Clean rooms. Greg and front desk folks are the best! On the main street and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, river walk. Same and consistent each of the numerous my stays.

Great people and lodging. We will definitely stay here anytime we go to Steamboat. Rooms were clean and spacious. The owners are very nice and friendly.

Nordic Lodge is a great place — the owners are very warm and welcoming people. We felt like we were with family from the minute we arrived. The location of Nordic Lodge is primo! The walkability to restaurants, a bakery, shops and scenic walking paths is perfect. The public library is a 4 minute walk and is absolutely beautiful. We will be back same time, same place next year.

My fiance and I have stayed at the Nordic Lodge twice now, and each time has been amazing! The lodge is centrally located to everything down the main street of Steamboat, and is within short walking distance to great shops, restaurants, and bars. The rooms have a great view of the ski slopes and are very spacious and clean. The staff is amazing and a wealth of local knowledge and information on the best deals around! Emily, one of the receptionists, was incredibly accommodating and helped us find the best places to visit in Steamboat. We will never stay anywhere else when visiting Steamboat Springs!

Great People. Beautiful rooms. Fits Steamboat well! Walk to everything downtown! Enjoyed our stay. Will be back!

Very nice staff and rooms. Great accomodations. I visited for a bike race and the trail was less than five minutes away. Very pleased with my stay.

End of summer sister trip. Sometimes you just hold your breath and hope for the best when you are not familiar with a hotel property… this time you can all breathe! Can't say enough about this place. We had a 1 bedroom, 2 queen beds (and a futon in family room area) small suite. Not one flake of dust on the baseboards. So clean! Futon was a bit older, but maybe someday they will replace with new one. Certainly wouldn't deter another stay. Beds were comfortable. Owners were amazing! I've never seen a continental breakfast like this before. Crazy amounts of fruit, cereal, waffles, healthy breads and bagels with toaster, Donuts, muffins… Cream cheeses, jellies. Even Nutella. These guys are doing it right. I love supporting small local business, and a place like Nordic Lodge is exactly the reason why. See you next summer!

Great family run lodge! They made us feel right at home when we walked through the door. We had 5 adults and the gentleman at the front said, “you can certainly have this room but you might be a little cramped. Why don’t you take a look at a few other options before you make a decision” He then gave us 3 room keys to take a look at different options. We ended up getting into a much bigger room with 3 queen beds for only $20 more! Breakfast was lovely — they served cereal, hard boiled eggs, an assortment of fresh fruit, muffins, donuts, bagels and waffles! Coffee and tea too! Highly recommend for your stay in steamboat!

We had a wonderful stay here at the Nordic Lodge. The management was very friendly and helpful, the king-sized room was very clean, with fresh paint, and completely upgraded. The bed was very comfortable. AND the breakfast had a variety of fruit, pastries, yogurt, and great bagels. Add in that you are right downtown within walking distance to lots of nice shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back.

Very well run motel. Always clean and being improved upon. I don't know why anyone would stay on the mountain. This place is downtown and on the bus route.

During a ten-day cross country drive, Nordic Lodge was by far the best place I stayed. Lacking the dull (but reassuring) sameness of the chain hotels, it is as individual and charming as the personalities of the owners, Tzabela and Greg. The complimentary breakfast was uniquely varied in its quality and offering. A really comfortable and interesting place to spend a night. I hope to go back for several night sometime…

This is my 3rd stay here, this place has everything! Rigth Lincoln Ave! Has a nice, private creek in the back! Pool and hot tub! Pet friendly! Best price In town! Great breakfast! friendly staff.

We really enjoyed our stay! The lady at the front desk (I forget her name, sorry! ) Was SO nice and welcoming during our check in, she was very knowledgeable on the area and made us feel like we were visiting her home. We met the owner in the morning and he was also one of the kindest people we've ever met! Wonderful people who have a wonderful hotel. The room was clean and all of the amenities were comparable to some of the higher priced big name hotels. Thank you so much for the hospitality, we will definitely be back!

This was an ideal place for my boyfriend and I to stay. The staff was very friendly, the beds were amazingly comfortable and the continental breakfast was superb with many options of food to choose from.

Excellent location! Walking distance to all of down town. Hotel staff was super helpful and had great recommendations. Room had everything we needed and was clean. Definitely will be staying here again.

So glad we stumbled upon this lodge. It is family owned by the sweetest European couple and right in downtown Steamboat Springs. My only complaint, my one night stay just wasn't long enough. In walking distance to so many restaurants, shops and a 15 minute drive to the most beautiful natural hot springs. Rooms were extremely clean, really nice hot tub (pool was not available due to the time of year) awesome coffee and a huge spread for breakfast. This 2 star hotel is more like a 3 star with a 5 rating. We will definitely be back!

Had a wonderfully comfortable night stay at the Nordic Lodge, Owner and staff were great, especially Genivee for all her help. Pet-friendly and close to all things in town. Fresh fruits, pastries, and multiple choices for breakfast. Sleep well, clean rooms, Hot Tub, too cold for the pool at this time but will be staying here again when in Steamboat Springs. Thanks.

This is absolutely the best affordable place to stay in Steamboat Springs. The owners are nice people who care about giving their guests a great stay. The rooms are clean and have the softest towels. The hot tub room is large and very nice. The breakfast is truly amazing for a continental breakfast and features fresh items from a local bakery and all kinds of fresh fruits among other items. We will be back!

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Excellent and friendly staff, fantastic location next to the old town area, and shuttles to the slopes. I'll definitely be staying here next time I'm in the area.

Exceptional Service! Very charming! Greg and Emily were fantastic! Day 1 Emily sat with us in the lobby and help set up an itinerary of suggestions to do around Steamboat. And on our check out my wife wasn’t feeling too well. We had to go by a pharmacy and Greg at the front desk extended our check out so my wife could come back and get a shower before we headed to the airport. Beyond kind and considerate. Thank you.

We usually stay slope side, but we booked last minute so we ended up here. The rooms are basic, but they are clean, comfortable and have everything you'd need. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, more than I have encountered in recent travels. Forgot phone charger? They gave us one. Forgot large towels for hot springs? They gave us a couple. Most important for us, this was the only pet friendly place that was actually pet friendly and didn't give us a hard time about our dog. Walking distance to restaurants is awesome and to go ski, just take the free bus right across the street. We'll stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful desk staff. Solid breakfast with gluten and dairy-free options. Rooms were reasonably sized and beds comfortable. Downtown location was great, with easy access to shops and restaurants. I didn't realize what a nice perk overnight parking was until I arrived. The pool was drained for the winter, but there was a wonderful sun room with a jacuzzi. Prices were very competitive for the area. My only real complaint was the slow Wi-Fi, though that is typical for hotels in the evening. I would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay for a weekend. It's family owned and run, so the staff is really invested in your stay. Breakfast is great and they're really good about accommodating dietary needs. Rooms are clean and well maintained. We will stay here the next time we visit!

Had a last minute emergency that made it necessary for myself, my brother, and dog to find a hotel room. I saw the good reviews on this place and gave it a shot. The staff and owners were very nice, and more than accommodating, very reasonably priced, and in a good spot in town. The room was very clean and updated. They were more than happy to offer a pet friendly room which is really convenient. Definitely would recommend this place for anyone with dogs looking for a good deal and a nice room.

Super comfy rooms. I love having the fridge and microwave. The included breakfast has fresh bread rolls, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit (and donuts). I also like the staff, its nice having a conversation with friendly locals. Also, its within walking distance of great restaurants, free bus, and walking trails (big deal as I stay with my dogs).

We had a fantastic stay. Staff was professional and helpful. The room was clean and quaint. The hot tub was beautiful with magnificent views. Breakfast was Continental style with fresh bakery bagels, (numerous smears), pastry and donuts. Five types of fresh fruit, largely diced. Warm hard boiled eggs, numerous types of cereal. Good value, highly recommend.

I will say that the place was clean, but definitely dated & small. You're not coming here for anything fancy, but it's a decent place to lay your head for a night of sleep. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, although they told us we had a great room with a view… the only view was toward the walkway & parking lot. They had a Continental breakfast, although I didn't try it. Again, nothing fancy & no real "perks" if you will, but conveniently located on main street & a decent place to catch some winks.

Immediately Emily at the desk made me feel very welcome. She was so helpful getting my room and helping me find local businesses and services I needed for my stay. The room was very clean and neat, and the rustic decor just added to my relaxation from a stressful last few days. Many thoughtful details like extra towels, nice soaps, breakfast in the morning, and advice for getting around town without a car make the Nordic my new go to place in Steamboat. They also have an indoor hot tub and an out door pool. I'm very pleased with my choice to stay here.

We had a great experience with a young family (3 month old included). Everyone on staff was great and we loved the stay including a great spread at breakfast and the refreshing pool/hot tub. Really enjoyed being within walking distance to everything downtown, very convenient for family. Highly recommended.

Recently spent three nights at Nordic Lodge with my dog. It's always a little intimidating trying to find a place that welcomes dogs so openly. Not the case here! At check in, I was told the general premise of… "We understand that sometimes your dog will be left in the room. As long as we have a phone number to contact you if your dog is barking, so you can come back… it's fine. " Wow, thought that was a great, upfront, and fair policy. Meant a lot to this dog owner! Dog stuff aside, the rooms were clean, comfortable, great morning breakfast, and cozy pool & hot tub areas. The staff were fantastic & genuine about wanting your stay to be the best it could be!

The people were so nice! Emily and Genevieve went out of their way to make our stay great. Beds very comfortable, sheets soft, western decor new and laundry facility available. Basic breakfast, great doughnuts but coffee could be a little better. Very clean rooms and pool area nice next to River. Will definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Nordic Lodge for 3 nights. The breakfast is outstanding! It includes fresh bagels, doughnuts and pastries, hard boiled eggs, bread, several popular cereals, yogurt, lots of fresh fruit, milk, soy milk, coffee, tea, various jellies. The room was clean. We also really appreciated Greg's advice when we were planning our time in Steamboat Springs. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed the breakfast and input for planning activities in the area so much that we ended up staying longer than we originally planned. The Strawberry Hot Springs, local hikes, Botanical Garden, and burgers at the Back Door restaurant (name may not be exact? ) were all awesome!

We could not be happier with our stays. Greg is extremely knowledgeable of the area which came in extra handy because we're house hunting. Greg had great insight and very helpful suggestions. On the day we checked out, he let us stay a little longer because our daughter was napping. This was priceless to us! Thankfully it was the off season and our room wasn't immediately needed — this level of care is what brings us back. We've stayed twice and will absolutely stay again.

So friendly and helpful! The most comfortable beds and pillows ever! It's a quaint little place with a great breakfast in the mornings! This is on the top of my list of favorite places to stay!

The staff were so friendly and helpful. I am from Georgia and so I had no clue what to expect. They were great. The rooms were clean, cozy, and affordable. Did I mention they had coffee all day long? Also, there breakfast is more than you can imagine. If I ever go back I will be staying here.

I have been staying here for 6 years on motorcycle trips. It is right in the heart of steamboat with walking access to restaurants and coffee shops. It is family owned and operated and they pour their lives into it. It is 2 star lodging done very well and they have a continental breakfast each morning. I love to drop by the Nordic.

Well deserved high ratings! It was our first visit there and we were greeted by smiling and super helpful owners. 5 stars for the location, rooms and especially the service. We'll be definitely coming back :-)

Amazing staff. The lady who checked us in was super friendly and helpful. When she found out it was our first time in Steamboat, she was quick to offer all sorts of help. The rooms are nice and clean and include air conditioning, a small fridge and microwave. They have breakfast. Very happy with the experience!

This place is very neat and clean and the owners are absolutely awesome. We would recommend this place to anybody, even our parents! Give the owners a call for a great rate better than those so called bargain travel sites! Also the free breakfast is loaded! You will not regret staying here! I plan on coming back year after year! I would recommend this hotel to anyone — from the moment I checked it was clear that the owners really take care of their customers. I had an interview in Steamboat and had to travel with my dog. Izabela (one of the owners who checked me in) was so helpful and kind. The rooms are cozy and breakfast included hardboiled eggs and fresh fruit (not just bagels, pastry and coffee). I will definitely be back!

LOVE this place and will definitely stay again. I wanted to give my boyfriend a great experience up in Steamboat because he'd never been there. Saw the reviews for this place and am so glad I made the choice for us to stay here. I wanted a little something extra to kick off the celebration for my boyfriend's birthday. Called, spoke with Emily, and between her and Greg they helped tremendously in executing the little something extra special. They are so welcoming, so friendly, and you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do and the experience they give. Very cozy place, plenty of room, and you get that extra "mountainy" feel (for lack of a better word). The only reason I give it 4 starts instead of 5 is because the walls are a little thin. In most cases that actually wouldn't have made a huge difference for us but because it is ski town, you can hear it when people are walking around in their gear and getting in and out of their cars. Since we weren't there to ski this time around, it was a little frustrating when we wanted to sleep in. We made the best of it though, still had a great time, and next time we know to either be there to ski or ask for a second floor room if one is available. Overall, I really don't think you'll be disappointed if you stay here. Especially when the staff is so wonderful and works so hard for you.

Cozy, quaint hotel right on the downtown strip. Family-owned and run, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

We were impressed initially with the economic price for a clean, nice, centrally located room in Downtown Steamboat. Secondly, we were very impressed by the extremely friendly and nice service. This is a fantastic place to stay within walking distance of many of Steamboat's attractions. The woman who I assume to be the owner made our stay all the more pleasant and inviting with her warm and helpful attitude. We have stayed here twice thus far and both times the experience was consistently wonderful. We will most certainly be staying here again!

The staff at a Ritz Carlton could learn from the team at the Nordic Lodge. This was our first time in Steamboat — there for a short weekend. First, we received the warmest of welcomes upon check in (BTW — they are VERY pet-friendly). Then the desk staff gave us a quick rundown of all of the things we might like to do in Steamboat along with so many "locals / insider-tips. " Upon check-out, we really felt like part of the family and can't wait to come back for a stay at the Nordic Lodge!

We were on a road trip from S Texas through to NM, CO, OK and back to TX… We had stayed at many places on the way. The Nordic was absolutely one of the best! We actually stayed an extra night. The guy on reception was the nicest most helpful we had experienced that far and indeed the best we had met though out the entire trip… The room are nicely decorated, very clean and very comfortable, the breakfast options were phernominal… Would absolutely recommend! …

I've stayed and had our employees stay here for in the realm of 10+ years now. Very few places keep the level of service and helpfulness that these guys have for anywhere near that kind of time. Truly somewhere I'm happy to recommend to anyone.

This was by far the friendliest place we have stayed! Great service, excellent breakfast, heated pool and hot tub and clean room with good rates. Highly recommend.

We have been staying @ Nordic Lodge for 13 yrs. We come here every yr. For 2-4 weeks to ski. Greg and Isabella are the owners, and they treat us like family. It is clean, modern, reasonably priced and there is a large variety of good food to choose from for breakfast. Yep, we are treated like king and queen. Love this place. If you ever stay here here, you will never go anywhere else. Oh yes, and the FREE bus picks you up right in front of the Nordic to go to the slopes or wherever you want to go. Just an amazing place.

Cannot believe this lodge has only two stars! The rooms are big, have been redone and are very nice, new beds, too :-) Breakfast is not-to-be-believed. Sumptuous and most anything one would want. Staff very friendly, helpful and lodge is situated right in town, so one can walk to dinner anywhere in town. Christina is a gem.

My girlfriend and I have always stayed in Gondola Square, and thats nice, however we really liked the vibe and location of the Nordic Lodge. We will stay here every time we come back to steamboat from now on! Greg the owner has a really nice place and takes great care of it, not to mention it is super convenient to get anywhere you want to go quickly. Lots of food, drink and shops within walking distance as well. Jumping in the hot tub was nice after a long day of riding. We will definitely come back again.

Wonderful experience! We stayed three nights and really enjoyed the Nordic Lodge. The room was large and comfortable, the owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and the location is within walking distance to everything in downtown Steamboat. The hotel has a nice hot tub, too, which was perfect after a long day on the slopes. There's a free bus right across the street that will take you to the mountain. This hotel was affordable and exceeded our expectations.

Very nice. The manager was friendly, up-beat and helpful, even though we came in after 7:00pm. The room was clean and comfortable and they have a choice of soft or firm beds, unlike some places. And the off-season rates are really good.

Great experience at the Nordic Lodge. The owner is a lovely, nice person and the rooms were comfortable. We had a baby and they offered us a sleeper for him, which was super convenient. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

Very glad we stayed at the Nordic Lodge. Perfect downtown location, walking distance to all the downtown restaurants and shops. The rooms are a very reasonably priced, comfy and super clean, nicely appointed, and have a little more character than your average chain hotel. Very helpful, friendly staff; nice outdoor pool and indoor spa; continental breakfast; Wi-Fi and cable. The honeymoon suite is awesome, really helped make our vacation to Steamboat Springs (a very cool town) memorable and comfortable. Definitely would stay there again.
