I just feel amazing since I entered the lobby! Exceptional Customer Service! Good last time minute accommodations. Cleaned, and inviting. Perfect & easy access to the beach! And the bar site is very cool! Spectacular beach view from our room and Sloopy Joes so close so, not driving to go eat was a plus! My first time there but definitely, NOT the last one. Already planning to return very soon 🙌🏽!

We were here with a group and paid $$$ for a banquet dinner that was picnic food and they ran out of most of the food before everyone could be served and manager didn't care! Over priced and horrible service! So for $43 I had baked beans, salad and half a ear of corn and few pieces of fruit!

I love that it’s quiet, relaxing and they have things to do here that most places don’t offer. The restaurant is awesome and every person has been so friendly.

We love this hotel, great amenities, and gorgeous beaches.

They were very accommodating in setting us up with 3 connecting rooms for our trip. It’s a great place for families. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and they keep it very clean. It’s a good location for traveling to other beaches and restaurants if you want. I would recommend it for all age groups.

I got married at here and it was amazing! Everything from the staff to the atmosphere to the food was perfect! Highly recommend!

Rooms are clean & we'll accomdated. Pools are nice & love the quiet atmosphere! Resturant Sloppy Joe's is disappointing because they're short staffed so long wait times & hrad to get in to eat so we go elsewhere. Hoping for a few more amenities for the price you pay.

Sloppy Joe’s is great! The bartenders and waitresses are great and Super Bowl entertainment excellent… except all chiefs fans her.

We had our widows meetup here, this place is beautiful, beach full of shells, pool heated perfect! Food at our banquet was delish! Rooms are so nice, just beautiful! Staff extremely helpful and professional!

We stayed in an extremely clean room it had everything we needed. The balcony facing the beach beautiful. The staff was very nice. You have a weight room and laundry room. Well kept pool and hot tub. Our stay was wonderful!

I love this hotel! The staff could not be nicer nor more accommodating. There are so many fun things to do from sloppy Joe's restaurant to paddle boarding, kayaking, pool tables on the beach, even giant board games and smores at night. A great place for family fun and their suits come with everything you could ever need! our new beach spot.

We come here every year for our anniversary as we were married here on the beach. Love the location and the staff here is great. Saw a difference in the pool area as it was rowdy and absolutely no social distancing so if that’s a concern might wanna stay somewhere else. Lots of shared items next to the pool by Sloppy Joes — Hotel security tried to curtail some of the rowdy folks but without much success. The beach is beautiful with lots of hotel amenities for your resort fee (chairs, bikes, scooters, etc) We will definitely come back every year for our anniversary.

This hotel was a great choice for our family of four. We usually stay at another hotel on the island but glad we found this gem. The rooms were very clean and well kept we Really liked the kitchenette and full size fridge. Our room was gulf side ground floor right next to the Cafe and we really enjoyed the live music at night. Our boys loves playing in the sand every morning right out our back door. The amenities here are fabulous with free chair, kayak and paddle board rental. They also have bikes but only adults I wish they had a wagon to hook up for children but thats minor. The restaurant on site makes excellent drinks and food there is several others a short walk away. The big plus was the location close to all the shops and stores we particularly like tootsies doughnuts in the morning. We will definitely be returning every year for our family vaca. The only thing we did not like was the water pressure in the shower was very weak. I would definitely give them 5 stars.

Great staff and property. Loved the amenities and the fact it is so conveniently located. Was able to park the car and not move it for the stay. Hotel is right on the beach however the walk on the beach to the water is a little far for some. Rooms very spacious. For 4 women in a room together it was helpful that the toilet and shower are separate from the sink and vanity. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and pans so we were able to make breakfast one morning. We will definitely be back.

I absolutely LOVE this resort! The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly. The pools are wonderful. Our balcony view is BREATH TAKING! You have two restaurants on site with a deck and bar and bands at night, also two good restaurants right across the street! A grocery store a block away and walgreens across the street. Love it!

The hotel is right on the beach, which is lovely to wake up to. The cafe has delicious breakfast and is very relaxing. We’ve been several times. The staff are great, but the birds wanted to eat our food! Watch your plates! LOL — с Walter Kurt.

The room was nice, clean, up to date, it was excellent. All of the staff was pleasant. Our check in process was quick and easy. The cafe staff is nice and the food was great. Awesome amenities as well. However, the guy named “Turbo” was extremely rude with his remarks and snarks. We wanted to be able to go paddle-boarding as it is included in our fees that we pay and everyday he would not allow us. Today when we went up to ask again he made the snarky comment “you guys are persistent” then as I walked away upset he continued to make remarks. There have been several complaints about him as we were told when we talked to the front desk. We paid a lot of money to stay here and this man ruined our time at the beach.

This place is the best place to stay when you want to go to Treasure Island! The staff is absolutely courteous professional and very enthusiastic about their jobs! Food is excellent! Perfect location in between many different beaches! We will be going back again! This was our second time and we will definitely make a third and possibly a fourth!

Clean hotel. Nice and friendly staff. Lots of activities in and around the hotel. They offer bikes, but put them away at random times during the afternoon. Plenty of parking across the street. Beach is nice and peaceful. Overall had a very pleasant stay.

Very cute place right on the beach with 2 pools and hot tub! It's close to many restaurants and plenty of stuff to do. Great customer service Annette checked us in then called our room to check on us. The only thing that was disappointing was our tiny room in the corner but we made the best of it and really enjoyed our weekend. Will definitely go back hopefully a better room will be available.

We had our beautiful wedding here and Julie and her staff was very accommodating. Any minor issues we had they were taken care of right away. The venue is absolutely gorgeous! We had a penthouse and there was plenty of room for the bridesmaids in the master and groomsmen in the other bedroom. Both with spacious bathrooms. The resort had beach wheelchairs to accommodate the elderly and the Cafe Patio area for the reception was breathtaking!

I have a lot to say about this hotel. It is quite small, it has good beach views. You can't get much closer to the beach! It is basically on the sand of the beach. We had a pool side room and it made it so easy since we went with 4 kids. If you don't have a poolside room then I believe you pretty much get a beach side room. They have 2 dining options attached. They have a few amenities and some of the kids toys were broken. I would go here again. The kids didn't want to leave. I wish the restaurants just had VEGAN options! The rooms were clean, just needed a way bigger kitchen. :)

This trip to the Bilmar was nothing like the first time 2 years ago when it was wonderful. We loved it so much that I finally decided to make the 13 hour drive again to come back. I was disappointed to say the very least, I felt like I could never relax on our vacation. Construction outside was unpleasant as we were woken up each morning by jackhammers and terrible language from the workers. I understand that the city was doing the work but the hotel staff should have bee…n aware as it was blocked off. Something should have been said to us because we couldn’t enjoy our ocean front room or the balcony. No one wants to hear all of that on vacation! There was unsupervised children in the pools acting wild and no one else could enjoy the area. Neither night showed the movie that was promised and no explanation was given. The washer in guest laundry took money and the gentleman at the front desk acted like I wasn’t telling the truth but gave me the money back. He then said maintenance would come but later but informed me that they were off property and didn’t know when they would be back. The cafe staff was rude, the food was terrible, our bill was wrong and I eventually had to go the bartender to have him adjust for me. He was nice but our server was absolutely terrible. Two of the days we weren’t allowed to rent a paddle board or a kayak and we weren’t given a reason as several others after us that asked were allowed.

The staff was unfriendly. There was construction right outside of our room everyday (… that we were never warned about) The power went out and there was apparently no working back up generator. We ate at the Bilmar beach cafe, got there 1.5hrs before closing and the waitress was absolutely rude making us aware that they closed at sunset — it then took 2 hours to get our food. The room was nice besides the nasty sticky residue all over the floor. When we complained at the front desk about the issues (which we NEVER do) the front desk clerk was not helpful and brushed the issues aside. We will not stay here again, nor will we recommend the Bilmar to anyone.

Very nice place if you love the beachfront. Awesome pools they have 2. Really nice cafe for a bite to eat or just drink. All with a waterfront view. Housekeeping was fast and efficient for cleaning your room. Luv the ceiling fans.

This place is great. Amazing beach (bring chairs and be prepared to walk a ways to the water cause the beach is HUGE), super nice little cafe and restaurant too. You almost don't need to leave the resort for anything.

This is a motel, not a hotel. That being said, the rooms are very well kept, and it's very nice for what it is. We were happy with it overall bc it was only 80 bucks a night and it's right on the beach. You can hear EVERYTHING outside and in adjacent rooms. There were people on the porch until 3am, so I wouldn't recommend for families. We might stay here again if we are in a party-type mood.

We just got home from an amazing 4 night stay at the Bilmar Resort! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are newly renovated and very clean! The two pools were great! We enjoyed the nightly sunset at the beach and picking up seashells on the shoreline. We also enjoyed a very nice meal at the restaurant (Sloppy Joe's). We love Clearwater but staying there is very expensive. It was a quick and beautiful drive just north to Clearwater Beach which was perfect for us! We also really appreciated the convenience of having a Publix just across the street! We hope to be able visit again soon!

This is an awesome place for family or a romantic getaway. The restaurant has good food and the cafe is great. Very large beach area. Love is hotel. I would recommend this hotel very definitely!

We visited the attached beachfront restaurant Sloppy Joe's, which is open to the public. This default to five stars regardless of service or food because they have one of few beachfront dining options that offers a remarkable sunset experience. I recommend the outside patio where you have an unobstructed view of the water and salty ocean breeze in your face. Food is okay, service is good, atmosphere makes it.

Great place right on the beach. Has wonderful facilities and pool area. Every Thursday they show a movie on the sun deck by the pool. Great spot for weddings. Has a restaurant right next to it called Sloppy Joe's. The parking is kind of inconvenient. They have a separate lot because they have limited parking in front.

All the new renovations are a great upgrade! They redid all of the rooms! They are now one of the best places on the beach. Their restaurant and bar are a nice place on the beach for brunch. I would recommend a stay here or a visit to the bar.

I have been vacationing in this area of Florida for years and was referred by a friend. She loved it and so did my family. Hotel was clean, the amenities are great. 2 pools, hot tub, beach chairs and bikes. Restaurants all around. John's pass a mile down the road. Our room was clean and newly renovated, small but comfortable for my family. We will definitely come again. A great alternative to the busy Clearwater Beach area.

We had an amazing time at Bilmar. After spending a couple of nights at another hotel, we moved to the Bilmar. The rooms were much nicer. The front desk, especially Alicia, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She accommodated our last minute room booking and was able to find the appropriate discounts, and was able to provide us with early check in. The rooms were clean and updated. The housekeeping staff made sure everything was acceptable. I will definitely recommend this hotel and I will stay here again. Out of the many hotels we stayed at in this area, this was our absolute favorite. Room service was an added bonus. The view was magnificent.

The staff, especially the reception of Mia was fantastic! This is a great property that was built in the 60's that been renovated. Modern room with a beach view. Lots to do within walking distance, and the beach is your door front. I would definitely go back!

Just returned from 5 nights at the Bilmar. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in a efficiency room with 2 queen beds. The room was clean, remodeled, great view of the ocean and equipped with a full size refrigerator, 2 stove top burners, microwave, coffee pot, and serving utensils. We found the property to be clean and have great, easy access to the beach. The rooms can be quite noisy at night as the door to the room is not heavy or insulated so you can hear a lot of noise from outside and/or from the patio if a wedding is on going. The daily amenity charge is somewhat misleading and I would recommend that consideration is given to making it more clear. Per the website — kayaks and paddleboards are included in the amenity charge — this is true — however it should be noted that it is a 1 hour rental per day per room of either paddle board or kayak. My expectations were that these would not be limited per the description on the website. I also felt that the front desk staff needs more training on the area — we asked for assistance on best places to eat, island taxi service as well as transport to the airport. Our questions were often not answered fully or recommendations were given that did not quite match our question. In particular, I was told that transportation to the airport could be arranged for $60 which they indicated was less than Uber/Lyft.

My family and I would definitely stay here again! BEAUTIFUL PRIVATE BEACH! The hotel combs the sand every day and it is so white and powdery soft. I miss the beach already! The room was nice and the staff was friendly too.

Came here for an event, which I would highly recommend. Staff was extremely accommodating, and the event couldn't have turned out much better! The rooms were relatively full, yet there was very little noise. Rooms were very clean and reminded me of a Marriott. Bedding was wonderfully comfortable, and the view of the beach is worthy of a postcard. Overall this was a wonderfully relaxing stay, I cannot wait to return for the next event I am hosting, and I would recommend this place for events or just a personal room. The only thing they could have done better, is that there was a lot of remodeling and construction going on, with workers all over with extremely noisy tools! Luckily, they were only working during the day, but several areas have been closed off with no alternative route available. Besides that, my stay was fantastic.

Been going there 5 years now. Got married on there beach. Beautiful setting. People r great. They always solved every problem we ever had (fast). Going back. We love the sand carvings in Nov. Good place to be. In the center of everything.

All of the staff members we came into contact with were nice. The guy working the bar at the beach cafe the couple evenings we went down there was awesome. Very nice guy. The rooms were nice and clean. All of the balcony rooms were taken but we still had a great view of the ocean. Even though it was a bit chilly the pool was heated and my kids were able to have fun swimming.

I loved it! Very beautiful views of the ocean. Plenty to do for children and adults. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was very clean. There was plenty of storage, microwave,, and refridgerator. Even with construction going on right outside the door you could hardly hear any thing. If you had no money at all left after paying for your hotel expenses and could only afford to stay in the room you would still be completely satisfied and happy. Bring your camera. Plenty of night life, dinning, and shopping just next door or across the street.

Love this place, especially the bar/restaurant. Fun place, great employees, the drinks are heavy on the alcohol yet we'll made, food is above-average for beach food. I haven't stayed at the hotel because I'm a local but it's constantly booked. They have special events all year round which I attend and are good for family fun as well as the singles I hang with. Oh, and don't forget there's a new sunset every night. ;)

We booked a week at the Bilmar months ago. When we got here it was obvious a major renovation was underway. It was Saturday so no construction was underway. But come Monday morning and every weekday morning all the work begins bright and early at 8:00 am. They are demoing the rooms above, below and next to ours. We have a poolside room, but you can't go to the pool due to all the construction noise. This is a vacation we have been waiting months for and this is what the Bilmar choose to give us. The other end of the hotel is not under construction and quiet. We asked the front desk attendant to please move us to the other end of the hotel, where we should have been given a room and she just says, "Sorry, but don't forget our free cookies". We love Treasure Island and have come here for decades, but we will never come back to the Bilmar and recommend you don't either. If you need a hard hat you shouldn't be here.

Excellent location, right in the middle of everything. Rooms were recently remodeled, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a beach walk out room and the beach was amazing as well. Absolutely zero complaints and I would strongly recommend this hotel. Thank you Bilmar, you certainly made my wife and I very pleased for our anniversary.

Great views, excellent atmosphere. Waiter was a little slow for how few people were there but not too bad. Food was pretty good. Supreme nachos were great, surf and turf burger was good.

Freddie and Courtney are by far the best bartenders. They were very attentive and ready to serve us. Thanks for everything! We truly enjoyed the time spent at the hotel and at. Will definitely visit again when in the area!

Came for some good reggae music, but I guess the party was canceled at the last minute. The bartender was super friendly and the drinks were tasty and strong! I live walking distance so I'll definitely be back.

Very nice stay. Nice to be able to go from pool to beach and music at pool was good. Food from the in house restaurant very good. Only thing I would change in bigger pool, more chairs.

The hotel is an older one, and we stayed in the tower which is newer, but it is well maintained and clean. There were employees constantly cleaning, sweeping and attending to our needs. The room was large and had a mini kitchenette. The only down side, besides only getting to stay one night. Was the tall lip on the bottom rail of the siding balcony door. OUCH! Kicked that a few times going in and out! There are two pools and a hot tub at one. They were both clean and very well maintained. We had breakfast at the restaurant the morning we left and it was great along with the service. We will be back!

Great resort. It has a beautiful beach with fantastic sunsets. The rooms where very clean. They have a nice cafe down stairs with indoor and outdoor dining. They have many other activities such as bicycles, kayaks, volleyball, corn hole, and two pools. And free coffee in the morning. They have the Friendliest staff ever. The only issues we had was the air conditioning in the rooms was not perfect. The room stayed at 75 degrees which was fine, but I wish it was colder. And the ice machines broke down while staying. If you wanted ice you had to go across the whole resort and into a different building. The ice would be almost melted by the time you would get back. Over all I would recommend 10/10.

The Belmar is a very nice resort hotel. The beach is beautiful and the rooms are a good size. It is nice they have a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. Great location with quick access to downtown st Petersburg.

Amazing stay. We had a pool/ocean view suite. Very pleasant staff and accommodations were superb. Only downside was the option of channels. Nick and Cartoon Network are not toddler appropriate when needed.

Quoted our room 279.65 a nite, then added on extras costs of 70.26 in taxes and amenity fees A DAY, which we never used! Theon bathroom tub wouldn't drain. Be very careful what they quote you, our room ended up being 349.91 Dollars a day, instead of 279.65 they quoted us over the phoneď. Over spring break this hotel double their prices. Other hotels cheaper. Won't stay here again! Not to mention, the smell of garbage in the hallways, the restaurant next door, sloppy Joe's isn't as good either, I recommend eating across the street at Ricky's T, the food there is excellent and it's clean! I don't see how people can give this resort a five star, believe me it's not. Out dated…

Great service, clean rooms, and great location. This resort is one of many non-chain resorts along the Gulf coast. They will be small, older style places, so set your expectations accordingly. The Bilmar has two pools, free Wi-Fi, and a great beachfront location. Lots of updates have been made all around the resort. Put them on your short list!

After always staying in Clearwater we decided to go further south and we discovered this gem! Our room and Tv were tiny but we didn't care. We didn't come to the beach to watch TV in a tiny room. You'll love access to beach toys (kayaks, paddleboards) 2 pools, Awesome location walking distance to Publix and local bars. The Free Taxi will shuttle you to John's Pass for a great night out! We'd be back Today!

Nice older hotel in great location. Treasure island reminds me of Clearwater just with lot less people. Very nice I must say. Our full bed was in need of replacement. Besides that room was clean and updated bathroom was as well we had a gulf front room. Very relaxing area to come and chill.

Very nice hotel love the pool and bar/lounges. Staff seem really nice. My only complaint is ocean is a little far out and I rather had a ocean side room verses a pool side room and lastly they need more parking. But for a picky person like myself very nice hotel.

Well, we have come for 4th of July week, just about every year (give or take a few hiatuses, here or there) for about 30 something years. Sadly, we won't be doing that again. It is a wonderful place if you like a lot of drunk trashy people laying about or sitting in corridors dropping their beer bottle caps and spilling alcohol as they stumble around the property. All the drunk people come with a minimum of 3 children, each, that they are too drunk to watch so they just run wildly through the halls or play unattended at the pool. So if you happen to be sitting by the pool, you might need to save one. If you allow your own children out of the room, they will need a gas mask or they will return stoned. Apparently, beer is only made more enjoyable with copious amounts of marijuana. (Some people call it Mary Jane) If you are lucky enough to get a table or a chair by the pool, don't everybody get in the water at the same time because a drunk person will try to steal your spot AND all of your electronics. Parking is a joke. God forbid you move your car once you get a spot, you'll have to park on the mainland and walk across the bridge. According to the parking attendant, the restaurant guests are more important than the hotel guests. It is a totally affordable hotel, if you put 5 adults in one room and split it 5 ways. (If you're in to that sort of thing and apparently MOST of the people who stay there are. ) Quick shoutout to room 303.

Wonderful hotel. Only downside is the walls are a bit thin and the rooms have tile instead of carpet (which is a personal preference) but the staff was all great, the distance to the beach was so nice, and I wish we could have stayed longer than 2 days.

What an excellent hotel located directly on the beach! We had a room that opened right up to the sand and lounge chairs awaited us. The amenities are unmatched! Two pools, free Paddleboard and recliners, umbrellas $5 free for use at their bar. Free beach towels. Fresh fruit infused water located in the entrance. There is a very relaxing upper deck that can bed used to lay out and get some sun and it has some games for the kids. The front desk staff is incredible! Anything you need they are willing and happy to help. 5 stars! When your looking for a relaxing hotel to kick back and relax on the beach this it. Cant wait to come back again! paddleboard.

I went for a conference for my job and had an excellent stay. Very friendly staff and extremely clean rooms — you won't regret it.

Traveled 4/30/2015 — 5/3/2015 Ladies Weekend! Hotel is very dated. Rooms were clean BUT there was a HUGE red stain on the carpet Room 208. GROSS! The food from the restaurant we very tasty. Not to pricey. Came out cold the one night and took forever to get hot food. The chef that brought the food out was RUDE and seemed annoyed that we wanted a hot meal that night. NOW I am not really a picky person but I was like they just took my ribs out of the fridge. They do not have enough servers so be prepared to wait. That being said, the servers that they do have are very nice and apologetic. Very nice view from room 209. Room 208 has windows that are above the bed and to high to even look out. Beach is right out back BUT is a bit of a walk to the water. We did not mind! Everything closes early and there were not that many young people (27-36yr)! Full of people 50-70 yr old. If you are in the younger age range I would go somewhere more "fun" For people coming from out of town. When getting a chair for the beach or towel it is a bit ridiculous. We were traveling with 8 people. 4 to each room as permitted by the resort. BUT when we went to get chairs and towels they would only give them to two people from each room and made the other two pay. CRAZY! We all paid to go on vacation why do you only let half the people at your resort use the amenities. Little things like this I will think to ask before we plan our ladies long weekend next year.

Our room was very comfortable and clean with a great view with very pleasant staff. Customer service however was the best — a week after we departed I realized I couldn't find my earrings and realized I may have left them at the hotel. I called lost and found and they had the box with the jewelry! We made arrangements for them to be mailed to me and they arrived within a few days — wonderful experience all around.

Great time. Right on the beach at treasure island. We went during spring break so one night there was a lot of music due to the students. Was not too bad. Lots of super restaurants around. Staff was great. Highly recommended.

The hotel was very nice. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was tasty.

Excellent staff, very clean, well maintained. Ate in both restaurants. Really central location, publix close by, walgreen's across the street, other good restaurants within walking distance. Had a room with balcony, beach side.

The Bilmar is a great affordable hotel on the beach. The appearance does appear to be a bit 60s but everything is clean and fresh. I came off season, so at one point we did notice them repainting, which of course is to be expected off season, but the area did not appear that outdated so I believe it just goes to show that they keep up on their appearance. The rooms do appear to be a bit small but honestly a great value for the dollar. They come with a nice little kitchen, with dishes, a clean bathroom and comfortable bed. The kitchen had a very nice bar like area with stools to eat at. Over all the room was a bit small but extremely clean and comfortable to be in. The pool area was very nice, with a hot tub. The only things I disliked about it was the fact we had to sign for our beach towels at the desk and the timer for the hot tub that looks like it was ripped out of a bathroom and shoved on an old 2x4. I understand that it could stink seeing your towels disappear but honestly they should work out a better way to do it. The switch just needed to be updated bad. One nice thing was the child locks on the fence around the pool. Its good to know that if I come back with my kids, the area will be inaccessible for them with out a parent. One of the things I liked most about this area was the nice quiet atmosphere. My wife and I had a first floor room on the beach and we could just relax outside our room.

A nice older hotel that was built in the 60's. It was alright. The room was small, on the water, but no balcony. I was on the 3rd floor. Good value for the dollar. Internet connection was 1.26 down/0.59 up (not great). TV was good, great selection of channels. A few restaurants and bars around. The beach is a long long way from the hotel — for some reason everything on this stretch is no where near the beach (look on Google Maps). We had one garbage can for the entire room, and no breakfast included. There is a Publix just down the road, and a couple places for breakfast in the hotel and across the street.
