Rooms are nice and clean. This is my fifth stay and no problem so far. The location is great with lots of food options and shopping.

Nice welcome. But dirty hotel. A word of advice… Don't walk with white socks in the room… they came out BLACK.

Great clean place for an inexpensive stay. Yeah, the breakfast isn't fantastic or gourmet but I don't expect that when I only pay about $130 for 3 nights. Otherwise its clean, comfy, quiet and very friendly service.

Good rate for an overnight last minute trip. Front desk was extremely helpful and made the booking quick and easy.

1. Old building / rusted sink 2. Room stinks 3. Thin walls (you can hear if people taking in the next room) 4. Breakfast: Stale donuts, cereals, coffee, milk, banana (no fresh made food) 5. Uncomfortable mattress I would not recommend this place.

Terrible beds, old and ugly inside, person who runs the motel took 20 minutes to get up and check us in. The room phone doesn’t work and they don’t pick up even on my cell. Stay at this dump at your own risk.

Had to pay $300.00 for one night in a room that had no cable, was told all cable was out everywhere. Finally got a guest from the next room to get the cable working but couldn't get the remote to work. Both end table lights would go off and on every time the bed moved, management knows of this problem said the plugs are faulty. The small icebox made so much noise when running and the phone had no dial tone! And for you Ladies don't even think about washing your face! If you leave makeup on ANY of their towels its a $25.00 fee charged to your card! And if you are EVER desperate enough to pay such a outrageous fee for overnight in a small cramped, wall hole patched, involuntary strobe lighting broom closet with no cable, be aware there isn't any free breakfast as promised! When we checked out no one was even in office or to be found!

The motel is very basic. You get what you pay for, and I am saying that to set expectations. BUT, for that price, you get a clean room, good shower, with very hot water. The best thing her the proximity to the heavenly gondola, and free parking. Just leave your car, take your skies and go. It's also very close to the "city center", restaurants, shops, entertainment, casino etc. The mangers are nice, but they work very limited hours, so plan accordingly if you need anything from them. What you should not count on: breakfast! Plan to have your breakfast outside the motel, as what they call breakfast, will probably keep you hungry.

The location of this hotel is prime if you are a south tahoe person. Literally minutes walking to heavenly and to the state line where the casinos are. The hotel is cheap and reasonably priced, and the rooms are all fairly clean and well kept. The thing about a place like this is that you can't expect anything too fancy, and you get what you pay for. The hotel is dated and can use updating, but it is indeed clean and well kept like I said, and the staff is nice. They do have handicap accessible rooms on the bottom floor but do not have roll in showers if you are traveling with a handicap person like I was. I will be back.

Terrible bathroom — super cold room and everything become wet after shower. Strange condition system. It continues to work even when temperature is higher then set. But if you turn it off for night, room become too cold somewhere near 6 am. Breakfast has just juice and donats. Technically it is a breakfast, but I was expecting more.

Comfy beds and pillows. Nice, hot water. Spacious rooms.

Room is clean… just giving 4 stars since breakfast is not that good. If you want to just stay here this hotel has best location.

Literally the best Motel in Tahoe. Owners are awesome husband/wife. Clean and ridiculously affordable. Fresh donuts from a local donut shop every morning means they care and try.

Nice people at front desk. Simple lodge. Place is literally falling apart and everything is held together with caulking. Rooms smell, sink was falling off wall in one room, TV is not hd and very grainy.

Basic hotel. Bed was comfortable. Rooms were clean. Easy walk to Harrahs or Harveys. Wish the blankets were a little thicker but what can you ask for at the price.

Great Family owned business. Excellent location. Great service and budget friendly accommodations.

I think many of the other reviewers are too picky. Complaining about room and bathroom size? Outdated? Go get a deluxy ritzy titzy suite down the road! Or maybe they just gave me a better room and cleaned it better. Who knows. The room was quite large with 1 king bed, a flat screen HDTV with all the premium movie channels I don't even pay for at home, fast & free Wi-Fi, and a free bacon breakfast in the morning. The bathroom was clean and larger than most motels, with an actual tub (not just a shower) that was also clean and sectioned off so one could be in the toilet/tub area and another able to use the sink and mirror. Lots of shelves. Didn't have anything to put on the shelves but they were cute. Reminded me of a cute little studio you'd be all excited about when you first move out of your parents house at 18. The prices are also more than fair, I booked on some hotel, motel, holiday inn website for thirty bucks plus taxes and fees. What more do you people want? You must still be living with your rich folks cause it's been 15 years since I moved out, many apartments and houses later and I was still excited.

Rooms: Clean and quite nice. There was a fridge, a microwave and a mini coffee machine with a bit of coffee & plastic cups). However, no cutlery, plates, bottle openers, etc. So bring your own if you want to use it. The bed: Very comfortable, there is only one large blanket. There is also a grpßen TV.
Bathroom: clean and large but quite old and easily run down.
Breakfast: a joke. A few totally sweet particles from the bakery, coffee with instant milk powder, a small cereal selection, fruit, mini plastic and Styrofoam utensils. Could have been saved.
Nevertheless: really nice accommodation. Was only for us to stay overnight, during the day you are on the lake & in the mountains anyway.
The price is salted from the German point of view, compared to the California hotel market but below price segment.

Breakfast was a stale donut. We were promised a handicap accessible room but they said it was because it was downstairs. The bathroom was not. There was not another but they refused refund. So Travelosity rescued us giving us a voucher for a resort room with accommodations. When we called to let them know we would arrive late, we could not get phone answered. It does not have lake views. The private beach is blocks away. We drove to it and ate at a cafe there which is free anyway. Our room view was dumpsters. We had to park far from the room because construction vehicles were parked all over due to a new building going up across the street. It was disappointing. They were not apologetic, and not helpful, even rude saying the entrance was accessible as if that was enough. There are many other small hotels on the same street, I suggest try those and avoid this one. It was dark and dingy too. I regret going there. I wish I could give zero stars.

The location is wonderful. Downtown is very walkable as it the outdoor concert venue. The rooms were adequate. The main lights in our room did not work and there were several broken things in the bathroom.

Overall, the experience wasn't particulatly pleasant. The room that my family stayed in had a lamp in it that was purely decorative because the cord wasn't log enough to reach any outlets in the room from it's position. The room itself was dirty. Just placing my hand on furnitire it would come of with a thin film of dust and I could find remnants of previous occupants stays under the bed.

Don't change your plans not to stay here. It's not the worst place I've stayed at, that's the best I can say. Leaky toilet, bad shower that's too high for kids, noisy fan, and the carpet was absolutely filthy. My kids got cleaned up, took two steps on the carpet, and had to wash their feet again.

The hotel itself, while only two stars, is actually quite nice. The rooms have excellent heating, the beds are soft and springy, TV is quite large and works well, and there is an office desk. The closets are walk in and are very roomy. However, the bathrooms are quite small (the toilet itself is very small). The water is nice and hot, however, which was awesome.

Room had bad smell which lasted intil our noses adapted to smell. Carpets were dirty as well. There should be a catagory of half start motels for one like this and in that case I would have given it a 2 star rating review.

It was fine but the rooms were not clean. We found three waterbottles under the bed and there isn't free breskfast. They gave us a card to order Domino's pizza. The blankets looked really cheap and thin. The refrigerators made alot of noise. The bathroom was soooo small. After all it was fine for one night but don't recommend.

My friend and I arrived got our room and then upgraded for a reasonable price for a Jacuzzi tub but later found out the jets did not work. Which we stayed in the room since it was amazing totally unexpected. Still used the tub with out the jets extra late check out at noon… All and all fun I'd go back.

The best sides of this hotel is its location and price. It is within walking distance of Heavenly and a night is cheaper than a lift ticket. Otherwise it is quite bare and the rooms are quite rundown.

Got a last minute room for NYE at Blue Jay and when we got here, they gave us no trouble checking in… as so far, the staff has been excellent. The owners work their butts off, and do a good job. My only complaint so far is that the neighbors woke us up at 4 am being loud. That isn't the hotel's fault though, but… you know…

Electrical box hanging out the wall with loose wiring. Ripped blankets. Half the lights don't work. Wi-Fi so slow we couldn't stream video in 300p — cellular 4g worked better. Gum all over carpet floor. Embarrassing breakfast of donut and cereal. Can't believe we paid $350 a night for this dump.

Good, clean rooms, pleasant and responsive staff and great location. It is quite easy to walk to the beach, the ski lift and some of the shops in town. Their breakfast is excellent.

The rooms were clean, and service was great. Affordable pricing.

We stayed two nights. Rooms were ok. 4 out of 5 people walked out with bed bugs bites. Bed cover and blankets were not clean.

The room itself was okay, but they put us in the back where they were renting rooms to workers which made me unconfortable, the breakfast they served was bad (stale donuts, instant oatmeal but no salt, cereal, coffee and discussing orange juice), the coffee they give you in the room smelled bad and tasted even worst. I guess u gt what you pay for but I would not expect renters and stale donuts, I mean at least some bagels and cream cheese would be nice.

This hotel is beautiful, big, and the manager is awesome. I cannot believe a person who says how accommodating they were gave them 3 stars. This place is 5 stars. The price is AMAZING. The beds are cozy and clean I will definitely frequent and recommend.

Price was right, definitely not a bargain though. Room smelled like a litter box, but we got used to it after a bit. And make sure to show up early for "breakfast " cause you might miss out on the stale doughnuts.

Absolutely great for the price. Wi-Fi worked great, parking was a little short but three adults in 1 room for 40 bucks can't beat it.

I really liked our stay here because the affordability and location. It may be an older hotel but you can tell the new owners are really turning it around. It is a work in progress and will get better as the new owners put more time and money into it. Give it a chance. If you are looking for a fancy, new everything hotel then you are at the wrong place. If you are looking for affordable, good location, clean rooms and genuinely nice people, this is your place.

What a great find! Yes, it's an older lodge, but it has been nicely redone, everything was very clean, the staff were very nice, check in and out were both quick and smooth, the lodge was packed, but everything was very quiet, only a block from the casinos! I was amazed at the great deal I got! Coffee maker, microwave and fridge! Free Wi-Fi and a nice TV, once again I was really surprised for the price! I will definitely stay there again.

The room was a clean, basic, motel-style room. The service was excellent for our needs. It's under new management; a lovely couple work their butts off to serve and keep on top of making sure your stay is easy (we weren't terribly demanding, but we received prompt and no-hassle service whenever we needed it, including a new key at 1:00am. ) We were there through 4th of July. They separated the "party" tenants from the "family" tenants, which was perfect and allowed for everyone to enjoy their stay accordingly. My husband and I and our teenage children stayed three nights and were glad we did. We would stay there again. The rates were reasonable, the room was simple and clean, the proximity to Stateline casinos and shopping was perfect. The pool was being rehabbed, so they compensated with free passes to Stateline beach. Great time! Highly recommend it for a simple place, reasonably priced, with location, location, location.
