We received the thank you email for our stay and I wanted to take the opportunity to contact you. We stayed for one night. I have to tell you how impressed we were with one of your employees, Sam. Sam greeted us at the front desk. At the time, there was a party ahead of me and one behind. She was one of the most professional, kind, and helpful people I have met. I’m in the service industry. I’m the GM of a very busy corporate restaurant in Colorado Springs. I see a lot of bad and good—and I know that more often than not—the good we do goes unnoticed. Further details during our visit include the extreme efficiency and calm demeanor that Sam handled a pretty big rush. As she moved on to help me after so kindly answering all of the exhausted couple’s questions in front of me. She asked me for just a moment in which she answered the phones. There were THREE calls coming in at once and she calmly asked them to hold. Throughout the process of checking me in, she went through the steps of our reservation, and answered each call during a free few seconds. The people behind me became restless (small children), and Sam began to address their needs while calming the children. I consider myself a very efficient, professional multi-tasked, and I have NOTHING on Sam. She never once made any of us (on the phone or at the desk) feel rushed or unwelcome. About 30 minutes after arriving, my boyfriend and I decided to hit the hot spring (about 830/840pm). We stopped for a moment to confirm we could walk across due to the construction out front. Sam reassured us, gave specific directions, suggested we stall until 9pm bc it is cheaper, and then offered us towels so we didn’t have to rent any. She even presented the towels in a canvas bag and added a couple bottles of water “to stay hydrated. ” wow. Even my boyfriend commented on how impressively she did her job. We will be back… because of Sam. The whole hotel was great, but there are so many other options out there, loyalty to one establishment is rare. You have a keeper, for sure. If she was in the Springs I would have tried to recruit her for whatever position she wanted. Please pass this along to Sam with a thank you. She should be very proud of the job that she does.
