It's just a awsome place to stay at it definitely gets a 5 star from me.

It's a nice environment to live with your partner, but I live alone and feel a little lonely. Ha ha.

Fun place to stay — totally different the normal hotels!

Its location is perfect. The amenities are everything my family needs. After all, it’s just where we put up our feet when we’re in the Bay Area. The front desk staff is amazing and truly wonderful. They’re helpful and they have the patience you need when the front desk area is teeming with guests who’ve just been dropped off by a big bus. The bar is a fun place to go after a long day out and about. And the billiards table and video game table for guests of all ages to enjoy— is a delight!

I've always stayed at w hotels or westins. This was my first time staying at an Aloft hotel and I am totally impressed. The front desk staff went above and beyond. The rooms are very well designed and very functional. The bartender knows how to make a mean Manhattan♥️
all in all I'm quite satisfied with the property.

Hip chic… Or something like that. Unsure how the marketing folks describe it. Something about a lower price W brand hotel. I didn't have much time here at this location. The place looks clean and modern. Actually, the place looks recently renovated or redone. Looks like a lot of fun things to do here while you wait for the airport shuttle, a flight, a friend. Should I visit the San Francisco area again I would without hesitation book a room here. Super convenient location. It is right next to the freeway and airport. I could hear the jets taking off before going to sleep. The noise didn't keep me up though. Must have been the cozy bed and fluffy pillows.

Very nice looking hotel, trendy bar and design on the inside. Good location. Friendly concierge. A big plus is if you want to drive to San Francisco airport you can leave your car there and take their free shuttle to the terminal. We did it online and it was 24 dollars for two nights.

Nice hotel with clean rooms. The walk to your room can be a bit much and the hallways are a little dark but overall had a great stay in a very comfortable room. I never heard any planes except when I was outside of the hotel doors. Stayed in Room 150. The hotel shuttle to and from the airport was a convenient amenity and ran like clock work ever 20 minutes when I stayed there. Would definitely stay again when in San Francisco.

This hotel is trying too hard to be a Hipster hotel and forgets that they are in the service industry. Even 20 somethings find it cheesy to call the staff "talent" or to put "hasta la keysta" on the room key. It's like hearing your grandpa say YOLO. Because our flight was diverted, we needed to purchase some toiletries but the staff (sorry, I mean "talent") could not figure out how to get items out of the cabinet. The bathroom in our room (sorry, I mean "open space") was pretty much open. It's a cool design choice if it's the shower but no one wants an open toilet area.

Nice, but feels a bit like lipstick on a pig. My toilet wasn't … attached to the floor? O. O There was someone smoking on the second floor and no one seemed to care. No privacy screens on the windows that also let light in. No light in the shower, and poor water pressure. Wonderful sitting area though, and great gym.

The staff are friendly and check in is easy. The room is nice, nothing special but nothing wrong with it. It's pretty much the closest you can possibly get to the airport for a hotel, and parking is easy so you'll be at the airport 10 minutes after you check out. The building is sound proofed enough that you won't hear airplanes taking off right over the building.

Very comfortable and modern hotel, very close to the airport. A free shuttle service to the airport is served every quarter of an hour.

Great location if you need to get to the airport quickly. The shuttle runs every 10 minutes or so, which is nice. Also, the aloft food options aren't great, but you can walk across to the Westin and eat at their pretty solid restaurant.

A funky place. Very helpful staff, especially since no information about hotel facilities is provided in the rooms. I had the pool to myself for 40 minutes of laps this morning but no tomorrow since I bashed my lower left leg on the exposed metal corner of the bed frame sticking out from the mattress this afternoon. The saving grace is the facilities of the sister Westin next door where I could buy a newspaper and had two wonderful but overpriced dinners in the dining room.

As we (a party of five) struggled with a very late cancellation of our flight we met with Andrew (Assistant General Manager) a very nice, polite and courteous guy who helped us a lot. The Airline had sent us to the Hotel but they had no capacities. He helped us out with a nice meal and something to drink and finally with two rooms for us after long hours of waiting. If you meet him you can be grateful… we were!

Truthfully, I loved it! I read the reviews about all the problems people have left but I had a great time. All the staff, from the bartenders to the shuttle were awesome, the decor was fun, and the rooms were nice enough and it's RIGHT NEXT to the bay where you can watch the planes take off. The shower sucked and I wish the bathroom had a real door as opposed a sliding door (a little privacy is nice) but everything else was great!

A great value for the price. Roomy. Comfy. Clean and funky. Gracious and friendly staff. No restaurant here but there's one across the street in the Westin, a two minute walk.

The service was really good. The rooms were decent. I liked the design of the bathroom and the there was enough space to get work done. The only downsides are it is about a 25 min drive to downtown and the noise from the airport.

Terrible property. The room you book is not the room you will get. They charge you for upgrades that is not available and refuse to refund your money.

After a long ordeal and cancelled flight at the airport, the Aloft staff made my day with their impeccable customer service. The lobby and rooms are clean and modern and it was a quick ride to the airport. I can’t say enough how much I appreciated the friendly staff at the front desk and bar who went out of their way to accommodate me!

Feel the new renovation with contemporary touch interior design. Very quiet and comfortable rooms and beds. Fast check-in and a one phone call to check out. Super convenient to the airport.

Aloft gets an A+ from me! So nice to arrive in San Fran at midnight only to have a flight back out at 7am. Do you sleep at the terminal scared to miss your flight? I used to think that was safest, now I hope for Aloft accommodations anywhere I go. I have never felt so refreshed and recharged then I did sleeping here. Easy to fall asleep and such a pleasant waking from the alarm clock. Thank you for making me comfortable!

They are very far from any non highway roads and lots, so of course they setup a scam where you have no choice but to pay extra if you have a car. Something around 25 bucks. Cheap penny pinching way to pretend their prices are lower than they actually are. I hear the hotel they share a lot with validates, so def give the other guys your business if true. Otherwise fairly standard. Minimalist modern rooms. Polite staff. Close to the airport. Maybe consider if you Uber, otherwise don't support them on principal.

Lovely space. Games in lobby. No hot tub, indoor pool cold. Get parking cheaper though an app—we paid $12 with Spot Hero. No restaurant, but hotel across street has a good one. Ran out of only thing with eggs for breakfast. Would stay again.

Contemporary efficient room layout. Premium bedding and very comfortable bed. Breakfast available for a charge. It was high quality bowl worth the $9 charge. Lobby has a pool table and other games.

The free shuttle that runs every 20 minutes from SFO to the hotel is a great perk, it was quick and timely. The hotel itself is in good condition and resonates the "W" brand like they intend. Little extras like the quick-grab items in the lobby (for a fee) are nice if you're in a hurry. Overall the vibe and feel of the property is relaxed and easy-going. The staff at the front desk were quick and helpful — I experienced no problems checking in or out — both very fast. The room was clean and modern and in good shape. My only complaint is that I was positioned looking directly at the airport runway and when those planes put the engines on I heard it. Loudly. I would recommend if possible to request a room on the OPPOSITE side of the building which I'm sure would be much less noisy. But I mean, you are RIGHT next to the airport so you have to expect some things. This was my first experience at the an Aloft property and having been here I would return to it or another Aloft property elsewhere.

Wonderful staff and a nice room. Cool decor, though it was a bit full of itself. It was a bit louder than I expected even though I knew in advance that it was next to the airport. All in all I would recommend the hotel.

Nice hotel, guest services could of been a bit more polite. They forgot to service the room 2 days in a row and than said they had no one available to service it since it was too late. Kinda pricey for the service you receive. They weren't willing to accommodate a later check out since we had a later flight at 6pm and check out was at 12 so spent 6 hours at the airport. They did check us in early though at 6am which was nice.

I stayed here for one night before an early flight out of SFO. It was better than most airport hotels, fairly stylish and with nice rooms. Everyone working there was nice. You pay for parking though. And I grabbed a quick dinner at the bar and it was pretty mediocre. All in all though a nice place to stay if you want to be close to the airport.

If you want to be close to the airport then this is a good choice. Airport shuttle is every half an hour. Hotel is clean and full of colours. The internet didn't really work when I was there for the night. The rooms are spacious with even nicer bathrooms. No breakfast provided but there's a coffee bar. The hotel is very secluded though with nothing walking distance away.

It is really close to the Airport, right at the end of one of the runways off Exit 420 and next to route 101, you hear the planes and the traffic, I didn't notice it after a while. The Millbrae Bart station is 5 minutes walk away, for access to San Francisco without a car. If you want easy access to the Airport and anything on the Bart you can stay without a car, parking is expensive at $30 a day. The rooms are big, comfortable and very modern plenty of room to spread out. There was only one chair in the room for the desk. If you want to sit there is a nice lobby which was quiet sometimes and busy at other times, the WXYZ bar and breakfast is very limited. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance in Millbrae and the New England Lobster Market near the bay. It's a good place to use as a base if you want to go to Palo Alto and San Francisco. Great if you need to be at the Airport early or late.

Poor reservation service! no courtesy even when she acknowledged and stated "it cancelled on our system as well"? … Sorry not "sorry" letter by their Reservations Coordinator, "We looked into the reservation activities with reservation team. Right after you booked the room (you showed that was hold) with travel agency system, it came into our system as confirmed reservation. 5 hours later, like you mentioned it cancelled on our system as well. In case travel agency hold the room only, the reservation should not have generated into our system. After our consideration, we are able to refund 50% of cancellation fee, however our reservation system received as a confirmed reservation through the travel agency, I would like to suggest you contact the travel agency about this booking issue. I hope this helps you resolving. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. "? you kept 50% of a "cancelled" room on your system!

I really enjoyed my stay I was in San Francisco for a concert and the staff member was to distracted and forgot to activate our parking pass but other then that my room was amazing. It had an awesome view of the airport the bed were very comfortable I wish I knew the type of bed I slept in all in all I enjoyed my stay.

This hotel is one my favorite among the others of the same brand. Very spacious, open space for larger crowd meetings. Attended an event that was held my a meet up group and if was very pleasant atmosphere.

The clean, well maintained hotel is a 15 minute shuttle ride from the airport. The lobby is large and had a bar, area to print boarding passes, make phone calls and more. The rooms are a good size, however the walls are a bit thin. I could hear the woman in the room over as she had a conversation. Overall, a good hotel choice if you're looking to be close to the airport.

Very good for the price. My first impressions of it are it being an amazing hotel. I do have a few very nit picky complaints, but even with then it still gets 5 Stars. Lobby area is awesome and very modern. A pool table, lots of comfortable seating, random games on the tables. Good lighting and lots of color. And there is a shuttle to the airport that runs several times an hour. A pool and gym area. Nice seating area outside with like a fire pit and a bean bag toss game. The room is minimalist, no painting on the walls or anything that is not nessasary or serves a function. A few nit picky complaints. There was a high pitched electrical buzzing noise in the bathroom (I think it was the safe). There is no light switch by the bed, so you have to walk in the dark to get into the bed. The window shades are either open and people can see in, or closed and let in no light, there should be a middle option with a transparent cloth that lets in half the light. The bathroom floor tiles are sharp around the corners and hurt my feet while showering. It’s not the best area for walking, like In & Out and Panera are a half mile walk, everything else is further. Also the shampoo dispenser in the shower took about 30 pumps before it let out any shampoo.

Love the style of these hotels. Great room layout and nice amenities. Only negative would be that it's right next to the airport so the sound kind of cuts through. Also, parking is really expensive!

Great for a quick nights stay. Cute bar and hang out area downstairs. Clean room nothing fancy. No free breakfast though.

Great room at a great price however they try to get you with parking. $30 a night beware. Other than that not too bad. Amenities are expensive but I'm not there for that. There is a decent gym and swimming pool.

I had a good stay here. Rooms are nice and clean. Service is great and staff awesome. A typical aloft property. They have sometimes live music. You can go and eat at the Westin across the parking lot and charge it to your room at the aloft. This reciprocal benefit is great. They also have a nicer pool.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly when I arrived. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. It's located next to the airport so there is some airplane noise. I was working third shift so I was sleeping during the day. The blinds did an excellent job keeping out the day light.

We weren't there for very long, but we enjoyed our time. Got checked in a little early. Used the gym facilities. Went to bed. We had an early flight to catch, so we didn't participate in any other offered amenities, but I was curious about the live music they were offering as entertainment. Being so close to the airport was convenient, and the sounds of the airport barely penetrated our room. All in all, not bad.

Loved their friendly service. Lance and Bonnie were really helpful. They provided excellent service. Room was super clean and room service was excellent. Good good foodwill recommend to people.

Was not a fan of the concept. Like others, surprised that there was no breakfast included, even as SPG Platinum member. Get concept of low scale W, and we enjoyed playing checkers in lobby. Room was very basic, no wow factors in the room. Entertainment during week, but not on Saturday when we were there.

I was looking for a hotel for 1 night before heading to the Fairmont in San Francisco. I was very tired due to my long flight from Miami. This hotel was in a perfect location, and was great overall.

Fantastic stay at the Aloft SFO. Great room, very quiet, and great staff. Rooms are a nice size, and the overall look is trendy and modern. Love the live music at night that goes over all the hotel and elevator speakers. $25/night parking is a bummer, but it's near the airport. Close enough to Silicon Valley for a daily commute too.

Cold concrete contemporary rooms. Staff is sometimes nice and sometimes just there. But if you need a room by SFO to sleep in this one is a decent choice.

Stayed here a few weeks ago and making reservations for another trip in a few weeks. I must say, they have ruined me for any other Hotel. Truly my only complaint is not having more food available after Breakfast. The bed and pillows amazingly comfortable and CLEAN! Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. They provided dog beds and food and water bowels for my fury kids. I truly enjoyed my stay there and can't imagine staying at another Hotel now! Even their soaps smelled great!

Very close to airport, clean. Walls are thin though so the guy next having a conference call at 6:30am was unwelcome. Also, no conditioner in the bathroom — I know this is true of all alofts but it's annoying.

Great hotel! Prices are reasonable if you book in advance. The hotel is modern and in touch with the younger generations needs. Keyless entry into rooms with your phone, HDMI plugs for your tv, free hi speed Wi-Fi, comfortable lounge and great rooms.

Decent mid-level ecinomy hotel near the airport. This place is modern and funk. It's well kept and cleaner than you would think fir a high volume place. Its not a luxury place, but I'd stay hear again if I needed to be near the airport.

Great experience! The check in process was seamless and they were super friendly. The room was clean and had all of the amenities that you would expect. Nice lounge area with live music and posh bar. I would absolutely stay here again.

This is a beautiful hotel. The room is large and spacious. The bed was clean and comfortable. However it is unbelievable that they make you pay for parking, and there is almost none as it is also used as airport parking.

The beds were really comfortable. The room was inviting. I wish we had the chance to stay longer than a 4 hour overnight. Very fortunate that we were able to find a great deal on a room because we wouldn't have been able to afford it otherwise.

This place was ok. We couldn't get a king bedroom but got 2 queens instead. Stepped on carpet to go into bathroom and stepped on something sharp probably a nail or carpet stapler sticking out. Notified front desk which they tried to fix it. They did apologize and gave us a complimentary coupon for the lounge. One other down fall is we have to pay $25 parking fee.

Clean, new and modern. The XYZ bar was a nice place to hang out in the evening with lots of comfortable seating. The hotel is close to the airport so you can hear bug planes taking off but the rooms are well insulated. I would recommend to stay here if you need to be close to the airport for a late arrival or early departure.

Everything is very modern and looks a bit like a college dorm. Dude in the front desk is very indifferent to guests and the room setup is quite weird. They won't let delivery drivers in. Other than that comfortable hotel.

The location fit my needs well, the décor has a modern contemporary feel. The room was adequate in size. The room had a HDMI jack for the TV which was great for plugging in a Chromecast.

Stayed at many of the w and aloft hotels and I love them. The rooms are always very clean and put together. This trip though was horrible, we were double charged for our room which put us out over 300 on new years eve and was told there was nothing theu could do about it. They were very rude about the whole situation.

Stayed at Aloft with a small dog, they are allowed to roam around the lobby, which is nice. Our first time staying they had a doggy bed and some treats in the room for the dog, this time around there were none. Overall, location and service are great. Drinks at the bar were strong. Board games and pool table lobbyside. Kudos for no added dog fee.

Brand new hotel. Rooms are quite nice. Lounge area really good, but loud music gets in the way when in the front desk talking to staff. I'd return there should the need to stay in the area arises.

I've stayed here twice in the last two months, both times the service was quick and painless and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location of this hotel is great with the close proximity of restaurants, supermarkets, and the airport.

Everything about this hotel is superb and new. The only downside, and a major one, is its location — you feel the building vibrating every 30 minutes or so whenever a takeoff occurs. This is especially bad when you're trying to fall asleep late night…

I like the style of the hotel. The rooms are basic, but have a nice modern décor. The amenities are modern including USB changing ports where you need the and AV hookups to the TV so you can stream content easily. If you bring a Chromecast you are golden. The bar and pool area are nice as well. I have stayed here many times and the experience has been consistent. Nice quick access to SFO and to BART across the street.

Absolutely superb. Clean. Modern. Spacious. Affordable, yet Luxury. 15 minute walk to rapid transit and free shuttle to SFO Airport.

Ok place. Modern interior, but a bit industrial feeling. Ok price at 50% discount but not worth anything near the full price. Most disappointing was their new policy to not keep luggage after you check out. Really ruined my last day in SF.

Nicklaus Bertulfo is a completely unprofessional manager. It's too bad; great location but the staff is ridiculous.

Probably some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Early morning front desk worker (wish I'd gotten his name) got us to the airport on time by going the extra mile and anticipating our needs. Couldn't get through the phone system to find a manager — so hope one sees this review and thanks him for us.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I travel frequently for work and this is by far the worst hotel I've ever been to. They charged me a walk in rate $440 because they knew people had no other option. Priceline listed it for $410, and they wouldn't even honor that rate, wanted me to book it through Priceline instead of right at the counter with them. I'm a travel agent and we often get travel agent rates, they wouldn't honor that either. Arrived at 1145, bar closes at 12. No hot food available. Over priced typical gas station style processed stuff only. They don't offer room service, they are an "accessories hotel", meaning they're basically a glorified Motel 8. The rude staff told me I could order pizza, when it came at 2am the rude awful girl at reception, who is too busy texting to help anyone else, neglected to mentioned I had to come down from the 4th floor to the lobby to get it. Rude awful staff, don't let the branding fool you, this place is a 0/100 and there is nothing they can do to change that. Do not stay here.

This was after I already made my rating for the stay at Aloft, which was nice for one day, I must admit (I hated just the restriction that the windows could not be opened). BUT: One manager booked above all services also fantasy costs for parking (over $ 23. Xx), although we traveled not by car (justwith the shuttlebus from SFO airport) and the booking was 2 days after we already left. Checking my transactions 10 days afterwards, when the credit card statement came in, I realized the false booking and called them by phone (my luck that I had a bill! ). They hold me on line more than 10 minutes and told me after I spoke with 3 different people, that the manager who did this, is not available but they will recharge my account. Onlybecause the account is in europe it would take longer than usual, aprox. 10 days. They had no allowance to charge me two days after I already left and I didn´t get the information at all. For me this seems to be a fraud, which they do on purpose, thinking that nobody will check the bookings. So to anybody who is staying there, please let them know that you will check your credit card properly and do not allow such actions or transactions! best regards amarecht.

From the 101 you will not miss this hotel. It looks like a blue rainbow and a sun vomited on the side of an Ikea-like building. Oh, and look for a parking lot so tight that it would make a nun blush. My first room had revolutionary water pressure that would make anyone want to take multiple showers in a day. I found out that the other rooms do not enjoy such luxury. The room number will be kept a secret. If you are lucky enough to get one of these rooms, you'll understand! Aloft is like the Ikea of furniture whereas the nearby Westin would be considered Room and Board. The rooms are comfortable but spartan, personally Westin is more my style. The hotel can be loud as it's on the flight path, so if you're a light sleeper bring some earplugs! The staff aren't anything spectacular and they do not respond well when the lobby fills up with people! Housekeeping on the 4th floor, other hand, were beyond spectacular! Oooh! You now have a clue of where the revolutionary water pressure is.

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was booked a room a location different than the one I desired (due to the incompetent 'reservation specialist' who took my call), and the subsequent hotel refuses to give me a refund! Are you kidding me?! What kind of business do you think you are.

Nice place but felt like I was the only one there. Can't really see much of the airport as I love to watch the planes come and go. The snack bar is overly expensive! $4.50 for two small cupcakes! $6 for 15.2 OZ of Odwalla Vanilla Protein shake! $3 for 20 OZ soft drink! None of which includes tax! If you want people to buy more often, then lower your prices to a more reasonable price! High-speed Internet is roughly about 4.5Mbps which is better than many hotels I've been in. You would still have some buffering if you're trying to watch a 1080p video though. I would have given all 5 stars if it weren't for the extreme prices for snacks! Thanks aloft.

Decent experience for a 1 night business stay. Needed a quick stay for a early am SFO flight. The checkin process at 11pm was painless. The room is very modern and spacious. The only problem was that it really is very close to the airport and you can hear every plane landing and taking off, so we did not get a very good night sleep. The bed is very comfortable and bathroom very clean. Also, parking is $23/night and the rates are rather high for this area.

I have never written an online review before this experience. After "lost reservations" and multiple assurances from staff, multiple members of our group including myself have been double charged. Promises were not kept for my bride and the complete lack of awareness from hotel staff was at first dissapointing. Thus far, the responce from their staff in lue of this issue has been completely lacking and they have yet to address their mistakes. After an amazing weekend with family and friends I am left with a scummy SCAMY taste. At this point I would rate this hotel in the negative because I now must call the remainder of our group to determine the extent of Aloft's mistakes. I check my books, apparently Aloft does not.

Due to a cancelation of my flight, I had to also cancel my trip to SFO. As soon as I realized I would not make it to SFO, I called the hotel to find there is a 2 day cancellation clause. I explained the situation to the SPG reservation person, who then called the hotel to see if they would waive the 1 night cancellation fee. They said "No". I had to prove I had a canceled flight. Ok, look I have been a platinum member of Starwood in the past, currently Gold, I stay at this hotel when I am in SFO and this is the way I am treated? Just wrong. I am mailing a letter of complaint, along with my cut in half loyalty card. For now on, it is Marriott and Hilton. They have honored issues like this in the past without demanding of proof that I am honest.

Just as advertised. This hotel delivers on many fronts. It is clean, very comfortable and in a fantastic location (for business). So often hotel websites find those perfectly angled pics only to find that's not how things are upon check-in. This Aloft is just how it is advertised on their website. I have stayed here over a dozen times and my experience has been consistently good. This is one of my favorite business hotels.

Modern, upbeat style Hotel depicting a four star like experience. Comforable, clean beds, big bathrooms and much to offer. My family and I were very pleased. Looking forward to our next stay within another Aloft.
