Located in the heart of Vail village with beautiful views of Gore Creek or Vail mountain. Stunning.

We had a creekside room with a private balcony. They provided a playpen for our baby to sleep in, but we had to get an extra sheet to cover the mattress. We were a bit concerned about the lack of A/C, but it was a non-issue, even for the middle of July. Overall it was a pleasant stay in a perfect location! We'll return.

Very nice, clean and nice smelling. Staff was great. Breakfast was pretty good. The only downside was that the weather was very warm and no a/c in the place. That's not their fault that it was unusually warm, as you can't put in air for the few days/year that it gets warm, and it did cool off nicely at night. There was a ceiling fan if you want to have wind blowing on you. Nice view of the mountain from our room. I'd stay here again.

Great location, very friendly staff, good breakfast (complimentary), access to great restaurants and stores. Our balcony looks over the creek that runs through Vail. Really an incredible experience.

Incredible place! The Sitzmark was everything we were looking for and more. The staff was so helpful and kind. The rooms were large, comfortable and very clean. The village is so unique. And the hotel couldn't be in a better spot with stunning views of the town, mountains, and creek. Not to mention the amazing restaurants and shops all within walking distance. We didn't use our car all week. Can't wait to visit again!

This place is amazing — awesome location and great breakfast — right across the street from a chocolate shop — employees are the best!

Very helpful staff, great location, nice amenities. My only complaints are that the breakfast selection is very slim and that the beds are a little less comfortable than I'd like.

Excellent hotel with an intimate and personal feel. The location in the center of town is perfect for a 5 minute walk to the Gondola and steps to the main shopping and restaurant areas. Solid continental breakfast and complimentary spiced wine and soup in the afternoons were a bonus. Great all-around experience!

A wonderful hotel, the managers are loving. It is very close to several very good restaurants and Gondola One, to go skiing. Super recommend.

It’s ok here. Room & bathrooms are clean. The entrance, halls & stairways need improvement as they’re pretty shabby. Nice breakfast though! Front desk people range from nice to downright strange. Don’t think I’d go back.

My wife and I were very pleased with our suite with fireplace on the main floor. We opened our door to the sound of the creek behind the building. The staff is friendly and very helpful. This place is a great value compared to other lodging options.

It's a cozy hotel — breakfast staff are friendly and it's easy to strike up a conversation with other guests during breakfast and the daily afternoon soup and hot wine in the lobby. Breakfast is great — an assortment of pastries, cereal, and bagels accompanied with waffles, fruits, coffees, and juices is available as self-serve. It's perfect for skiers and snowboarders, too. A ski and snowboard locker is conveniently placed by the entrance/exit and the hotel's a short walk to Gondola One (though it might feel long when encumbered with gear, skis, and boots). Inside the hotel, a small elevator eliminates the pain of taking the stairs in ski or snowboard boots. The rooms are quite cozy. There's plenty of space in the room, closet, and drawers to store gear and clothes. Beds are spacious though my mattress was on the hard side. The pillows are also high and hard, so good news for side sleepers. The TV also has a variety of channels. As far as bathrooms go it's quite average — toilet, tub shower, sink. The shower shampoo and soaps worked well — the shampoo smells like a sweet berry, and the conditioner was minty. The shower was strong and the water heated up quickly. Overall this has been the best hotel I've been to for a while. I'm not going to remember it for the room, or location, or price, but for the conversations I've had in the community lounge whenever I went down for breakfast, soup, or hot cocoa — someone's always downstairs, too. The lounge is designed to be friendly.

Beautiful hotel with an awesome location. The memory foam bed is really comfy and it was great to have a gas fireplace. The breakfast is on par with a Best Western, and would expect better for downtown Vail. The staff was friendly and the hot tub was nice.

We are only one night in, but wow! The staff is amazing! This is a family run business and they have thought of every detail you would ever want or need. We were a little skeptical arriving because the cost was so reasonable. The location is smack dab in the center of everything. The rooms are all equipped with balconies that overlook the creek or mountains (gorgeous views)! The rooms also have a flat screen tv, fridge, coffee maker, wine glasses, beer glasses and real coffee cups! The complimentary breakfast consists of eggs, oatmeal, waffles (with strawberries and whipped cream! ) … and much more! Our bed was extremely comfortable and we had a great workout in their fitness center. Will definitely be returning. Well done! Did I mention the free parking garage and no added resort fee! I would give you 10 stars if I could.

This hotel was wonderful on a number of levels, first the location is fantastic, parking was easy, the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and the room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the bridal suite which had a fireplace and balcony. No parking fee and no resort fee! We stayed here in the off season and the price was very reasonable. My husband and I travel a ton with our jobs and are pretty picky about hotels. We were really thrilled with this hotel and would stay here again in a heart beat!

Such friendly, accommodating staff that made the entire stay such a fun, memorable time! Awesome amenties and a nice lodge right in Vail Village. The cozy room was surprisingly quiet considering it was in front of the staircase and by the pool. The complimentary bike made cruising in Vail even better! Thank you, Sitzmark!

Excellent choice! The staff is wonderful. We watched the eclipse on the pool deck, they had a telescope and glasses for everyone. The location is perfect, the rooms are large with beautiful mountain views from the balcony.

Fantastic place with reasonable prices. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very kind. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the balcony view was stunning. Parking is a little tricky when the lodge is full and the staff cleaning the rooms were a little loud in the morning.

We were coming through Vail and were looking for a place on the river. It's a smallerish lodge, but with large rooms. Our balcony looked down on the river and you could easily hear the rushing river going by. In fact they held kayak, paddleboard and 2-man raft races that we could see form our balcony. I assume our rate was off-season and was quite palatable. The room was clean and large. The hot-tub slightly dated, the pool on an upper outdoor level with a view of the street. A restaurant with bar is on premises, but it wasn't open given the off-season. A nice place and we would stay again. Not sure however about the proximity to skiing, but don't think it's too far.

Love the friendly helpful staff who couldn't do enough for you and we're always happy and smiling. Room was lovely and clean and good size with its own patio. Car parking underneath and walking distance to everything! Great location.

During a snow storm the roads were closed and the property could not be reached. I made attempts for SEVERAL hours to reach them by phone, to only get voice mail. I left several messages and NOT once did they return a call. It was who tried again the next morning, because I wanted to make sure that we were not charged. What I got the next morning was a RUDE employee and manager telling me that the roads opened at 8pm in the pitch dark with snow covered mountain roads and she expected us to drive it. I was SHOCKED to say the least, I am sure being a mountain property this was not the first time they have dealt with road closings during a blizzard. Yet they were completely unprofessional and rude. I would NOT suggest this property until they train their staff.

Twice in a row and so far our experience has been great! The staff is very welcoming and the hotel's location is great — 2-3 minutes easy walk to gondola and steps to some of the best dining in Vail. You can choose a quieter Creek side or a mountain view side (which is honestly also quiet). Hot soup and spiced wine is always there to greet you after a day of skiing.

Nice lodge right in the middle of town. Lots to do right outside the door. Temperpedic beds.

This little boutique hotel is the best-kept secret in Vail. Affordable and quaint with a perfect location on Gore Creek. I've been staying at the Sitzmark for almost 10 years and every time I have loved it.
