Amazing weekend here! Everything was perfect from the friendly staff at check in, the kitchenette full of everything you could need, and the romantic in room jacuzzi bath. We plan to spend every Valentines weekend here for the years to come thank you and we highly recommend.

Loved the room-nice getaway for a good price. Only draw back was getting woke up at 5:30 am from the room above us-from kids running/stomping in circles for hours! Ended up checking out at 8 am due to the inconvenience. Lesson learned don’t get the lower level rooms if your trying to have a quiet little getaway…

Such a wonderful experience! The Inn was quaint, quiet and extremely clean! The s’mores by the fire pit, fresh popcorn and snacks were such a treat! The continental breakfast was more than enough! The staff was gracious and helpful with directions and recommendations. My husband and I already decided this place will be our new tradition.

My wife and I stopped by for a quick last minute nights stay and were very glad we did. We stayed in room 12 which is king bed, and in room jetted tub. The room is comfy with a couch and a fireplace. The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean. When checking in they let us know they were just wrapping up their fire, but we were welcome to grab a stick and some s'mores fixings to catch it before it went out. The continental breakfast is like most, but well stocked. I am sure we will be visiting again!

Stayed 2 nights. Nice clean rooms. Big pool, nice hot tub. Firepit was cozy and they give you s'more fixings. Friendly helpful staff. Water was hot. Beds comfy. Would stay again.

Appenzell inn is amazing! Very friendly staff and clean rooms. When we arrived they had somehow lost our reservation. It wasn’t much of a problem and only took about 10 minutes for them to sort out. Because of the minor inconvenience they upgraded our second night to a huge chalet that was fit for a king. We highly recommend Appenzell inn to anyone coming to Estes Park!

Great atmosphere, firepit provided every evening with s'mores. Clean rooms and excellent services. Good continental breakfast. Close to town yet feel like your in a remote location. Many rooms with great mountain views. I'v stayed here at least 5 times and will continue to in the future.

This place is completely amazing! they are family friendly yet also perfect for a romantic getaway! they have fire pits and complimentary s'mores and really good coffee.

Such a great spot the little extra touches is making our mini vacation perfect. Thank you.

It was an awesome one night stay. Jordan at the check in helped with all the information about best restaurants around. He also told us about where at what locations sight the animals and what are crowded areas as it was labour day. He was right about everything. It would be my preferred hotel for the stay next time. I was so excited about sighting a bear near this place in the middle of the night.

Great spot to stay for estes park area and super close to entrance of rocky mountain national park. Jordan was very helpful as far as spots to go around town and he was very knowledgeable about the national park as well. The room itself was everything I expected and more. I really liked the spa in the room… very romantic spot. I'd highly recommend for a nice getaway.!

We booked one night here for a weekend get away, and it was awesome! Well exceeded out expectations. So much than went we went to turn our keys in, we ended up booking a different room for another night. The grounds are amazing, the staff was beyond helpful, great location. We will definitely stay here again!

This is the 2nd year we have stayed at the Appenzell Inn and we were, again, extremely happy with our stay. We stay in the chalet and there is enough room for us and our 5 kids to stay comfortably. The pool is close and easily accessible. We appreciate the kitchen and utensils as we are able to get items at the grocery store to prepare at the hotel and save on eating out each meal. The location is perfect and it's easy to get to any attraction in Estes. This is our family's favorite place to stay!

We had a Superb suite with fridge and kitchenette, and little extras like popcorn in evening and coffee and tea at any time were great. The free continental breakfast is not great but adequate. Pool is in a separate building and was very nice — — not too much chlorine and no sign of algae. Only two minor drawbacks: lobby entrance is in the back and not very inviting, and the hot tub was not so clean looking. But these are not big concerns. We'll definitely stay here next time we're in RMNP.

Loved staying here. Friendly staff, nice common areas, fire pit with s’mores! Games and pop corn machine and movie rentals at front desk area. Nice clean rooms. Close to plenty of things to do. Staff was very knowledgeable about hikes in the area and the best roads to take!

Cute rooms and nice kitchen, but with a few quirks. The bathroom in our unit was located at the very opposite end of the bedrooms. Not a big deal, just different. The light switches were not near the lights they controlled, so we kind of had to play around with them for a bit. The beds were extremely hard, but we slept pretty well, despite that.

5 stars for the people, service, & cleanliness. Very cute hotel with nice balconies for sitting outside. The room was small, but comfy. Standard continental breakfast, s'mores and popcorn in the evening. The beds could have been more comfortable. My kid loved the bath and body works toiletries.

We loved spending our 25th wedding anniversary here! The room was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the overall quiet peaceful atmosphere made us feel right at home. The view from our room was amazing and the location made it easy to get to Rocky Mountain National park, the grocery store, and plenty of dining options. It was hard to believe we were so close to so many things, yet were able to feel like we could relax and decompress while back at our room. We will be back for sure!

Great place to stay. The room was very clean and cozy. The staff was helpful with recommendations on restaurants and activities. My wife thought the bed was a little hard but I enjoyed it. There is a hot tub and indoor pool. I really liked the outdoor sitting area… plenty of grills and fire pits (they provide firewood). My wife also liked that they had Bath and Body Works soap, shampoo, and lotion.

If I could give a 10 star rating I would! Everything about our weekend getaway at this hotel was amazing. From the awesome staff to the beautiful rooms to the homey amenities provided. I caught myself saying "when we get home" rather than "when we get back to the hotel" when we went into town down the street. We go on annual trips and this will be our new spot. The Sweetheart suite was perfect (although I wish we were able to blackout all windows but in no way ruined the experience. ) Truly amazing memories were made here.

This place is amazing! The staff and service was on point, the rooms were clean and well furnished, and the location was great. We arrived Sunday night and the gentleman at the front desk, Jayden, was extremely helpful at answering all our questions. He also did a great job clearing the pathways and steps during and after the snowfall that evening and following morning. Stellar staff member! Breakfast was perfect and was included with the reservation. Cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, juices, and more. They also have a shelf full of books, dvds, and board games good for all ages! This was great to utilize in the evenings for the kiddos. The indoor pool and outside hot tub were amazing, especially during the snowfall. This place will definitely be THE place our family stays when we visit Estes Park!

Come here every yr on the same dates. Every room is really really lovely. And very relaxing.

AMAZING! Highly recommend (as long as the other hotel next to it does not have a car alarm constantly going off all night) breathtaking views and a beautiful room set up. Very romantic as well as kid friendly! I lOVE this place and would recommend to everyone! I will definitely be returning :)

Incredible for a weekend getaway. We did a ladies weekend here with about 6 girls and it was like being in a different world. They have a hot tub, Fire pits, Barbecues. They have a designated outdoor smoking areas. The welcome center is stocked with snack, drinks, movies, games. The room We stayed in, our should I say condo* we stayed in, was incredible. Views of the mountains and the elk crossing. A full kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 bedrooms, one with a Jacuzzi tub. 2 full size futons. Almost a full wrap around patio. So wonderful. We are already planning our next trip to go back!

This quaint little inn is the most welcoming place I've stayed in a while! They were nice enough to make special accomodations for us when our arrival time was past lobby hours. Decent breakfast choices, popcorn machine, kiddo snacks, and free movie library available in the lobby too! Our family had a spectacular time here and will look here first every time for travel to Estes! Rates were also very fair for the location and accomodations.

We love this place! We stayed here several years ago and decided to go back and take some family along. We stayed in a two bedroom chalet and couldn't have been much happier with it. Lots of space in the bedrooms and a warm and cozy kitchenette and living room with a fireplace and a great view. The staff here is great and everything is clean. You can't go wrong at the Appenzell Inn!

Great service from the minute we checked in! We felt at home and welcomed. They offered snacks, drinks, fresh popped popcorn, s’mores, and free movies/games you can rent in the lobby! Great for couples, perfect for families!

Totally impressed. I'm a moderate spender and this place had it all for me. I had to adapt to the kitchen wear but the fact they had everything I needed to cook up some grub was great. I recommend this place for the moderate spender. Very welcoming and devoted staff. Will definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay here. Excellent. Very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommended this place. My only suggestion would be black out curtains on the bedroom windows.

Was scared at first because I was a last minute booking and all the had left was one of the smallest rooms. But. To my surprise the room came with a huge. Bed and whirlpool all in a cozy room. It was a great experience at the hotel.

Perfect spot to enjoy a few days. Clean, comfy & very courteous staff. Will stay here when we come back!

3 — 4 stars. Not a bad place, but certain things bring it down For instance, the breakfast, if you want to call it that. One type of coffee (no decaf), no half and half, just dairy creamers and those god-awful French vanilla things. Ice-cold hard-boiled eggs that you could not peel, packaged buns, sweets, etc. OK, they had cereal and a gallon of milk to pour from. We left the first morning and went and got a proper breakfast, in fact most people did. We didn't even bother the next day, went right to a bakery by McDonalds. Also, the morning desk guy should learn to smile and engage his customers. He was dour, unhappy looking, never said a word (like Hello or Good Morning). Awful. Seems like he didn't want to be there and spent most of his time on the computer. The afternoon guy was excellent though, fortunately he greets folks who are checking in so they get a nice welcome. Finally, the upper room we had faced west, and although they had shades on the lower windows, the upper windows did not, and the afternoon sun made the living area very, very warm. Put some shades up.

LOVE this place! My husband and I stayed a few nights over labor day weekend for our anniversary. We had the cutest little suite — king size bed, heart shaped jacuzzi, kitchenette with full size fridge, large bathroom, private balcony and a TV in every room lol the bed was very firm and comfortable, the place was very clean, the A. C. Worked like a dream. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back :)

It's a cute place. Clean rooms and great service from friendly staff. Will come here again when we stay in town. Lovely fireplace, tub, and all around great place so far.

I won't stay anywhere else in Estes. This hotel is the best. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. They start a campfire on request every night and have frre smores! They have a great fee breakfast each moring too! The indoor pool and hot tub are awesome, the views are amazing. I recommend staying in their suites!

We love the Appenzell Inn. We always get a large suite complete with bedroom, bath, separate living room, and kitchenette which is stocked with all you need to fix and easy meals. The full-sized refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker are very nice. We have a couch that is amazingly comfortable that can make into another bed, an upholstered chair, coffee table, gas fireplace that fires up at the flip of a switch, and a heart-shaped jacuzzi tub! We even have a private deck on our third floor room with a nice view of the mountains. You get free water and protein bars for hiking and they do have a limited breakfast such as cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, breakfast burritos, juices, etc. I forgot to mention the small, but nice breakfast nook. TV, free DVDs to watch, friendly service, kind and competent cleaning service, what more could you want!? We always stay here when in Estes Park Colorado.

It's a beautiful peaceful place. You can totally relax and the view of the mountains is gorgeous! Has fireplace, kitchen, BBQ grill, pool, hot tub, and a cute pub. Also you can make s'mores!

Size of the room was the big thing. We must have had a special room since I can't believe that all the rooms are that big. Maybe they are. Ours came with a kitchen and a hot tub. Lots of outlets for your accessories. Nice table and fixtures. The continental breakfast is modest but filling. A plus is the restaurant on the property which has a friendly staff and good food.

We got one of the larger rooms with a heart-shaped jacuzzi tub. It has everything, almost: a full sized refrigerator, huge vaulted room, microwave, TV, huge bathroom with a shower, couch, table, kitchenette, glasses, plates, et cetera. It has a few problems:. Wireless internet was hit and miss, no soap dish in the shower (or a place for shampoo or anything), the drain was loose, and the air conditioner couldn't keep up and get the whole space cool. We're staying four days… We'll see if they fix these issues and earn another star. However, even so, we'd stay here again… the place is fantastic! Free snacks and water all day and an okay breakfast rounded out the experience.

It's best to go during the off-season. Went in March for my honeymoon, and it was perfect! Beautiful view, large room, and excellent price!

We had one of the loft suites which included a kitchenette, fireplace VC and balcony. Unfortunately it was on a major roadway and the road noise detracted from the pleasant room. The staff was exceptionally helpful, breakfast was plentiful and the pool/hot tub lovely. We will definitely visit again…

Loved this place! My room was huge (king bed, kitchen area, living area, and huge bathroom). I really liked that the kitchen had a full sized fridge and freezer. It also came wth a microwave and cooking equipment, including a hot plate and electric skillet. The bathroom had a great jacuzzi too. They had a decent breakfast selection every morning as well. On top of that they had movies you could check out and you could connect to YouTube or Netflix from your TV. Would definitely come again, in fact, planning my next trip there now!

Room is bigger than my first Sidney with a very nice jacuzzi tub. Bed is huge. Nice proof available like DVDs and popcorn and the continental has decent options. No real views to speak of in our room but the patio was nice anyway.

The views are spectacular and the hotel is far enough away from town that it's cozy and quiet without being so far that you feel isolated. Safeway's right down the street. The room was clean and cozy with tons of room. We got one with a heat tub and it was spectacular watching TV and relaxing :) thanks guys!

I have to say that this place is pretty awesome. The setting is cute with awesome views of the mountains. I was stunned by how well stocked the little kitchen was for cooking; plates, glasses, wine glasses, pots, pans, griddle, little stove, toaster, food processor, microwave, spatulas, tongs and can opener, plus a grill outside on the deck! The bed was comfortable, as was the couch. Since the TV was accessible and not locked down, we were able to plug my laptop in via HDMI and have a nice movie night from the couch. I would Totally recommend the Appenzell Inn to anybody who wants a nice, comfortable get away. Very homey. My only complaints: -It want advertised very well that the restaurant at the Inn was closed the entire week, so we were a little sad about that. -The in-room tub faucet dripped all night. I tuned it out eventually, but it was annoying at first. -I wish the online reservation system would send email confirmation so I don't have to keep track of a print out and so Google Now would track the reservation on a card. We obviously picked the wrong time to come (April) as most everything in Estes was closed while we were here. That was on us. I could easily see coming back and changing my review to 4 Stars without dripping faucets and once I can experience the little Pub.

Clean room, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast spread considering it's off season. Stayed in the Grindel room, and was generally pleased. My only complaint is that the in-room jetted tub dripped all night long, causing some annoying splattering noises. The kitchenette, however, has a great selection of glasses, plates, little appliances for cooking, a fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher. There is a BBQ outside if you prefer. No complaints about cleaning staff, they refreshed everything for us and did a nice job. We were disappointed that the pub was not open for our stay in April. Would stay at Appenzell again, and hope for less faucet dripping.

This place is super cute. We visited post-renovation in March 2015, mud-season and stayed in the Suite-Heart Loft Studio — which was totally awesome, and had terrific mountain views and lots of daylight. The atmosphere was very reminiscent of the traditional hotel/chalets we enjoyed in Switzerland! It was about a 10-15 minute walk to town or 2-minute drive. The restaurant was closed for mud-season, so we'll be back in the summer to try it out!

NEVER through your money away by staying here! Only good point was it was very clean. Beds old, BBQ nailed down so can't get it under roof and only 2 anyway. Pool is cold like most. Shower floor is metal grates. Like we stated. Clean absolutely nothing else but most$$$$ in town.

We loved the Appenzell. From morning coffee on the verandah with beautiful views of the Rockies, to our own private jacuzzi, everything about this inn was perfect. It is located minutes from downtown, a few miles outside the National Park, and just at the base of the Stanley Hotel.

Comfortable, Clean and Cozy Property and Room. The service was friendly and accommodating. We walked in without a reservation and stayed during the Summer in a Basic Queen room on the weekend and paid $105 after taxes which for Estes Park isn't too bad, but there are less expensive options and a lot of competition. Our stay was pleasant and I would stay here again if I couldn't find something that was a similar quality level but less expensive. If you need internet or Wi-Fi Access do not stay at the back of the property as the signal was virtually nonexistent and they didn't have a hardline internet plug.

Great environment! Loved taking my wife here for our 13 year anniversary! Would love to go here again someday. Great views from the large windows. Very nice rooms, clean. Highly recommend.

Rooms were amazingly clean and very beautifully designed! Felt like luxury for a great price! Worked great for a family of 4 (2 small children). Very cozy, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Did have a few small problems with TV and lack of hot water due to the fact that every room has a jacuzzi tub. But owners where very understanding and eager to please. Loved the convenience of the kitchen and all utensils included, plus dishwasher helped to keep baby bottles clean! Will definitely stay again.
