0 stars. The worse hotel I have ever stayed in! Never mind the construction, the weird smell or the leaking AC unit in my room leaving my floor wet. I was offered towels as a fix for that. The thing that put me over the edge and caused me to write this review was my shower not working and the lack of promptness in fixing the issue. Asked if I could be moved to another room to shower. Concierge Roberto said the best he could do is send the maintenance man to take a look. Never mind the meeting I had to get to. Never mind I had to walk across the street to Hyatt House for breakfast in Floridas summer heat. This place is a compete joke. They should close down, do their construction and save consumers the time and energy of overstepping construction and having to jump through hoops to take a hot shower!

Bad customer service. I was promised a refund for parking. They refused after two weeks. Managers don’t care about customers.

Best deal for sure, free Wi-Fi, free shuttle to universal studios and our check out was at 2pm. I almost forgot the free continental breakfast! Always something different each day, perfect for theme park days — eat and go!
The rooms a large with couch and the staff is very friendly. We called for toilet paper and towels and received it right away. I’m sure most hotels at this time are short staff, the 3rd night they will clean your hotel room FYI.

Visited for my birthday weekend a few weeks ago and I must say my room was clean, beds clean and comfy, and professional customer service. Has a small issue with check in, but they got everything together promptly and I was very much satisfied.

Just a short walk to the parks and super clean. Front desk staff is great.

I was robbed. I got double-charged. They stole me money. They charged me twice for bad administration. Now I have a debt with my bank due to this hotel. The worst hotel. A nightmare.

I would stay here again in a heart beat! Not one bad thing to say about the hotel or the staff. Everything was extremely clean, very nice, and the staff is super friendly! Love the bar set up outside with the fires, nice seating and games, the breakfast was amazing everyday, The pool is really nice and we loved that it was heated, and the beds are comfy!

Minutes to get it. Few of the personnel were great (front desk). The guy was there was not that friendly.

Hyatt Place is located right across the intersection from Universal Studios Resort. It looks very clean and modern. The bedrooms and super comfortable and updated. With a Kitchenette fitted with a small fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and small stove top it is a great option for groups who might want to prepare something at the room. There is also an option for a separate bedroom for privacy when traveling with a bigger group. The pool and gym are very nice and clean, the bar has some great options, and the included breakfast is actually pretty great with an array of good options. Overall I've really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be looking to stay again.

Recommended Hotel. Clean, new and comfortable. I don't appreciate the 75$ fee for pet clean room even if just for 1 day. For more days is pretty convenient if you have a pet because you pay always 75$ one time. The location, common places and pool are very nice.

We stay 4 nights there. Best time ever at universal studios. Hyatt stay made it even better. Best hotel we stay at. 17 minutes walk across universal studios, but you can catch the shuttle from the hotel, they have really good breakfast, clean rooms, they let us check in 2hrs earlier prior to arrival, the staff is attentive, courteous, friendly, plenty of parking. Nice pool, bar and restaurant, I recommend the Hyatt house hotel is for everyone.

We were hoping to have the same experience as most; however, it was the complete opposite. The room was not up to our standards in cleanliness. Shower glass doors were dirty, the kitchen floor was sticky and the cups in the kitchen were dirty too. My husband dropped water on the kitchen floor and wiped it up with a paper towel and the dirt that came up was disgusting. The sofa bed was jammed, so we called front desk and someone came up immediately to fix it. The sheets from the previous guest were still on the bed, and the employee tells my husband to use those same sheets. My husband politely requested new sheets. It's a shame because the hotel itself is beautiful, but seems poorly managed.

Enjoyed staying at this hotel for two nights whilst here on bussiness. It’s obvious the building is older, but it is kept well and spotlessly clean. I didn’t have any problems with my room or stay. I found the staff were wonderful, polite and accommodating, and very well trained. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

The hotel had wonderful hospitality. Easy check-in and check-out as well as great breakfast choices before a long day. Also hotel is extremely clean, decent priced and in a great location.

Update: Dropping this location to 3 stars. Refused to make food when they have a 24/7 menu and advertise it everywhere. Had to order and eat the worst pizza ever. I’ve always been a loyal Hyatt customer and this location is a great reason why! Friendly staff, clean rooms and an excellent FREE breakfast! Wow! Can I say amazing breakfast options. The 6 cold cereal options, bagel/toast, eggs, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt with different fresh fruit… And even ALMOND milk! That is before getting to a great room. Two beds AND a pull out couch! Definitely a win on this hotel.

Great Hotel! Rooms are spacious and clean. Service is superb, the girls at the front desk were very accomodating to my requests. Breakfast is fantastic. Shuttles to Universal. Really great choice if you are going to the parks!

Nice sized room. Utilizing every inch with no wasted space including the standard coffee marker, small refrigerator, flat screen TV with easily accessible inputs, adequate closet space, sofa bed and comfortable king sized bed. A/C was a little noisy and the curtains leak more light than I like. Breakfast was filling with many choices. And cage free eggs.

Although it is a hotel of passage this very well located, can walk to the outlets to avoid trancones and congestion, its staff is very attentive.

The room was gorgeous! There was free breakfast, and the hotel was maybe 5 minutes away from the park. You practically sank into the pillows. My room had 2 twins and a large sofa that also functioned as a pull out bed. The pool was also very fun lol.

Well located Hotel near Universal Studios and 30 minutes from WDW, breakfast is varied and very rich.

Great vacation place! Close to Universal Studios. Free shuttle and we were close enough to walk back at the end of the night. Great service & breakfast. Do not order pizza delivery from the flyers pushed under the door. Order from big name places. HYATT was great.

Standard Hotel. Rooms are spacious but nothing special. Room with king size bed is okay but few options to allow. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For a few days without any uplifted demands quite okay.

Comfortable, a little bit over everything in the room and the breakfast is teeming, meet well for a place to sleep if isotas the parks.

It is okay to just come to rest in the mornings, give breakfast and there is nothing wrong.

As a Florida resident it was the best deal in town. Frequent shuttles to the park, fee parking and a free well assorted breakfast. The staff was terrific. The room was like a mini suite. A Universal ticket agent in the hotel was very convenient. TGIF was in walking distance for dinner. The pool has a great setting. If you elect to bring your dog, it is pet friendly.

Great customer service. Friendly and Clean environment. Kid and pet friendly. They brought up a playpen for my daughter as requested free of charge. Outdoor pool. Non smoking hotel. Right across the street from universal studios entrance and best pricing. The complimentary breakfast was amazing and buffet style fresh.

This hotel is located very close to Universal Studios in Orlando as well as many other attractions. There are many places to eat and shop nearby. The hotel itself is nice, though the rooms, and the while being very large, are in need of some updating and the bathroom is small for the size of the room. Other than that the staff were great and extremely helpful and there is breakfast included. Overall a good value.

Great hotel, nice ambience. Universal booth in hotel is very helpful as well as the shuttle service. Outstanding staff (and diverse staff), who were very helpful, friendly and not shy to converse. Shout out to Jorge, Farrah, Deanna, Danielle, Elizabeth and Marissa. The hotel serving Starbucks is a nice bonus, especially for anyone who wants a night cap. Overall a great gallery host hotel.

Hyatt Place Orlando is fabulous! The staff is the best I have ever experienced at a hotel; they are personable, friendly, funny, accommodating, and more! We were able to check in early (5 hours! ) and you cannot beat how close it is to Universal Studios. Personal shout out to Jorge, an employee who made our night awesome with his great company at the bar. Definitely choose Hyatt Place Orlando for your stay.

Our experience so far has been great. We had an early flight in, but we're still able to check in around 11, which was perfect so we didn't have to find a place for our bags. The staff was very friendly and professional. Hyatt breakfast is always consistent and not bad for breakfast away from home. Room was clean, well made, and exactly how you want a hotel room: nothing out of the norm. Would 100% recommend.

I loved the attention to the cleanliness good breakfast and the location is great is near Universal, and has free bus service and is close to premium outlet mall.

Loved the pool, breakfast was great with tons of choices and the beds were comfortable. We stayed awhile for NYE/my birthday and upon arriving we ran into an issue to which the front desk staff, I believe his name was Peter? Handled it immediately to our satisfaction. They treated us very kindly and went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Can’t say enough good about Peter.

Great stay! Rooms nice and comfortable. Blankets a bit thin and housekeeping takes/leaves random things (ie leaving four new towels but only taking one old one). Overall great experience. Close to Universal.

Best two weeks stay… members of staff made us feel right at home. Always friendly smiling faces… cant wait to come to the new building.
My kids were happy and comfortable. Even for christmas they allowed my husband to go down early n put the gifts under the their christmas tree. Wen the kids got up they told them santa came after midnight to drop of something for them… I must say best staff members. Felt like family.

5 stars all the way! Hyatt Place of Universal Studios is my hotel of choice whenever I travel to Orlando. The manager and some of the staff know me from all the times I've stayed here. It is such a nice feeling when the staff is happy and remembers you the next time you stay in a hotel. I have had the most wonderful experience here. I have had issues but there is not a single affordable hotel that will be perfect and I doubt even the most exclusive hotels can offer that. Any experience I've had dulls in comparison to the amazing service and experience the hotel offers. I am being honest to anyone reading this because I was not sponsored nor paid to write this review. I use reviews to base most of my expenses and love hearing no bs straightforward reviews. This is one of those. You won't regret staying at the Hyatt Place On Caravan Ct. In Orlando. 12-13-17

Excellent! Very good service, rooms spacious, clean. The breakfast very rich and varied. Good relationship quality-price.

The customer service here is EXCEPTIONAL! Jorge in particular was outstanding and made my trip amazing. He went above and beyond to help us out and make my stay impeccable! I can't wait to come back and stay here. Hyatt is amazing no matter where I have been. However, this one in particular was outstanding!

First off, the staff is nice. I have no complaints with personnel… Other than they gave us a room right next to a construction site that starts working at 6:00 am (yes, Saturday and Sunday too! ). I was never informed prior to my reservation either. I would have paid more to be able to sleep in the morning had I known. Breakfast: The food sucks! Not only does it taste bland but, they remove everything 15 minutes before… So hurry down to get your cardboard eggs! The layout makes getting food chaotic. They have ZERO trays to offer you if you want to bring food upstairs to your sleepy kids… I was offered an 8 × 11 cookie tray. Yes, a small ass baking tray. Elevator: Takes an eternity! The panel looks all scratched, coming off the wall, and old. Bedrooms: Not big. The bottom box of the bed looks stained and old. Bathroom: Unbearably small… And I am not a large person! Even my tiny 8 year old had issues closing the door. The door is placed maybe 1 inch away from the toilet bowl. A heavy person would need to stand in the tub to close the door. Also… There was mold in the shower. I hate mold! Vanity Area: The vanity/sink is placed directly in front of the beds. So the others can't watch TV in peace or sleep if you (like me) have to blow dry your hair. Pool: The pool is small. Looks like a motel pool. It's supposed to be heated but, I can't verify that for sure. Shuttle Busses: You have to get a "pass" to ride in the morning.

This was absolutely one of the best experiences I've had at a Hyatt Place. Staff was very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was outstanding. A special thanks to front desk supervisor Danny Carino! He's definitely management material. Approachable, friendly and very professional demeanor. He's a keeper!

Well-located, transportation to parks is included. Good breakfast. The rooms/hallways and elevators need updating urgently. They are building a hotel a few meters away, the noise from before 7 am.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our first room was by the elevator so we requested a move and got a room that reeked of air freshener. Be free breakfast food is poor quality and we decided not to do that anymore. It was super helpful that there is a ticket agent for Universal Studios based in the lobby. That was probably the best part of staying at this hotel.

First the big pro to this hotel is the location which is right across the street from Universal Studios. Other than that we were very disappointed. The cleaning services must have forgotten to clean the bathroom prior to our arrival as there was hair in the shower and the towels located on a shelf in the shower had a used dried bar of soap laying on them. One of the towels had stains on them as well as stains on the bed sheets. Also when we arrived it appeared as though they were trying to dry a water leak right outside of our room as they had huge fans drying the carpet’s. Because of this I have a feeling there was mold (and/or tons of dust mites) as I haven’t had asthma issues in years but woke up wheezing every single night in this hotel. Definitely not stay here again as it felt old and dingy and certainly was not cleaned well. I did report this to the night stuff when we arrived and did not receive any apology. However, when checking out I did let Elizabeth know who apologized.

Very nice, comfortable rooms. Extremely nice staff. Right at Universal. From breakfast I expected a little more. Not a waffle maker, but finished waffles. They were just lukewarm and very tough.

There was a power outage and it didn't work the generator set or the emergency lighting. Without light, the breakfast was terrible. After 24 hours we changed hotel and the other night was the same. All dark! Just saved the attention of Fara. The only representative of the hotel polite, friendly, and provides solutions to the. Guests of the hotel. The rest of the employees… do not know how to treat a guest… especially Adrian who only brings problems and says I can not. Will not, etc.

Had to evacuate from St. Petersburg FL. Due to hurricane Irma. Arrived very late (10pm) with my family and pets in tow. The next morning I went down to the lobby very early… And everyone I saw the night before was still there. I don't think any of them had much rest! I can't say enough nice things about Nina and Henry and the entire staff, during an especially stressful time for everyone. It was a bad situation for everyone involved!
I really did feel bad, because some of the guest we're very demanding in conditions that no one had any control of.
The entire staff improvised, stayed composed and were as accommodating as possible.
I would definitely stay there again under better circumstances.

We went to this establishment on short notice while escaping hurricane Irma just a few day's ago. Nice clean spacious rooms, hdtv, mini fridge and comfy bed. The people and service was awesome! Next time we go to Orlando, we know exactly where we will be staying.

Front desk was very nice and explained everything well. However, my significance other called down for help fixing thermostat and got a bit of attitude. Elevators don't work well. Otherwise we had a great experience. Rooms are very clean.

Service was extraordinarily fast and friendly, easily accessible location, not overly packed, quiet as well but still lots to do such as an exercise room, swimming pool, and a bar. Room was pretty large with a king bed. Small bathroom but not a big issue. Pool was very well kept too, very clean, plenty of towels, and other fun items around the pool like a balloon soccer ball and pool noodles. The hotel was also very clean every time I've came in and left. All in all, a very nice hotel that caters to every need for travelers.

It was so fun at universal. I went to all three parks and and it was awesome. The Hyatt was great to the breakfast was one of the best. There was construction next door but thats the only thing that bothered me. So in the end it was a great trip and I cant wait to go again.

Very nice and clean rooms. Helpful staff with on site Universal Studios concierge desk to arrange shuttles to the park. TGIF is next door to the hotel. Some construction going on to a new hotel next door but no big deal. It doesn't affect the Hyatt at all other than some construction cones on the road. Full breakfast with eggs, pancakes, fruits and more. It's also right across the highway from Universal Studios. Very family friendly. Our room attendant, Lourdes was incredible! Room always beautiful when we returned in the evening.

We had such a wonderful time this weekend at the Hyatt. Dispite the construction going on around the building (which wasn't a big deal), this location is across from Universal and right down the block from international Dr. The hotel it self was very clean! No roaches, No Bedbugs, definitely had great staff and check in took literally 5 seconds. One thing that was extremely kind, was that the house keeper noticed my daughter had 50 stuffed animals all over. When we returned from Universal, all her animals were tucked in on the bed (it made my daughter very happy, Thank you). Farrah was the young lady at the front desk. She was very helpful, had a contagious smile along with her great attitude. There was breakfast and different snacks throughout the day (cookies, juice, fruit) for free! The lady that continued to fill the breakfast trays and juice was extremely kind and kept the breakfast area clean, so it was always fresh and well kept. I just wanted to add that we always stay at expensive hotels and I can honestly say that our stay at the Hyatt this weekend was the best one yet, thanks to the staff and cleanliness. We will definitely be back again soon!

I love the Hyatt hotels for their uniform quality. However this location had several issues with a clean room I ordered 2 weeks upfront. However they fixed the issues instantly and made up very good. People working there were amazing, specially the cleaning ladies!

Pet friendly, never seen so many dogs in a hotel, as when I evacuated Daytona, In preparation for Hurricane Matthew. We had 2 dogs, 2 cats, & a parrot, In our room, all got along just fine! Rooms are clean, staff very friendly & accommodating, close to attractions, breakfast buffet (included) was great! I give it a thumbs up.

Staff was terrific at handling any needs and very knowledgeable. Hotel room was clean, water pressure was terrific, the bed was comfortable and ac worked as one would expect. The hotel is only a 20 minute walk to Universal Orlando with plenty of crosswalks.

Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Complimentary breakfast has plenty of choices and was a good start to the day. Beds were very comfortable and water pressure was exceptional. Only complaint was that the pillows were too soft for my liking.

The location looked a little industrial with all the construction but is was close which was great. The shuttle got us to the concert at universal hard rock on time. The room was nice and decent breakfast. Will definitely be back.

Came to Orlando to enjoy Universal Mardi Gras with my cousins; we really enjoyed the stay. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. We loved how close it was to the attractions. The staff was friendly and accommodating; especially Jenny at the front desk. We will definitely stay here during our next mini vacation.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional as far as htls go. The rooms were decorated nicely and provided adequate amount of space. The pool looked inviting and I was told its heated and opened all yr around.

The Hyatt Place Orlando/Universal is modern and clean, located about a 20 min walking distance from Universal City Walk. The pool is heated and open until 10 pm every night. The breakfast is pretty good and I also appreciated the food bar, which we used for. Dinner one night. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi, although pretty fast in the lobby, is quite slow in our 4th floor bedroom.

Overall good experience. Some minor issues in the room but nothing that detracted from the experience. The elevator was slow though and many people commented on it so they might want to check on it. The food was good and the service was also good.

Very nice update to a relatively old hotel in the area. Very convenient to city walk and the studios, free shuttle, and away from the bustle of international drive. Understand they are building easy access to the nearby mall as well. The elevator needs replacing/upgrade.

Very clean, very friendly, great breakfast. I actually forgot my I-Phone there and they found it, saved it and shipped it back to me. Whenever I had left a phone somewhere in the past it would NEVER get returned. Great location that is right next to Universal, giving you the option of walking there so you dont have to pay for parking. Yo just walk up and enter Universal through the Valet stand.

This place is horrible! Do not, if at all possible stay at the Hyatt Place Orlando. 1. When we went to check-into a room that was reserved months in advance, they didn't have our room reserved. Then we had to accept a lesser room with no rate adjustment. The key to the alternate room didn't work. This was after 4 trips to the front desk, a clerk and an engineer trying to get in. Finally we got assigned to a third room where the telephone didn't work, and the whole hotel was musty and mildew smell. The hotel did comp us $50.00 food. But that was no consolation, because the food only consisted of snacks and sandwiches, they couldn't even make a Margarita or had sparkling water. 3. The elevator went out 4. One day we left for the day and when we returned @5:30 pm tired, needing to rest, our room had not been cleaned and we had to stand by while the housekeeper cleaned it. 5. The free breakfast is toxic. Everything is microwaved, dried out or canned 6. The TV went out on 9/13/15 opening day of the NFL season… REALLY? 7. The customer service was horrible! The only person who seemed to care was a hard working young man by the name of Brian. The engineer. He fixed everything with a smile. He should be the manager as far as I'm concerned. I book this hotel via a travel agent so I had no idea these types of things could happen. Never again will I stay @ a Hyatt Place… especially the one in Orlando!

So… I'm having breakfast before my check out. The hotel location, could not be better. 5 Minutes from Universal Studios (you could go walking too), 5 Minutes from Outlets. The service is great. They helped me in so many ways… Always kind, always with a smile and good attitude. A lot of parking space, good pool, nice cardio machines to make some exercise, shuttles to Universal Studios and other destinations. Wi-Fi all over the hotel. Free. Nice connection. Rooms very nice. Nice beds, maybe the air conditioning was a little too much for the room (I don't use it too much). The price is more than accurate. I will definitely pick this hotel again rather than other hotels in — Park of Universal Studios.

Most importantly, it should be noted in the hotel information that the shuttle to Universal only runs in the mornings with late afternoon/evening returns. The elevators had issues with buttons and scraping sounds the entire week stay, and the inspection that was posted in the elevator had expired. AM Skillet was generally good but quality of hot food varied greatly at different times and days. There was no benefit getting this Universal partner hotel than a cheaper one nearby that had bigger rooms and beds.

Great little 3 star hotel. DIRECTLY across from Universal. Up to date Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Large free breakfast. Not giving full 5 star review only because the carpets throughout the place needed to be vacuumed. A linen closet stayed open with a few bags spilling out and a lone vacuum hung out in the hallway all night. Small issues but I noticed. I will stay there again when in town.

Comfy bed, great breakfast, wonderful location, shower so strong it almost left a bruise. Only flaw was the show elevator. Highly recommended.

I definitely loved staying here. I recently stayed at the Atlanta/airport Hyatt and fell in Love, Lol. Now I don't wanna stay anywhere else. This branch continues with the same HIGH standards, comfortable bed and sofa, clean bathroom, modernized look, excellent pricing, and Most of all perfect customer service. Recommending this hotel highly. Breakfast has lots of variety from french toast to fruit and yogurt parfaits. ☺ Once again the restroom area where the toilet and tub are is very compact kinda hard to get in and out.

I had a suite in this hotel. All seems to be renovated. Clean and comfortable. The room design is speciall except the bathroom whih is weird. Overall this place is pretty nice.

This is a great hotel. Loved the great hot breakfast, the proximity to Universal and the shuttle service. The location is great for shopping as it is close to the Outlet Mall. Customer service is always top of mind for all their staff as they were friendly and helpful. Overall, I would strongly recommend staying here.

Love the service, the shuttle to the parks and the breakfast buffet. Could use some reserved parking lots so you dont go random every time.

A great stay if you want to be close to the Premium Outlet and Universal parks, but also want to go to Disney theme parks and also drive to the city (it is in the midpoint between Disney and the city). The staff is very nice and the hotel receives deliveries from online stores (if you a a foreigner like me and want to send some purchases before arriving at the hotel, you won't have any problems with the hotel). I bought a Shopping experience package directly from the Hyatt website, which included a gift card and some credits for buying food at the hotel. The room is nice, new, with a lot of space, good for up to 4 people traveling together comfortably. Great for the price.
