It's an older motel, but very clean. Almost every thing that could be upgraded is. Very nice place.

BED BUGS IN ROOM 24! My boyfriend and I have been hiking on the Continental Divide Trail and had to detour this way from Salida for a night. The room seemed fine when we first got there, despite odd decor choices such as carpeted flooring. However, I awoke to find bites all over me and after searching the bed I found an adult sized bug in the sheets. I put it in a tissue and brought it to management and they were extremely rude and dismissive. Despite having proof, the owners blamed us and kicked us out of the room, at which point I called the police. After spending about 20 minutes talking to the police, the owner was still unwilling to refund us (apparently they are not required to in Colorado! ) and I am now filing a claim with my credit card company and with the health department. I am very disappointed to have been treated this poorly and now have to waste my day at a laundromat making sure no bugs got on our hiking equipment while we were there. If you stay here just know the owners will not be kind if you have issues.

Charged me 250$ for a three pound service dog. I showed them the paperwork and Bruce Lee laughed told me to call the cops and did some kind of Asian hand wave which I took to mean he wanted to fight. A couple of foreigners straight out of don't be a menace to society while drinking your juice in the hood. Nasty repugnant little thieves. Stay away. They will Rob you blind and laugh in your face. I'm homeless till payday. Nips.

Not the cleanest place. Hosts are very rude and very unattentive even for basics. Towels, sheets etc. Will choose any other hotel. You definitely get what you pay for. Was told I should stay at another hotel by the host that answers the phone. Definitely taking his suggestion.

Fantastic place to stay! Super comfortable bed and room! Excellent value. Not new but SUPER clean! We will stay here every time we are in Cañon City.

For the money, this is a great value. Decent, clean, well taken care of rooms at a price that beats all local competitors. I've stayed in my share of cheap hotels. This is one of those gems that stand out! Thank you!

This was the worst place I've ever been. The owner was intrusive and pushy. We checked in for a two night stay, were there for 1 hour, the owner forced his way into the room 3 times In that short period. He kicked us out claiming we had a dog with us because he saw a travel pillow in our moving truck. When I showed him our dead sons URN that we were carrying, using that pillow as a safe place for it, and that we had no dog, he still left my wife and I without a room, and charged us 2 days fee, plus pet fees, plus room key replacement fees. This is this most horrible person I've ever met. DO NOT STAY HERE! And it smelled bad too.

4 star for what it is. A 70's hotel. A tad small, a tad simple, yet cozy, comfortable, homey. Granted, you can get an upscale hotel with the coffee pot (coffee available in the hotel lobby), the hot tub, and the continental breakfast at other hotels (for twice as much), but this is a great hotel for the price, and for what it is. Friendly staff (which appear to me to also be the owners of the hotel), Daddy, Sun, is a delightful gentleman. A true, family operation with emphasis on cleanliness, and friendliness. If you just need a place to stay with a fridge, microwave, 32" LCD tv, strong Wifi, and a nice shower, this is the place. Cleanliness & friendliness are key. This, my friends, is what makes a 3-star hotel a 4-star in all actuality.

It was nice and clean but felt wierd the whole time. Old furniture and just a vey strange vibe. They wrote my credit card info on the back of the paper in case I broke one of their rules I guess. Breakfast was plastic bagged muffins and coffee so we went across the street.

5 stars because the rooms are CLEAN and fully functioning, staff is friendly and helpful, and they offer all of this at a great price. It is a budget hotel, but everything it offers for the price is excellent.

Such a clean and hospitable motel! Owners were nice and when I visit again I'm definitely renting a room from them. And did I mention it's affordable!

Kinda funky, but immaculately clean. Room layout is weird, and the furniture is dated and uncomfortable. Small TV with lame channel lineup. Super finicky hot water in the shower, be careful not to get parboiled. They keep the ice in the office which closes at 2300. Innkeepers are very nice and kind and try to be helpful. Needs more electrical outlets, might wanna bring a 6-strip if you have electronics. Coffee in the office, no in-room coffee pot. Overall, decent value for the money, but be prepared for a few eccentricities.

Good size room. Gave us choice if firm or soft bed. Room and bathroom were very clean and very cheap. I have spent over 100 dollars for rooms that were not as nice/clean.

Very clean. And for being on a very busy street was was very quiet. Enjoyed our visit very much. Would highly recommend.

Nice people, but very strict rules against pets and pot, so if you have those things beware.

They nickeled and dimed us on everything and the beds were the worst. We left after 1 night and found a better place in town.

Great location, very close to the Royal Gorge — the closest of any hotel I saw. The couple that run the place are very nice and hospitable, and they make some great coffee! The room was very clean and it felt very cozy — maybe dated but it was just what we needed! Thank you, we will be back!

VERY clean rooms. Friendly staff (the maid bowed when she brought extra towels). No coffee pot, but mic, tv, fridge and hair dryer. Eclectic collection of colors and fabrics, all in excellent condition. Worth the price.

Filthy. So filthy. Overall I liked it. Reasonably priced. Decent air conditioning. Spacious room. Table and seating. Wifi was strong with no streaming issues. There is a lengthy set of rules to adhere to. No visitors after 10pm struck me as oddly. But one thing gave me pause: that was the filthiness of the carpet. It is the first, and only, place I have stayed where, upon walking around barefoot, my feet were literally black with filth. Yes black. No joke. No lie. The bottoms of my feet were black with filthy filth. It was, admittedly, a smoking room, and a tobacco smell permeated the room. So the smoke entered the carpet. But how long does it take for it to get to the point where black sooty ashy filth gets so bad that it leaves its mark on the bottom of your feet? They really need to clean the carpets regularly in there. Any place where walking around the room causes filthy black filth on the bottom of your feet is just appalling. I shudder to think when the last time the carpets were cleaned. I would pay top dollar to see the water after a good carpet cleaning. It will probably be thick tar black as night sludge. I would stay here again. I urge wearing socks at all times. Or shoes. Wash your feet regularly. Do it. You'll be glad you did.

Extremely clean, amazing rate, super friendly. If I ever pass through Canon City again, I'll be staying here in a heartbeat. Best looking motel room I've ever stayed in at this price, hands down.

I love this place, I stayed at the Colorado in a few days before and that place was gross, so I decided to give this place a try, and I ended up staying a few nights, because my room was VERY clean, comfortable and the owners are very nice and hospitable, I will stay here from now on, when I'm in town,

Cheap and nice people came here on a bussniess trip with my uncle and I asked the guy at the counter whats there to do down here besides the royal gorge bridge cause I already had plans on going there and he told me and also said theres also a good pizza place if u like pizza called the pizza madness and well he was right about it all.

The best a one-star motel can aspire to! Impeccably clean — much cleaner than most three-star places I stay at. Functional staff willing to answer questions.

We stayed in room 22… wonderfully clean, immaculate office, parking lot, walkways, stairs and spotless rooms! I am a clean FREAK! the owners let us check the rooms and check all the beds for bedbugs b4 we even paid to stay the night. They are a family run business with kids! Extremely family friendly. They also have a keurig in the office for the guests to partake of. The outside has fresh paint and new light fixtures. The inside is immaculate, the water pressure superb and the place is super quiet. The price is incomparable. This place shows pride of ownership! Lots of hard labor on the owner's part to maintain and update. Stay here and u will not be disappointed.
