This is a beautiful place with lots of amenities and helpful and friendly people, this is our second time skiing in Lake Tahoe and will love to come back!

To me, Lake Tahoe is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I love the the way the weather, lighting and seasons make everything there look so spectacular.

Having a great time, always something to do, shops are all up to date! Jjust a great place to be. Still enough snow on the mountains to Ski and Board but warm enough down long the town to wear shorts!

The beautiful scenery, they have really nice hotels and everything's is in walking distance.

Needed a place to stay last minute and found this place. The rooms were clean. However, I noticed the extra latch to the door was broken which had me a little worried.

Can I post 0 Stars! My biggest complaint was when my husband went in to talk to them about the free internet and how we kept getting bumped off so he can"t do his job he had to go down to Starbucks or McDonald's to actually work. The manager started YELLING at him. They told him "You must not understand what free internet is. Don't you understand that it is free? " Which my husbands response was "So you're saying because it's free it doesn't have to work? " And then they started yelling at him more that it's free it's free and you don't understand what free means. So basically they're just saying that since it's free it doesn't have to work. That everything that they give as part of the cost of the room at $154 a night for a MOTEL, if they say it says free then it doesn't have to work. If they would have talked to him as a paying customer we were and treated him nicely this review would have then a little bit better. However any business that would treat their customer who has a complaint and came to them very calmly and very nicely is not worth ever staying at again. They missed the mark on this one. Because we were with 50 other people who all would have been customers next year at the same time. But now, we will do a different Motel next year, all of us! I don't advise staying here because if you have any problems you will probably get yelled at by the manager or owner.

Average motel but great location. The staff was very nice.

He lied to me, I asked for a room for 2 adults and he said 60+tax. I said your ad says 40+tax he said no you said 2 adults and 4 kids and I can't sell you a single bed with all those people, I have cameras I'll watch you. I said go ahead and watch … look I'm tired I need a room… he said 60 or get going. I think he was a Indian racist.

Clean and quiet but priced way too high. It is irksome that many of the motels and hotels in Tahoe are overpriced and run down. To pay two hundred dollars for a motel 6 type more seems egregious. I have yet to find a motel away from the strip that is a good buy for the money. I discussed this with the manager and, to her benefit, she seemed empathic.

It's worth the drive. Tahoe is a very huge lake… most beautiful and scenic. One night halt is a must to get the feel. When you're here you can squeeze in a visit to Reno which is just an hour and a half's drive. Reno is full of casinos, almost like Vegas.

Nice simple motel room at reasonable cost. Good location, clean room and all the essentials (cable tv, Wi-Fi, coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator). 20 minutes away from Sierra At Tahoe ski resort.

Although it has undergone some renovations last year, the rooms are still not the nicest thing in town. The management has that 'take it or get lost' attitude, and you can expect this kind of treatment no matter how long you choose to stay.

My overall stay at the Apex in was good. The mattresses appeared to be new and were very firm. The room was clean, the bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries, and there was a mini fridge and small microwave available to us in the room. There is also free Wi-Fi available to guests. The price was good for a Friday night in South Lake Tahoe, however there was a cleaning fee in addition to the room fee, which was not anticipated.

Being a small motel, Apex has good access from Highway 50. It's also close to shops, gas stations, restaurants and take-out places. The staff too were very friendly and warm. However, their rooms are small yet well organised. There may be better places nearby for less price or more; I can't really say. We went by the 3.5/5 ratings on Expedia, and we're not disappointed. Will definitely consider other options (we're adventurous) in our next Tahoe trip.

For the price it has just what you need! Comfy bed, fridge, microwave, etc. Wish water pressure was higher but we had our entire family staying in several rooms and 9 out of 10 were great. One was very small.

Checkin was fast but the room was very congested and there was hardly any space for hanging or keeping any stuff. AC wasn't working properly. No instructions were provided like calling directory, dining options etc. The utilities in the room and bathroom were insufficient.

Clean room, decent service. The room itself however, was stuffed so we had to blast our AC the whole night. The bathroom is tiny, so keep that in mind while booking the place.

Staying at this place was amazing! The rooms were amazing! I loved the pillows! I would recommend staying at this place if you come to Tahoe! The rooms were clean and nicely organized, the staff was really nice and helpful. They also had free Wi-Fi. Overall, staying at apex inn was amazing, if I ever come to Tahoe again I will stay here with my family again!

Good location, but small room. Restroom wasn't very clean, and I found two dead flies by the window. Staff wasn't kind. Not recommend.

I have been so lucky getting to know this amazing beauty full of grace in a way I never would have, had my parents not moved here five years ago. I enjoy the summers here the most. However we are here at the moment enjoying a white Christmas. My first one ever. Tahoe is a feast for the eyes and the soul. It's also a playground and training ground for some of the most elite athletes in the world (if that's you're jam). One of the things I like the most is the friendly people whom truly commit to living here (the locs. ) I have always felt super welcome and there are tons of dog people which is nice too. O man! The nature! Sunrises that will bring tears to the eye. Super humbling. One of my favorite places I have ever been on earth.

Conveniently located, extremely clean the apex Inn was a delightful stay. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating and had excellent recommendations.

Horrible! BEWARE. There toilet in our room backed up, flooded the bathroom at 10PM. Management did absolutely nothing to help us. Threatened to charge me for possible damage! wouldn't refund me for room after staying there the previous night already. Extremely rude people. Reporting to BBB as well.

PEOPLE BEWARE: I was quoted $89 over the phone a week prior to my stay, upon my arrival date I ended up paying $115 to a 2 bed room that did not have toilet paper, extra towels, pillows. The Wi-Fi sucked, and the phone in the room did not work. The worst of the worst; 2 days later I found out they charged my credit card an additional $60. Bringing a dirty Cock Roach infested motel to a grand total of: $ 175.00 when calling them to find out why they were charging me additional money they started yelling at me in another language when 5 minutes before that they were speaking in English. (People "BEWARE" they are CROOKS! )

If you can't stay down the street at the High Country Inn, this is our back-up hotel.

A good place to rest after skiing with decent Wi-Fi and reasonable prices.
