Stayed there last year on the way to key west. Was so cold the iguanas were falling out of the trees. Had a very pleasant stay. Perfect stop on the way to Key West.

Had the best time on vacation a few weeks ago. Staff is amazing especially Neeka, the server at The Tiki Bar. Would stay again. Very clean hotel.

The room was very clean and nice. Outside grounds are very tropical and the beach area is very nice. Breakfast has plenty to chose from.

We swam with manatees at the private beach and my husband saw a veritable herd of iguana in the morning. We truly LOVED this hotel!

We loved this hotel. They have recently renovated the inside and still are painting some of the trim. We had a wonderful service and when we needed towels the lady brought them immediately to the room. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready so we sat on the beach and when she called me to tell me she had the keys, she brought them out to the beach at the hotel. I have never had service like this anywhere. Plus the beach is just wonderful and it has a retaining wall that the kids use to jump in to the water. You can snorkel right off the beach and you can even rent a fishing pole and buy bait at the front desk! At first I was skeptical because it is a tiny two story, obviously old hotel. But we have had as much if not more fun here that we had at Hawks Cay on Duck Key! We will definitely be back. Sooner than later.

This hotel is GREAT! The front desk staff is wonderful, especially Chavone, the front desk manager. She was SO accommodating and nice! Chavone went above & beyond for us to make sure our stay was fabulous! Chavone is amazing! We got married here on their private beach and we will back again soon for more fun and will definitely be staying here at this hotel again!

The rooms are so quite the furniture in the room reminds me of the movie beauty and the beast they just need to come alive and dance. The sunset are so beautiful here and the staff is super nice and very friendly.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! They always said hi to us and asked how we were doing! We stayed 4th of July weekend and it was still very family friendly! Every thing was kept very clean! Nice white sand beach! The only bad thing was the water was full of jellyfish so we could only swim in the pool.

We loved it so much, we got married on the small, intimate beach in November. The hotel worked with us to accommodate our needs and our intimate group of guests. Great location. Spotless rooms and property.

They have a great breakfast which includes tropical smoothies. Nice sunset view with paddle boards and kayaks, its a good location.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Room was spacious and comfortable. Lovely relaxing beach area with beach bar at the weekends. Didn't use the pool as we were only here for 2 days but it looked very inviting. The iguanas were an unexpected surprise.

Room 250 has a very nice view of the water. Some people have given negative reviews based on the Bayview rooms. I understand why. The hotel is perpendicular to the water. Call and book and talk to the very friendly staff and ask for room 250. Lots of iguanas!

The hotel is fabulous. Comfortable beds and nice staff. I'd come back if I had the chance. Side note, a few iguanas roam around the back sometimes but they're harmless.

Found it a relaxing stop. Older remodeled place. Nice pool. Clean rooms. Good breakfast with hot food and plenty of seating. Enjoyed the small beach area. There was a manatee and iguanas there during our stay. Kayaks for rental.

Love this hotel! Everything is kept so nice and the beach area is so relaxing and the best sunset spot! Love all the iguanas! They’re everywhere! Room was very clean and everyone on the staff is SO sweet! Breakfast is yummy too!

Recently spent a few days here on a Scuba Diving trip. The extra space and kitchen meant we did not have to run out morning noon and night to get food. The upstairs bedroom is spacious and I found the couch quite comfortable although I never even pulled out the bed. The main level bathroom has a usable shower as well. The kitchen utensils are basic but functional. There is a 4 burner stove and oven as well as a microwave and "motel" style coffee pot. The full size refrigerator was also nice. Most nights I found myself relaxing on the screened in porch. The rooms were clean and with the extra space, we were not all jammed into one space. Dining opportunities abound and there is a full service Dive Store (Divers Direct) within walking distance and a Diving charter right next door. It is not luxury but solid basic accommodations that fit our needs perfectly.

This hotel was a godsend. We arrived a little after midnight. The front desk helped us check in right away. After 8 much-needed hours of sleep, we enjoyed a tasty breakfast, sharing the long table with a family from Barbados and another family from Denmark. The staff kept the food and drinks flowing. Made for a fabulous first day to summer vacation.

Great location and centrally located in Key Largo. Only complaint is both days the coffee stations had either cold or luke warm coffee and the second day the same with the breakfast bar. Staff was friendly.

This is a great hotel with great service and is situated right next to the water. The room had a pleasant fragrance and was quite spacious with a king sized bed and a couch. The bed itself was comfortable and gave a great night's sleep. The building itself is a little worn, but not concerning. The breakfast is free, but also what you'd expect for a free breakfast. Overall I would recommend and stay at this hotel again in the future.

Terrible workers. They gave our room to somebody else. At 11 pm a couple walked in our room. Our fault for not locking the door. Scared us and the couple. Found out that the hotel didn't have any other rooms for the couple. Hampton staff blamed it on Hilton for not updating the reservation right. The only redeeming grace was that we got to pet the manatees. Momma and two calves.

For the transit and the short stay for 3-4 days absolutely top. Highly recommended.

Excellent, but I am now in Key West and after a few dive bars there are no words other than go, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice little private beach, attentive staff and comfortable rooms, each with a balcony or patio. The pool looked nice although I never went in it. There is also a tiki bar open in the afternoons until 8 p. M. If you are staying in Key Largo, I think this is the place to stay. Families seemed really happy, and there was a state park less than a mile away that has diving and scuba tours.

Very nice rooms and friendly staff. Everything was clean and working order. A nice small private beach for swimming and pool as well. Enjoyed all the amenities, even a little happy hour tiki bar by the beach. I Would stay again when in key largo.

Friendly clean hotel welcoming. Lovely private beach. Iguanas add charm instead. Bemol: Disposable and non-recycled dishes by customers. An incentive for recycling would be welcome in view of the number of cardboard cups and plates used.

Great location right off the main road. Really close to some cool parks and restaurants. There is a pretty nice beach area with a bar and some chairs. Also have some kayaks you can use. Some people were swimming here but I think there are better places to go in the water nearby. Typical hotel style breakfast. Would stay here again.

Request poolside towards the beach, otherwise your view is a parking lot and second floor for a private balcony. We loved our view of the beach and palms. The room was nicely updated and the bed was comfortable. Housekeeping was super and friendly. The small beach was a perfect place to kick back and relax. Our only complaints were that the room has a musty/tropical air freshener scent that we didn't care for. And the other is that the tiki hut bar is only open Tuesday-Sat and if there aren't enough people at the hut they just pack up and close on you.

Very nice room. Everything was clean. Bed was comfy. Deck was nice. Breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot and cold food. Lots of great restaurants, bars, and grocery stores within walking distance.

Decent place. Somewhat dated but perfectly located if you're on your way to Key West or back. There isn't much to do here. Tiki bar and man made beach are adequate for an evening. Breakfast is standard fare. Mrs. Mac's close by is great for a filling dinner.

Hotel that date, Deco Defraichie, medium service.

Was very happy with our room. We had a second floor at the poolside. Room was clean as was the bathroom. The staff was fantastic. If you passed house keeping the always made sure to ask if we needed anything. Great location for fishing and just relaxing.

The staff was amazing and catered to our every need. A staff member saw we did not have pool towels and brought some to our room. We had an issue with the coffee maker, called, and within minutes we were given a brand new one. The free breakfast was fantastic with tons to choose from. One of the best places I've ever stayed.

When I checked in and open my room door (room 139) today (12/27/2017), someone has already been inside the room. I used Hilton Honor Apps to check in and choose the room 139 last night. But the receptionist let another family to check in the room which I picked last night. They didn't even double check their name. It was lucky that they didn't do any embarrassed thing when I opened the room door. It also makes me feel uncomfortable to stay in the hotel, I feel my room door will be opened anytime.

Great location, excellent staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was also clean, and very pretty and well landscaped. The beach area is small but pleasant with great views. The housekeeping staff is especially friendly and accommodating.

Decent place for the keys standard, especially on the water. People were nice and good location. The room was spacious but starting to get dated. The Carpet felt not that clean and the ac wasn't working that well nor was the bedside electric outlet.

Great rooms, really clean, beautiful decor in rooms and public spaces. Breakfast buffet was really well done, hot and they kept it full. Lovely little beach area out back, a tiki bar that opens in the afternoon and made a excellent daiquiri and per husband a great pina colada. The pool was pleasant but local ibis pooed all over the deck. Not hotels fault, but could use a scrubbing.

Ample free parking. Beautiful rooms with balconies. Good coffee. Friendly staff. Own beach, which is unfortunately not so big. Gym with weights.

We had a nice stay at Hampton inn. The staff was very friendly and we had a big room. It's cute being outside and see wonderful sunsets on the beach. There are also many iguanas you can admire. We refused giving 5 stars because as a European you are used to a higher standard concerning the breakfast.

Stayed here a while ago for an anniversary trip. It was clean, quiet, and had a great Florida Keys atmosphere. I think the pacific beach is prettier, but getting the sunsets over the gulf were gorgeous.

My wife and I stayed there on Nov. 16th 2009, our 35 anniversary. Everything was terrific. I was actually in the water in the afternoon as the manatee family went into cove next to the hotel. We bought fishing gear for my wife and when we left to go home we left all gear there. So, if stay there ask about the fishing. By the way she caught four fish and returned them to the gulf. Truly are best anniversary, and we have celebrated 10 more.

Stayed at this hotel for our anniversary weekend. It was very nice. It is small, but has a lot of nice features. The rooms don't have much of a view, but do have nice little porches. Very comfortable and clean. 24 hour snack shop, and 24 hour free coffee and tea. Room has mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast was great, and included make-it-yourself waffle machines. Will definitely be returning!

A lovely hotel. The staff very friendly. Rooms comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good and there were enough food choices to suit us all. The only negative thing… not enough table and chairs to sit and eat. We had to sit on a sofa with a small table
The biggest surprise which absolutely made our stay unforgettable was undoubtedly the spectacular sunset viewed from the hotel beach Stunning!

Loved it! We stayed here for our honeymoon while in Key Largo for Memorial Day week. The staff were very friendly, accommodations at the hotel like kayaking and housekeeping did a wonderful job, breakfast was great with a different variety every day, and the location was nearby everything. The property is very clean and well kept. Our beds were super comfortable! There is a lot of wildlife on the property like beautiful birds and tons of iguanas. The beach access and tiki bar was very convenient too. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back, highly recommend this hotel!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were clean and in good repair, the staff was courteous and charming, and the free breakfast was yummy. Their private beach was very pretty and the perfect place to unwind after a long day. Every morning we would wake up to wild iguanas prancing about the parking lot and they were very tolerant of humans. Key Largo is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend staying here. One note though, it is a pet friendly hotel so be careful if you have any pet allergies.

Nice clean rooms, great pool & small beach plus iguanas to keep you entertained. Manatees show up after a good rain! Good breakfast. Nice sunsets. Hotel reacted quickly to a problem with our sliding glass door, but treated us sourly due to a problem with our 3rd party booking site.

The room was nice. Clean and only a couple of floors, so easy to get to the room. The outside area was great. We relaxed In the sun in lounge chairs the afternoon and watched the sun set in the evening by the water. Check in was easy but note that the room wasn't ready until check in. We had hoped to get in a little early. We spent time at a very close by national park while we waited for the hotel to tell us the room was ready. Friendly front desk staff.

The room itself was very nice, spacious and nicely decorated, however our balcony faced a roof with a bunch of pipes and although they tried to disguise it with a palm tree, it was only half successful. Also, there were sugar ants everywhere in the room, on the bedside table, bed, little kitchenette sink area. The pool was very small and even though it was off season it was full of people, many unsupervised kids, etc, with no pool staff to keep order. The beach area was tiny and filled with jellyfish (not the hotel's fault), and another rowdy group was partying down there. This was not the resort feel I wanted for my family and it was not fun for my kids at all. Definitely not what I expected with a Hampton Inn. We checked out after one night and went to the Marriott.

Hard working people. Made experience great. Rooms were clean and service was always on top to make sure we had all needs. Our dogs were welcomed — this was a plus! People were respectful and cleaned up after themselves. Wish we had more of the beach/basin overview. The only downfall is our balcony faced parking lot. Not a bad deal as we spent most of our time out. Will come back! Diana and Joyce were both very pleasant.

This was my first visit and I was completely satisfied. They had a last minute cancellation and were able to fit us in. It was extremely clean with great accommodations. The pool was also very nice.

Review as of June 4th 2016 First of all I never review but after here I feel inclined to warn others of the false advertising. Well where to start, hotel itself is a bit old and average looking for a 3 star 200$+ a night. Pool is probably the smallest I ever have seen, beach is not a beach. Its some sand on concrete basically and is man made, attracts lots of mosquitos during the evening. Breakfeast is free, but they only have a small (kid size) omelette, ham and french toast, all the juice is from concentrate tastes horrible, honestly. In the end I would say only go here if there is a discount, not worth 200$ at all. One positive thing I can say is that the room was clean and I slept well.

The hotel, staff and rooms were very nice. Being right on the beach was also a very nice plus. HOWEVER, the carpet in our room needs deep shampooing BAD. My baby crawled on it for 20 minutes and her hands, knees and feet were totally black with grime. The rest of the room was very clean, and there wasn't a speck of visible dirt on the carpet, they just clearly need a very good, deep shampooing. Tom was also superbly helpful and nice.

Nice and clean hotel. Stayed in a king room with pull out sofa, spacious. Free hot breakfast, very good variety. Nice cafe area and friendly staff. Only negative was there was not a great view from my room, it was the parking lot. If you want a good view of manatee bay, you should stay by the pool. The is a small beach area with lounge chairs and was very nicely maintained. I would definitely stay again!

The rooms areserved spacious. I have stayed in a double bed and a king bed rooms. The tiled shower have great water pressure. The king room has a couch sitting area. Each room has a private outside setting area. The pool is 6 feet on one end. The hotel has a private beach and faces the sunset.

The room was overpriced because of the seafood fest $313 for one night. But I think this hotel is worth a 100 a night. We stayed in room 212 that looked like it was recently remodeled. The 2 queen beds was more like 2 full size. We were able to sit on the bay looking up at the stars… very relaxing. The FREE breakfast was nice. It included waffles, ham, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal and etc. I would stay again for a cheaper rate.

Room was clean and spacious. Loved the patio and fridge/microwave. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we we had everything we needed. Our dog loved this hotel, too!

I loved absolutely everything about this hotel. I went here on a trip for school with about 30-40 other students and teachers, and there was no complaints from any of us about this hotel. The rooms very so nice, the staff was so kind and welcoming. The staff really treated us adults and respected us, and we're only 13, which many adults don't do. They were also so patient as many of us lost our keys, or locked ourselves out of our rooms. And for those of you complaining about the size of the pool, walk 100 feet and the ocean is right there. The manatees and wild life added so much to the experience. I would definitely stay here again if I came back.

Tolles Hotel. Tolle Strandbar.

We stayed here overnight on our journey to Key West. Nice room; clean and comfortable. A friendly staff, and nice sunset views from the small beach and tiki bar, which served very nice cocktails to go with our sunset. The hotel is conveniently located on the Overseas Hwy near many points of interest in Key Largo.

Pet friendly. We were a little afraid to book this Hampton Inn based on some of the negative reviews, but noticed they were long ago and hoped the issues were resolved. We were traveling with a pet and they were VERY accommodating. The hotel is older but has been remodeled nicely, is very clean and is sitting directly on the water with beautiful sunsets. The breakfast was yummy and the lobby and eating area is very clean. If you have any issue, speak to SHANQUELL. She was very professional, courteous, and provided top notch customer care. She went out of her way to help us, even running from the lobby to the parking lot to assist us :) Any minor issues this hotel might have are balanced out against the lovely water front setting and fantastic customer service.

Location is great in Key Largo. Excellent facility, very good housekeeping, good fishing right on property, great view of the bay, very good continental breakfast in lobby, no such thing as rooms overlooking the ocean because the property is built perpendicular on the lot, but the rooms are very nice and clean. Paddle boarding Snorkeling and kayaking are available. Nice private beach to swim, snorkel, and play with manatees (yes, manatees show up around noon time) … and watch the beautiful sun set. So essentially this has been our most extraordinary vacations and I wished we could have stayed longer. I totally recommend this hotel. Stay was very enjoyable and room price is fair for what you receive. Looking forward to the next stay!

Price performance fits! We were for 2 nights. The Hotel is super, the rooms are sufficiently large and really clean. The Breakfast is more than adequate. The only drawback is the very small haueigene beach. Was for us but not a Problem. Again at any time.

Everything. Anyone with a negative review, either had an isolated experience or don't travel much. This hotel if booked in advance is under $200 a night, in one of the most desirable vacation spots in Florida. We were skeptical, because I haven't been to Key Largo and I'm picky with hotels. We booked last minute tho, so our options were out. When we pulled up, I was trying to stay positive. Looked like your basic business/airport hotel. I was hoping it was just clean at least. Got in to check in, and the woman at the desk was so excited about our stay (it was a surprise for our daughter) and filled us in on all kinds of things to do in the area and handed us towels to get her to the pool as quick as possible. Our room was very functional, a place for everything, modern and clean. Comfortable bed. I would recommend staying on the pool side, and bottom floor maybe if you have kids, would have been nice to sit outside and let her run around. We had a view of the parking lot, but hey, plenty of other views we found. We headed to the pool, and we're shocked, how beautiful the beach was. It's a small private area, great family enviroment. We swam with manatees as the sunset. They have very nice beach furniture, and plenty, and it's a great place to catch a quick swim or lounge and have a cocktail. There is an outside bar, but it's ran by a guy who lives on his boat out there with his parrot, so he is just there as long as people are having drinks.

I am just floored by all the positive reviews of this hotel. It is a dump, and that is me being nice. Not only is it a dump, it is the most unorganized hotel that I have ever stayed in. Lacks convenience. Where should I start? Room smells like wet dog, refrigerator in room smells like rotten seafood. Coffee in lobby old and cold. Laundry room on opposite side of the hotel and you have to walk back to lobby to buy Tide. Vending machines do not work on 2nd floor. Pool is small and Joyce the evening front desk clerk has a horrible attitude. I am warning you, do NOT stay here, splurge the extra $50-$100 for a real hotel.

Pros: Location is great in Key Largo. We are attending Dolphin Cove and it's convenient. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast in lobby is wonderful. Decorating is very nice, fresh carpet and wall décor (I'm into art and like to stay at places that make me happy). No such thing as rooms overlooking the ocean. The property is built perpendicular on the lot. Paddle boarding was fun. Snorkeling and kayaking are also available. Room price is acceptable for what you receive. Cons: Beach area is very small, very little sand, swimming in ocean is near seaweed. More like a lagoon. Both phones in room never worked for 6 days. Not that I needed to use a land line, but for safety reasons, the phones should be turned on. Pool is very small. The temperature was too warm for several days, but management corrected that after many complaints. I'm ok with Iguana's, but be prepared for large Iguana's walking across the parking lot and around the pool area (on the outside of the fence). Overall: Would probably look for a different hotel experience the next time I am in the Keys.

We have stayed here 3 times over the past 7 years. We really enjoy it every time. They are very busy in June and July. We always see manatees in their Bay. Good snorkeling area. Pool is small. Workout room is nice. Well kept facility. Great housekeeping staff! I preferred the rooms on the south side because parking is easier and it's closer to the workout room and laundry and the dock area that my husband like to fish off of at night. Yes, it's got good fishing right on property. The Tiki bar and pool are on the north side and it was loud for us. Looking forward to the next stay.

Beautiful room and friendly staff. Very clean. Breakfast was well stocked. Didn't get a chance to use the pool or tiki bar, but did get to meet the tiki bar parrot in the lobby which was awesome.

Stayed for three nights. Very clean building and room. Plenty of space in our room. Above average continental breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect private beach to swim, snorkel, and watch the sun set. Beautiful view of the bay. Stay was very enjoyable and priced reasonably. I would stay here again.

We saw Manatees on 2 of the 4 days we stayed there. Bliss! One manatee spent two hours swimming around the little bay area by the beach behind the hotel and was seen by dozens of guests and we even went into the water and it swam around us and allowed us to stroke it. An unbelievable experience. A couple of days later a huge one swam right across the front of the shore front and boat docking area and again we were just feet away from it. We wondered why they seemed to be "attracted" to people (they put there snouts up out of the water) and were concerned as to whether we should even be in the water with them but learned afterwards that what they are looking for is to be given drinks from bottled water containers as it saves them having to swim back so far inland to get fresh drinking water from the lake run offs as of course the sea water is too salty to be drunk. The hotel and room were fine and so overall this has been one of our most memorable vacations and we wished we could have stayed for longer but it was just a few nights before travelling on to Key West. No hesitation in recommending this hotel and if do look out for these manatees. Around 1pm onwards seemed to be the time they were in the hotels beach bay area when we were there. The first one even had a 6 feet long flashing safety tail tag leash on it to make it more visible to boats so it was easy to see it when it came into the bay. The second huge one we saw did not have the leash and so was not so easy to spot.
