Awesome spot to stay. Very spacious 2 bedroom and kitchen little cabin for me and my girlfriend to stay in for a couple nights. Bathrooms are a little bit small, but it was no big deal for me. I enjoyed my stay here.

We stayed here for two nights while hiking at Rocky Mountain National Park. We really enjoyed our stay here, and we even joke that we wish we could live here because it's better than our apartment. We rented part of the grand lodge, which included two bedrooms, two baths, and a full size kitchen, all for a very reasonable price. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the location is super convenient — only two miles to RMNP, and close to all restaurants and shops. The only thing I would say is they have shutters over the windows, and there should be curtains over the shutters as well. The first night I didn't sleep so well because it was too light in my room after sunrise. The second night I slept much better after hanging a blanket over the shutters. Overall it's still a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it.

We staid here for a week and couldn't be happier. Rooms were very nice we stayed in the single rooms. Nice bed fireplace not that we used it in June. Good showers air was cold. Beautiful views from our front door. Staff was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Short drive into town and only two miles from Rocky mountain park.

Had an nice experience staying in Amberwood. Enjoyed a spacious (6 adult can sleep comfortably), well decorated, well maintained and well equipped 2 bedroom vacation house at a reasonable price. On top of that, the people are very helpful and friendly. The owner herself came to fix a minor issue just after a phone call.

The cabin that I rented (2 bedroom, 1 bath) was nice. Amberwood is in a great location, especially with the river across the street. There's been plenty of wildlife throughout my stay here. The only negative I have with my visit is that while there's technically Wi-Fi, it is spotty, weak, and inconsistent. Sometimes during the day, it's non-existent. Even when it's there, a majority of the time it struggles. Hopefully this can be improved.

Kelly was very helpful at check-in. The lodge was very clean and spacious. I was able to cook meals there for all seven of us with no trouble at all — the full kitchen made sure of that! They provide plenty of firewood for the fireplace — don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it. They'll pick up trash for you if you set it out before 10am. They'll also swap out towels for you upon request. Multiple thermostats in our 4-bedroom lodge kept us plenty warm at night. Box fans are available in the closet for those of you who simply need them for noise-even in winter! Located in a wooded area on the side of Castle Mountain only 2.5 miles from the Fall River Entrance to RMNP. On US 34 which makes it easy to get to almost anywhere in Estes Park and is easy to find.

They gave me a dirty room and witnessed them not change the linens, smoke detector hanging off wall, gaps in the wall to the outside near the air condition. So many better places to stay than this one!

Spent Christmas here with my husband, sister and her husband. It was a wonderful time. The folks were real nice.

I had a great time here for in November after staying for several days. I don't write many reviews, but every once in a while a place really deserves it! The setting is great, the cabin was very clean, and the owners are very friendly. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Clean and comfortable. Would recommend it. Only drawback is we had a hard time controlling temp. It was either cold or hot. That could have been us using this chimney incorrectly.

Great place. Nice way to spend a weekend. Just what you need but not much more. No soap, shampoo, coffee, foofoo stuff, or whatever. So bring everything you need. Clean, comfortable, and pretty basic. I would recommend it.

My wife and I stayed at the Amberwood on August 10th. We come back to the Amberwood frequently when we visit RMNP. This time we stayed in the beautiful "Honeymoon Haven" cottage. I must say, the management continues to make improvements and upgrades and we were very happy with the accommodations. The room was very clean and the decorations were just the right amount of "Rocky Mountain". Room has a fireplace and great view from the front porch. The porch has a nice little table for sitting and listening to Fall River. The staff is very professional and courteous. We enjoyed our stay, and will definitely come back again.

We stayed in a Cottage for 4 nights and we loved it. The cottages are perfectly equipped with everything you need. The RMNP is just a 5 minutes drive away. Staff is very nice and friendly.

This was the perfect honeymoon place! We went in June, got a smaller cabin, and fell in love! It was very clean, peaceful, cozy place, and we will happily go again. We spent four nights there, woke up early every morning to see wildlife running around, and stayed up late at night to see the stars. It was well worth the money we spent. Make sure you keep an eye out for the cabin kitty! Very friendly cat that runs around the property. Only thing we didn't care for was having to go to Safeway for groceries. It was so expensive, they are the only supermarket out there and they take advantage of it. So close to so many local food places, go to the Red Rose and get the Elk burgers, they were great! Be prepared to shop, so close to so many local shops. Definitely a tourist area!

We loved our stay here! It was simple and rustic (which worked great since why would you stay inside when your in Estes Park?! ). The owner's daughter-in-law was so sweet and helpful. It really was like staying with family. Firewood delivered daily.

Very cozy! Extremely close to the park and shops in Estes Park.

Incredibly easy to find. Great view from the front porch of our cabin. Our two bedroom cabin was the perfect size and had everything you could need. A new bundle of firewood is left on the porch every morning of your stay allowing for a nice fire every night in the fire place. Best part of the whole stay was the Amberwood mascot, a cat named Tigress! She was a little timid at first but once we started petting her all we can too do was whistle for her and she would come running for more love! 10/10 would stay again!

I arrived after check-in hours, and they left me a nice note explaining where I could find the key. I loved the fireplace and the porch view, and I appreciated that they left me a bundle of firewood with matches and newspaper. The only thing they could improve would be the comforter and matching chairs, which looked really old and worn. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at the Amberwood.

A unique lodging experience in Estes Park, Colorado! The staff was nice and let us check in an hour early and although the power went off in the early morning, the in-room hot tub made up for everything! We felt like we were living in the woods!

Great prices and atmosphere! On site staff was wonderful and cabin exceeded all expectations!

Friendly staff. Clean, warm inside in winter. Have everything you need for perfect vacation. Good location.
