Great visitors center that has everything you need. Surrounded by absolutely stunning vistas and hiking trails. To be honest while there you don't really care about the center itself, just the rest of the park, it's a great place to stop off and check out the park from up high. The gift shop is adorable and a great play to grab some souvenirs on your way out.

I'm not sure if this review is for the park or just the visitor center, but the center was nice and clean and the guest desk was helpful in answering questions. The park though, was BEAUTIFUL!

Estes Park is so far my retirement place. Weather is temperate, views are stunning, people seem nice, atmosphere is lax and overall feel is mellow. There's lots to do including, hiking, biking, running, rafting or kayaking and various other outdoor activities. You won't be bored if that's your speed. The visitor center people are friendly, retired folks who have hung their hats here. Of course there is a bit of tourism but there are a lot of locals too. The visitor center is over the top nice with a lot of history and info about the area. There is a little gift shop and neat souvenirs if your into that. It's a great intro to a great town.

The Visitors Center is clean, well organized and well staffed. Restrooms were also very clean. Staff at their help desk were very helpful. They were unable to provide a map for the River Walk showing the various shops and restaurants in the area, but did provide us a listing by type of the shops/businesses in the general area and a map that she used to highlight where the River Walk area is in Estes Park area. She also gave us a list of restaurants in the area and a magazine that showed sample menus for most of the restaurants listed. We will definitely come back for another visit soon.

Delightful folks at the visitor center would give you all the information you need about how to plan your trip to the national park. Free shuttles run to all the major trail heads from here. Computer kiosks, restrooms, informational pamphlets, couches to relax. This place has everything.

It is a touristy destination but I liked the park as it is the gateway to the rocky mountains, very scenic.

This place is really wonderful to get information about Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. It also is the starting point for a great four-mile loop around Lake Estes. The trail is paved and perfect for exercising.

One of my favorite places to visit in Colorado. We love sitting next to the river and enjoying the peaceful sounds of the river. Great hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park too. Kind Coffee is a must and I love all of the shops.

Nice, clean visitor center with tons of information. The people there were very friendly and had a lot of information. Lots of parking as well.

Enjoyed my time talking to the volunteers. They were very patient with my requests and concerns. Walked me through many options in and out of the park. I had my wife and elementary aged son with me and they enjoyed looking around the center while I waited in line. Once we were assisted the volunteer showed me multiple maps and highlighted many points of interest and gave me charts with names of tons of restaurants. Next time I'm in town we will stop there again to get assistance. Great people!

Lots of information about local sight seeing opportunities. Clean restrooms. Adequate parking.

This is a beautiful visitor's center with a nice outdoor area. They sell postcards and a variety of other souvinirs and books. Their bathrooms are very nice!

The Estes Park visitor center was very accommodating they had a lovely area to overlook the rockies and restrooms. We enjoyed the museum and the Views were spectacular.

The ladies were so helpful told us about trails different place to see the prettiest views and facts. It's a great stop before you go exploring.

If you wait for the Bear Lake shuttle bus inside the visitors center while the driver uses the restroom, he comes out, gets in the bus, and drives off. Leaves the passengers waiting inside the door standing there. What a poor experience. Half an hour later, the lady driver was so friendly and helpful.

Stopped here on recommendation from Colorado welcome center. It was worth the trip. Beautiful drive. Visited in October, very windy but sun was warm. We stopped to tour the "Stanley Hotel" of movie fame, you stop to find out which movie. We did not explore the shops but there were lots to choose from.

Lovely ladies provide great info, good maps, and good restrooms. There's another visitor center in the park but we stopped here and we're satisfied.

Staff was very helpful. One staffer was leaving and walked with us as he continued to explain what things there were to do.

Great place to start your Estes Park or Rocky Mountain vacation. The staff are very helpful and had a lot of information. Bathroom are clean. Parking is good. Big rig parking is located on the north side. Great place to stretch out and walk the dogs too.

This place is amazing! Great experience even for the kids as some amazing views and experiences are within walking distance. They will enjoy every minute. I recommend to park in town and take a shuttle to desired location, it can get very busy and this will save you some headaches.

Everyone is very helpful and nice. I think our ambassador's name was Penny. What a lovely lady! She even showed us pictures on her phone of what we should expect to see on one trail or another!

It's a great visitor center. Quite large, beautiful building, great view… definitely stop here first on the way into town, even if briefly. It's right off the highway and lets you back out on the highway, so it's really no detour, and a no-brainer.

If you have never been to Estes Park, go here first! They have all kinds of brochures and ideas for fun stuff to do (for people of all ages and interests). The staff is really nice and happy to help. They also have computers set up so you can just click on things that might interest you and go from there. The visitor's center is on the riverwalk, so we just took off from there and walked around downtown for hours and hours and we found tons of things to keep us busy for the duration of our visit to Estes Park. We have fallen in love with the small town and plan on visiting again! The town is small enough you can walk to just about everywhere.

It was a little expensive, but supply and demand was the reason for that. The rooms were nice but took awhile to cool down with the tiny AC unit. Could've used plug ins near the bed. Parking lot was a bit hilly but we were in the mountains.

View prolly not the best among the hotels there but we had such a great time. Service was superb and hotel was clean. Johnny helped us with big smile and great attitude. We forgot a stuff toy when we left they had kept it for us to get after. Would recommend this hotel.

Great place to crash while visiting. Comfy beds, friendly staff, decent view. Wifi is super slow, though.

Average. The breakfast was poor. The shower was way too low with low water pressure. If you're over 6 foot tall, be careful walking around so you don't hit your head. The bed was comfortable. People were friendly. I liked that you could borrow from their extensive DVD collection.

Hotel was great for the price, bed was comfy and rooms were clean. Breakfast was pretty basic, packaged pastries and waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, but those waffles tasted way better than made sense so I was happy. They also had games and DVDs you could borrow in the main office. Only issue was that when people in other rooms were taking showers the pipes made a good deal of noise in the walls. It wasn't really an issue other than when we tried to sleep in.

Nice location close to Rocky Mountains. The Wi-Fi isn't that good. Barely any water pressure in the shower. They offer a light continental breakfast, so it's basically just cereal and oatmeal and some toast. The rooms are clean, and for the price, it's a good place to stay.

Service was good, the room was nice, price was reasonable. Solid choice for tourists or vacationers.

The floors and walls are paper thin. Could hear footsteps from upper rooms. It was so loud. TV is really small and had no pay per view. It's ok for a one night stay. I think it was the people who were running the place that was making the noise.

A Diamond in the rough! My friend and I decided to visit Estes Park super last minute. After driving all night, we were so tired and chose Hotel Estes on the fly. We called and asked if we could check in early, and they were able to get a room for us by 12:30pm after having a full house the night before. They totally Blessed us! The rooms are very nice, updated and very clean. The beds are off the chain! So comfortable and cozy! We decided to stay an extra night and the staff was able to accommodate us at the same rate we booked the night before. All day snacks is a pleasant perk! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking.

I loved the rooms and pool and spa and breakfast. My son liked the chocolate donuts and bagels for food and good rooms.

Clean & well taken care of.

Clean, comfortable hotel. Rooms are nicely decorated, updated furnishings, linens, etc. 2nd floor rooms have nice views of the mountains. Breakfast is included, better than most in this price range. Front desk staff are polite, helpful. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, will stay there again.

Great hotel! Clean and neatly decorated. Cost a little more then some but its got a nice pool and hot tube. Great choice.

Hotel Estes was a pretty nice hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed there 2 nights. We had looked at a few different hotels in Estes. Some priced higher and some lower. But this one had a lot of good reviews. And we were not let down. Room was very nice and cozy. I liked all the natural light that came into the room. The room was clean. Bathroom was a little on the small side but otherwise a nice room. Breakfast was also nice. Wish they had more places to sit though while eating breakfast. All they had were chairs and a small coffee table. So everyone was hovering over the coffee table trying to eat their breakfast. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and knowledgeable about the town. And they even offered a map of the town which had places to eat and different shops. Which was very helpful to have during our stay. We would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.
