The rooms are clean, modern and have huge TV screens. The bed is great and comfortable and the staff is nice. Looking forward to the next stay.

Hotel was small but I was surprised by their modern looks and rooms were super clean. Service was first class. Check in and check out was super quick. Murphy street is right across walking distance. Front desk lady recommended Half moon bay and was a awesome, clean not so crowed beach. Would definately stat again next time we come to Sunnyvale area.

Unassuming from the outside, but nicely appointed and modern decorations, inside. Lobby area, bar, and restrooms were all quite nice, inviting, and easy to spend time at for any purpose or occasion. Plus, there are even some mini fireplaces by some seats.

I always like staying at the Alofts in the Bay Area because they are modern, clean and no fuss. This Aloft is no exception, with friendly service too. Only complaint is that the nightclub next door can be quite loud some nights. Plenty of parking and decent rates. Shopping within walking distance too. Will come back.

Functional, modern decor very IKEA-esque. Rooms are on the smaller side. Courteous staff. Convenient location.

Best bartender ever. He makes good drinks too. Rooms are small but clean and all I needed. Great location and chill environment. Always Aloft California Colorado I’ll take it.

It's great for a small stay. Breakfast options are very limited and the when I checked the lady at front desk was not very friendly. Also I was not able to use my Marriott number. I thought with SGP and Marriott merger I could. Front desk had no clue about it…

Staying at this hotel for a business trip. The hotel is very clean and has a cool modern design. I find the bedding to be comfortable and the large TV in the room is great. I haven't had any issues finding a parking spot, which is always a great thing. Overall a very positive experience thus far.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Room cleanliness was questionable. Specifically the floor. Walking barefoot in the room really tells you how well they clean when you end up with black feet and have to wipe off everything that has stuck to your feet do you're not sleeping in it. Parking… I was lucky, got there early enough and didn't leave. But after I parked, I noticed the lot was full every time I walked by. For ice, you have to go to the front desk. Thought that was weird. Finally, maybe I just had bad luck… But I was put on a floor where at least 3 rooms had their doors open all evening and a party where people were hanging out loudly in the hall floating between rooms till about 10. After that they closed the doors but the floating between rooms still went on till much later. I know this because a door would slam shut followed several people talking very loudly and again another door slamming shut. I guess that is why there were earplugs left on the nightstand. This is the first Aloft I've stayed at where I had a problem. And the first Aloft I would not recommend staying at because of everything I encountered. Also, if you book online for a small discount you get the disabled/accessibility room.

Do you like being able to hear not only the other occupants in different rooms but enjoy also the quality and comfort of IKEA furniture? No? Me neither. The saving grace of this place is its staff, they were great. That being said being able to hear the birdy chime of the crosswalk indicators isn't all that enjoyable when played with the background music of your neighbor's urination. If you have conference calls with sensitive information don't do them here. Most things seemed designed poorly and I pity the maintenance staff for most likely having to repair things left and right.

Cool hotel. Had issues with the keyless feature, but everything else was great.

My girlfriend booked at aloft a week ago & The front desk associate " Ankit was definitely very helpful and very impressed with his customer service finding a room that fit our requirements for the event my girlfriend and I had to go for the night. They are located near downtown Sunnyvale. There are a lot nice restaurants near by. Great place Great location. Ankit gave us a complimentary breakfast on the house. Thank you soo much Aloft & Ankit. You treated us like family. Will refer my friends and family.

That was a friday or a saturday night and it was completely dead. No music, no customers, no bardenter. Food is also overpriced.

Breakfast was terrible. Rooms were small. On the positive side, room was clean and location was great (close to restaurants and public transportation).

Amazing bartender service. Exclusive drinks. Very trendy rooms and ambience.

Great location, friendly staff and much better than most hotels in the area. Lets in quite a bit of noise from outside but usually the area is very quiet at night.

The location is good and it is clean. However for the price, the room is pretty small and minimalistic. The style is modern and brown / grey colors do not make me feel at home.

Great hotel we came only for 3 nights and we had a great time. The stuff and the service so nice and we felt like home. I'm very happy that we decided to come here and not to another hotel. Thank you very much!

Great place to stay. Staff are excellent. Really helpful and clearly enjoy their jobs. Great places to eat nearby. Akita is super helpful. Feels a safe place to walk around which is good when you don't know the area. Will stay again.

The room is small by American standards — very little space beyond the bed (not counting the bathroom). Nevertheless it is comfortable as a place to sleep — I was in town for work so didn't use the room much beyond that. The hotel is in a good location, with a street of several restaurants right around the corner. Free parking is also a nice touch.

Very modern but basic hotel that provides only the essential items you need when traveling (a good bed, very basic amenities, a clean bathroom, etc). They feel super clean and have modern furniture and lighting. What it lacks is traditional hotel amenities such as a restaurant or room service. Prices are questionable, but that goes for any hotel in Silicon Valley. Staff are super nice and accommodating.

Nicely apportioned hotel with a modern feel and European style flair. Rooms are small but efficiently thought out in layout. Comfortable bed. Large showers. Friendly staff.

My husband booked a night for our first wedding anniversary with our two babies, the room was not what we expected, very small especially with the crib they provide for our baby and had no room to walk around. We went out for the day and returned back in the evening to relax and shower, did not expect our shower to not work. They sent maintenance to come check, which was very inconvenient due to it being past 10pm and only for them to have us completely switch rooms in the middle of the night. They did not do anything for us for this inconvenience but tell us to e-mail their manager! We were very disappointed especially with the price these rooms go for and having to deal with these problems.

Great designs, as far as modern and what-not. The room was kinda small. The area was central to everything on the peninsula. Great reception desk clerks and friendly staff in general. I'd stay here again.

Very nice boutique hotel. The staff was friendly the property was clean. Conveniently located if you are working in the area. The rooms are small but perfect size for an overnight stay. The bathroom and showers add a touch of modern flair.

Nice place to stay for business related travel. It did take a while to get a refrigerator, but besides that everything was pretty smooth in my stay. Nearby on Murphy St there are a lot of restaurants and bars if you are looking for food, and a Farmers market on Saturday as well.

The hotel is located in downtown Sunnyvale, conveniently across from restaurants and bars, and even a block from a great foot massage place. The rooms are spacious, modern, with laminate flooring and comfy beds. There is limited food for purchase in lobby, a bar and a gym, as well as free parking behind the hotel. The only reason I couldn't give this place 4 or 5 stars is because housekeeping in this hotel could be better. They didn't clean the bathroom, sweep the floors, or wipe down surfaces a couple of days when I was there, and only replaced the towels. Questionable.

Great experience from beginning to end. Wonderful accommodating staff. They really go out of their way. Devin was great when I booked and also at the front desk when we got there. They are also pet friendly which really came in handy for us. We were on the 4th floor and our room was wonderful and spotlessly clean.

We are having a wonderful experience here at the Aloft Hotel in Sunnyvale. When I called to make a reservation I spoke with Devin who was very helpful and knowledgeable. When we checked in coincidentally Devin was working and checked us in. Took care of all of our questions and got us completely taken care of. He was also very friendly and fun. Our room is great. Very clean with a very modern decor. The hotel is also pet friendly which had an added appeal for us. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel. Clean and nice snacks and coffee throughout the day. Great staff. Very accommodating with our dog and let us have a very late checkout. Will use again in the future!

Not great for couples. Maybe is aloft's style, but room is so minimal that the bathroom has no privacy. No breakfast, outside of some pastries. Good luck getting a parking spot, too.

This is not a standard aloft. I like staying at alofts, mostly due to their predictability. There is no carpet on the floor of the rooms. When I checked into my 3rd floor room the entire hallway was ripped up and the sub floor exposed. They shouldn't have given out rooms in these conditions. There was no hot breakfast to order either. None of this was obvious when I booked. I'm used to staying at the one in Cupertino but it was full. I thought, "what could go wrong — they are all the same… " Nope, avoid this one.

Great modern hotel in centre of Sunnyvale. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Rooms where a bit noisy but earplugs were provided. Also parking was bit challenging.

Rooms are the size of a shoebox. I barely had room for my stuff since there is about less than 2 feet (okay, maybe 2 ft) of space on each side of the bed. They had a rowdy and extremely noisy crowd of people partying all night and some of the noisiest were in the hallway right outside our room. Hard to find a parking spot. Will never stay here again. Not worth what we paid for the room. We stayed for 3 nights. Only pro is the bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean.

Service was mostly great… All but maybe one of the people we interested with were professional, friendly and helpful. Location was good… Basically the great if downtown Sunnyvale. Rooms were just okay… The smaller rooms feel very cramped and the highest setting on the shower stall was still weaker than I would have liked.

New hotel so everything is new and nice. Breakfast offer is very limited. Friendly staff. Location is a mixed bag — super close to some nice restaurants and a great shopping area, but too close to train tracks to be quiet.

New hotel (opened 2015) so everything is nice and shiny. Warm and friendly service. Has nice bar/lounge to work or relax. Rooms are comfy with feather-free option but can be a bit noisy with banging doors (hotel provides ear plugs), people shuffling upstairs, etc. Good location by Sunnyvale Downton and near public transport.

Rooms are a little smaller than an average aloft room. Parking lot could feel a little uncomfortable at night, it's public, shared, not very well lit, doesn't have security, and nobody is around after 10 or 11pm on week nights. Don't think I will be staying here again, would take aloft Cupertino or Sheraton Sunnyvale over this one any time. The usually expected quality from an SPG hotel is there: clean, good service, nice staff, and modern rooms.

New and cool. Really close to Silicon Valley. One block away from a road full of restaurants.

This is a very good hotel solution in the area. The rooms are modern and clean. This is a "boutique" Aloft, and the rooms differ from the standard configuration you find at most other hotels in the chain. Mainly, they are quite a bit smaller, but that is no issue for me on a business trip, for example. The location is great — next to Caltrain and the restaurants of Murphy St. Service is friendly. Breakfast is a little sparse I must say — think cereal, oats, toast, a few fruits.

Great location. Rooms are smaller than your average Aloft. The biggest surprise was super slow internet speed. Up your data plan on your phone if you plan to stay here regularly because you will get frustrated with their internet. There isn't even an option to pay for faster speed.

As a woman traveling for business on her own, I did not feel comfortable in this hotel. The hotel parking lot is open, public, and shared and there was no security present when I returned to the hotel at 10pm. The first room I was given didn't have a window (I kid not — 214, and I'm an SPG gold member) and the second room was off of the bar on the first floor, with a window facing the back/main entrance. Very public and noisy. The third room (finally) was decent but still tiny. The staff was helpful, but didn't seem particularly experienced (in their defense, it's a new hotel). I was so excited to stay at this conveniently located hotel, but was sorely disappointed and won't be back.

Their room is kinda small compared to other Aloft hotels; But they have a very accommodating and friendly staff. If you're an SPG member, opt in for the green choice to earn more points during your stay.
