nice and relaxing because even though there's usually a lot of customers around, there are some birds/parrots in these big cages that are just a nice, unique sight. The beach area is always clean and has rental options for extra sitting or bungalows. Overall a great family place. This hotel was recently renovated so now they have a brand new spa and brand new pier. I really want to visit again!
When checking in, we were told of a deposit that would be placed on our credit card, but no amount. We then received a final bill prior to check out showing a different amount, originally when we booked the room it was also a different amount than the two above amounts. When we first entered our room that was ready at 11:45am for check-in vs when they initially said it would be at 4:00pm we were to discover the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. Then upon checking out the pool area, the hot tub was out of order. After realizing we had a jetted tub, we thought we would use that, we thought wrong. The water was dispensing green in color, also you could see above the tub that the ceiling mold had been painted over, was currently flaking and dripping. There were a couple of items I could speak of in terms of room cleanliness, but generally it was not well cleaned. When entering the room to see the kitchen, there’s a notice stating that housekeeping does not regularly give clean dishes to the rooms unless requested. My question: What dishes? We didn’t have any other than four drinking glasses. Upon our early check-in compared to 4:00pm, the concierge told us we had missed all of the excursions for the day due to our arrival time. This was comical because the front desk staff was happy to get us in early. My overall experience, I’m very glad it was short, and you won’t find me coming back in the future.
The location is very nice and the beach is very clean. The neighborhood has little attraction. A vehicle is required.
Utterly disappointed. Check in literally 15-20 minutes ago. Had purchased a stay here form visiting prior and were shown rooms that were updated and modernized. Come back to check in today to use the days we had purchased, get to our room and this room has not been touched since literally 1960. Crusty black on the pillow cases. Trying to work and have no internet connection in my room. Call to see if an upgrade is available or another room in general that looks anywhere near like the room we were "sold" on originally. Current room also looks nothing like the updated decor pictures on the website. We were told this is the only room available and no other rooms were available besides the "classic" (which is simply a "classic" dirt hotel room). Also were told the Wi-Fi only works in the lobby and not in the rooms. Highly disappointed with the "sales pitch" on showing updated rooms and only offering "dirt" rooms to be availlable. Mind you we are in a suite and stated we have no issues with a standard room not a suite and it could even have 2 double beds instead of a king. Also stated we would be willing to pay something to upgrade as it is a disgrace. Again told no other options besides the type of room we were in. Hats off to you for being another slimy snake hotel! I advise no one to stay here as they are not willing to accommodate at all, even with me willing to offset some costs by paying for an upgrade or willing to take a smaller room in general.
All the negative comments below about this hotel are true. My husband and I booked a week stay at this hotel for our anniversary and was greatly disappointed. I was told that we would receive a newly remodeled room and it was absolutely disgusting. When you enter the hotel lobby it is really nice but beyond the Lobby needs to be gutted and remodeled. The best thing about this hotel is the location. I noticed the next morning at breakfast the ceiling was leaking while people were eating their food. There's mildew and very nasty carpet throughout the Hotel. This is so sad because it's the perfect location they should tear it down and rebuild another one. We tried to leave the hotel the first night, but was unable to. We ended up booking a hotel down the street for the remainder of our stay in Florida. I wish I could post pictures of what it really looks like.
I'm only giving this resort a 3 because of the location. Our room faced the ocean and the entire wall was glass. It was spectacular to wake up and see the sun rising over the water from the comfort of our bed. The front desk staff was very friendly and professional and the lobby itself was very nice. Our room, however, was outdated and in need of maintenance. The bathroom could have been cleaner and the balcony had large cracks in the foundation. There was also some work being done to the ceiling outside of our room where wires and such were hanging out. It was a lovely view, but the hotel needs some work. I see in other comments that they are planning to start renovations. I hope to come back and see the updates!
I have a timeshare here. The hotel is bit dated unfortunately and the reason why I give 3 stars. It is however a great location and convenient to many restaurants, shopping centers and gym (my favorite). I stayed in an ocean front room my last visit — — it made the datedness not seem that bad. I do recommend for families since it has proper amenities. If you are looking for romance its definitely not the place to go. It's a popular spot and does get crowed.
OK I did a late check in. The guy at the desk was nice. At first glance the lobby is beautiful, but bc of previous reviews I was ready for the worst. Once I got into the elevator I realized this hotel was a bit dated. Once on my floor (4), it looked like a totally different place from back in the day. I opened the door to my room and was surprised to see the updated room. Granite counter space, plenty of closet space, a separated living room area, fridge, safe, microwave all hidden. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub with two shower heads, one removable or hand held. My couch is worn, bed was fine (no bed bugs), but sheets weren't perfectly white. They were clean but dingy. As were the pillow cases. I slept well in the bed. I have yet to try the restaurantsso I can't comment. The beach is in the back of the swimming pools. You have to wear a wrist band for both. You have a key card for towels at the pool which if you loose it will cost you $10 put feet card. Also if you have guest you pay for the wrist bands. I'm only here for 3 nights. It's not a five star but it is doable for the price. I hope this helps. I'll post some pictures later, but the ones on line are pretty accurate in my experience.
I made a reservation with Expedia in this hotel. I called the hotel before that to make sure they have a wheelchair accessible rooms. They confirmed that and I made a reservation for a room with partial ocean view and balcony. Then I called a hotel to reserve a room in advance, as I have a special needs and I need to be sure that I will feel comfortable. They told me that they have only a city view room without a balcony for my needs and that I will not get any refund for changing from partial ocean view with balcony to city view. WHICH IS NOT FAIR! I was upset but okay, I agreed and asked to reserve a room. They told me that they can’t do it, it’s first come first serve system. I can’t live in any other room! I need a guarantee that I will get a wheelchair accessible room or I won’t be available to simply take a shower. But they don’t care! They keep telling that they can’t help me! I really regret that chose this hotel! I will never recommend it to anyone.
Well I have not had the opportunity to know inside but I have asked my friends who has been there and say it is an unforgettable experience I hope a day to be and be able to give my own opinion God bless.
Outstanding stay, I travel a lot and have slept in many upscale hotels but never stayed in one that when you walked in to the lobby the aroma was so nice, you just have to smile, it actually makes you feel good. The rooms are nice, though the balcony needed a facelift, but easily over looked with the ocean view. "Manny" one of the "bell hops" was beyond helpful and his personality was priceless. The rates are as good as it gets, for the service that you receive! I will certainly stay here again when I'm in Miami!
Perfect Futto dispenser of water with strawberries cucumbers and lemons that with the hot weather of Miami is perfect. Only fault ball air conditioning but in Miami it's so everywhere.
Good hotel, close to everything, supermarkets, shopping centre, restaurant, pharmacy.
Good hotel, good breakfast, very nice ambiance, near hotel are supermarkets, restaurants, shopping entertainment, everything there. Aventura Mall by bus 10 minutes.
This was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The pocket bathroom door had never been cleaned, had to open and close it with toilet paper in your hand. Had to call twice in one day to get toilet paper. Stayed for 6 nights, shower never cleaned, tables and counter tops never cleaned, had to ask for clean glasses every day, finally got some 3 days later. Always had to ask for face cloths and hand towels. Some days the toilets weren't cleaned. Front desk staff said they would do something about it, but just ignored your requests. Valet very expensive, and staff very rude. Very expensive hotel for what it was. Not quite sure how it is called a resort. Beach staff not very friendly either. First and last visit to this hotel!
The hotel was nice. It has a very rich smell. We were in a first floor room with which we had no major drawbacks with the Wi-Fi. The signal was pretty good. The room was spacious and comfortable. Cleanliness was a review. One day they forgot to change the garbage cans ' bags and some stains on the floor that were at our entrance, followed until the last day with which they did not pass the rag. We can't make the heating work. It has a way to the beach. They offer free lounge chairs and towels. The pool has warm water. Very nice. They charge the parking lot that's in front. The reception is not fluent in Spanish.
A disgrace this hotel, they say to have 3 stars and do not reach half, lousy maintenance building, so so the entrance mat is worn and broken by the time, exists on the roof of the building a wall of at least one Metrobus covers a cellular antennae s that fell in part and still has part of that masonry hanging towards the entrance of the hotel jeopardizing the integrity of the guests. The first impression when arriving at the hotel was not good as at the entrance there were indecently dressed prostitutes chatting with hotel staff in exaggerated form! Imagine coming with children to the place!, staff a very bad deal disaster, trained or bilingual little or no staff, beach staff rude and arrogant!, rooms left in the decade of the 60 without maintenance, the outer glasses dirty with the saltpeter of years!, none of the exterior windows open, the glasses are not safety, many noises, the Wi-Fi never worked. In the end price exaggerated quality, I do not recommend it for pets. Luck.
Very bad reception. And the cleanliness of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired. For the use Q we gave him, the hotel is fine. Spacious, comfortable and complete room. Would not return.
The ocean view rooms are definitely worth it. A few restaurants with happy hour on site. Beach chairs and towels included with stay! But be prepared for a $22 resort fee each day. The elevators are small and there are often lines waiting to go up at busy times.
Nice pool and beach. The clerk who took us check-in did not inform us well, and we had a misunderstanding with the account. Ask for everything in writing. The hallways lack some cleaning. Not the rooms. These are great.
I don't have enough vocabulary to describe the insurmountable deficiencies of this hotel.
The only positive thing is Q is by the sea.
Old, dirty, sloppy, unattended, stinky.
The furniture is scratched, broken Internet works when and where you want clearly this to be closed and renovated.
As this can not follow the photos that can go up make me fear that the one who sees them frighten the staff of the voucher parking is rude and arrogant invite to receive gifts of welcome Q is not more Q a deception to sell excursions at exorbitant prices. And the famous gift is always exhausted impossible to convey the disgust that is to stay in this hotel.
Avoidance.
This is a very visited place, everytime I came here is crowded, it's a good place for families. Have a live restaurant-bar, very nice and always serving nice food. It's near the pier so you can get romantic anytime that you want. Also serves like a wedding place or other kind of ceremonies and lastly but not worse, they have a great spa with packages that include the whole day in the swimming pool with lunch included. Resuming, this is one of the best places to come in sunny isles because they also sells tours to everywhere in South Florida.
Great location Good price. Our room was not what was pictured on web site. Sofa bed sheets were dirty. Called to get sheets and they just brought them to the door. We had to strip the bed and remake ourself. Overall enjoyed our stay.
Zero stars if I could! Please be assured that I am a real person giving a real review. Do not stay here. Lobby is deceiving in how updated it looks but the rooms are dirty and old. Carpet in hallways is in terrible condition and be careful you dont trip over all the ripples in it. Air conditioning barely worked. Window next to bed looked out directly on to a rooftop… window level… that is covered in garbage and cigarette butts that previous guests were obviously throwing out the room window from the "non-smoking room". At night the wind picked up and started to blow the garbage against the window. At first we thought someone was out there banging on the window. Finally looked out the window and realized garbage had collected on the window along with a small surf board and it was all blowing up against our window in the wind (see photos). We called the front desk to see if someone could help us with getting out there to get it off the roof and away from the window. My husband is on crutches and window was up to high for me. They took the call but never sent anyone to help so it just continued to hit the window all night in the high wind. TV was missing on the wall in the living room part of our suite with only the wall mount remaining. One bedside table. I don't know how this place got such high reviews unless it was from fake reviews. The only good part of the hotel was the beach. Check in/out lines long due to not enough staff.
I got to sleep in a bedroom with no window. If I closed the door it was claustrophobic. By day I had to move with artificial light. Much jacuzzi with mirrors and little natural light.
Good pool and beach.
Excellent I love not tipping the valet parking you start to look bad and no one runs out to find your car jajajja eao I love.
One of only a few other hotels in Freeport.
The hotel was very nice and the location was very good. The breakfast buffet is not cheap, but it's good to experience it from time to time. Excellent restaurant pier or pier, very good sushi, plus the scenery complements everything. The Marshall in front is a perdition! And there is a Colombian restaurant where you eat very good and cheap, healthy and homemade food. Miami was made to enjoy it, kid.
The Newport Resort is beautiful. Fantastic service, rooms are health.
I went to an event on a weeknight recently. The valet service was unavailable. The drinks were expensive. Of the 70 plus people who went I'm aware of 6 who got sick on the same meal… including me and my wife… we had the beef. I used to work in a restaurant and I'm aware of how proprietors can go wrong with operations. This upsets me greatly. My first time there so this is strictly anecdotal. Maybe you'll have a better experience.
Location a little bit run down but direct access to the beach. The area has little attraction. Um vehicle is required.
Initial room (partial ocean view suite) we had was awful. It looked worse than a low end motel 8 room. Looked nothing like the pictures and the view was of a roof with a small view of the ocean. We asked for another room which they gave and that looked great. Just like the pictures. However, the reason for the poor rating is because of the first room. They should have paid me to stay in that room. I don't recommend this hotel/resort. It's not worth the risk.
Good place to spend with family. Very good beach. Rooms according to the price. Food Plaza in front of the hotel. In summary very good.
It's a good hotel. The area is sunny Island. Av. Collins Al 16700 is very nice. But eye are fixing the beach and to get into the water have to walk 400 meters to the beach next.
I don't recommend it. Room too expensive for what it really is, a three star. The parking is charged separately, the sink was clogged, hair on the towels. If you want to enjoy your holiday do not pass by this hotel, look for another better!
Nice for couples, we went in family and the rooms for 4 are girls, they have no kitchen, just a small microwave. The beach is good. It has parking but they do not take care of what can happen to the cars since it is open. We were expecting more for the type of hotel that we were recommended.
This is an average old hotels of titanic era of 2 stars with all fake pictures posted here. Hotel building, rooms and amenities are pretty old and it not like that it is shown in the pictures at booking sites. Half of the beach side view shown in picture is not this hotel properties including the path Bridge international sea and falsely displayed. Poolside is also pretty old and like a 2 star or a highway side average hotel. We books based on the false pictures and We stayed here for 4 days. The hotel is simply over priced for whatever it is. Checkout time is 11 am but our door was knocked thrice before 11 for checkout. Hotel building is covered by two other nearby other hotels new buildings but not shown in pictures (falsely) which outshine this hotel completely. We booked a particial sea view room which is shown to have good view in pictures but they have given a worst possible room in that row which is most like city view. There one bedroom suit is tinny and like a room which forcefully converted into 1 bedroom n hall.
The place is great but you can tell is an old hotel with minor upgrades. The elevator are small and old. Plus, they work half the time. It could not handle the capacity of people getting on and off. Also, the workers would be cram in the elevator so no space for the residents to get up or down. I notice there was a service elevator I don't know if it didn't work or not but I believe the employee should be using that one. I had to use the stairway several time and I stayed on the 10th floor. It was a good work out. But I didn't want to be sweating before I go out.
The room was allocated hour and a half after check in, after 7 times of requesting extra blankets they finally delivered them and the seller of the souvenir shop was very heavy (do not buy in that store). Upon checkout we were charged 22 USD extras per room for use of the facilities and only used the pool and access to the beach.
I was very hesitant about booking here from all the reviews but was willing to gamble for the location. The first lady I approached at front desk didn't bother to tend to me, asked a fellow coworker to help me instead. He was very welcoming and I was able to check in 3 hrs early with no problems. Yes the elevators, hallways and rooms all need updating but after seeing my view from my partial ocean view it didn't bother me as much. If the guests weren't so lazy to pick up after themselves the beach wouldn't be so dirty even though there are plenty of trash bins around for that. The main thing I really didn't like about the hotel was my restroom. It didn't have a fan/vent, the light flickered like crazy when turned on, also made a annoying high pitch noise and the small shower head didn't have much pressure. I'd most likely visit again for the views/location.
Let me start off by saying both myself and my fiance worked in management in the hospitality for quite a few years before we chose to switch careers in 2016. Due to our backgrounds we understand the ins and outs of the industry very well and also understand that things happen. However for the money we spent this was by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. $700+ later for a weekend stay and we were extremely unsatisfied and shocked at the physical state of this location. Friends of ours stayed at a different hotel during this time which had lower ratings online, spent less money and it was far nicer and cleaner than our place. The photos online are extremely deceiving. The lobby of Newport is very welcoming and visually appealing however checking in was extremely unfriendly. The receptionist stuck her hand out for our paperwork, never greeted us, barely spoke to us, and handed our cards back then moved on to the next person. My fiance even tried asking a question he had about the resort and both of the women at the desk completely ignored him. First ride on the elevators was a nervous one. I cannot speak for the third elevator but the two we rode on while staying there squeaked, shook and were bumpy the whole way up and down. Even my fiance who is 6 foot 2 and doesn't get nervous easily told me he was a little uneasy about riding their elevators all weekend.
Somewhat outdated facilities.
It is a busy hotel the rooms in suite are spacious ediliciamente this well maintained and warm attention.
My family enjoyed our stay here. We were able to get a early check in and a late check out which made it very convenient. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms were nice. The outside of the hotel could use some major renovations. I was a little disappointed in our room. We had 4 guest in 1 rooms which was suppose to sleep 4 people. We had a king bed and a pull out hide away bed. The king bed was nice but my back is still hurting from sleeping on that small hide away bed for three nights. The access to the beach and boardwalk is very nice. Overall I would probably stay here again.
It has a nice beach in front of the hotel. The staff is friendly. The hotel is a little old, the same is very clean and organized. I would put 5 stars if I had been given a room with 2 beds. We were 3 staff and one had Q sleep on a sofa bed.
Good hotel, sea view room, a bit dated but it's fine. Nickel beach with deckchair and cocktail service. Good restoration, there is choice at any time, good after it is pretty greasy. Nice staff, many activities offered this is a good value for money.
Not the fanciest of rooms; a little run down. View from the room was not direct to the ocean, but was acceptable. The bathroom had caulk falling off, and the shower would spray under the shower door and get the floor soaking wet. For parking, you have two choices: self park across the street for $20 per day, or use the valet parking for $25 per day. This was a surprise to us, since hotels usually have some free parking for patrons. The hotel is a very short drive to Haulover's naturist/nude beach. It's even close enough to walk (about 20 minutes) if you want the extra exercise.
It’s a reason why the service have a rating of 2.5 The representative at this hotel definitely not helpful at all. If you try to get somebody on the phone you never do, when you do get somebody on the phone they either put you on hole or to transfer to somebody else yours hang the phone up. I stayed at this hotel October 5 To 9th 2017. They took the deposit of $300 and all now I have a receive money back deposit yet. I have so much to say about this hotel I will have to write a book about the service I receive. From no communication about the fire alarm going off … not telling everybody nothing have everybody running around the hotel. Just can’t express how bad customer service and the representative was there.

Great location, but rooms are lower end — thin walls, and elevators are super slow especially during checkout time on a weekend. Expensive to park there — they don't offer free parking — $25 valet, or $20 self park per day! Meal options pricey for the options.
Very good location to get to from Miami Airport.
Stayed here with my family in July and had a wonderful time. However, the resort does have it's misgivings. Firstly, it is way to expensive for such a dated property. When you first enter the property everything looks fabulous from the valet taking keys and helping with bags right away to the lobby and bar area. However as soon as you get on the elevator you can see how dated everything is. The carpet was old and filthy in the hallways. The room wasn't too bad but definitely dated. It helped that we had a small balcony with a view of the ocean. The room description says there's a kitchenette but it is actually just a sink, a refrigerator and a microwave. Everything in the hotel from drinks to food is extremely over priced and happy hour just brings the drinks down to regular price. The best part of the hotel is pool and the fact that it is directly on the beach. The pool is great for kids and adults alike. And the beach is amazing after you shell out cash for the over priced cabana.
Ocean front view from the 11th floor for a great off season rate, I hav no complaints. Great location. Nice beach. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back once the price is right tho.
The lobby, pool, and beach access is the only part of the resort that could possibly be given one star. The rooms r run down, very outdated, dirty, equipment doesn't work. There is a resort fee but the is not one activity to participate in. Who doesn't have a coffee pot in the room? Don't waste your time. I'm sure you can find anything better.
Met with friends for drinks and dinner at lobby restaurant (Kitchen 305). Great service and prices on a Wednesday with all you can eat Lobster. Will definitely come again.
I love the valet parking with reasonable rate. I wish the bar and pool stays open beyond 10pm. They can use the venue for an exciting live music, bonfire, or dance night by the shore!
Really bad:
— rooms made when housekeepers have time
— The vacuum cleaner is only passed on request!
— Air conditioning leaks and flows into the bed and into the beds
— The pool is overcrowded
— you have to put the Transat on the beach on the other hand, you are removed without pity at 5:00!
-The excursions offered are priceless and very poor quality. Don't spend most of the hotel
— I always wait for the manager to contact me to explain my worries but he is never there.
In conclusion, avoid this hotel.
Understaffed Understaffed Understaffed. Long waiting lines for everything including the elevators. No fans in the bathrooms, it gets foggy like crazy. Housekeeping took forever to come around, sofa beds are terrible, terrible to sleep on. AC very loud, like a train and drips water on the carpet non stop day and night. The hotel is old and in desperate need of renovation. The room smells musty. No free parking on site, but you can park across the street for an extra $20 per day. The beach staff member was on his cellphone while we were waiting for ever for him to bring and set up our umbrellas. To be fair I did like the ocean itself and the view, but the pool was cloudy and unsanitized during our 4 day stay. I do not recommend this hotel.
The location was excellent. The beach was awesome and a very short walk away, the pools were very nice and even closer, and there is a bar near the pool. The lobby and the restaurant within (forget the name… kitchen 360 or something) were in excellent conditions. The restaurant was super nice albeit expensive. However, most of their attention clearly goes to the lobby area and the pool/Beach area (for good reason), as the elevators were wildly inefficient and interior of the upper floors was a little run down. However, we were upgraded to a balcony room for free and for no other reason than kindness on their part. Overall, the room is just a vessel to the beach, so it was great. For the price we paid and the location/accessories, it was well worth it, and we'd go again.
Amazing how beautiful the photos look because this hotel definitely needs some updates! The location is great, walking distance of several good restaurants and beachfront. The beach, unfortunately, needs some serious cleaning and they don't have the staff to do it. The pool us nice and we enjoyed it, but there are large surface that need to be re-plastered and the outdoor bathroom area is disgusting! It's an affordable place to stay in the area, and you'll probably enjoy keeping that in mind, but don't buy any food in the hotel!
Very clean, big and organized. With gym, swimming pool and directly on the sea!
For the renovated rooms, very clean hotel, pay attention to the services offered much more expensive.
First of all drinks at the bar over priced very ghetto people have they badass ghetto kids running all over the place like a bunch of pigs. Had reservations and been waiting for a room for over 4hrs wtf dealt with christian at 11:57am said the room be ready in a few mins which turned in to hours last spoke to Emma at 3:30 all u get is your room isn't ready yet wtf monkey business we r a group of 30 and still we look like a bunch ass holes never again.
My wife and I wanted to get away for a long weekend with our. 3 kids, so we booked a few days at this hotel, I saw that it had some bad reviews but it was cost effective so we decided to take a chance. I am sorry to say that the reviews may understate the experience at this hotel. Our "Newly Remodeled" room was simply disgusting, with stains on the floor, furniture and draperies. In my opinion, the hotel staff was being blatantly dishonest in there assessment of the situation, and in spite of the fact that we saw guest after guest complaining to the front desk, they assured us that our complaints were unique and something they had never heard before, They are simply numb to their surroundings. This is an outdated property that in in very poor repair.
Great location but the people staying there are ghetto. Parties until 3am, kids allowed to run around screaming their heads off. Their voices echo into your room if you have a room facing the pool. The rooms are dated but spacious and the beds are comfy. The staff is friendly and helpful. I know the price is great but personally it is not worth to stay during the busy summer months.
We absolutely loved it! Just came back from a relaxing beautiful weekend. Our family had adjoining suites, and the experience was heavenly. We spent hours at the beach, on the pier, or at the pool. When we weren't on the shore, we loved the spectacular view and the sound of the ocean, a fantastic backdrop to our weekend. Rooms were beautiful and high end and clean. Staff is meticulous and amazingly attentive. On my last morning I took a piece of coral from the shore to keep as a memory of our last great weekend in Miami…
Hubby and I love it here! Spent honeymoon here and our1 yr anniversary. Everything u need in one place. Bar, restaurant tiki bar and shops and stores all across the street. Best part is the view of the ocean outside your window. Huge rooms. Friendly staff. We will be back soon!
The hotel is very good to excellent. Place extremely pleasant. Something cold the staff of the hotel. The service and the cleanliness are good.
Hotel needs remofelacion. The staff is rude. Good beach. Good location.
It was my first time in Miami. I had a blast with my sisters. To wake up and see the beach view for 7 days was amazing. Front desk were friendly and polite. The concierge was helpful. Our room was cozy very comfortable beds. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. We shopped in the hotel boutique, Great food at the hotel restaurant nice classy place reasonably prices to bad I don't like lobster my sisters loved it. Hope to come back for the summer and check out their new updated rooms.
This is one of the worst hotels we've visited. There's so much to dislike, but let's start with the most common issue we saw: people unable to get into their rooms. Newport uses magnetic swipe cards for room keys. Ours failed constantly starting with our first night. We put in five maintenance requests over four days. We had numerous hotel engineers and the manager, they all knew about the issue. We saw other guests complaining. They didn't fix it and it was a struggle every time. Upon arrival we were "upgraded" to a "renovated" room. Yet the room was in total disrepair. I told the front desk clerk they should be ashamed to call this renovated as it was filthy and archaic. The windows were grimy, metal was rusted, bathroom tiles were chipped, shower heads had build up and hadn't been cleaned. It was gross. Around the hotel was the same: dirty carpets and chipped wood galore. Walls are paper thin. The pocket doors in our suite did nothing to separate the space acoustically, but more importantly you could hear other guests speaking (they weren't yelling). We heard every noise in the hallway and upstairs. Lobby operations are laughable. Upon arrival we had to find someone to help with our luggage. Normally we wouldn't care, but we had two sleepy kids in tow. After waiting almost an hour and our kids missing their PJs at bedtime, I went in search of our luggage. The bellhop slapped his forehead and told me he forgot, even though the overflowing cart was next to him.
When you buy the pack for ORLANDO AND MIAMI with parks, rent a car, and the Bahamas on the ferry, did not meet the agreed upon and paid. The ferry is broke and I changed it to see the islands of Bimini, which does not accept, and the rent a car instead of the agency Dollars, I changed it at the last minute by another one out of the airport and with cars of low quality. Time after they call me and offer me a package to RIVIERA MAYA very tentative and for the second time I gave them a chance, but with same result. When you call to inform them that I was going in may, I was told that they didn't offer more that pack and therefore they could not be enforced, then exigi the money back that you pay on last April. We're in February and still not get me to return. If someone reads this and knows how you can act with this people, I accept suggestions. Thank you.
Hotel and cheap rates are lures to get you in for sales presentation. Rooms definitely not as pictured. Location good, beach and pool outstanding. The only redeeming qualities. Accommodations desperately need updating. I thought I time-travelled back to 1989. Hotel staff on checkout were exceedingly rude and unbelievably slow on check-in and checkout. Update your systems along with the rooms and customer service training and I would come back.
I got married on this hotel 4 years ago and it was incredible. The service and food were great.
Purchased this stay from Groupon, price was amazing. Took the bus from airport which was very easy. Check in was at 4pm but we arrived at 12 and immediately got a room. Lobby is beautiful, award winning restaurant and spa at your finger tips. Free breakfast and a choice of a gift if you choose to attend a once in a life time seminar, which will change the rest of your life vacation ask for Will. Pool & Beach in your back yard weather didnt permit bathing but the view the experience was still great. I will definitely return when weather is better. Staff are great, friendly and professional. This was a vacation gift with my Mom and it was worth every penny! Will definitely tell all my airport coworkers.
I had an overall great experience. The only things I could have done without is the parking fee of $25 and some extra fee that bumped the room price from $129 to 175. The environment is great you have a lot tourist, a nice restaurant and a tiki bar. My favorite part is a beautiful stretch if beach in your backyard with little huts with beds. The pool is also open 24 hours unlike other hotels which is a big plus if you want to have fun. The rooms are super clean, modern, smell great and make you feel really comfortable. Nice spacious fridge and big bathroom. I would definitely recommend the Newport Hotel as you have a great vibe, nearby restaurants and friendly staff and did I mention the pier and beach.
We love the place! Very well located!
They are so unorganized, they lie straight to your face if you have concerns about the finances of the room. They made a mistake with our reservations and we were fine it just hurted that they have to lie to you while they try to fix it, I whether you not treat people like they dont have a clue. Its not fair nor do I appreciate it. Besides the nasty ass room service picking their noses before they swap out your towels (have pictures of the women picking her nose as she grabbing towels) the view, the beach and pool were awesome, loved the experience, not the hotel at all…
Like others have said, you get what you pay for: a cheap place near the beach. Don't be fooled by any claims on the website, this place is nothing more than a bed to sleep in. We stayed here while were in town for a wedding, and had a number of problems. We booked Thursday 11/5 through Sunday 11/8, and were told the room we booked Thursday would be different from Friday through Sunday. When we checked in, we asked if anything had changed, and the front desk said we still had to check out Friday morning to check back into a different room. When we woke up Friday morning, I called down to the front desk twice to see if this was still the case. The first person hung up on me so I called back. The second person I spoke to said we still had to check out that morning. So we got dressed, packed up, and went downstairs to wait in line for 45 minutes to do this. When we checked out and then checked back in, we were put back in the exact same room we left and had to pay some resort fee. This was absolutely ridiculous. When we spoke to a supervisor later in the day, we found out the room we were in for the rest of our stay was the wrong room, and we were actually supposed to be in a more expensive room (a higher rate we had already paid). Because of the confusion, the supervisor told me they would WAVE ALL RESORT FEES for the weekend. Frustrated, we said fine and we moved our stuff to the new room.
I went from the 4 to the 8 of November of 2015 with my family. When we arrived around 10 PM. The atmosphere was pretty bad. Many women of the night prepared to go and a lot of noise. During the check-in we took enough to find the room despite having booked and paid several months in advance. Finally, when the asignarón on the sixth floor, the same was BUSY. We went down to complain and they gave us another on the tenth floor that does not encendia the light of the main bedroom and was dirty. We claim again, with the bags, my two small children and the shopping mall above, and we were attended by another receptionist who finally, and after more than half an hour at the hotel, we stood in a hhabitación with view of the pool and the beach by the same price as the standard, weight this failed to take away the bad experience from our arrival. In addition to that do not have a place to unload luggage at the entrance. You harass the valet parking saying that you can't leave the car there and for $ 5 you park them in front?. Do not understand that to be a rented car the only one that I can handle is the authorized. The good : the pool and the location as it is on the beach. In the buffet where breakfast also looked after us very well.
Good hotel for the money, but about vayfay can forget! It is very slow!
“Worst Hotel experience of my life” I booked a 4-night stay in a 2-bedroom Suite at this supposed resort for my wife and I (still here as I'm writing this) and it has been awful. First of all, the amenities list on the website should be updated. (from website) "Whichever room type you choose, your accommodations will include the following luxury amenities: Microwave Mini refrigerator Digital Safe Cable and satellite television with pay-per-view movies, games, and music Individual climate control Ironing equipment Hair Dryer Complimentary local and 800 phone calls Complimentary in-room Wi-Fi access AM/FM clock radio Jetted Tub, except in Executive Suites" My suite has 3 televisions of which non have cable or satellite and only one has pay per view but the volume on that TV is broken so you can’t hear it anyway. Went to the front desk twice, no resolution. No comparable rooms to move too and no replacement TV's available. Internet is Non Existent in this hotel. Desk manager told me that there are too many people using the WI-Fi and there is really nothing they can do. In room safe does not work Ironing board is broken. No One mentioned to us that the hotel was under renovation when I made my reservation so we have construction noise coming from the room above and below us until 7-8pm every day. Front desk told me yesterday that they would stop work at 5pm and that no additional work was scheduled in any adjoining rooms that was obviously untrue.
You get what you pay for! Cheap but next to the beach. The parking fee is ridiculous so we just parked at the marshalls across the street each evening as that's what tons of others were doing and walked to the hotel. Not bad — I'd rather do that then lose out on more money just to have my car parked then wait an eternity to have it brought back — hell no. So free parking it was! Only had to cross one street and was well worth it! Don't pay for parking there! Oh! — and my phone stayed behind in the room — I called and called and called spoke with 3 different people all which promised they'd call back once they had someone check if it was there — never got the call back. I would have been late to my flight or I would have turned back. Sadly I lost all my delivery videos of when I had my daughter along with All her newborn photos :. (something that money can't replace.! So no do not stay here — fork out that extra 100$ and stay somewhere other than here.
I mean, you basically get what you pay for. Pricing is obviously very comfortable, food is decent, but I did have a bad experience with a few other people staying there, and the staff not doing anything about it. They normally mind their own business and are a bit rude to everyone. Overall, I will just say that, while cheap, it's not very worth it. You're better off just staying here just as a place to sleep instead of chilling out.
From the moment we booked we were lied to. We were told that there was a kitchen along w 2 seperate rooms (3 people traveling, 1 being a man so we needed 2 seperate rooms like promised) and a balcony. There was a microwave and a fridge and the room had a 4 foot ledge that did not seperate into 2 seperate rooms as told. There were also huge spots on the walls and the couch looked 20 years old not to mention the windows wouldn't open. When going down to the front desk to complain the girl at the front desk was very nice and tried to be helpful by showing us 3 more units before we were finally somewhat satisfied. The next rooms had cracks in the windows, stains on the couch… not up to par at all. When booking we were told it was a 4 star. When looking it up after on the Internet it was a 3 star but in all honesty the accommodations were more like a 2star. The pool had big black spots on the bottom. The beach was beautiful along w the beach access. There was no morning coffee for guests and I have never seen that anywhere. On Sunday there were also signs about food and drink specials in kitchen 305 and coconuts where the game would be shown. Coconuts had none and 305 had 1 drink special and changed the tvs before 8 for an event. This was false advertising and the restaurant manager acted as if he had no clue there were suppose to be specials yet there was a big sign while walking in. I will never recommend this location to anyone nor will I return.
I'm from Argentina and when we were going to travel (15 years of my daughter), they discovered a Cancer of the Liver to my husband, which is why we had to cancel the trip. When we were close to the expiration of the promotional package, talk by phone with Mrs Judith Fusaro who very kindly I attended, I speak very well and we GIVE AN EXTENSION OF 6 MORE MONTHS FOR FREE (since it was a very serious disease). When you turned 6 months and we are not permitted to travel (for the disease) call by phone THE day 18/08/2014 to PAY$299 FOR the EXTENSION OF the PACKAGE FOR 1 YEAR AND a HALF — do with Mr. Louis Stern, who told me the following (and what I have written) only by exception because your husband is sick, they will extend the package UNTIL THE DAY 18/02/2016. Very well, basandome in this communication (which should be recorded! ) and TRUSTING ABOVE ALL IN THAT PERSON was that you talk to the Dres of my husband and have allowed him to make the trip SO DREAMED FOR ALL MY FAMILY FOR the SECOND HALF OF JANUARY 2016. Just call by phone to Reserve, I attended Carolina and told me THAT MY PACKAGE is EXPIRED!? IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO THIS! I TRICKED? BECAUSE I MAKE THIS? We are talking about a very particular case, a sick person who Dres we are giving a "recess" for my husband to be able to vacation to be distracted and to gather forces, because it is likely that you have to go to a liver transplant total (for there is no other solution) and now I find THAT I can NOT GO?
I really enjoyed my experience at Newport! Loved the beach experience and customer service. My room was clean and decent for Standard Room. Hotel Staff were helpful when you needed them. Loved the free shuttle to Aventura Mall only 10 min away. Environment was family friendly as well. Only thing the Wifi is slow and unreliable at times. Love the area plenty of stores to shop! Not to mention a CVS down the block for your needs! Would love coming back here!
We (me and my wife) have just come home from our holiday in Miami beach having stayed in The Newport and I have to say after reading some bad reports before we went we had the time of our lives, everyone of the staff was fantastic. The room was huge and very clean. The reception couldn't help us any more than they did and it was a thoroughly magnificent holiday. I can not wait to return to this hotel. They gave us towels for beach use. The beach was so clean as was the pool, and the position of the hotel is perfect. The bar on the pier was so nice we could have spent all our time in it. Thank you so much for the best ever experience of Miami beach…
Me, my wife and 2 friends stayed there last weekend, and we had a great time. It all started with Sai and Yosel, the front desk staff. There were personable, courtesy and very professional. They both had such warm welcoming smiles. We arrived early and was told one of our rooms was not ready. Sai secured our luggage and directed us on how we could enjoy the property until our room became available. It is always refreshing to receive Good Customer Service! When we were departing, we met Ms. Michelle Theodule, your Front Desk Director. She too was personable and we shared our great experience with her regarding the above staff. She thanked us and wished us a safe trip back home. We will certainly visit your property again real soon! Oh, I forgot to mention, our friends, Mr. & Mrs. Jeremy Hinds also became new owners. We stayed in rooms & 1106. Please convey our sincere gratitude to all the staff noted above… for a job well done! Best regards, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Hinson p. S. A small fix… the toilet handle in room needs repair :)
So far so good. 2nd day, I read all the mixed reviews and I have to say for $100 a night, what more can u ask for? If a paid upwards of $300 then I might have a diff opinion. Nice big lobby with plenty of sitting space. Starbucks coffee with pastries and other breakfeast, small convenience store, 305 restaurant is nice, food is good. Had the pizza, filet mignon, mussels, french onion soup, chick fingers and fries. All pretty good. Only thing that was ehhhh… was the penne vodka with shrimp, kinda pricy overall, service was good, tip included in bill. Hotel customer service has been good so far. The room is a 1 bedrm suite, jus like the one pictured on the website. Clean and comfortable beds. Just make sure u get a standard room opposed to a traditional room bucuz the trad rooms have not been remodeled. I think that is where alot of the bad reviews come from. 2 coronas are almost 16$ from the bar with tip included. Beach clean, Free beach chairs, small cabana, umbrella extra. Pool big and clean, nice size kiddy pool. Jacuzzi extremely small. Plenty of sitting space with lounge chairs, tables, and couches. I had the chicken cheese steak and chick fingers from the tiki bar, pretty good. There is food and drink service while on the beach. Apart from the hotel there is a long pier for fishing along with a restaurant we didnt try yet. The do not provide poles for fishing though which does not make sense.
I can not begin to explain to say how happy I am with my experience at Newport. My wedding was held there and the results were outstanding. We coordinated to host our dinner at Kitchen 305, the food was cooked to perfection. All the assistance to even decorate was so nice. We rented for the entire weekend with some of our family and friends. I felt truly taken care of. Our event coordinator (Nataly Jimenez & team) was amazing. Everything we needed, wanted and more was taken care of. Of course there was a few slow moments thanks to us but overall we couldn't have been happier. If we have a large occasion or event we know exactly where to host it.
We absolutely love this hotel and will be vacationing here again Aug 12th ~16th. The staff is very helpful starting with valet, check in to checking out. And I'm a very picky individual when it comes to booking hotels for me and my family! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Worst experience ever! Stay away! When arrived after 3 PM that supposed to be check in time I was told that the room is not ready yet, spoke with manager Mihaela who doesn't have the best customer service, the staff at front desk doesn't even look at you. Being a business owner I know if I would treat my customers this way I would go out of business. For sure the people that come here come once and never come back again after their experience. Been here for few hours and heard lots of complains from other guests. For example they ran out of beach towels and had to wait for an hour to get some towels for kids to go swim. The air conditioner not working in the room, the room itself from 1980 including TVs, do not expect to have a flat screen TV. It's worst than a motel! Do not believe the pictures, it's nothing like this!
Great hotel. Rooms were modern and clean. Comfy beds. Choice of free movies. However the customer service let it down. Let me start saying I rent this hotel and I paid in full almost $600.00 for the weekend. The African American guy on the front desk rolled his eyes when we asked him how something worked. I told him I had my confirmation number and he told me he need to hold $300.00 in my card cuz my room was not pay in full, He didn't make us feel welcome at all it looks like he was mad cuz we were checking in around 11:00 PM. I demanded to speak to the manager which was the bigger mistake ever his name is Giovanni if you ever see someone on the front desk with a name tag Giovanni please wait for someone else to assist you, After a long chat back and forward finally I got my room. My first day of my b-day weekend was not as great as I planted. Second day at the hotel we asked for breakfast in bed and after that we when to the pool and we ordered drinks and food, I asked the pool attendant to added the tap to our my room, The manager had called the room 5 times, send the security and cancel my hotel keys cuz he need to speak with me regarding to a $140.00 tap that I added to my room on my second day at the hotel. Giovanni make me felt harass, we got into a huge argued on the front desk everybody else was looking he never apologized for nothing at all. It's the worst service I've ever had. Never will be back.
My wife and I "won" a free two night stay at this hotel and all we had to do was go to a "resort tour" during our stay. Obviously it was a sales pitch for a time-share (or in this case some kind of vacation package). Everyone else at this hotel seemed to be there for the same reason. It was very crowded. This wouldn't be such a big deal if this place had nicer accommodations. Here's a list of things I disliked: The elevators are nearly dead. Our room was old and horribly out-dated. I could hear the neighbors through the adjoining door. I could hear everyone outside in the hallway. Every time someone down the hall closed their door, my door was shutter slightly due to the pressure changing. There was no microwave or mini-fridge in the room. The beach was full of garbage and seaweed. Every morning they took some kind of bulldozer and shoved everything out into the ocean only for it to wash back up throughout the day. My credit card was pre-authorized 3 times by the time-share people and the hotel. Got all that back not having $500 available in the middle of a vacation sucks. The staff at the front desk was a little rude and didn't treat the free guests the same as the paying guests. The restaurant and min-mart was very expensive. $4 for a bottle of water! $17 for a cheeseburger! Just go down the road to the CVS and the handful of restaurants and save some money.
Don't GO TO THE RESORT PRESENTATION! They are scammers! We went because we were promised that if you go to hear about their resort. You are under no obligation to purchase anything. You will get a voucher for a cruise just for going and listening. The sales man Robert was soo pushy aggressive I literally felt captive after a 2 1/2 hr. Presentation of this BOGUS RESORT. I never got the Voucher and a total waste of time. Horrible experience.
Would like to start this review by explaining, how I wasted my vacation time off of work and my 8 year anniversary at this horrible hotel — damaged room nasty refrigerator, keep this in mind this is after I complain right after checking in no one even came up to address the issue SMH! Let me be clear it's not so much the room and the amenities the view it's absolutely beautiful, but as a result of the customer service and management (Jameson) has cause my stay to be extremely unpleasant. All this happened within the first 8 hours of being at the resort. I'm here to tell you service is like a motel 6 your money is better spent somewere else (Absolutely! ) Need to be some training done with management on how to provide customer service. Miami is such a beautiful place don't allow the ugly service at Newport Beachside Resort to steal your joy, vacation time, and most importantly your money it's not worth it please stay elsewhere. Because the way they treat you I guess they have plenty of customers losing one won't matter! Don't stay here! However I will like to give a thank you to Dana for being professional. The management team needs to take notes from Dana how to provide customer service. Last but not least how do you expect to send an unhappy customer down to a sales presentation and expect them to buy something. Marinate on that for a second. Sorry sales team but they have set you up for failure am not buying anything.
It Was Right On The Beach With Laying Chairs For Guest Of Hotel At Free Of charge, If You Want A Tiki hut YOU Can Pay Extra, Pool And Pool Side Bar Was nice, Hot Tub Is There But Only 4 People Can fit. There is tons of kids at the pool running around. Went to eat at breakfast buffet which was kind of pricey with tip included and It was terrible. Hotel room was all right, I did have the ac at 60 and it felt like 78. I complained they said they would fix never did. But did offer to switch rooms if needed, did not feel like it but it wasn't too hot. They charge you a resort fee of 20$ day I don't know why they just don't include it in the room price seems stupid. They also charge 20$ for parking daily, and it is a pretty packed lot that can fill up fast. You can do 25$ for valet. Most of the workers are nice but I did run into a very rude one. They also try to get you to go to a sales presentation that is a hour and half in return for a gift of things to choose from. We didn't go didn't want to waste my time our on that. I hate pushy sales people. But I would stay here again.
Horrible don't come here. The customer service here is amazingly horrible! The staff is judgmental and rude! Especially the blonde bartender at the bar! The cleaning lady kept coming in the mens locker room without knocking and saw my husband naked twice! Then they messed up my spa appointment. It was just a mess.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful with a lot of great amenities. We opted for the free breakfast option which was totally worth it if you are a breakfast person. Great hot buffet breakfast. The outdoor pool was warm and pleasant. The hotel is right on the beach. The pier has a restaurant.
We picked this place by random and the pictures do this place no justice. The beach was absolutely beautiful! We had no problem ever finding chairs to lay out on. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The pool area is just as great! Friday we had the all you can eat king crab legs and it was well worth the price. I will definetly be coming back here for vacation.
If I could give Newport Beachside zero stars, I would. I highly doubt they even look at, or care about, their reviews anyway. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon for 5 days. The room was clean, and we had access to the beach, but that is where anything remotely nice about this hotel stopped. I emailed this hotel a couple of months before leaving for our honeymoon to ask about early check in and late checkout, but never heard anything back from them. This should have been my first clue as to the lack of customer service to expect on our honeymoon. We were checking in on a Monday, so we did not think checking in early would be much of a problem, since most vacationers probably left for home on Sunday. Yes, we should have known better than to just assume this, but we seriously did not expect to not be able to get into a room when we arrived at the hotel at 11am on a Monday. We were told that NO rooms were available, which seemed a bit odd to us for it being a Monday afternoon, but ok, fine. We were told to check back with the desk around 2, and that a room should be available for us. So we grabbed our swimsuits from our suitcases, changed in the hotel lobby bathroom, checked our luggage with the front desk, and headed to the beach for a few hours. We came back to the front desk at 2:15, and were told we still did not have a room. Normal check in is at 3PM, and by 3:15 we finally had a room.
Dont ever rent here even though it is cheap it is not worth it! horrible experience! maggots all over this place! the rudest employees in the world! the cleaning service even stole my video camera! I left this place running! also, their time shares are a scam! even their time share presentations promise gifts that you never receive! even when you get an orlando room for "free" there are still taxes and hidden fees to pay once you are in orlando, and they also force you to listen to another 150 minute time share presentation while you are in orlando in the middle of the day or else they will charge you for the room! crooks! ialso had the misfortune to deal with some lady nancy lopez and this evil lady told me nothing but lies! she needs to be fired immediately.
I went for a visit to miami to listen to the talk conscistia kerian sell a menbrecia vacation no ki is to buy the seller nagged until I offered 4dias 3 nights the buy try to use it for me custumer service told me comunikese via email use the never resolved your go ke go to the resor I claim I was treated well I have solved I wore it to June, I said well the second day they called siad in may just I in order to extend are 99 dollars I told him no kiero nothing receive your money and do crazy.
My family and I thought it was great! Location was awesome. Room and staff were great. We understood the parking fees ahead of time and the lot was very handy to the hotel. The Wi-Fi and elevators were lacking but we were not there to be in a rush or for the internet, so overall we had a wonderful vacation.
8This resort is ok. Not top of the line for the price. My room was ok. Carpet in hallway was "clean" no smells. Didn't eat at 305, very pricey and not a good variety of food for me. Lots of kids so very family friendly. Lobby furniture was very nasty. Staff was nice I didn't have any problems. Loved the music by the pool. Parking was 25.00 a day. That sucked. Location was nice. Nice places to eat and shop in walking distance. However I will never stay there again.
Run! stay away from this hotel! they have the worst staff on earth! nancy lopez is a lying, theiving employee and should be removed from this place! she is giving them a bad name! they also have a juliana in the reservations dept. And that rude lady hangs up on people when issues get a little complicated! she just doesnt want to deal with it! these including (nancy lopez) people also give fake gifts! the gifts which are post cards that you have to fill out and send out with an activation fee payment — never return! you receive nothing for sending these out! it's a hotel full of scams and theiving policies! for example, I purchased a package for the spa but half of the package was "unavailable" at the time! then why make people pay for it and offer it in the package!?!? ridiculoous! dont go to this hotel no matter how cheap it is! you will hate it! stay away! mainly stay away from the time-shares, they are a complete scam.
Poor service. Could not get get a hold of anybody for extra towels. Had to go down to lobby and wait in line for 20 minutes just to ask for an extra towel. Only one person working front counter with busy check ins. No free coffee. Walked across the street to the gas station to not get gouged on a cup of coffee. Only give 2 stars because it's on the beach, and very clean.
Good Hotel
Very large room with ocean view
Too cool the heated pool
And also very good restaurant.
This hotel looks great, but I'd suggest you look elsewhere if you are concerned about service. We checked in. The bathroom sink did not have hot water. In fact, no water at all came out of the tap. No valves were accessible under the sink, so we called the desk and were told someone "would be right up. " Half an hour later, we called again with the same response. Three hours later I told the desk we wanted a different room, and they graciously accommodated us. We moved ourselves and checked the water, which worked! Unfortunately, when this room had been made up, the toilet had been been used and no one flushed it. Nice greeting for our second room, don't you think? The next day, after being gone all day, we returned at 4:30 PM to find that our room had not been cleaned yet and we had to call housekeeping to get it done. With parking and taxes, this hotel cost us over $250 per night. Dollar for dollar, this was the worst hotel "bargain" I've ever had.
This hotel clearly lacks managerial oversight of its staff. When I complained at the front desk that workmen were running power tools right above my room at 10.30 at night, I was told that they had a business to run! The carpets in this hotel are disgusting. Dirty, stained. And this all over the hotel including the lobby which has furniture which looks like homeless people have slept over. The breakfast room looks like it has been furnished in early Salvation Army. And the meal itself was dull, boring. Fresh orange juice was extra! In Florida? We planned a day trip to Key West. The concierge told us it would be 79 dollars per person. My daughter found the same trip on line for 39. I know a hotel has a right to charge a fee for making arrangements, but 100 percent seems a bit stiff. I spoke to many guests who had similar experiences and vowed never to go back. And some stories were downright horrible. Such as clerks at the front desk arguing with guests over complaints that their billing was not correct. That seems to be the attitude of this hotel. The guest is always wrong. Oh yes, one more thing. There is a 20 dollar per night resort fee on top.
Worse experience ever. The staff has no sense of what customer service is. They were rude and when asking to use something as small as the phone we were treated as if we were homeless and had not just paid for our room and the services. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! When I tried to call to get connected to a customer service line, I was transferred 3 times and ended up leaving a voice mail. I can not begin to explain how horrible the staff is or their services. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, your money is better spent at a Best Western, which is where I ended up staying after they f***** up my reservation and took my money and kicked me out due to their lack of diligence in holding a room for me.
I Stayed here for 7 days, outside is amazing, interior loby is awesome, I got suite with ocean view, $257/night, id expect alot more, rooms are ok, hall way carpet is NASTY to say the least, smlled like mold on the 7th floor, they were washing it everyday instead of changing it! Its VERY OLD AND NASTY DIRTY! I wont stay here again! Staff was friendly, valey parking and front desk were helpfull and very nice and fast! Doesnt change the fact that rest of hotel is nasty dirty! I had an updated suite with jacuzzi, NOT MUCH REMODEL IN MY OPINION.
Groupon customer gets bad rooms. Bad enclosed rooms. Their front desk people are always away from the desk, if you are checking in midnight. Staff is not good. Their drinks from the tiki bar are ridiculously expensive. No professionalism. Lovely spot to board walk.
Where to begin! This hotel and its partner Newport Promotions are a sham and a scam. We obtained a package for two years and where promised in writing that we could extend it for a couple more years. One year passed and we called back. And back. And back but we were actually being hung up upon. After several failed attempts of trying to talk to someone for weeks. We finally got to someone and this someone, called himself the manager of Newport Promotions; Mr. Luis F Calvo. The guy told us we could not have the package because it expired, and the extension that they gave us a mistake. So, their oopsie would cost 700 dollars and they would take no responsibility. To put icing on the cake, this guy placed a counter-offer which would allow us to take less than half of the original package if we agreed to pay up 1050 dollars more. La concha!, the gull of this man. Offered less for 150% higher price and even gave us less than 3 hours to make a decision. This was an extortion. I cannot warn enough about not getting close to this people, much less to their hotel. If they are so daring to extort, lie and fold back on their words. Can you imagine what they will do when you are there, with your loved ones, your belongings, your precious vacation time. Traveler beware, Newport will get you mugged.
Food regular and expensive, the. Talk. Of. Vacation package a tangle say. No! Service. Of. Cleaning very late but the. Location is beautiful and the attention. General. It was good.
The worst service I had in my life. Stole me my room photography professional camera and I did not recognize nor returned me a weight. NEVER go to this hotel!. The worst of the worst.
Excellent for vacation. I love it.
Stayed here for the first time during the 4th of July weekend for a football game. I read the reviews about the resort on different travel websites and was hesitant about making the reservation. I have to say that although the rooms were a little outdated, the overall experience at the resort was great. Traveling from NC, when we arrived the credit cards were block due to suspicious activity. Michelle (Director of Front Office) allowed us to still check-in and after speaking with the cc company the block was lifted. That transaction alone eased the doubts I had about the place. The ocean-front room, the jet-skiing and the pier were all great! Jamie at the jewelry store inside the resort was fabulous! The ONLY issue we had there was dining at the restaurant inside the resort. The server sat us down but never returned to take the order and others just walked by including the manager. We were served eventually but even that didn't spoil the trip for us. Overall it was a great vacation.
I stayed at this "Resort " for a wedding and let me tell you when you get inside the location y sounds like a jungle so noisy. The staff so unprofessional and careless about customer service very rude people! No coffee maker, not iron. I mean Junior suite? this hotel do not deserve any star. We hated it and we will never go back to this hotel again. No vayan a este hotel es horrible la atencion gente que no es profesional y se siente como que tu le estas pidiendo regalado una noche alli cuando a la final pague por una noche y parking valet $202 to over price place, DO NOT WORTH IT.
The valet parking staff stolen to tourists happened to me and my brother, the put money in pocket so be very careful with the valet parking people, nobody does anything to improve assistance to tourism,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Para el Turismo de otro Pais cuidado con la gente del estacionamiento les roban el dinero y trabajan con mala actitud el servicio es malo malo …
Hotel Stary. Greased. Remember the song "Hotel California". In the lobby of the old furniture, torn upholstery. The State rooms, had a chance to look at. If you stand facing to the ocean, then on the right side of the room more lighter and better. Left elevators and noisy Street. Staff Inconsiderate and lazy.
Pure coolness to the rooms, bathroom in marble. The furniture is not new. Underwear is always clean. Do not forget to leave the maid $ 1 — 2 per day for tea and get a bunch of towels and shampoos) ) ) for breakfast. Around a lot of cafés to suit all tastes. If you walk there are decent restaurants. Across stores, Maršals products.
At stop big noisy delegation and family. Directly in the Hall watched the songs and dances of the peoples of the world) ) )
The hotel is located on the first line of 50 meters and the ocean. The beach of coarse sand bottoms smooth beautiful entry. Have your own pool.

RespondAnd I like it here! Although boring sometimes, just a hotel exclusively family, the noisy crowd count doesn't have to! The room is excellent! Breakfast, true diversity did not differ, but you can relive:) ) Free) Wi-Fi, but here at the beach doesn't have it, sorry! And so everything is good;) ) Home already) ) but it would be desirable, though here the ocean and stunned! The place is generally excellent.

They charge a $25 resort fee but the pool is under construction. $25 for parking but didn't mention it. AC & TVs and jacuzzi tub jets didn't work & several light bulbs out. Called for maintenance, no one ever showed up.
