If you get the right girl at the front desk, customer service is spectacular. Great location if your headed to the gorge or interested in exploring the area more than a day. Free breakfast, its standard, meaning the waffle bar is the best part (most options). Rooms are quiet and beds are comfy.

Thanks again to the Hampton Inn Cañon City for a great stay while in the area. As usual, I was greeted with a smile and warm welcome. I have to say, I feel like I’m visiting family. The staff is so courteous and I can’t complain about the facilities. Everything I needed was readily available, and though I was embarrassed that I forgot one of my toiletries, Jon assured me that it was quite alright and provided me with a travel-sized item. Thank you! I will be in the area quite a few times this summer, and I know where I’ll be resting comfortably. See you soon, Hampton Inn Cañon City!

Extremely kind staff! A good, modern, and clean feel with people who actually care for you working all around. Would highly recommend to anybody even if it is a bit out of the way!

Very nice hotel. Hampton has a good reputation in general for being nice and upscale and this one is no different. It is more on the pricey side as far as rates go. If you're staying here for one night just to pass through then I'd say skip it and find a cheaper place, but if you're staying for a bit longer then definitely go with this place.

You could drive the main street in canon city and visually see this is the nicest hotel. The room was roomy and the bed was comfortable. Large bathroom with a big shower but no tub. Mini fridge and a 40inch flat screen with dish. Large pool and a hot tub. Nearby Chinese restaurant. 5 stars because every other hotel in this city looked sketch, haha.

Check in went smooth front desk was very helpful, are room was clean. And a wonderful breakfast! Great experience.

Stayed one night during a business trip to the area. Room was nice, bed was clean and comfortable, met all of my expectations. Free continental breakfast is always a plus.

For looking so old and run down on the outside it's a surprising well kept, clean comfortable hotel with friendly staff. My only issue was trying to get a good night sleep. Walls and floors are paper thin. If you can't get a room on the 3rd floor and you're a lite sleeper you won't be very happy. Other than that it's a pretty nice place. Great breakfast too.

Small hotel in a rural community about an hour from Colorado Springs and two hours from Denver. My room was clean and we'll kept however there wasn't a refrigerator or microwave. There was a decent breakfast buffet available in the mornings from 6 to 10 am. The "fitness center" was a very small room with only one treadmill and one exercise bike. It is only available from 5am to 11pm and although the room key will get you access outside of these hours there is some kind of master switch that doesn't allow the lights to work. Overall it wasn't bad given the depressed area it was nestled in (it sits right next to a Walmart and Chili's).

Great experience. Very helpful staff who make sure you're enjoying your stay and are just super nice. The room was clean and the bathroom was too. Everything worked fine. Breakfast was warm and neatly setup. The pool and hot tub were great too, especially with this cold front that blew in. The beds were cozy and pillows were soft and I had a pleasant night's sleep too.

Nice hotel, but a little noisy on the ground floor. Very attentive staff.

Clean rooms from the service send Stacie the housekeeper was it especially nice home requesting extra towels.

It is clean and comfortable, theres friendly staff. Someone apparently set off a fire alarm and the whole hotel was evacuated at 11 pm. We had to stand outside in the cold until the fire dept. Cleared the building. Sometimes its nice to have a little excitement but it wasnt last night at 11 pm.

Wife and I stayed here and it is a top notch hotel, clean, comfortable, great breakfast, and the staff was superb. We had to check out early, and thought we'd have to forfeit some of our payment, but Jon the manager worked with us. I was floored that he got us the refund. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great place to stay. Convenient to the Royal Gorge Railway and Holy Cross Abbey. Friendly staff.

Very clean! We really liked this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good.

It's the only reasonable option in Canon City, but the hotel needs improvement. We arrived around 10:30, and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come check us in. I called the hotel several times while standing at the front desk thinking it might make someone come faster, and nothing happened. The bed is comfortable, but the room smells funny. The ceiling in the shower is peeling and needs repair. The pool and hot tub could also use updates — the jets in the hot tub don't even work. Not worth the price they're asking.

Enjoyed the breakfast. The guy setting up the food was a nice guy. No complaints.

Very clean and the best hotel we could find within 20 miles. Food was amazing the only complaint was it was a small dining area for breakfast.

We stopped here on our way to an overnight rafting trip, and it's proven to be a very comfortable stay. Happy, friendly service, clean and spacious rooms — especially the bathrooms — and overall a nice experience.

Not a ton of great lodging options in Canyon City, but my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. Our room was comfortable and quiet and the huge shower had great water pressure for a satisfying soak at the end of a long day outside. The carpet and furnishings were somewhat outdated but didn't really affect our enjoyment of the hotel. My least favorite thing about our room was the TV which couldn't be more than 25", making it very difficult to watch playoff basketball/hockey from the bed. Internet was adequate for light phone web browsing and the room has an Ethernet connection at the desk. The pool and hot tub were nice enough but were too small for how crowded it regularly was. Breakfast food was exactly what you'd expect from a chain hotel, nothing great or terrible. We would stay here again, given the price.

Con artists work here. The employees steel from the guests and when confronted the manager, John lies to you about the charges. They charged my account 3 times and refused to refund my money. Terrible customer service to put it mildly. Frauds!

The staff here is incredible! We were having a 90th birthday party for my Dad. We were able to use the conference room, the staff got extra chairs and a coffee pot for the room. The hostess at the breakfast area was super friendly, we will stay here again.

Rooms are tidy and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a pool and hot tub if you wish to unwind. The setting and hotel is not particularly attractive, but it is close to the centre of Cañon City.

This location is my stay of choice. Clean rooms and courteous staff.

Just called to ask a simple question, the lady on the phone was rude. She told me no, and I was polite and said thank you anyways and she got nasty and said K bye. If my phone call is like that. Why would I even consider staying here.

We booked 3 rooms for 5 nights for a family reunion, two of them adjoining. When we checked in, this is not how they were assigned. The manager on duty was quick and polite with a "can do" attitude and assigned us new rooms as we requested. We had a problem with the heater on the third night, it was so cold outside (-10) that it wasn't working properly. Another manager was also extremely helpful and gave us keys to another room to sleep in until morning when someone was there promptly to fix it so that we didn't have to move both of the rooms. This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, each morning a little different but just as good. The coffee was awesome. This was a good hotel and a good value. The staff is what really made a difference. Great job everyone and thank you.

My girlfriend and I stayed a night here and it was amazing. I have been in 7 countries and this one was my favorite, and we are locals! Def be looking forward to staying here again and give it great reviews.

A wonderful home away from home.

Excellent hotel! I live in Texas and came up there on a High School Band trip. We had approx. 50 people in our group staying at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcomed and at home. Always greeted us with a smile. The rooms were neat and clean. Pool area, fitness room were well taken care of. The breakfast area was wonderful! Lots of selections to choose from. The food was always hot and tasted good. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you to all the staff for such wonderful service. You made our stay enjoyable.

At check in they were rude to me, they told me few times before I checked in that they were worry about the noise that I will be making in the room, hoping I dont have a party in the room and make sure lights turn off at 10pm. The reason for my trip was the Royal George, when I got to my room the room that I was assigned had a DND on the door, had to go back to the front desk to make sure the room was not assigned to some else, and ones again. They remind me, we are just worry about the noise. Noise, I have not even checked inn. My room had hair on the bathroom floor, dust and very thin walls, you can hear the TV from the next room and other sounds. No wonder they keep telling me about noise, no wireless internet in the room, will not stay at this Hampton Inn again, do not recommend.

A good value hotel. I've no regrets for choosing this place. There was no wireless internet in the room, but there was a cable internet connection.
