The gentleman at the front desk was kind, considerate, and very helpful to me. The room I received was very comfy. It's not the Hilton, but for the location it was just what I needed. I stayed here last year on my way through as well. I would record this place as safe, and reliable to all. Please tell them Lynn sent you.

Clean room friendly staff and awesome price!

This is a nice and clean place to stay, I had no issues with anything, and with me that's surprising!, Although the pool wasn't open due to maintenance, the owner's Grace and Song Oh, were very kind and considerate. If you just need to get away, or spend a nite, it's good for the price, and it's clean… Pets welcome… the nicest people in town…

This place may have been nice 40 years ago but it is a dump today.

I was asking for a weekly rental, and was turn d down. They said they don't rent to locals. I was from out of state, looking for a room to rent for the week/ month until I found a landlord to rent from.

Pretty much what I expected for some never-renovated budget accommodation. I add a star above average, however, because the pillows were nice and flat (much more ergonomic than puffy pillows) and the towels were soft and reasonably-sized. They also put 4 towels in the 4-person room, which may seem obvious but there are many 4-star hotels I've been to that can't seem to get this basic point.

Do not stay here! The rooms are not clean. There is pee stains on the rug.

Tried 3 rooms and just no good. This place failed on so many levels. AC did not work very well, shower curtain moldy, carpet stained badly, wood rotted, sink clogged up, dirty shower and the list goes on. This should be listed at 1 star motel.

The worst experience of my life! We had reservations with the exact time of our arrival, made it early, and noone ever showed for check in. Had to sleep outside. No excuse for such imcompetence.

If u don't like bugs, don't go here. I don't let my 1 year old walk inside the rooms because every time I go here there's always a dead bug on the floor and then in the other corner another one running around.

Great experience. Great value for the price! The gentleman who I presume owns the place (Asian gentleman) was very nice and helpful. I was $10 short and he still let me get a room because I was in dire need of rest before a long ride home. The room quality and bed quality was great. The shower was also very nice. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will be staying again.

The person I talked to, a Teresa, was extremely rude. Gave me a bad taste for the place. I cancelled reservations way in advance, but still needed s few of the nights. She got extremely rude and frankly I wanted to cancel the three nights I was keeping. But really, I would like to possibly meet her in person, and see if she is as rude face to face?

Dirty but clean. Expected forsmall town such as this.

-The bed I slept on had a Memory Foam Topper which absolutely stunned me (in a good way). -Very clean and great price for what you get considering Rocky Ford is pretty far away from big metropolitan areas. -Free Wi-Fi is a bonus considering most hotels nowadays charge for even basic use. -The adjacent, connected restaurant definitely has the best food in town with daily specials that keep food fresh. -POOLHOUSE had a rooftop deck with a grill and lounge area. I came during the winter so it was closed, but definitely stopping by if I ever pass through this way again.

I had read several reviews of motels in the Rocky Ford area. One said that the train whistles were only heard on the first night of a week's stay and another indicated the there were only 2 trains: one at midnight and one at 5:30am. Okay, I thought, we can handle this. NOT! The trains come through blowing their whistles, every half hour from midnight until 5:30am! Between the 2 of us, my husband and I heard every train whistle, managing at most, 3 hours of sleep! Be aware that every motel in this area of Colorado is within a block or two of the tracks. The motel was very clean with large rooms that included a refrigerator and big screen cable TV with plenty of channels. I just wish there was a list of the available networks and the corresponding numbers. The heat worked well but when the baseboard heaters cooled off, they made a click, click, click sound, like a drippy faucet. This didn't help our sleep, either. The absolute best part was the complimentary breakfast. It was just fanatstic! Order anything off a special menu that included everything from oatmeal to French toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns coffee, tea or hot water! What a great way to start a day after so little sleep! I would stay here again, if necesary, but not without ear plugs.

I stayed at the High Chaparral Inn for a week in early June. The bed was probably the most comfortable I have slept in at ANY hotel — and I am a person who normally has trouble sleeping in strange beds. Not here. Other than getting used to the train coming through (after the first night, I barely heard it), I slept like a baby. The room was huge for a motel of this type, and clean as a whistle. The towels were not the usual sandpaper I have often seen in such places, and everything in the room — lights, microwave, shower fan, etc. — was in good working order. Most importantly, the staff were just about the friendliest people you could ever meet. I will definitely stay here again.
