Have been to the Harborfront a number of times. Nice place to stay. Rooms spacious and clean with great views of waterfront. Great location in town. For the price to stay, feel ownership needs to take a second look at in room amenities and offer a better breakfast selection that at best is very, very "minimal". Very odd answer to our question, why room no longer has sheer curtains? Answer, " we dont have them anymore". Makes no sense to go from full sun to using a blackout curtain. What about privacy? Not a big deal but?

Love this place! Been coming here on our boat for years! Only issue this time is our room with the perfect view smells like low tide! Management offered us some air freshener, but the problem appears to be a lot deeper than a spray of Febreze will correct unfortunately! Hoping it's corrected before we come back next year! Otherwise, awesome location!

This is an amazing Hotel — had a wonderful stay with friendly staff and great amenities! Greenport is a great place to visit!

Excellent waterfront location. Walk to shops and restaurants. Drinking water is not provided in the rooms.

Home away from home. Lovely to be settling in after a 30hr trip from Melbourne, Australia — grateful for the warm welcome, friendly staff, beautifully appointed room, 5 head shower and cloud-like bed.

The absolute best place in Greenport and the North Fork — juxtaposition of the site overlooking the harbor and ferry slip and the intervening marsh area is particularly pleasant. Can walk to everything. Rooms are spacious and clean, and very quiet.

The location was great. The hotel was clean. It was pricey and thought the hotel would have a knowledgeable staff when it came to wineries, restaurant suggestions & swimmable beaches. To make matter worse there are not enough parking spaces and we were forced to park on the street and starting at 8am there is2 hour limit. Talked to an employee and she said if you read the web site it says limited parking ; at $ 423.00 a night I believe the hotel should have trained knowledgeable staff. As for the continental breakfast if you like over cooked hard boiled eggs; stale bagels & pastry, old fruit then you would like this breakfast. The balcony which we had had very chairs not comfortable for sitting; also it looked over the parking lot and one can get a glimpse of the water.

We recently spent a long weekend in the North Fork and made a reservation after reading a few articles on places to stay in the area. At $400+/night plus tax and one of the only places that insists on a 3-night minimum, you have certain expectations, but unfortunately the Harborside Inn fell flat on its face. We arrived early Friday afternoon. The lobby is very sunny & bright, and our 2nd floor room appeared that way as well, at least at first glance. However, when you “draw back the curtains” to see what’s really here, it’s very disappointing. First off, the Sharp flat screen TV may have the worst flat screen picture I’ve seen in years. It’s okay if you are standing dead center of the TV, but take 2 steps to the left or right and the picture quality is really poor. At the price we were paying they can replace these lousy TV’s. Being mid-summer, the rooms are understandably stuffy without the A/C on, so we immediately turn on the A/C when we arrived. A few hours later we have determined that despite having a number of settings, we essentially have two options – one temperature/full blast or off. Nothing in between. We call up the operator and are told someone will be there shortly to check it out. Within 15 minutes someone comes by, confirms we are right in our assessment, and states they’ll get someone to come by while we’re out to dinner to fix it. When we come back after dinner we’re pleased to hear it’s been fixed.

Made my resevation. A week before my stay I noticed the prices had dropped. Called them to see if they would honor the lower rate for me. I was told they Would not. I was very suprised because that has happened with hotels in the city and they always did. Was unhappy about that but it is a nice hotel.

Very convenient to the Marina. I would recommend the top floor. We were on the second floor could here the foot trafic above. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Great location, clean nice rooms, friendly service. Perfect spot to explore Greenport and north folk.

This place is beyond special. From the courteous staff to the immaculate lobby and rooms… I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed staying at this wonderful place. We were sorry to leave and can't wait to return.

The absolute worst hotel in all of Greenport and the North Fork. Despite its excellent location it has the interior decor of motel 6 last renovated in 1976 or a senior living community — beige drab inane artwork and blonde wood with overwhelming chemical disinfectant smell throughout the hotel. The check in time 4pm is absurdly late and the buffet breakfast worthy of a 59$ night motel. The problem with this hotel is it's price point — 400/night and it's absolutely substandard hospitality and cleanliness. Unacceptable. The GM — a woman in her sixties who serves at the front desk is abrasive, inappropriate and inhospitable. How unfortunate as she makes the first (bad) impression of the hotel and sets a a negative tone from there on in. Two further notes — the hotel which is seemingly situated on an idyllic piece of land near the dock is but moments away from the marsh grasses teeming with rats. I don't recommend for families or elderly or those with asthma or allergies. Instead might I recommend the sound view up the road — incredible views and hospitality — competitive pricing — sublime tidy decor and a lovely welcoming GM. They were everything this inn was not.

Very nice, clean, modern, comfortable bed. Balconies to all upper rooms. Minimal breakfast options, but hotel is located near to outlets. It backs on to the harbour, and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Situated on the main road, so quite noisy at times in particular when street cleaners and refuse collections in operation. We had the balcony door open as we prefer natural air flow as opposed to air conditioning, which is available. Staff friendly and helpful too.

Loved this inn! Stayed in the Jr. Suite and it was just stunning with a balcony and view of the harbor. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and modern. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone staying in Greenport.

Clean and modern accommodations with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is nice with hit or miss coffee. The hotel pool is well maintained with a nice view of the harbor. Only complaint is that the pillows are rock hard.

Beautiful hotel! Staff were all very kind and helpful and the room and pool were clean and nice looking! It's perfectly located in the heart of town! My family and I will be returning.

Nice room, beautiful view if looking at the water. Limited on-site parking. Great location for visiting North Fork wineries. Nice continental breakfast. Would stay again. Pricey but better off season than in season.

This was our third visit to Greenport, but the first time staying here. The staff could not have been more polite and helpful. We had some major extenuating circumstances unrelated to our stay here to our weekend, and the entire staff was 100% behind us in helping in any way possible. Kudo’s to Diane! That being said as an UNDERSTATEMENT, the property was spotless, the room flawless, the continental breakfast excellent, and I could not think of anything more I would want in a hotel stay! We WILL be back for sure, thanks again to Diane and the whole staff!

The room was very nice. Clean and well furnished. All the staff we ran into were very nice and courteous.

Always a wonderful time here. Hotel is clean and cozy. Staff is great! We always enjoy a quiet and memorable New Years at the Harborfront.

UPDATE (after hotel 'deleted' my prior posts) For a hotel that "prides itself on its exceptional customer service" it is odd that the hotel still has not given any official apology and cannot write an apology letter. That's all that would take to make amends, but for some reason can't be done. As stated before when asked about an apology letter, the manager Jacqueline Dube (the manager) stated "we'll consider it". Very odd that a hotel with great customer service wouldn't just say 'yes' to such a simple request, but states 'we'll consider it" (and that is has not been done) Also suspicious that that hotel would DELETE the prior comments (listed below) off their facebook page. The error was found by the guest, and was only corrected when I, the guest, called repeatedly, not the hotel. Even in your reply here on this page, again there is no "I'm sorry", and always an excuse such as "WHILE there was an oversight. (insert excuse here). " Just an apology letter would solve everything, but for some reason can't be done. Your reply "all levels of management for the inconvenience". I have received no call from Brad for apologies, and only had one discussion with Jacqueline where no sincere apologize made, and again no addressing the comments of the manager stating "The owner doesn't speak to guests". Initial post below: Most disrespectful and dishonest staff (Brad Born) at any hotel that I have ever dealt with.
