I would suggest paying a few extra dollars and staying at a different hotel, first off you have no parking area. You just have to park on a sidewalk and pay the city parking meters. I had a balcony room which I had to share the balcony with another room. The room is super plain which is fine on that part. But the shades are horrible, if you like a dark room. Well then your going to be screwed. Only thing I can really say positive about this place is it was clean.

I give them one star because the staff was nice. Pictures are not accurate. Where was the food and lounge? We did not have a tub? We had a shower with a half wall instead of a shower door/curtain. Read all, do not assume the room comes with anything like a hair dryer, microwave, coffee pot or clothes rod in the closet, no need for hangers. We got back to the room @ 10pm no wash cloths, had to wait for housekeeping to come. Oh let me warn you there is an extra building next door that you might be staying in. They say they have black out drapes/curtains, not in my room just pull down blinds. The beach is in walking distance from the hotel. I thought it was on the beach. They have tile floors( which I did like) but did not provide a broom and dust pan to sweep up any sand that you might drag in. So their website and pictures are all very miss leading. I have stayed in many different places but none next to two condemned buildings. The ONLY good I saw was the Turkish restaurant a blook away( on the corner) fabulous food and feshf apple juice, so good. So I do not recommend this place.

the only good thing about this hotel is the location, the service is bad, starting at the desk, maids. The windows of my room had broken blinds that I had to put a towel to cover. The carpet of the hallway. Needs cleaning or change. I do not recommend it, neither price nor quality. There are better hotels in the area. I stayed here for being part of the package I bought, without knowing how bad it is.

Where do I begin? Hotel does not have hotel parking so we have to pay for parking on the street. Once we got to our room the door handle was broken and we have to slam it just to close. The bathroom was so outdated and there we no outlets to charge our phone not was there a phone in the room. I guess since there is no room service to call.. the TV was a 1992 Magnavox and fridge did not work. No ice or vending machine for snacks.. the ac was falling apart as it was small house unit. We paid 198 for 2 nights which is not worth it at all.

Simple but large and clean accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the beach. Very good Wifi. Very good shopping just behind the hotel for self-catering (warm food to take cubans in the supermarket at the crossroads). Great is the closet room with rod and enough space for the suitcases. One point deduction for the museum-ready TV without sufficient program selection. Air conditioning a bit noisy.

This place is terrible. Workers were mean anytime questions were asked. The rooms are filthy and there was no hot water for the shower. There was no microwave, and the fridge barely worked (wasn’t getting cold enough. ) Had to throw out some of our food. Bed was uncomfortable and squeaky and my pillow had blood on it. AND to top it off I left with BED BUG BITES. Do not come here.

This Hotel is a few steps away from the beach. You'll get free chairs, beach towels and sunscreen. I got the cheapest room and it included a fridge, clean bathrooms, powerful air conditioner and daily cleaned sheets for beds and bathroom towels. Staff is very friendly and they let you leave bags in if you come very early before check in. No carpets, makes sense since you are coming from the beach and who would want to vaccum so much sand? Tiles are always clean and security is great. Highly recommended. Everything else like shops, bars and restaurants are very close.

You get what you pay for. You can't see the beach, even tho it says beachfront. This is no cable, only 2 channels. You don't even get washcloths but they give u plenty towels, even give u towels for the beach. Crazy I know right. An the rooms doesn't have a microwave, no phones in the rooms either. The Wi-Fi barely works. There's no free parking for hotel guess. Only good thing staff are nice an the lobby smells good. Hotel can definitely use some updating

It is located in the area of Miami beach and is good because it is all very close! But the hotel is very old, its doors pink, the elevator is an antique, bathrooms, carpets from hallways, very old and worn, except beds, sheets, room floor, are relatively fine! It looks like it's all very dirty in the hallways, but what this is old. At the front desk, the Lord's attention was good, helpful and guiding, in terms of parking, payment, form and place to park! It's OK just to sleep and it's a shame for the area where it is located, very close to the beach, a Walgreens a block away, hamburgers and shakes for sale also a block away, but when you walk around the area, you see very strange people with strange skills, it's scary and doesn't feel safe at all!

Bathroom fan does not work. Had to use the lobby bathroom so I didn't stink up the room. This place is a joke. Pictures on website are from next door. If I could add pictures I would.

First of all, it's not a luxury hotel. However its beach front location is fantastic. While other hotels would charge you an eye of the face, this simple hotel gives you the same scenery for much less. It is old and has no luxury, but it is clean and quiet. Nearby restaurants are much cheaper than in other parts of the south or further north. They could offer breakfast or have a restaurant to improve the service.

Where should I start… positive = Internet… it was fast and stable. Thumbs up!
Negative: So the pictures from the website have to be old, since it doesn't look like this anymore. According to reception we had one of the good/renovated rooms. It worked for us very uncomfortable/cold… and the LCD TV could not change anything. Did not feel like on holiday special EHR in a youth hostel. Our room floor was glued, the mattress was already so located that you as a couple always rolled into the central center, there was no hair dryer (according to recipes. Only 10 available for the whole hotel) … these were still the things that you could see over with a lot of humor and holiday joy…
If you check in here you don't need to hope for cleanliness… We found new hair every day from the cleaning on the bed, bath and towels… After we complained, the bedding was changed the next day… however, we had new hair in and On the bed. We got new towels every day, but they always contained stains and hair! In spite of washing!
The cleaners were nice and greeted friendly, even if they were not powerful in the English/German language. We crept into the feeling that management wanted to save money at all corners and edges… We also noticed other guests who complained about the friendliness of the reception. We asked for a hair dryer on three consecutive days, which led to absolute antipathy.

Staff is really friendly, housekeeping keeps place pretty tidy & if you are in need of something they have to supply room they will get. Maintenance is pretty quick about getting issues resolved. They are in the middle of renovations here & when finished it will be really nice. They are also renovating the hotels on each side but it is not really a issue. Besides you are right here at beach witb amazing veiws so that is what you will focus on. Plus you can get a room with a veiw where you actually do not have to get out of bed to see the ocean & watch the sunrise. As far as places to eat just a short stroll around to Collins Avenue & you will find all kinds of different types of food.

I got to admit I was a little scared from some of the reviews but I can tell you it was a very nice stay. Older but nice, great rate, beds are comfy, and clean, walk right on to the beach. Plenty of places to eat in the area. We Stayed in room 318 we loved it! My 2 daughter and me and the hubby stayed here 2 nights plenty of hot water in the AM and PM. Lovely room, room service was on point, room was clean and smelled very nice. Fresh towels when we returned from the beach was able to watch Sunrise right from room. Balcony faces beach. I can't say enough we will surely be back to stay at this diamond in the rough. I will share pics of the room. We were given a great rate for an upgrade and the resort fee 10. 12 a day played upfront includes as many new clean beach towels as needed 2 chairs and an umbrella but I will say this, make sure to grab chair and umbrella earlier in the morning they go quick. Oh also they will put a hold of a 100. 00 to your card that's returned after your stay that is understandable. Parking is free from 6pm to 8am and after that is a dollar a hour but 3 short blocks up you can find parking free all day and night. Wi-Fi is spotty in rooms but is good in lobby and covered porch area. But was one of the reasons I chose to come so the family would spend more time together instead of on electronics.

Let me warn you about this hotel. This was the cheapest I found in Miami Beach so pretty much I couldn't expect much because for what I pay right. Some people say you get what you pay for. But this was the worse experience I had. The first thing my friend and I did was park in the only taxi cap parking they have right in front of the hotel. No one not even the front desk warn us about this. So if come very late like we did and tired just make sure you read carefully and don't park in the taxi parking they have. They towed the car and the only thing we got from the front desk was do you need the phone number for the towing company Really!. Also we ask for no housekeeping during our stay and yet they still came inside the room early in the morning to see if we were checking out. The rooms don't have private balconies we had to share it with the room next door. They have connecting doors. Some housekeeping ladies were very nice but front desk, all of them give you the worse customer service. While checking in Melvin was on the phone the whole time. Like I said before I know we didn't pay much for been near the ocean but still we didn't stay for free either so I think I still deserve some good customer service. Overall Run away form this hotel. Its crappy, very bad with parking, bad customer service and didn't feel safe at all. So I wont come back here that's for sure. And good luck if you try calling the hotel no one ever picks up the phone.

We were offered no other options or assistance for staying anywhere. We are still waiting for a refund because both places are saying the refund is on the other party. Of course it was a weekend where even all the hostels are booked up. Very disappointed in both the hotel, and Travelocity. So now because there are no rooms in the entire city that are not booked or are 21 + we are driving home, without our money, exhausted — missing a meeting with the University I was down here to tour. Pros: > We had good service; the ladies at the register were very nice and gave us more towels when we asked for some. > Very close to the beach; convenient location to a lot of local restaurants and shops. > The beds were actually pretty comfortably firm; I didn't wake up sore, and actually had good quality sleep. > Breakfast is served from 7 — 9 AM, though the Days Inn next door serves it past that time if 9 is too early for you. Cons: > Walls are thin, and you can hear a lot of what's going on next door, as well as from some of the other rooms down the hallway. > Cold shower water; didn't heat up at all while we were there. > Could only see the building beside us out the window. Nothing special, but nothing terrible, either. I'm not sure it was quite worth $124 a night, though!

I would not want to pay more than $30 per day for such accommodation. The only good thing is the location, it faces the beach, but the beach is not so good, a lot of weed, may not be easy for kids as the depth starts from your 5th step.

This is the best hotel in the world. They have the cleanest carpets, best atmosphere, cleanest sheets, and all the television channels you could ever want. Screw everyone who says otherwise, this hotel is the greatest, and offers the friendliest service, tastiest breakfast, and most modern Wi-Fi there is. 11/10 would stay here again.

This is a 2 star hotel expected to pay a 2 star hotel when you book it. Has a good location however the rooms are very dated and worn and some dirt and stains can be found.

Wow, had a great time got exactly what I paid for. A room directly on the beach, Old 60 era everything, good friendly desk service, clean sheets (inspected thoroughly) not for the big box Marriott people expecting big box square inspect every corner for proper caulking or OMG I saw a smudge or crack in the wall etc. If you want the original South Beach experience Great place. BUT IF lookin for a resort experience and want to stay in your room with room service May I suggest the Fountainblue Hilton or the Lowes Hotel @ $450 per night. See ya there, G$.

This hotel is absolutely nasty! It is probably compared to a motel in a small town. At first, our key didn't open the door neither could the clerk open it either so we got switched to a smaller room that you had to open with a KEY like a house key. I picked up the phone to call front desk and the phone did not work at all and was from the 1800s. Our floor was dirty, under the bed was not swept. I was honestly scared to lay in the bed, and we also had no iron to iron our clothes. The breakfast was warm juice and milk, muffins that are cheap nasty ones, and cereal that was two bites. Not any positive thing to say about them, they never checked on us or offered more towels (they looked at us like we were crazy when we asked for more towels to shower with). Lastly, our Wi-Fi didn't work. Not even downstairs! Do not stay here, should be avoided at all cost and torn down.

This place is horrible! The pictures displayed do not match how the hotel actually looks. The receptionists are rude, the rooms are tiny, and it is not safe. The hotel is run down, and dirty. Also smells very musky, for breakfast they serve toast, tiny prepackaged muffins and if you're lucky a small orange. It is not a family friendly hotel, it is mostly people wanting to party. It's not in a convenient area, is it across the street from the beach? Yes, but that it THE only positive thing about this hotel. To sum it up DO NOT STAY HERE.

I have never been so disgusted walking into a hotel room. The room was filthy to say the least, there were bottle caps on the floor and the ENTIRE hotel stunk horribly. The bathroom wasn't clean, the beds were falling apart, the shower made such a mess all over the entire bathroom and the TV was broken. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my stuff unattended and couldn't wait to check out. Horrible experience. When it comes to hotels, pay more. I will never sacrifice cleanliness and safety for money again.
