Overall it was a good spot. Cheapest deal in Crescent City, about a mile from the water, right door to food and groceries, and the lady who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. Beds were sufficient and clean. Wish we had more towels, but all-in-all, for a one night stay while driving through one road trip, it was exactly what we needed it to be.

I agree with the price comments. The rooms are okay what you see in the pictures are what u ganna get… the lady was so nice!. Room doesnt smell bad at all. Not bad tho.

Place is ok. Not as nice as I was expecting, but clean. Price was too high for what we got. Quality Inn was cheaper and three times nicer.

Room is old and rundown. Said sauna but it was not open. Way overpriced. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Springs were poking me. Had good TV lineup but TV is really old.

Terrible. This place was a dump. Smelled like an old trailer, no a/c. Temp was in the 60s outside, but could have used some air as it was stuffy. Old, ugly outdated furniture. Just ugly and stinky. Don't stay here if you have other options. Had to leave window open at night so you could breathe, but this is a security risk. The only positive is the lady at the front desk was super nice.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The beds were comfy and each had 4 pillows which was nice. I liked that the rooms had microwaves and mini fridges. There were also pastries and fruit in the morning. The place was a bit run down, but clean and comfy.

The hotel is old. It's was reasonably clean but smelled like it used to be a smoking room. Had to get febreeze to be able to sleep in there. Blankets full of cigarette burns, but laundered. Got stuck on the Taco Bell side. Drive through is annoying. Also parking is terrible. Not enough for the amount of rooms. Would not stay here again.

Clean, needs major updating. No A/C or fan. Building looks run down. But overall not terrible. Receptionist was very nice and helpful with Redwood Tour planning.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Although somewhat older but still good in weft!

Very sketchy part of town, run down facility, not many decent places to eat. I'd look for a place in a different town if just passing through.

Five stars. For $50, this hotel was everything we could ask for. Clean, roomy, and friendly help. I would recommend staying here.

While the price was right, the Wi-Fi was terrible–only had one bar and kept dropping the connection. And DO NOT get a room on the backside or you will be greeted with the sounds of the Taco Bell drive thru all evening long until closing at 1am. That said, the staff is extremely nice and helpful, she even came to the room to check the Wi-Fi on her device and promised to call their provider the next day, but alas all in all made for a frustrating and tired evening.

Rooms were nice but dingy. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke.

Looking at the reviews I was a little nervous but I decided to stay here anyways. When I arrived the receptionist was incredibly helpful! We were planning on seeing the Redwoods and not only did she give us a map, she made marks on the map were we should go. It made our day trip so much better. The room is what you pay for though. With it being so close to the parks, hotels are not cheap.

Very friendly staff and the bathroom was very clean but this place really really need a renovation: *there is not AC in any unit *the furniture is run down, the beddings are old *carpet is stained and rough *rooms are smelly *and the appearance is not nice It was a ok place to spend the night, it was expensive for what we paid, even though it was under the 100s. We would not come black.

Room seems ok, but no AC or fan… so warm, stale, air… ick!

BED BUGS! That's right, I got attacked and bit in the middle of the night. I don't really do review on hotels unless it was really bad. Labor Day weekend! Over paid for room. TV was real bad and old. It was hard to work the shower to get the hot water. At 1am found lots of bugs in the bed. Never experience that before. They did give me a refund and were very concerned. However, spent the night in my van and weeks later had over a hundred bites. No kidding.

Staying here for 10 nights. The manager is really nice and helpful. Things are close to the hotel, and the rooms are clean and well serviced. Rather comfortable bed, not very soft but I slept great. Some traffic noise but not so bad.

OK for the money. The minus-no fridge and microwave. After staying in Travelodge in Milpitas, CA I felt like in 4 star hotel! The room was clean, no bad smell like cheap motels can have, bedding was clean and great pillows. Remodeled clean bathroom. Nice stuff at the front desk. The coffee was gross though, tasted like tap water (which has a strong odor over there).

We stayed at this Travelodge and the managers provided excellent tourist suggestions. I asked for a room with two beds and signed the receipt. The room only had one bed, so I asked for another room and they provided me one. A month later I received a bill for $148 for the night rather than the $78 I originally paid for. The managers increased the charge on my credit card without my consent and provided my credit card company with an inflated bill for $148 to justify their charges which I never saw and would not have approved. Watch out for overbilling if you decide to stay at this hotel.

The one great thing about this place is its sauna. The rest is mostly complaints — extremely thin walls (we could hear next door's door opening and closing, as well as the TV) ; scratchy towels; shower stall instead of a bathub, with only the tiniest of shelves for shower supplies — couldn't even fit its own bar of soap and shampoo bottle there easily; not enough power outlets, phone didn't work, TV remote worked only if you pushed in the battery in back and pushed the buttons really hard and held them down, alarm didn't go off. The cars driving by and the uncomfortable bed were the least problematic — it's on a busy street, and I've slept on worse beds. Other small, ok/good things: good hangers, decent-sized TV, free ice, luggage rack, coffee, convenient to lots of shopping/ service places.
