On our first visit to Canon City, CO we didn't really know what to expect about the area. I used Hotwire to book this hotel and was able to get a fabulous rate! After being on the road ALL day, driving from Missouri, this hotel was a VERY welcome sight. The location was perfect for us; minutes away from restaurants and The Royal Gorge, and a central location for day trips to Florence (antiques! ) and Cripple Creek! The rooms are modest, but VERY clean! The hotel staff was so welcoming! And one evening, we used the hot tubs and pool to rest after a day of hiking. Perfect! Plus, on the first floor, they have a "hall of fame" of famous celebrities (John Wayne, Sam Elliot to name a few) that stayed at the SAME hotel! So neat! WE will most certainly book this hotel again, if we are in Canon City on our next trip!

On the whole, I was not expecting an awesome room and my expectations were met. The room was clean but some paint was coming off, the shower head was really low, and the room smelled a little funny. But it was dog-friendly and only charged an extra $10/night for my dog to stay. The staff was friendly at check in but they did not have it marked that I had a dog with me even though I had made the reservation over the phone. I was nervous, but we were accommodated anyways. There was no ice in the one working ice machine. Breakfast was acceptable; bagels, cereal, waffles, etc. But not excellent. As this was the most well-rated hotel in Canon City that allowed dogs, I had hoped it would be a little nicer, but it served the purpose of a place to sleep and shower.

Front desk and house keepers were a little pushy but other than that our stay was fairly uneventful. Close to Wal-Mart and 24h gas station. Breakfast lady was so nice and kept all the food warm very efficiently. She also kept all food well stocked and it was fresh. Hard to find fresh breakfast at a hotel anywhere!

Convenient location for Royal Gorge Park. Rooms appear a little older, but still have the modern conveniences of wireless internet and large TV channel selection. There is a nice indoor hot tub area with a nice outdoor pool to match. Also offers a free continental breakfast.

Looks like the place has been remodeled and eventhou it is an older hotel the rooms are clean and properly maintained. There is actually a small restaurant operating in the hotel and the fiod was very nice. Prices were appropiate economy priced. Front desk ladies Service was very friendly and responsive. There is a nice clean pool in the back court yard. Nice place.

Nice motel, complete with all the facilities, spacious and cozy rooms, even if dated, the bathroom is spacious and the room clean. The breakfast in the morning is complete and plentiful, and the prices out of season (I was there in October. ) really great. It is located right on the main road coming from Colorado Springs, just before the center, and next door there are distributor, Steackhouse, Sandwich shop and McDonald's… I would go again.

Could be a little cheaper nice front desk personal met the maintenance man very sweet, bar tender could use a refresher training in hospitality, but beds are extremely comfortable linen is clean comforters are warm, and if you're like me you like to sleep cool and air conditioners work wonders they did let me have a late check out, which was very nice in my case could give a bigger discount for vets or AARP but this is my second stay at this one and not as nice as the Hilton but it's 80% better than other hotels I've stayed at, a lot of older stars who stayed here well they were making movies and their names are on the door I gotta like it.

CLEAN rooms. Fairly priced. There breakfast was good. Same stuff you always get. The help in the morning was spectacular. Kept everything fresh and full. Has restaurant and bar.

I cannot recommend this place. The reason, the ejaculate stain on the chair and the typical motel television that has the unchangable wrong aspect ratio where everybody is stretched out and is 5 feet tall. The icing on the cake — I hate to assign blame when there’s no proof but after staying in this room my lady and I both got sinus infections. Admittedly it may be from another cause but out of caution I wouldn’t stay here. I wish now I hadn’t.

Nice, older hotel. Good rates and friemdly, efficient staff. My room was spacious. Beds are comfortable, Wi-Fi worked great.

Service was good. Laid back dining. Reasonable prices and good portion size.

Pretty neat hotel. This is a historic place where over a dozen different actors and actresses have stayed over the years. Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, and delicious breakfast. I highly recommend!

Rooms We're cozy not fancy. Pool was fun. Breakfast was good. Was close to bridge. Celeb rooms.

No more Quality Inn! We booked a non-smoking room and paid. We got a dirty smelling smokers' room. A non-smoking room was no longer free although it was recooked and paid. On request on Expedia was also a non-smoking room ordered. We had to stay since everything was booked out. We could not sleep the whole night before. At five o'clock in the morning I wrote of anger at Quality Inn. The next morning all the clothers and the hair smelled of smoke! Will since the stay the manager speak but he does not call back. Quality Inn Central apologizes by email only. Smoking kills! And we had to spend the night in a smoking room. I'd rather sleep in the car than in this terrible hotel room. I would love this place to sue. The lady at the front desk gave us a room. It was not any better at all. The room was on the ground floor. We should open the window. A window down to the floor that goes straight to the street and everyone could come and steal something. Also, the smoking area was right outside the window. Never again. I can only warn of Quality Inn! Everything corresponds to the truth and the images show it. I want my money back and a compensation. Smoking is unhealthy and we was forced to stay in this room.

Stayed here for one night, and it was just fine. Don't expect anything spectacular. Simple room, simple breakfast. However the stafff was amazing. Very friendly down to earth folks, very helpful, and accommodating. It was a good nights stay because of them!

The rooms are nice and clean. The overall appearance is okay but nothing fancy. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Aging, but clean. Our king bed was very comfortable with nice bedding. Room was clean, as was the overall facility. However, bathroom fixtures are showing age, as is some peeling/damaged wallpaper. Historic aspects were fun as some room doors had plaques stating "_____ slept here. " Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special and the breakfast room could use some significant updating. Outdoor pool area was very basic and not terribly inviting for lounging/ hanging out — could use an infusion of new patio furniture. Just a very basic, aging motel, with a clean room and comfortable bed.

WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE! They employ THIEVES! This hotel is the worst in Canon City! First off the beds were terribly uncomfortable, there were bugs in the room and the food was not great. It consisted of watery eggs, cold biscuits and stale pastries. Typically, I can overlook those things but the nail in the coffin is that they stole my jewelry. It was a pendant and earring set that my husband gave me as an anniversary gift. I was a bit distracted since my husband was badly injured in a rafting trip while there and I forgot to immediately put it on my body. As soon as I noticed that the maids stole it, I called them. I had to call them three times. Each of those times I was told that someone would call me back. They NEVER did! I KNOW for a fact that the maids stole it. I know EXACTLY where in the room I left it. I was told that no one "found" anything. Right?! What they didn't find is any integrity. Who would turn in a beautiful and rare Aztec pendant and earrings in sterling silver with inlaid green fire opal? You are better off locking all of your valuables in your car and hoping for the best. These maids will clean you out completely. Management accepted absolutely NO responsibility and honestly appeared to not care at all. HORRIBLE! You have been warned. I will NEVER stay here again. Like I said, I can typically overlook a lot of stuff including BUGS IN THE ROOM, but the complete lack of integrity is just shameful and disappointing.

I am so impressed with this hotel's staff! We left my dog's food and more importantly, his medication in the refrigerator, and when I called 9hrs after checking out, they had it! And they're going to send it to me, and I am so grateful that their staff cared enough to help us get it back! Stay at this property. You won't be disappointed!

Nothing too extraordinary. It's at a nice location if you're visiting the gorge. But God forbid, I booked a smoking room, being that it was the only one available (let me clarify, I'm not a smoker). I thought it would be completely okay but the moment I opened the door I was hit with the smell. Hard. Like it was completely embedded in the walls with no way to get rid of it, not even with my cologne. Could not even sleep the one night I was there. TL;DR, if you aren't a smoker, make sure you absolutely get a non smoking room. Because they stink real bad. Other than that, can't complain much.

Had an okay stay. Breakfast was good! The hot tubs were cold. We asked to have it turned up, the maintenance man was very curt and said that it was set on 104 degrees. It was definitely not. Rather disappointed about that. The beds were comfy enough, but we did have to air out the room.
