Trying to sleep and all I can smell is marijuana. Super nauseating.

Pet space was nice, for a motel it was decent definitely on the pricy end. Beds were comfortable though you could hear road noise. The front desk was very helpful and got us into a room quickly even though we arrived early. No microwave in room but was good for an overnight stay :)

Room is nice & great location & pet friendly.

My fifth business stay here since March! Always excellent service matched with the best hospitality from the front desk! I will continue booking here for future business stays.

The Hotel was nice and it was about to sway my Business back to Best Western. But last night we came back to the Hotel to find no parking and people parked in the middle of the driveway, parking open areas and in the red and Fire zones. The front desk had us park in front of the office and promised that our car will be okay. Well this Morning when we were Checking out our car was damaged by a hit and run. Clown at the front desk claim that he couldn't find anything on Video but the Manager said the Camera doesn't show that area which one is it? So we made a police report and I'm about to be their worst nightmare.

This is a very clean and well maintained location. Theres a Dennys here that does room service and is open 24 hours. Right off the freeway which is nice too. Downside is the beds are not super plush or soft but they are good for a few days. Parking can be somewhat tricky. On site laundry (did not use), vending machines (the snacks one only takes dollar bills). Overall a good value for the price and location. Close to Universal which is what we came here for!

Great staff, clean rooms, and ideally located next to a major freeway. Would definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

Very nice property with up-to-date rooms, modern facilities and spacious room. Good internet. Nice beds. Really good value for the prevailing price range. Be sure to get a room on the third floor as Sepulvdia Blvd is noisy (supplied ear plugs are a clue).

The rooms were clean and organized, as expected. The staff were helpful and the location was very convenient being close to the highway, gas stations, and stores. The one very significant detail that is missing from a 5 star review is that they don't have complimentary breakfast.

Pros: — pool is a decent size — plenty of sun for tanning — rooms are newly updated — grounds are kept very clean — staff are great — Dennys on site — laundry for longer stays — couple of hummingbird hang by the pool occasionally Cons: — parking (welcome to LA) — rooms are a little noisy — quality of shampoo and conditioner could be better. (Not a fan of the citrus)

The hotel is conveniently located on Sepulveda Blvd. They are close to The Getty, Lake Balboa Park, shopping, and Universal Studios. The rooms are fairly clean. One of my pillows must not have been changed because it smelled like a man. That was not comforting. We stayed at this hotel because our AC was broken and our apartment was sweltering. This hotel came through in a pinch. We came around 1 am so parking was non-existent. The parking spots are tight so be aware of that. My biggest issue is that when I called for room availability, I got a decent quote. However, after arriving with my kid sleeping in my arms, I quickly signed my agreement so that I could get my child settled. It was my error for not being thorough and being too trusting. That led me to a surprise of a higher final total then expected. I felt taken advantage of.

The motel has been updated well, and is very clean. I would stay here again if in the area. The facility does not have a free breakfast that many other Best Western locations offer. However, a Denney's restaurant is located between two wings of the hotel, so a place to eat is very convenient. The lobby area does offer Starbucks coffee for free to guests at the hotel. The motel is easy to find as located close to a freeway.

Great location with convenient access to the freeway. Only a 10-15 minutes from Universal Studios. The rooms are clean, but need to be renovated. The Denny’s on property makes eating a breeze. The only major issue we had was how tight the parking was. My small compact car barely fit in between the lines.

Best Western is easy to find just off I-405. Though an older facility, the staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, and parking was available. The outdoor landscaping with all the flowers was beautiful. For the price, I would stay at the Best Western Plus Carriage Inn again the next time I come to visit my son.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. It was a little pricey, but hey, it's LA, so that's expected. At the same time, it was clean and comfortable. The service was terrific… fast and easy check-in anc The Denny's next door came in REAL handy, too, for early morning breakfasts. Plus it was very close to the venue I visited for an event. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

This place gave me a horrible experience. The first couple of nights were fine as the rooms seemed cleaned. The final night I stayed at this hotel a roach was found in my hotel room (took pictures for proof) this wasn’t handled properly by the hotel staff. They sent maintenance to my room and they guy flew out of there after the bug was confirmed. The manager said he would back from lunch in 2 hours (it was 9pm) only to offer me a discount of 20% of what I paid for the hotel that night. I won’t be giving this place my business again.

This was a clean and convenient place to stay when I had to make an unexpected trip to the Los Angeles area. Staff was friendly, helpful and kind. The Denny's on site was a super place for breakfast. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for renovations while I was there but looks nice. Laundry facilities are handy and a decent value. 24/7 traffic and street noise are my only real complaint, but I'm not a city girl.

Nice mid range hotel. Very nice staff and well run. Could stand more comfortable pillows.

Overall it was good, but there was construction going on and it was very dusty, so pool was also closed and there were people always smoking near elevators which was annoying, I mean there is plenty of space in the parking lot right in front of the building, but near elevators and the smell came all the way to the rooms. While booking there was no mention of construction. If they can rectify the above comments this place is actually pretty decent, the front desk staffs are very nice and courteous.

Beautiful, clean room. Friendly staff. Safe neighborhood. Lots to do nearby. Gorgeous greenery almost makes you forget you're in the city! Online reviews mentioned that the Denny's shares the parking lot, but we didn't find it any problem at all. The pool is currently closed for remodeling, but since the weather is still cooler, it wasn't a problem on this trip. We'll definitely stay here the next time we're in town!

Although hotel was going through renovations, it was never an inconvenience. The people who were working on the hotel were very considerate. Can't wait to stay there again when renovations are complete. Great experience overall.

I visited the Denny's connected to the Best Western Inn after a concert. Helpful that it's 24 hours since it was the only thing open. Seating was taking a while despite all of the open spaces, so just slow on their part. Service was decent. Food was pretty warm but I know it wasn't completely fresh since the broccoli was soggy, cheddar potatoes had just shredded cheese on top of normal potatoes. The country fried chicken tasted the best. Crunchy on the outsides and not too salty. It took up half of the plate it was served on.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was a little nervous when booking this hotel because it was about $75 cheaper than a hotel only 15 minutes away. The hotel was nice and clean, newly remodeled inside and out with new furniture. I also liked that there were 2 vanities in the room, which made it easier for my husband and I to get dressed at the same time.

It was very clean. Bed was comfy. Great hotel staff. There was an indoor pool and hot tub which was great. The breakfast was good they had hot food and cold.

Amazing service in the front desk. Heated pool was a plus since its the first time I visit Hollywood when its cold! Hot tub! Staff is great and super friendly! Will come back!

Great location if you are planning to do Universal Studios, as well as Six Flags as the hotel is right by the highway exit. The rooms are clean and have all you need for a good rest. Friendly personnel at the lobby!

Much better than I had expected. Clean rooms friendly staff very comfy beds. Two complaints. Parking sucks. Horribly sucks. Room service is through Denny's which is on site. If only they answered the phone… oh well I dressed walked over and got take out. Parking can be an issue, the Denny's was just an ah shucks I can't he lazy.

Clean, comfortable, convenient but not quiet. Very near highway, on the corner of Burbank and Sepulveda. Not a quiet spot, but very convenient for getting anywhere. We were happy to be close to Universal Studios. The room slept all four of us with no problem and the staff were helpful and welcoming.

We planned on staying here briefly on the way to our daughter's wedding in Carpinteria. However, terrible mudslides made her wedding venue inaccessible and all our plans changed. Suddenly, this hotel became our wedding central. Many of our guests changed their reservations and stayed there. The staff was incredibly helpful as we needed all kinds of things, like recommendations for hair salons and a room to assemble the wedding flowers. They get an A+ for helpfulness.

Great value for any budget minded person without giving up on luxury. Best staff I have dealt with. All were kind and seemed to care about the quality of service they presented. Highly recommend.

Reasonable price. Clean and good customer service. Wi-Fi is great speed. Not like annoying slowness or dropping connection in most of the hotels. Keep it up.

This Best Western is a great location for visiting Universal Studios. Easy access to the highway and surrounded by great restaurants. The hotel was quiet, clean, and we felt very safe. The Staff was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Very nice motel in Sherman Oaks, has right a Denny's next door. There are plenty of parking spaces. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The room was very large and beautifully furnished. All in all, a really good motel that I can only recommend to others.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Was my first time in LA and couldn't be happier with the service and this is coming from a true New Yorker. Room cleans, decor great and pool was just perfect. Denny diner right inside the hotel. Just perfect hotel.

This is a motel and not a hotel! Have been misadvised by the travel agency. The rooms are fine, but it's very noisy all night. You can't book breakfast. The accommodation is overpriced! Have had better and cheaper with breakfast on the way from San Francisco via Las Vegas to L. A.!

Pros: Convenient location if you are going to be visiting Universal Studios or Hollywood attractions. Interior was newly renovated and decorated. Nice sized tv's with decent channels. A Denny's is on location which was convenient. Staff was friendly and courteous. Price was reasonable. AC/Heat worked great, beds were comfortable, and had ample mirror and counter space for getting ready as well as two sinks. Cons: We had no hot water the first morning, likely due to it being a popular time to shower. We showered earlier the remaining days and didn't have any issues. No breakfast included, but having the Denny's on location was nice and the prices seemed average for Denny's.

Really good hotel. Very clean room & friendly staff. However, parking is horrible. I drove around for 20 mins. In the parking lot looking for an available space. If the parking lot was to be improved, that would be great. Overall experience here was good!

Great customer service and very nice rooms. The only issue with this location is the parking lot, I arrived around 10:30pm and I found the last spot, but it was a very tight spot and I didn't want to park there. So I asked the receptionist and he said I could park in the "reserved" spots. So I moved my car and luckily found a reserved spot and my car fit really good in that spot. And I guess since it's a smaller location, they don't offer breakfast. I understand, so that wasn't much of an issue.

Very clean and nice rooms. The front desk guys are nice, polite, and we'll dressed. Lots of free parking. Denny's is in the middle for when your hungry. Quiet area. Close to Universal City, Warner Bros. And Hollywood. Pool was clean and nice to swim in. "Clean" remote. Free Wi-Fi.

The room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable, but smaller than expected — — We were okay with that since we planned to be out most of the time. The bathroom ventilation fan did not appear to be working so the bathroom got a little smelly at times. We had to cut our stay short (from 3 nights to 2 nights) because one of us was not feeling well and we needed to go home. The hotel staff was very helpful with changing our reservation and not charging us for the extra (unused) night. We really appreciated that and will come back again soon!

The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and pleasant. The only thing I would recommend is that each room should have a microwave in it.

The room was either too cold or too hot, no in between. The blanket on the bed provided was a thin knitted blanket, very uncomfortable. Our phone rang three separate times during the night. The people above us seemed to have partied all night long, music played all the way till 3 am. The staff however was very kind. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again.

The room was spacious for the price, the bed is really comfortable, and the hot water is HOT. Really great price (same as anything else in the area) and a really great room.

Very nice for the cost and purpose. It's not a resort type get away and there aren't many frills, but it's clean and we'll maintained, recently renovated decor in the rooms, and a pleasant and helpful staff.

This is a good hotel for a couple of nights especially if you have a large group of people. There's nothing special about it. You get exactly what you expect. It's convenient, friendly, and clean.

For the price it was great! Excellent Keurig coffee machine with Starbucks pods, good size refrigerator, clean room, comfortable. Bed, nice flat screen tv, two sinks and comfortable bathtub and nice size closet space with ample clothing drawers. I worked in the room and the desk was a great size for both my computer, printer, lamp, adding machine, etc. I felt very safe and was appreciative. Of the professional, helpful and kind front desk personnel. The hotel was booked solid for a week and every time I met a guest on the property they were very nice and polite. Never saw any homeless people like the previous reviewer wrote. I love the fact that dogs are allowed and the property allows for. Lots of areas to walk them and clean up after them. I also love the fact that it's a non-smoking hotel. Lots of great rreataurants. Of all prices nearby, as well as a super Target in case you need anything last minute. I will always stay here with my dogs whenever I visit or have a long term stay in LA. Thank you so much to the staff at this hotel!

Clean hotel with direct access to the 405 @ 101 freeways. Friendly staff and super comfortable bedding. All around solid hotel.

Service was great and so was the location. Found a sock in the room and the bathroom door wouldn't close. The sheets we're also stained. Parking is limited if you get there late.

No Breakfast. Homeless going thru the trash and sleeps under the underpass. Crappy remodel. Only 1 elevator works. No parking if come a little late. Its right off the freeway exit, so you can hear the freeway noise. Do NOT recommend staying here.

Clean rooms, Good customer service and great rates to AAA members, however, as the sun begins to set a lot of suspicious activity seems to take place. A lot of sketchy people walking in and out of rooms and hanging around the hotel. It is fairly noisy because it sits on a busy street, but If you just need a quick place to lye your head it's a decent buy, but I wouldn't recommend for extended stays. I just always felt I had to be extra alert of my surroundings.

Outstanding. The service is top notch, the lobby is great as are most of the public spaces. A spacious room and comfortable bed. For Chicago locations one of the best in terms of nearby food: try ING Cafe, Tempo, El Souk, Johnny's Grill. All are within 1/2 mile or so.

Had a wonderful stay with my wife for our anniversary. Staff was very friendly and helpful, accommodations were beautiful. We had some drinks in the hotel bar and then walked to dinner. Great location with its proximity to Rush Street as well as the Mag Mile.

Got in late at night went to bed, got up in the morning and found Bloody buggers on the walls. In the morning asked the office to have it cleaned before I left for the day. Came back late that night to find that all of them had not been cleaned. Good luck on Parking.

We like it a lot, the only down side was the bathroom door hard to close and the bath tub very slipery. However we recomended it and will stay again.

Very nice! Great location for going to Van Nuys, Malibu, and Hollywood. Great service from hotel maids and wonderful food at Dennys out front. I would definitely give a recommendation for anyone to stay there.

Ppl complaining about this place are high. This was a beautiful hotel with a great pool. Very easy to find, the parking lot is a bit tight but Dennys is attatched for quick close meals-plus 10% off while u stay. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. And god bless our house keepers who put up with out room shared between 4 girls dealing with our mass of make up, hair products, jewelry, clothes, clothes, and clothes. And nothing went missing as far as we know (and believe me, we kept an eye for that just because it does happen).

We stayed there for 4 nights in the spring of 2013. The place is convenient and easy to get to, the staff adequate and the room while not new, was clean and comfortable. My only problem was my credit card was scammed by someone in their reservations system or at the hotel and used it to purchase stuff online in southern California (we are from Nevada). I reported it to my credit union, they cancelled the card and reimbursed me for the fraudulent charges, but I felt like their security was lacking. I would be very careful to check your credit card statement after using this place, particularly.

The Staff was nice, especially the cleaning staff. My mom usually brings her own bedding and stuff to 5 star hotels because she still gets grossed out at hotels. She is extremely picky about cleanliness. She complained the whole way to the hotel and finally stopped when she entered her room. Even she was impressed on the White bed spreads and how clean the rooms were. She stopped complaining the rest of the stay! There was plenty of supplies and we didn't have to call and ask for any additional supplies. I was extremely impressed on how clean the beds were. If the rooms were not up to my moms standers I would have had to hear my mom complain the rest of our trip, but because they met even mom mother's standers. I was able to enjoy my stay in peace with no complaining. Thank you! I normally do not take the time to time to write reviews for anything but not having to listen to days of complaining saved my sanity and made my stay extremely peaceful (no stress). Thanks again.

I liked our room! It was my bad on my part for not checking the reviews before booking at this location. I was skeptical to pursue our stay because of the "hookers" and "non-cleanliness" reviews but I was wrong. Upon entering the parking lot I was surprised by the nice pathways on the lot and when entering the room I was surprised by how nice and clean the room looked! It was more than what I expected. I payed about 120 for a single night and I would say it was worth it.
